Box Office Manager - full time

Pavilion Theatre, the municipal theatre for D�n Laoghaire-Rathdown, is now seeking applicants for the following position:

BOX OFFICE MANAGER

The Box Office Manager is a member of Pavilion�s senior management team, reporting directly to the Director.

Responsibilities in this full-time position include:

� Overall supervision of the Box Office including a full understanding of the Databox system and regular updating of same
� Management of temporary and part time box office staff including rostering, training and authorisation of time sheets
� Preparation and checking of box office financial returns

The ideal candidate will have at least two years Box Office experience with an arts/cultural organisation, with excellent interpersonal and administrative skills, IT competence, and significant experience of the Databox system.

This position is for an initial two year contract.

Te job is PART TIME and is for the period of pre- production, rehearsal and presentation of �The Bacchae�

The production is profit share.

Duties include: General running of the company office; supervising the advertising and promotion of the show in all media; organising the compiling, design and printing of programme, invites, etc; keeping running accounts; liaising closely with, and co-ordinating, artistic and production staff..

Seeking voluntary work in theatre

I'm currently seeking some voluntary work relating to theatre production. I have a wide range of experience with the theatre from performing to being responsible for costume, set design and make-up departments.

I'm a 25 year old art student, I've completed my ordinary Degree in Textile Art and Design in GMIT and I'm taking a year out to gain some work experience before I return for my Honours degree year. I'd be available to work in either Cork, Galway or Dublin city but Galway would be my preference as this is where I'm currently based.

If the work was only temporary or part-time this would be perfectly sufficient but I'm available to begin immediately. I've attached a copy of my CV which includes my current qualifications and relevant work experience to date.

IFI seeks Marketing Officer (Maternity Cover)
The Irish film Institute is currently seeking a Marketing Officer to cover maternity leave. Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Officer will work on a variety of projects including the marketing and promotion of its cinemas programme, festivals and special events.
The Marketing Officer will work on projects which include:
� The delivery of a monthly programme of events � liaising with the programming team, designers and printers
� Design and print of all marketing communications materials for a variety of events and initiatives
� Liaising with film distributors for marketing collateral including trailers, posters, point of sale material etc.
� Development of a revamped website
The Marketing Officer should have excellent communication skills, have a keen eye for detail, and be adaptable to the changing needs of a dynamic environment. Experience in arts marketing is desirable, along with a track record of dealing with designers and printers.

The festival takes place from October 20th - 25th 2009 but volunteers would need to be available from October 12th - 25th.

Duties will include front of house, flyer distribution and possible office work.
