I have loved Fred products for so long! I will have one of each please. I just wish it was easier to get things here in Australia.
Yesterday while in a Wild store for work I came across these sock monKeys and just HAD to have them (note to self, it is probably best not to *squee* in front of clients) I had the old style monKeys which were great. They have a big range of other “keys” cooKeys and more.
Other than bits and pieces in random gift stores, I am not sure where else stocks Fred..anyone got any tips? I did find this eBay store than had a good range of products.

C’mon, how could you resist a hedgehog that fits in an eggcup?! But I think I’ll pass on the croc…

Just when you thought the interwebs had run out of original ideas.
Meet Handerpants. Y-fronts for your mitts. Undies for your paws. Oh dear:

They could very well have practical applications, but LOOK AT THEM! Hillarious. And check out the video and photos on the Handerpants website. Good for a laugh, that’s for sure!
Orders are taken by Archie McPhee, and they’re not exactly easy to buy if you’re not in the States. But it looks like it CAN be done… you’d just have to be very keen to make the effort!

This. Is. The Chrissy Skin Rug.

And I am so completly grossed out right now. Disturbing, yes?
It’s an artwork by Chrissy Conant, and if you go to that link you can read her thoughts on the creation and reasoning behind this. Basically, she laid on the floor and had a cast made of herself, becoming the basis of the finish product.
Maybe this is a new take on the bear-skin rug?? I’m just hoping that the trend doesn’t go mainstream.
It won’t, right??
I could thank my friend Amanda for bringing this disturbance into my life. Maybe not “thank”. Perhaps “acknowledge”. lol

Looking at the photos on their site, these shops look like they’re being run by fans of magazines. Lots of space, lots of titles and even comfy chairs.

They also blog quite frequently – and with a lot more honesty than I would expect from a store. Read up on their difficulties before opening up the Sydney store and their regular My Top 5 Mags section.

The stand-out feature on the Magnation site, though, is the Magdentifier, a funky flash survey with a good sense of humour to identify some mags that you might be interested in. I was told to try reading New Yorker, Red, Frankie and Yen. I’ve only heard of two of those titles, so I have some research to do!

Give the Magdentifier a go and tell us what magazines they think you should read!

If I could justify spending $200 on a piece of silver jewellery, I would be buying this in a heartbeat:

I can’t quite explain why, but I’m head over heels in love with this necklace from Oye Modern, a Sydney-based online store for limited edition designer jewellery.
I discovered Oye Modern through Elizabeth of Scarlet Words.
