If you have followed Front Page on Google Part 1 and Part 2, you would have witnessed a case study on 2 long tail keywords that I’ve been optimizing for the front page on Google for the past week.

In part 1 I started off with 'Social Tribes' on no 17 and for 'Free Blog Syndication' no 7 early yesterday.

You will see at the time these screen shots, I was positioned at no 4 for Free Blog Syndication, no 6 for social tribes and no 5 for social tribe.

To say that I was impressed with my results is an understatement, but here’s the best bit: I actually messed up the entire strategy and still got great results!

I’m not sure if this will have an effect on my rankings over time, but I made a crucial mistake with my bookmarking process (more on that) and only completed half the tasks.

So, as promised and teased in Front Page On Google part 1 and 2 and without holding back on a single thing, here’s the exact strategy that you can duplicate on your next blog post or article:

1.    Thorough keyword research
This step is crucial so please don’t kid yourself. Most Bloggers simply guess and start writing. But if you are going to be spending 30 minutes, an hour or even longer on a blog post, why not take 5 – 10 minutes to really dig into long tail keywords, 3 to 5 word phrases and make that you rank high on search engines?

Data driven decisions outrank wild guessing by many miles.

Use the Google Keyword Tool for thorough keyword research. Make sure that you change the settings to all countries, keep synonyms selected and search.

Have a good look at the advertisers competition and amount of searches. You can go for something like ‘network marketing’, but you are not going to get anywhere with that in one single post. In fact, you will probably need to build an entire authority site around that keyword and build it over a long period of time.

Instead, think of problems that your prospects might be having and offer a solution. Think 3 – 4 word phrases that don’t have much competition. These long tail keywords are generally searched within the hundreds and under a thousand times.

If your search term seems too competitive or if you just want to double check, head over to Google and type ‘allintitle:keyword’ in the search bar.

What that does is deliver the search results of pages / posts that have your keyword phrase within the TITLE. Generally speaking, if the number of competing websites (top right) are under a thousand and you are doing everything else right, you shouldn’t have a problem getting on the Front Page on Google instantly. Of course, there are exceptions to these rules.

2.    Keyword placement
Other than a few crucial placements in my opinion, you don't need to be too concerned about this. Gone of the days of repeating your keywords like a parrot.

It's best to have your keywords in mind and write naturally.

If you can however get the keyword or key phrase positioned within the first sentence or first paragraph, do that.

Throughout the post also bold your key phrase. Everything in moderation of course. This post is a great example of this.

Placing your key phrase as a heading like I've done before the images also score points with the search engine spiders. If it’s suitable, also use your key phrase as anchor text.

IMPORTANT: It’s all good and great to have content that’s perfect for search engine spiders, but writing content for the human eye is much more important. Getting ranked on the front page on Google is great, but if no one wants to read your post, then what’s the point?

3.    Write a new article and post it on Blogger.com
Create a new article from scratch (recommended) focusing on your long tail keywords. This is where I made a huge mistake. I’ll explain shortly.

Make sure that you use anchor text, like I’m using here for social tribes, that links back to your post that you want to rank for.

(don’t forget your key phrase in the TITLE of your blogger post of course!)

4.    Digg and Reddit it!
Create a campaign on Digg and Reddit that leads to your new post that you did on Blogger.

And here is my BIG mistake: I rewrote the original post I did for Blogger. By the time I got to blogger, my original post had already been Dugg by one of our readers and Digg does not accept duplicates. So again, be sure to keep your post on blogger original.

5.   Bookmark Your Digg and Reddit Campaign

Here’s the fun part! Bookmark your campaigns on Digg and Reddit Submissions and bookmark then across 3 different bookmarking networks.

Now it is really important that you get someone else to do the bookmarking for you. This is where  Syndd comes into play. Synnd, together with parts of the Superspindle Strategy as mentioned above, is a great way to outsource all your social and internet marketing in minutes.

Without this you will need lots of time on your hands and 2 to 3 dozen friends to help you out religiously for every single blog post or piece of marketing that you choose to do.

Final step that I didn’t complete:
Bookmark your submissions page on Digg and Reddit on 3 other bookmarking networks that you didn’t use in Step 5. Your submissions page is the page that shows all the content that you have submitted to Digg and Reddit.

Is it time to change course? Internet network marketing recruiting has become the norm for most new school network marketers.

Not sure on exact figure, but its safe to say (or is it?) that the majority of new network marketing recruits despise the fact of making a list of their friends and family and doing any type of marketing offline. This especially for us online addicts that live for online marketing strategies and avoid all one on one contact with our prospects.

Question is, are we leaving money on the table?

Mike Dillard of Magnetic Sponsoring fame dropped the bomb this week by announcing the complete unexpected. Mikes announcement stopped hundreds of internet network marketers dead in their tracks.

Mike Dillard, the master of attraction and internet network marketing, focuses on offline prospecting strategies for his network marketing business. This is a major paradigm shift for many.

In fact, a paradigm shift that will be responsible for a mind opening conscious awareness of untapped niche markets and somewhat forgotten marketing methods for some.

Mike explains that with the current state of the economy, there are more and more people streaming to the network marketing industry. Not just for extra vacation money anymore, but rather as a necessity to provide for their families and for pure survival.

There is the massive ‘baby boomer’ generation that is flocking to our industry and will be for the next coming years.

These are people with great communication and leadership skills that are not interested in creating a MLM Blog or learning how to market online.

They like their business to be done face to face, over the phone and preferably with handshakes.

It seems like common sense to have systems in place that cater for them instead of trying to enforce education of internet network marketing recruiting when they simply want to get out there and do business with the skills they already posses.

Mike confesses that this might not be his primary strength, but it is that of his long-time mentors, the one and only Todd Falcone.

Todd and Mike hosted a conference call on Thursday evening where Todd shared his secrets of ‘sponsoring up’ and restoring confidence and posture within yourself to grab the big fish from the big pond.

To clarify, that would be the choice of chasing after burger flippers vs going after real-estate agents in your local area. Not to discredit burger flippers of course, but it’s a job where income is dependent on hours worked and has no skills in common with the network marketing industry.

Real-estate agents on the other hand do what we do, they are just doing it somewhere else at this point in time.

Todd lives by this approach by not just teaching, but applying it in practice. Todd’s prospect list consists of real-estate agents as mentioned, retail business owners, mortgage brokers, sales professionals and baby boomers who have retirement funds to invest.

Within all that said, is internet network marketing recruiting dead? Of course not, but as professional all round marketers, should we ignore a huge growing market of potential MLM rockstars who are hungry for success?

So should we rephrase the question in the beginning to:

In yesterdays case study of Front Page On Google in less than 18 hours, we were ranking no 7 for long tail keywords free blog syndication and no 17 (page 2) for social tribes.

Although I was planning to focus on really drilling these keywords for a good week with various content syndication strategies and tools before documenting another update, I simply couldn't resist!

I'm also learning lots in the process. Today I started out by doing a short utility post on Better Networker titled Free Blog Syndication With Social Tribes (Thanks To 3 Facebook Pages).

The shorter utility post only talks about the original post on thatMLMbeat and links back with anchor text with our 2 targeted keywords.

I then wrote a whole new article touching on different aspects of the topic and posted that on Blogger. I did another mix with the title which concluded as Social Tribes Being Used for Free Blog Syndication (Thanks to Facebook).

Monitoring the search engine placements, three different Google searches have delivered 3 different results. Is this a result of Google's recent alignment with Twitter to include real-time search results?

The ranking for free blog syndication has climbed one up to no 6, back to 7 and after checking for one last time, back to 6 but also adding the utility post on Better Networker in on 9th position.

Social Tribes have reached the goal of the first page which has been alternating between the 9th and 10th position. What's interesting is that we are also ranking no 9 for the single plural social tribe, which adds 50% more searches to the mix. Nice!

Let's see how much higher we can rank for these long tail keywords and then I'll reveal the entire process. Can you see how the keywords are positioned within the last 3 posts and what's causing them to rank high?

Front page on Google in less than 18 hours? Yesterday I completed a post about Social Tribes and free blog syndication.

The purpose of this post was to get the word out on 3 Facebook Pages independently managed by Kary Rogney, Ken Pickard and Michael Feil that focus on free blog syndication.

What this post also accomplished was to get placed on the second page on Google for one keyword and on the front page on Google for the other. This all happened in less than 18 hours!

Ironically, all I did was complete the post and hit submit. That's it! The only promotion I did for this blog post was to update my status on Facebook and Twitter.

How did I do it? You will be shocked at how simple it is to be positioned within the first 2 pages on Google with a single blog post.

Wordpress blogs are extremely powerful and all you need to do is position your keywords in the right places and tweak a few minor things.

Don't worry, I am going to share the complete step by step process that I followed to do this in a later video.

But first, I am putting myself up for a challenge. At the time of writing this, Social Tribes - 3 Facebook Pages For Free Blog Syndication is positioned at no 17 on page 2 for the keyword Social Tribes. The other keyword I focused on was free blog syndication and it's positioned at no 7 on Google's page 1.

I have to admit, I was a little greedy focusing on 2 longtail keywords, but nevertheless, it worked.

So here's the challenge:

In the next coming days I am going to focus on improving these rankings. The goal is to get Social Tribes on page 1 and free blog syndication to climb at least 2 positions. Or, let's say at least 3. (I might regret typing that!)

Over the past few weeks I have been testing a few excellent software applications for content syndication, so this will be the ultimate test.

Now, if Front Page On Google In Less Than 18 Hours - Part 2 doesn't arrive in the next week, then you know that I failed miserably!

With literally the entire world on Facebook, more and more smaller communities, a.k.a social tribes, are connecting like minded network marketers and social media enthusiasts.

These social tribes started out with Facebook groups, which had more of a ‘vanity’ layout with the focus on the group creator rather than place focus on social interaction.

Facebook Pages however are quite the opposite. Facebook Pages are all about the interaction, commenting, approving (like feature) of status updates and making conversation.

So what’s new? Well, 3 Facebook Pages where you can attract more visitors to your Personal Development or MLM Blog while boosting your social media buzz and retweets on Twitter.

Kary Rogney, Michael Feil and Ken Pickard have created 3 different Facebook Fan Pages for maximum free content syndication.

The idea is simple: As soon as you’ve completed a new blog post, head over to the wall and paste a brief description of your post, the headline and a link to your new post.

There are several conclusions that can be drawn from that strange headline and  possibly even offensive for some. If you are one of the latter, bare with me. This could get interesting.

There are countless golden nuggets buried within this ‘say it like it is’ debate and we are going to elaborate on a few.

So back to the major question: Are you involved in a MLM Marriage or MLM Prostitution? Here is one definition that leads to many.

Gary talks about doing what you love and cashing in on your passion.

As a network marketing professional, are you serving your passion? Or are you strapped into the quick cash mentality? Do you really want to be a network marketer and serve a goal and purpose larger than a downline? Or are you simply doing it for the money.

Of course we all want to make money, but if money is the sole motivation, chances are that you might be accomplishing the opposite.

Let’s dig even deeper.

Gary also mentions that social media is one of the best things that’s happened to the network marketing industry.

While this is true, it’s debatable that it is also the worse.

“Good is going to win, bad is going to lose”, as Gary expressed.

Social media makes it extremely hard to hide and become successful at the same time. The network marketers that’s given the MLM industry a bad rap through scams and unethical business practices now get exposed through a few Tweets and blog posts.

So why is social media bad for network marketing? Spend some time on Twitter and Facebook and experience what the majority are up to: Automated one line pitches vs. Valuable content and authenticity. Or, MLM Marriage vs. MLM Prostitution.

So let’s think ‘Gary’ here for a minute:

If we should be following our passions, creating value while serving our industry and there is no more place to hide with social media network marketing, is it possible to survive as an avid MLM Jumper?

If building a rock solid network marketing business in the new world of social media is dependent on true authenticity and and building a respectable personal brand, can you still be taken seriously in the public eye by jumping from one opportunity to the next?

We are not talking about going through and ethical divorce, the sincere decision to change companies for personal or business reasons. But rather the juggling act of getting caught up in the moment of hype and grabbing every MLM opportunity that meets the eye.

I have to confess myself that it's an honor for me too watching all the positive comments pour in, Tweets going wild and the Top 50 Network Marketing Bloggers take pride in their well deserved accomplishments.

It's an instant justification for time really well spent. In fact, the reward is 10 fold!

To all the network marketers who left comments, shared, tweeted it and even did a blog post linking to our elite 50, thank you for paying it forward.

It all comes back to you and who knows, some of you might even be listed in the Top 50 MLM Blogs for 2010 next year!

John M Fogg expressed in his comment that he was surprised that there were so many blogs that add so much value. John was not the first to mention this.

I was probably the first one when I reached the dilemma of MLM Blog number 36. The list was getting significantly smaller after removing close to a hundred blogs and the thought crossed my mind that 50 is a big number.

Now don't get me wrong, none of the 100 MLM blogs were bad. Some were simply outdated, Network Marketing company specific and others didn't stay true to the criteria. The standard was set and had to be met.

But here's the profound thing that happened at about blog number 48...

I came across several greater network marketing blogs. Even to the point that I was about to reassess reviews that were already completed and good to go.

Nevertheless, the final decision ended up with a bit of a juggle and really nitpicking at the last couple of blogs to determine the final Top 50 MLM Blogs.

Needless to say, what a marvelous motivation to do it again next year, but spice things up a little with a twist of interactivity and definitely relinquishing control over the voting responsibility to you as our readers.

Now wouldn't that be cool!?

Within that said, let me share our mission:

To unite and promote as many existing and new MLM Blogs that deliver real value through their quality content and ensure that all bloggers of our community get the glory and publicity that they deserve.

After reading hundreds of blogs, putting Google Reader to the test by monitoring 294 RSS Feeds and searching through all corners of Social Media sites and search engines, we proudly present to you the Top 50 MLM blogs.

The criteria we used to base the Top 50, the 'cool kids' of MLM blogging, are:

• Quality, original content that focuses on teaching and adding value to the industry
• Updated frequently with the latest post no more than one month old
• Alexa ranking and page rank
