House Pergola in Pattaya

A customer contacted Pornchai Garden requiring a new pergola with raised tiled floor to be constructed on the back of their home in Pattaya. The new pergola was to be utilised as a sheltered outdoor seating and dining area.

The Pornchai Garden team created several different design drawings in 2D and 3D for the customer before a final design was agreed.

The Pornchai Garden team consists of experienced carpenters and builders, who began work constructing the pergola at the clients home.

4 days later, the pergola is finished with an 'imitation wood' tiled floor, built on top of a sturdy concrete base with piling. Switches, lighting and electric fans are all included, with a polycarbon roof to keep the rains outside... The pergola has added a new shaded outdoor relaxation area to this house and garden in Pattaya.

Hiding ugly pipes and air conditioning units is an essential part of any good landscape design in Thailand.

In the example above, this sizeable red pipe runs along the outskirts of a large building in Bangkok. The owners asked the team at Pornchai Garden for a landscaping solution to hide the pipes from view.

The Pornchai team planted some suitable low-lying zesty green coloured shrubs to obscure the pipework, together with a random pebble stone pathway, and some inset patterned coloured pavers, which match well with the wall.

Air conditioners can also be an eyesore in both office, resort and domestic landscapes.

A favourite solution to this problem is to build some form of attractive wooden covering, giving both easy access and good ventillation allowing air to flow. Aesthetic planting around the base or surrounding area will help to make this part of the garden look natural and attractive again.

Often all that is needed to drastically improve a view is some rendered concrete and a lick of paint. In this example above, the plant boxes of this new hotel were rendered with a smooth finish and well painted.

New Hotel Grass and Paver Pathway

A newly built hotel in the Ladprao district of Bangkok asked the Pornchai Garden team to landscape the pathways running along the sides and back of the hotel. As you can see from the pic above, the builders had left large, hard clumps of dry earth, unsuitable for any type of plant growth or grass.

The change is pretty dramatic. The earth has been replaced, and the ground levelled and properly prepared so that new grass is able to grow and thrive. A simple block pathway has been installed along the length of the walkway, with new trees planted along the borders to hide unattractive pipework etc.
