Oh my gosh!! I LOVE that! The colors are perfect :) It looks sooo good!! But you're right... thanks for pointing out the ribbon situation! I didn't think about what it would look like after the happily ever after ribbon was added. That might end up being a little much. Honestly you do such great work, I would love whatever you decide looks best. You play around with it and if it looks better with just one pink, one yellow and the happily ever after ribbon go for it. Thanks so much for the picture and keeping me included in the process. You do amazing work!!

Victoria, the garter just arrived yesterday and it is so beautiful. Holly and I both love the scripture that came with it. I'm always telling Holly that she is on the path that God has for her life. Pharmacy school has been a big sacrifice and sometimes she really needs the affirmation .

Victoria Joanne,

I received the package yesterday! The garter is perfect!!!! I love it -- I tried the pocket out with the horn mouthpiece -- and the size is perfect, not too little, not too big -- and it's strong enough that the mouthpiece doesn't make the garter sag, or stretch the pocket, etc. And the garter feels comfortable and discreet underneath a swishy skirt. So, it's perfect. :) Thankyou so much!!! I am really looking forward to playing my next concert.

Victoria... I can't explain in words how grateful I was to find your site! I am also a creative woman and I think "custom" is a second name of mine. lol I've been self employed for 27 yrs now. Created from my clients mothers wedding dress.

After seeing photos of garter and then subsequently receiving the package here's what Heather had to say.

Both the wedding garter band, and the lace on the dress tag were taken from the wedding dress.

I'm so happy to hear that my bride Amber is completely happy with the wedding garter I created for her. I was scared there for a moment; the fabric I had ordered didn't behave the way I wanted it to. (you can read about that blog here if you like) Amber wanted me to send it to her to see if she wanted it... this is what she had to say when she recieved it.

She was such a pleasant woman to work with. I've included a few excerps of our conversations regarding the ordering of her special wedding garter and a second garter she ordered as a gift for a girl who has a special place in her heart.

I am an expert in some things, but not in the beauty of creating personal wedding garters so as long as you are using the colors and initials that reflect us, you really can't go wrong and I trust your creativity. My experience ordering the custom tags back in June was great. As it was confusing for me at first, (because of the paypal thing) you helped me through it.

The best part is I loved the tags. I put them in my daughter's and future son-in-laws Easter basket and they LOVED them. They are truly beautiful. We had our first dress fittng and we brought the bridal tag and the seamstress thought it was beautiful and a lovely idea.

No matter what you do in life… don’t just do average… Go above and beyond… Give great service and you’re sure to please. I received a beautiful message from a client. It blew me away so wanted to share…

Good Afternoon Victoria Joanne!

I have a (serious) question ... do you accept tips? I have not yet even received my final product, but am blown away by the service that you have provided and the way you cater to each individual. I received my ribbon samples in the mail today (amazing! since we just spoke on Thursday). I was expecting there to be a few different pieces of green ribbon thrown in the envelope, and was so surprised to open it and find where you had neatly taped in each color of green ribbon possible! So, as a "thank you" when sending my payment, I was wondering if it was okay to make it for just a little bit more to show my appreciation?

In addition, I wanted to let you know that you were exactly right. The #1 green ribbon is the perfect color! I think doing the wider version of it with a thin white ribbon would be pretty as well.

Recently I have begun working with a wonderful lady named Hayley who lives in Australia. She has booked a custom order with her keepsake garter to be similar to the one above. Her and her soldiers names will be embroidred onto the front - and then she'll have a smaller garter for tossing which will have their initials sewn onto the band as well. This is what Hayley has to say about her experience thus far.
(I'm ecstatic to know that my creations are the only thing she's gotten this excited about so far!)

Thank you for working on something that is so important and special to me.

My fiance` and I were married years ago and are so excited to get married again. We were VERY young the first time. A lot older and wiser this time.

I was wanting a really nice garter to wear for the ceremony and of course as a keepsake. I looked @ MANY websites, but was SOOOOOOO impressed with yours. I love attention to detail and how beautiful your garters are! I am so pleased to have found you and am extremely excited about getting my very own, one of a kind, special made garter.

I already know that I will be keeping it in my curio cabinet on display instead of packed away in some old trunk. Thanks for all you do and I look forward to working with you as well.

Commissioned to fix a store bought garter that was recieved as a gift!

BEFORE

was a pretty garter with lovely venise lace print... but was generic and the little bow was just GLUED on...

AFTER

My Bride requested me to sew on a few dozen faux pearls and Swarovski Crystals and replace the bow with the decoration shown - 4 bows and 3 small satin roses. Then sew on her names to the sides of the band and add the date to the Inside of the back. It came out lovely.

Message from my bride: (this is what makes my job so WONDERFUL)

OMG! - it's gorgeous - just exactly how I pictured it!!! Thank you so very much. I am soooo excited. You did a fantastic, professional job.
Ship it out - can't wait to wear it :D

Around the beginning of 2010 I had requested a few of my past clients to review me on Wedding Wire. My Client Deanna was kind enough to do so. She wrote one of the most amazing and glowing reviews I've gotten in all my years. (it's by Echospin wedding 3/4/2006)

I was quite taken aback upon reading it, so of course I sent her an email to thank her very much. Her reply was sad yet amazing again. Turns out her and her husband had split up. It was a horrible marriage :( But things are coming back to gether for her. Here's an excerp from her reply... This too touched my heart so much.

THIS IS WHAT MAKES ME WANT TO KEEP DOING WHAT I DO!

I just wanted to make sure someone reading it realized that you actually care about your customers which is a very rare thing these days especially for someone who specializes in items that will not normally generate repeat business from the same customer. Whether you think it is a big deal or not, what you did for me really did add something special to my wedding day. Not only was it my "Something Blue" but it created one more connection to my heritage. Like I said in my review, the garter really was one of the very last things for me to get and I never in my wildest dreams considered buying one to keep since "no one was going to see it anyway." But the fact that the unique design reflected who I am and what I cherish in my life made it all worthwhile. For that I truly thank you.

And just so you know, it was the only thing I kept from all of the wedding memorabilia (the cards, photos, certificate, etc.) when I moved to my new place. Even though the whole relationship is a chapter in my life I would very much like to put behind me, I could not get rid of the garter. For although I do not have fond memories of my "marriage," I do have several fond memories of my wedding day and the delicate beauty of the garter personified my hopes and dreams that I had with me on that day.
