Do you think your ad placement is good and aggressive? The more aggressive is your ad placement the more money you will make from your website. This article is only for ad placement and testing. I am not bothered about your present traffic and SEO and where exactly traffic is coming from.

You can make money from

• CPC (Cost per click): This includes adsense, yahoo, msn, chitika, adbrite etc
• CPM (Cost per thousand impressions): Tribal fusion, Burst media, komli etc.
• CPA (Cost per Action): Many CPM companies also give CPA type advertisements.

CPC Based Advertisements

First you need to test how effective is your ad placement in your theme. Normally blogger and webmaster put their ads

• Under post title.
• After post title.
• Right side bar large rectangle and few links.

Unusual places to monetize

• Top banner in logo.
• Bottom of page.
• In the Footer.
• Right side bar.

In Text Advertisements

1. Colors can affect your earning in CPC based advertisements.
2. You should test fonts in adsense according to your blog.
3. Block MFA site advertisements in Google Adsense.
4. Use channels to check individual performance of your ad units.
5. Integrate analytic with adsense and should add goals.
6. Know which pages is ranking higher. And Should do SEO accordingly.
7. Select CPM based advertisements carefully. Which will promise you to give decent cpm of $0.5.
8. CPM advertisements should be use only when your blog get daily 1,000 page views.
9. Lesser ads may result higher ecpm in adsense. But lesser CTR.
10. If you are not making significant money from CPA. Remove them because no use of putting useless banner. This will distract readers from reading content.

I have recently shifted my blog from Dreamhost to Hostgator. While I was on Dreamhost, I faced too many problems in my database. WP-Optimize is one of the plugins that helped me to optimize and cleanup my database.

You might have noticed that TricksDaddy was dead for the last few days. This was because Dreamhost disabled our shared hosting account due to high CPU usage. But everything is fine now as TricksDaddy is now hosted on HostGator.

I have to make this shift as Dreamhost was not able to give any solution for the down time and TricksDaddy was down most of the time. After reading reviews and getting tips from some experienced persons, I have moved my blog to Hostgator. The shift was possible due to Gagan, thanks for his precious time and giving me discount coupon . Thanks to Harsh for guiding me in chosing proper webhost. It has been almost 48 hours now since I have shifted to HostGator and everything seems to be working fine till now.

Last week was very bad time for me and my blog and I learned few things from this bad time. I will share my experience in new articles.  I will also share the good things about HostGator that I didnt find in DreamHost.
