2021, para mí, ha sido mayormente el proceso creativo de TRATADO BOTÁNICO DE ILUSTRACIÓN COREOGRÁFICA. Y quiero celebrar la labor de ese largo y lento año compartiendo con vosotras el trailer de TRATADO BOTÁNICO DE ILUSTRACIÓN COREOGRÁFICA creado por La Buena Estrella Audiovisuales, Agustín Hurtado y Maria Artiaga y algunas fotos que tan deliciosamente ha hecho Alejandra Amere.

Con TRATADO BOTÁNICO DE ILUSTRACIÓN COREOGRÁFICA persiste la curiosidad que siempre me ha producido el hacer converger dibujo, creación textil y movimiento en mis creaciones artísticas. En esta ocasión, hemos puesto el foco en la observación de las dinámicas de las plantas y hemos tomado inspiración del legado médico, artístico y botánico de códices y libros iluminados de la Edad Media a nuestros días para crear nuestro propio tratado. Así mismo nos han acompañado, entre otros, escritos e ilustraciones de los botánicos franceses Francis Hallé y Gilles Clément o de J.W. Goethe y Rudolf Steiner.

A los mandos técnico Manu Meñaca y a la producción Toni Hurtado Gómez y Thibault Pradet. Asistente de vestuario Angela Calaveira Gomar.

2021, for me, has been mostly the research and creative process of TRATADO BOTÁNICO DE ILUSTRACIÓN COREOGRÁFICA. And I want to celebrate the labour of that long and slow year by sharing with you the trailer of TRATADO BOTÁNICO DE ILUSTRACIÓN COREOGRÁFICA, created by La Buena Estrella Audiovisuales, Agustín Hurtado and Maria Artiaga and some pics that Alejandra Amere has taken so deliciously.

With TRATADO BOTÁNICO DE ILUSTRACIÓN COREOGRÁFICA the curiosity that has always caused me to make drawing, textile creation and movement converge in my artistic creations persists. On this occasion, we have focused on observing the dynamics of plants and we have taken inspiration from the medical, artistic and botanical legacy of codices and illuminated books from the Middle Ages to our days. Likewise, we have been accompanied among others, by writings and illustrations by the French botanists Francis Hallé and Gilles Clément or by J.W. Goethe and Rudolf Steiner.

Esta práctica fue manifestándose poco a poco en complicidad de los 6 colaboradores artísticos con los que he creado Tratado Botánico de Ilustración Coreográfica. Fuimos entendiendo que Orienta era un lugar de convergencia de poesía, danza, video arte, paseos en la naturaleza y una especie de mística topográfica.

Podéis ver la evolución de la práctica siguiendo los 6 videos que edité durante el verano de 2021. En orden, fueron creados con: Rocío Guzmán en Jaén, Oihana Altube en Madrid, Susana Hernández AKA Ylia en Málaga, Jaime Conde-Salazar en Sevilla, Lise Vermot en Bruselas y Fabien Almakiewicz en Paris.

]]> HIVE CO-CREATIVE RESIDENCY comisariado por Shannon Cooney http://www.tea-tron.com/robertomartinez/blog/2022/03/10/orienta-2/ Thu, 10 Mar 2022 23:51:32 +0000 http://www.tea-tron.com/robertomartinez/blog/?p=202 Entre Enero y Febrero de 2020, justo cuando el virus empezó a aparecer por el mundo, estaba pasando 4 semanas en una granja de vacas con 5 familias de 5 hermanas indias, e inmerso expandiendo y compartiendo prácticas artístico-terapéuticas con un grupo de artistas de diversos países en Farm Studios en pleno desierto de Rajasthan, en India.

El proyecto toma como partner el funcionamiento biodinámico de las colmenas y las abejas. Mejor os dejo las palabras de Shannon Cooney, que lo explica muy bien:

HIVE co-creative Professional Development Workshop in Residence curated by Shannon Cooney

The (first) HIVE residency, January 6 – February 7, 2020 took place at the International Artist Residency at FARM Studio in Andore, Rajasthan, India. Curated by Shannon Cooney, with invited members:Jared Gradinger, Claudia Hill, Samuel Draper, Roberto Martinez, Marina Hulzenga, Clara Birnbaum Pantzerhielm, Shelley Etkin, Monique Romeiko, Navtej Johar, and Simrat Dugal.

Borrowing from Nature a Bee Hive model, wherein an organism with others of likeness live together in a chosen place to thrive. Within the hive there is specialization as each individual has a distinct task/specified role. Respecting that all tasks are valued equally: meaning the hive would not exist without these roles being carried out, they act as a whole or a system or a superorganism.

Within this Hive model we spent collectively 5 weeks together with the invitation for Open Source Exchange: to intersect exchanges and interchange our research, resources and practices. The invitees’ work, or practice engages in some or all of the following; expanded consciousness, dance, performance, visual art, bodywork and/or hand’s-on modalities, sense-driven (somatic) practices, and co-operative work with Nature The concept of the Hive is to give the opportunity of Time to expand one’s resources, share in discoveries and generate vibrancy in one’s own work/research/practices and those of each other. The invitees were selected based on their engagement in parallel practices with the understanding that they are often in a production-based milieu where one might normally find they are lacking in Time for true conversations, and artistic inquisitive exchange. The Hive offers an environment of true exchange through a non-time-pressured and a non-production driven atmosphere.

2 semanas de trabajo donde Claudia Hill, Julian Weber, Vladimir Miller y yo ocupamos una inmensa sala del museo Mumok, junto a los estudiantes DanceWeb y varios artistas que se unieron puntualmente a nuestro proceso, como Claudia Bosse, Lenio Kaklea, Madgalena Chowaniec, Anne Juren, Otto Krause & Milan Loviska.

Proyecto dirigido por Meg Stuart en colaboración del escenógrafo Jozef Wouters y el dramaturgo Jeroen Peeters y un extenso grupo de artistas de muchos campos diferentes.
