1. Exam Pattern: There are 5 sections in all with a total of 250 marks. There is negative marking of 0.25 for each question.

2. In Quantitative Section, simplification, approximation, series, simple equation and ratio, proportion covers 77% of the section.

3. For the last 2 years, there has been no question in the Reasoning Section, from classifications, analogies, cubes and dice, algebra, logical games, alphabet ranking, clocks and calendars.

4. On the other hand, syllogism/deductions non verbal series/visual reasoning, data sufficiency based on reasoning (blood relation, directions, coding/decoding etc), input/output, circular/linear arrangement etc questions are frequently asked in the exams.

5. Data Interpretation part containing pie charts, graphs, case let, covers less than 10% of paper.

6. Computer knowledge is a must for the candidate as this part covers almost 20% of the exam with a significant portion covering questions from MS-Office, Internet and Network related questions.

7. General Knowledge section for these banking exams covers topics like macro Economics and Bank Awareness.

8. In verbal area, there are more questions from Para jumbles, sentence equivalence, and sentence correction. Reading comprehension also includes vocabulary questions. This section contains 50 questions carrying 25 marks.

As per the notification released recently, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) would recruit 525 Assistants in its various offices. Any graduate from recognized university, 18 – 28 years of age, with minimum 50 % marks (pass for SC/ST/PWD candidates) can apply for this exam. Final selection will be on the basis of candidate’s performance in the online examination and interview (taken together) in order of merit.

• Must know latest exam pattern:

  Candidate must know latest exam pattern which may differ from previous years. In this year, there are no major changes from last year so the test will consist of two sections (a) Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (b) Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning. Candidates must prepare for these sections well in order to crack the exam.

  First of all, before start of preparation, candidate must set a time table which will help candidate to give proper time to his preparation. About IIT (Mains)-2013

IIT (Mains) consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. The duration of each paper is of three hours.

The academically eligible candidates register themselves online or offline to take this test. Based on the performance of the group, the merit list is prepared and declared on UPES website. Shortlisted candidates are invited to attend GDPI at various location across India.

Those who qualify GDPI rounds are finally provided with an admission offer letter with a specific timeline to submit the first semester fee to confirm the admission.
