			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>IIT(Mains) 2013 is the first common exam for all high school students for admissions to professional courses like engineering, medicine and others in the IITs and other centrally funded institutes.</p>
<p>Around 14 lakh students are about to take the IIT (Mains) 2013 to be held from April 8 to 25, 2013 in 112 cities across the country and abroad. This makes the competition really hard. The students will be under pressure to perform, and highly anxious to know how well they fared in the exam.</p>
<p>However, they will not have to wait long for the solutions. They can get <a href="http://www.tcyonline.com/exam-analysis/iit-main-2013-solutions">IIT (Mains) solutions</a> on <a href="http://www.tcyonline.com/exam-analysis/aieee-2012-solutions" target="_blank"><strong>www.TCYonline.com</strong></a>. Subject experts at TCYonline will solve the questions and upload IIT-2013 solutions on the website by 4:30 p.m. on the day of the exam itself. <p><strong>About IIT (Mains)-2013</strong></p>
<p><strong>IIT</strong> (Mains) consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. The duration of each paper is of three hours.</p>
<p><strong>Paper 1</strong> will have Objective type questions on subjects of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.</p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Paper 2</strong> of IIT Main 2013 will have Objective type questions for the Aptitude Test and Mathematics Section and Drawing Aptitude Questions for Drawing Test section.</p>

<p>    Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan&#8217;s S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), has<br />

<b>General Management</b><br />
This year Tata Administrative Services, Mahindra &#038; Mahindra, Reliance Industries Limited,<br />
Ranbaxyand Raymondsmade about 16 offers in several middle management positions. The<br />
roles pertain to application of business understanding in all relevant domains and also<br />
entail close co-ordination with CXOs. The hires are groomed to be future leaders in their respective business subsidiaries.</p>
<p><b>Consulting/ IT Consulting</b><br />
SPJIMR witnessed a splurge in the offers coming from consulting companies. 22% of the<br />
batch was placed in top consulting firms which included Accenture Management<br />
Consulting, Bristlecone, Capgemini, Cognizant Business Consulting, Deloitte, Ernst &#038;<br />
Young, KPMG, Miebach Consulting, PwC , PRTM Consulting, TSMG among others.<br />
The profiles offered by the consulting bandwagon at SPJIMR included strategic consulting,<br />
operations consulting, financial advisory and IT consulting.</p>
<p><b>Finance</b><br />
Downmarket trends did not affect the finance batch on campus. The talented batch<br />
picked up offers from top league financial players that included JP Morgan, Franklin<br />
Templeton, Citibank, Deutsche Bank, ICRA, Axis Bank, Yes Bank, SBI Caps, Nomura, GE,<br />
Edelweiss and TATA Capital.<br />
Offers were received across a plethora of functions ranging from Investment Banking ,<br />
Corporate Banking, Institutional Equities , Equity Research , Credit Rating, Credit Risk,<br />
Treasury , Project Finance and Corporate Finance. The campus also saw participation from<br />
Multinational firms like AC Nielsen making exclusive offers for their Emerging Leaders<br />
Program.16% of the batch got offers in the Financial Services and Banking sector</p>
<p><b>IT/ITes</b><br />
IT companies like Microsoft, Google, Dell and HCL Technologies offered Sales roles on<br />
campus. Corporate IT roles were offered from business giants like General Electric,<br />
Unilever, Duetsche Bank and Citibank. Global IT majors like Amazon, Directi, Makemytrip<br />
and Interglobe offered a plethora of roles.</p>
<p><b>Marketing and Operations</b><br />
SPJIMR maintained its niche in FMCG hiring. This year witness the top FMCG companies<br />
lining up on campus to make offers to the Marketing and Operations batch. 27% students<br />
were doled out offers by the FMCG sector Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain roles were made by FMCG majors that included<br />
Hindustan Unilever Ltd., P&#038;G, Kraft,PepsiCo, GSK, Johnson and Johnson Consumer, Asian<br />

<p><strong>Q. Does UPES accept any other exam score like CAT/XAT/CMAT etc.</strong><br />
UPES offers 50%  seats through National Level Test like  CAT/MAT/CMAT scores and remaining 50% through UPES Management Entrance Test (UPESMET). </p>
<p>Those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria (Minimum 50% marks in Class 10th and Class 12th, as well as in graduation) and have a September or December 2012 MAT score of minimum 75 percentile or a valid Sept CMAT 2012 score minimum 213 or CAT 2012 Score with minimum 70 Percentile, are invited directly for the GDPI.</p>
<p><strong>Q.  What is the purpose of holding a separate entrance test?</strong><br />
UPES Management Entrance Test is organized to facilitate those aspirants whose CAT / MAT / CMAT scores are not meeting the required criteria, but are still keen to join UPES. If an aspirant has minimum 50% marks in Class 10th and Class 12th, as well as in graduation, then by taking the UPES Management Entrance Test (UPES MET) he still can pursue for admission to UPES MBA programs.<br />

Q. When and how will UPES MET be held? How many candidates are you expecting? What is the last date to apply?</strong><br />
UPES Management Entrance Test (UPES MET) is scheduled on 23rd February 2013  across 20 locations in India including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar Chennai, Chandigarh, Cochin, Delhi, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Ranchi Shillong, Varanasi, Vishakhapatnam</p>
<p>Please note that the last date to apply for UPES MET is 2nd February, 2013.  We are expecting at least 1500 students to take UPESMET this year.</p>
<p><strong>Q. How is the UPES MET paper organized?</strong><br />
The scheme of test for UPESMET comprises of 4 sections of 40 questions each. </p>
<p>Section 1 covers General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability;<br />
Section 2 covers Quantitative questions including Data Interpretation &#038; Data Sufficiency;<br />
Section 3 is on General Awareness that includes General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Business Scenario and<br />
Section 4  covers Analytical &#038; Logical Reasoning.</p>
<p><strong>Q. How should students prepare for UPESMET? What are you looking in your prospective student?</strong><br />
UPES is basically not only looking for overall academic caliber but at the same time looking for  better analytical skills to gauge the potential of the candidate in the management discipline.</p>
<p><strong>Q. What is the cut-off for UPES MET?</strong><br />
There is no preset/predefined cut off for this test. It varies year to year depending on the performance of the students taken the test in the current year.</p>
<p><strong>Q. Briefly describe your selection process? When will you announce the results?</strong></p>
<p>The academically eligible candidates register themselves online or offline to take this test. Based on the performance of the group,  the merit list is prepared and declared on UPES website. Shortlisted candidates are invited to attend  GDPI at various location across India.</p>
<p>Those who qualify GDPI rounds are finally provided with an admission offer letter with a specific timeline to submit the first semester fee to confirm the admission. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2013 will be conducted on 6th January, 2013 by Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI), an association of like minded institutes. There are 16 core member institutes and more than 85 associate institutes located in different parts of the country. The test would be co-ordinated by XLRI Jamshedpur. On the basis of XAT result, eligible candidates will be short listed for next round.</p>
<p>XAT 2013 Pattern:-</p>
<p>The format of XAT -2013 will be pencil-paper based.</p>
<p>Duration:- 3 hours</p>
<p>The exam will have two parts. The first part will have objective questions on three sections; Data Interpretation &#038; Quantitative Ability, Analytical Reasoning &#038; Decision Making and Verbal &#038; Logical Ability. The time allotted for this is 2:20 hours.</p>
<p>The second part will have Essay Writing and General Awareness and time allotted for this is 40 minutes. The General Awareness section will have 20 to 30 questions.</p>
<p>XAT is considered one of the toughest tests and at the same time the competition is also very hard. After the test, students are curious to know how well they did in exam, what is the answer key to the exam and what could be their expected score. </p>

US and UK schools such as Harvard (including HBS), Stanford, Princeton, Columbia, UC Berkeley Yale, Amherst and London School of Economics are part of the initiative.</p>
<p>The mission of HUII is two-fold: to foster initial interactions and long-term cooperation between youth from the United States and India and to leverage these relationships to address some of India&#8217;s most pressing social and economic issues.Students collaborate through &#8220;social entrepreneurship&#8221; to develop solutions to social and economic problems. The solutions they propose have the potential to win funding and be scaled up for implementation.</td>

<p>The theme for this year&#8217;s project has been chosen as health and nutrition. The SPJIMR Chapter would like to take an initiative to create an impact on the dilapidating nourishment levels in India. They plan to work with some of the identified NGOs like Centre for Rural Health and Social Education, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh Voluntary Health Association, Central Himalayan Rural Action Group (CHIRAG), Uttarakhand and Social Action for Women Empowerment and Rural Advancement, SAWERA, Punjab, on issues like Community based Management of malnutrition, model village creation for better maternal health and hygiene, monitoring of maternal and child health and reproductive child health. As the scope of the study is spread across the nation, they intend to bring out a comparative analysis of different regions in terms of problems faced and best practices involved and suggest region specific solutions. </p>
