At our 2011 New York event, United Visual Artists and Scanner's massive LED sculpture Origin attracted spectators like insects to bright light. Set in the foreground of the Brooklyn Bridge, the artwork was continuously engaged with its environment through the buzzing dialogue between the visual light and sound. N.A.M.E Festival 2011 Overview

This fall The Creators Project partnered with one of the largest electro festivals in France. We heard musical acts including Ellen Allien & Pfadfinderei, Seth Troxler, Rone and Logo whose sets were enhanced with visuals provided by French Creator Superscript²'s Modular Ship installation, which premiered at our Nuits sonores event. Learn how the festival (now in its seventh year) came to be, watch Superscript² control their installations' visuals from their phones and find out why Ellen Allien, the fest's unofficial "godmother," must come back every year.

Minha Yang's Meditation At New York Event 2011

Discovered at our Seoul event earlier this year, Minha Yang's Meditation became one of the centerpieces of our Creators Project event in DUMBO. Yang describes the interactive installation as "a kind of religious tool," creating a serene oasis of sound and responsive visuals that react to viewers' body movements. The goal is to create an immersive space for reflection and introspection, a respite from the many distractions of urban life, but it's also just fun to play with, as was evidenced by the constant crowds it drew at our events.
