A group of 13 people from our GO! Team are heading to Agua Zarca, Guatemala from June 7-13.

The Connection Church has adopted the village of Agua Zarca and provides a daily meal for all the children there. During this mission trip, we will be spreading the gospel to the people who live in Agua Zarca and also building a kitchen onto the school so that all these meals can be prepared efficiently and safely. We will also be conducting a one day Sports Camp for all the kids and meeting more practical needs in their lives.

 Please be praying for:

• the necessary funds and resources both to go on the trip and to provide the needed construction materials
• the safety and health of each team member
• the effectiveness of our team as we share the Gospel
• the responsiveness of those we will be ministering to

This is just one example of how God is working through people at The Connection Church.

• A camp that is intentional about reaching your friends. They will clearly hear the Gospel and lost teenagers will be given an opportunity to trust in Christ as their Savior and Lord.
• A camp that challenges students to live as salt and light in their communities and to live on mission in the world.
• A camp that offers breakouts to help students develop and grow in their relationship with Christ.
• A camp that uses small group experiences to promote discussion, prayer, fellowship and encouragement.

You’re invited to join us to overhear what Jesus might say to each of these people and what He has to say to us in the process.

When:

We practice Parent & Child Dedication instead of infant baptism.

Parent & Child Dedication is a ceremony where believing parents make a commitment along with with the entire church family before the Lord to raise their children according to God’s Word and God’s ways.

Christian parents who dedicate a child are making a promise to the Lord to do everything within their power to raise the child in a godly way, prayerfully until he or she can make a decision on his or her own to follow God. Parents who make this vow of commitment are instructed to raise the child in the ways of God, and not according to their own ways. Some of the responsibilities include teaching and training the child in God’s Word, demonstrating an example of godliness, disciplining according to God’s ways, and praying earnestly for the child.

An Example of Parent & Child Dedication in the Bible

And she (Hannah) made a vow, saying, “O LORD Almighty, if you will only look upon your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the LORD for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.” 1 Samuel 1:11 (NIV)

When God answered Hannah’s prayer by giving her a son, she remembered her vow:

“As surely as you live, my lord, I am the woman who stood here beside you praying to the LORD. I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD.” And he worshiped the LORD there. 1 Samuel 1:26-28 (NIV)

An intimate gathering of worship, praise and celebrating Communion together as we reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Be with us to prepare yourself for all that God wants us to do through us on Easter weekend.

Terms

• Your registration form must be completed and received by The Connection Church prior to the beginning of the 90-Day Tithe Challenge period.
• Any request for refund must be received in the Connection Church office within 30 days of the end of the 90-Day Tithe Challenge period.
• If given at the physical Connection Church campus, my tithe must be given in a properly completed giving envelope each time I give, so that my tithe can be properly credited.
• I cannot seek a refund prior to the end of the 90-Day Tithe Challenge period, and I cannot seek a refund for any contributions made prior to the beginning of the 90-Day Tithe Challenge period.

“I want to take God at His Word to trust His faithfulness by accepting the 90-Day Tithe Challenge. I agree that for the 90-Day period, my household will contribute to God, through The Connection Church, a tithe equal to 10% of our income.

At the end of the 90-Day period, if I am not convinced of God’s faithfulness to bless my life as a result of my obedience to His Word, then I will be entitled to request a refund for the full amount of contributions made during that 90-day period.”
