Ufone vs Mobilink TV Commercial 1 Minute Package

Ufone on-aired a TV Commercial of their new package “Minute Per Minute Free Offer” in which the characters are standing on a railway station, and villain is trying to kill the heroine. Everyone found out that commercial to be hilarious and laughed on it a lot. But just after few days, Mobilink strikes back with their new package on Jazz Octane “Jazz Bemisaal Ramdan Offer – 1 Minute Per 1 Ghanta”. Mobilink taunted the TV commercial of Ufone with the similar setup in which two guys are sitting on a railway station and laughs on the people who are busy watching the Ufone commerical of Minute Per Minute and tells them the Mobilink Offer. Watch both these commercial and decide yourself, which one is funnier?

Highest Road in The World – Karakoram Highway

Karakoram Highway which connects Pakistan with China is known as the highest international paved road in world and is also reffered to as the “Ninth Wonder of the World”. Karakoram Highway is closed since January 2010 because of the massive landslidings of 15km in Hunza. Karakoram Highway took over 25 years (1959 to 1986) in construction and around 810 Pakistani and 82 Chinese constructors died during the construction. Karakoram Highway also known as Silk Road connects Gilgit-Baltistan of Pakistan area with Xinjiang, China.

According to the artile of Wikipedia:

The Pakistani section of the highway is 806 km long. It starts from Abbottabad (though N-35 of which KKH is now a part, officially starts from Hassanabdal). The highway meets the Indus River at Thakot, and continues along the river until Bunji, where the Gilgit River joins the Indus River. This is the place where three great mountain ranges meet, the Hindukush, the Himalaya and the Karakoram. The western end of the Himalayas, marked by the 9th highest peak in the world, Nanga Parbat can be seen from the highway. The highway passes through the capital of the Gilgit-Baltistan, Gilgit, and continues to the beautiful valleys of Nagar and Hunza, along the Hunza River. Many of the highest mountains, lakes and glaciers in the Karakoram can be directly seen from the highway in this section. Finally, the highway meets the Pakistan-China border at Khunjerab Pass.

The Chinese Section of the Karakoram Highway follows the north-south Sarykol (‘Yellow Lake’) valley just west of the Tarim Basin, which is barely visible in the satellite image at left. The road from Kashgar goes southwest about 80 km and then turns west to enter the Gez (Ghez) River canyon between Chakragil mountain on the north and Kongur mountain on the south. From the Gez canyon the population becomes Kirgiz. Having climbed up to the valley, the road turns south past Kongur, Karakul Lake and Muztagh Ata on the east. Below Muztagh Ata a new road goes west over the Kulma Pass to join the Pamir Highway in Gorno-Badakhshan, Tajikistan. The main road continues over a low pass (where the population becomes Tajik) and descends to Tashkurgan. Further south a valley and jeep track leads west towards the Wakhjir Pass to the Wakhan Corridor. Next the road turns west to a checkpost and small settlement at Pirali, and then the Khunjerab Pass, beyond which is Pakistan, the Khunjerab River and Hunza. (In 747 Gao Xianzhi, a Tang general crossed the Broghol Pass into what is now Pakistan – the furthest Chinese penetration in this direction. He was later defeated at the Battle of Talas, and the Chinese withdrew from the region.)

Facebook not re-activting my profile and fanpage

I mailed facebook on disabled@facebook.com to re-activate my account, because I was not given any warning or any notification and suddenly my account was disabled. Today I received an email back from facebook (and amazingly it was in junk mailbox of my gmail). Following is the email from them:

Hi Talal,

One of Facebook’s main priorities is the comfort and safety of our users. Your account was disabled because you engaged in behavior other users reported as harassing in nature. It is a violation of Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities to harass users on the site, whether through unsolicited messages, friend requests or other features. We will not be able to reactivate your account for any reason. This decision is final.

Facebook Disabled My Profile and Fan Page

Facebook yesterday night disabled my profile and my fan page both without any notification. I got no idea, why would they delete it. I had over 900 friends on my profile and over 6900 fans on my fan page. I am feeling like I just had a greatest loss. I have created a temporary new account, but still hoping for them to return my original account back. I had so many photo albums in it, so many videos and alot of other stuff. To my surprise, I had also created other fan pages of different people, all of them are still working. So I guess, facebook just had a problem with me. If I ever uploaded any video that has copyright issues, facebook used to delete it right away with a notification, so I suppose its not about the copyright thing. So here is the link to my new profile (I hope I use it temporarily and get back to my original one soon).

Pakistan is my soul, Pakistan is my life, Pakistan is my world. I am a Pakistani and I am proud to be one. Where ever I’ll go in this world, I will be recognized with my identity and my identity is the name of the nation to which I belong too. In August 2009, Farhan Masood and I started an online campaign called “Go Green Pakistan” which took a strange turn in the online community of Pakistan. The patriotism that we were losing in our busy life, started to return back. Oh, by the way Farhan Masood is not my blood related brother. Our last names matched by coincidence

Beside Go Green I joined a group called “Pakistan Youth Revolution” (PYR) started by Muhammad Jahanzaib Khan, a youth community which started gathering people online who wants to do something for Pakistan. First of all, I would like to clearly mention that PYR is not a political organization nor it’s some kind of NGO. PYR is only a group of people who wants to put the positive impact of Pakistan on the map of this world. Daily we hear some strange news about Pakistan which creates a negative image of Pakistan, but no one is looking at the positive things happening in the country. I would only say, Pakistan is the land of opportunities. Yes, but only if you love your motherland and stop expecting things back from her. Isn’t it more than enough that Pakistan gave us space to live an independent and free life?

Many people contradicted and criticized us, and I became the target of many strange words from people I thought who are Pakistani. The first thing we heard was “You did all this to become famous” and then about Go Green Campaign some people said “GGP is collecting photos of people to misuse them“. I have nothing to say in return to them, because my Allah knows the purity of my heart better than people. About fame, I or anyone else who is the part of PYR or GGP are not looking for fame. If we appear on any TV Channel, it is only to deliver our message to those people who are just hearing bad news about Pakistan all day long. We want to deliver our message to Pakistan and the whole world. If you have any other better idea then tell us. Now I’m sure, everyone will get quite because there is no other medium to reach the 13 crore people of Pakistan and tell them that there are many young people in Pakistan who wants to work for their land and has a message of LOVE & PEACE.

One last thing that I would like to request to all the Pakistani people is to stop sharing bad news and videos of our country in online social network communities like facebook, orkut, myspace, etc. and also stop criticizing the happenings in Pakistan. Online community made this world a global village, but by writing such negative blogs about Pakistan puts a 10 times more negative image on the world as compared to a simple TV News. In my next article, I’ll write about “How online blogging community is powerful than electronic media” which will help you understand what I said in a better way.

One of my best friends Muhammad Shoaib Khan Niazi’s father passed away on 19th November 2009. I have no words to say right now. Only the ones who lose someone can feel the pain. All I can say right now is, may Allah bless him and his family, give them courage, and may his soul rest in heaven. This life is just too short, and totally unpredictable. I hope we do good in our life so that we are remembered forever in the hearts of people.

iShowClips.com my new video sharing website

After waiting for two months I finally launched my new video sharing website called iShowClips.com. iShowClips is basically a video extraction website where users can upload as well as embed other videos from different video sharing websites like youtube, dailymotion, facebook videos, google videos, veoh, megavideos, and so on. From entirely any website that allows video embedding code, users can get the code and post the video on to iShowClips. I usually share alot of funny videos over the Internet so now I have this place where I can share the videos with rest of the world. Many banned commercials are uploaded on this website too.

My 30Minutes of Bad Day Today

Today is kinda bad day for me. Is it? Just see how all these things happened to me in last 30 minutes.

No one is at home.
Opened the fridge and nothing in there. I’m damn hungry.
Checked my wallet, luckily found Rs.100 cash in it so was thinking what to order on phone in just Rs.100.
Received a phone call from my aunt. Now I had to go to pick my little cousins from school and drop them at their grandma’s home. The precious Rs.100 will now be gone!
Oh yea! and forgot to tell you, don’t even have a bike or car. So went on a Rickshaw to pick the children. On the way the Rickshaw wala was in such a hurry that he didn’t see the speed breaker and my head banged on the rod.
Took the children dropped them at their grandma’s home, and asked the Rickshaw wala to drop me at the ATM Machine. Gave Rickshaw wala the only Rs.100 note and thought he will charge me like Rs.50 but that idiot didn’t had any change and the whole market was closed. So that trip (just like 3km total) costed me Rs.70.
Went into the ATM to get some cash out so that I can order something to eat. The card went in, the message appeared “Please wait while we process your transaction” and the screen stuck! Nothing is working. The card is still in, and holy shit .. it gave the message “ATM is out of service, Sorry for the Inconvenience!”
I went into the bank, asked the guy at a desk to get my card out. He asked me to wait. After 15 minutes – Yes Yes Yes! he got up from his seat and took out my card. I got it back in my hand.
I went back into the ATM, entered my card – Wow, it accepted it. I entered my Pin code, entered the amount to withdraw and a message appeared “Sorry this ATM is out of cash”. F**K!
Now what to do! Oh there is another ATM near by, let go there!
Outside the ATM room on the door it was written “ATM ki service arzi toor par band hai, hum mazraatkhuan hain” (ATM Service is temporarily out of service, we are sorry for the inconvenience)
Hungry, and with my face down .. I just walked back to home .. and now here I am writting my damn story of last 30 minutes.

Pakistan’s Real Heroes – The Rescue Teams

Today on Chand Raat (21st September 2009) at around 1:45am in the night, I saw an accident on Wahdat Road, Near Multan Road Chungi - Lahore. A Suzuki Mehran was turned upside down. The two guys in the car received minor injuries and were walking again within few minutes. I don’t know what and how the accident happened. The time I reached there, the Rescue 1122 ambulance came there.

The people around that place who saw the accident called the emergency rescue 1122 and also rushed towards the car, turned it up and pulled out both the teenager from the car. I had my camera mobile with me and took the pictures of the real heroes of Pakistan. Yes! The people of Pakistan, and the Rescue teams are the real heroes of day to day life in Pakistan. Tomorrow is Eid in our country, the families are out there in the markets for shopping. Family members want their dads and brothers to go with them to shops, but these rescue team men are still on their duties. No matter its Eid, any off-day, Saturday or Sunday; these teams are 24/7 at their work. Leaving their families alone at home, these people work for others. Hats off to these real super heroes of Pakistan who work on daily basis to help the victims and people of our country.

I bought ProLink Glee TA-009 10.1″ Netbook

From quite a long time I wanted to buy a Laptop, but then I thought, do I really need one? And after thinking a lot I decided not to buy a laptop because it was of no use for me. I upgraded my PC, bought a new good size LCD Monitor and started enjoying the life. Then the new trend of Netbooks started few months back, and everyone was buying one. My Birthday and Facebook Social Media Network

8th September, the day I opened my eyes in this world, yea that’s my birthday. Yesterday I had the most wonderful experience in my life ever on my birthday with social media network websites. Usually I was wished over phone calls and SMS on my birthday every year, but this time things changed. I was wished by over 500 people on facebook, twitter and orkut beside the calls and sms. I never expected that much love and care from my friends ever, but yesterday I got to know that I mean something in the life of all my friends out there.

I guess, Yes! I am lucky to have you all friends there in my life. I am writing this post to thank all my friends and even to the people, who I don’t even know that much and they still wished me just because they are in my friend’s list on facebook. I seriously don’t have words to express my gratitude and say thanks to all of you. What I’ll just need from you people is that you all remember me in your prayers not just on my birthday but in your everyday life. Prayers can bring changes in life! and I am very much sure, that if all my friends are there to back me up then Allah will have to surely listen to all your prayers for me … (lol, I’m being selfish )

Pakistan Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan History

A talk show called “Kal Tak” on Express News hosted by Javaid Chaudhary is one of the most unique and beautiful show. The best part of the show is that Javaid starts and ends the show with a very informative detail of something usually from the history of the world. Few months back he hosted a show and gave a sort of tribute and details on a former prime minister of Pakistan, Mr. Liaquat Ali Khan. On 16th October 1951 Liaquat Ali Khan was assassinated in Rawalpindi during his public meeting. Let me share the video with you people so that you can know why he was liked by our nation.

Pakistani Actress Meera Wedding Scandal Videos

A weeks back, Pakistan was struck with a shocking news about the Lollywood actress Meera that she was married to some guy named Attiq ur Rehman secretly. The news came in when Attiq ur Rehman came home from an international tour and tried to enter his own home, when the new security guards appointed by Meera didn’t let in. Then police was called on about all the issue and the things went from bad to worst. The following video clip by City42 channel exposed everything including the Photos taken on Meera’s wedding Attiq. I wonder that even after the photos are being shown to the whole Pakistan, how come Meera called an emergency press conference and denied all that?

God knows the real story, but Meera is missing from her home and no one knows where she is hiding. She has gone underground somewhere, hiding from the world. Attiq cleverly recorded a phone conversation with Meera and then even exposed the email conversation with Meera over their blackberry mobile phones. According to the some news sources Meera left Pakistan without even telling her parents and went straight to Indian director Mahesh Bhatt knocking at his home in the night around 1:30am. Mahesh Bhutt even didn’t let Meera inside and asked her to leave.

Go Green Pakistan campaign hits media – Geo News

Farhan Masood (http://facebook.com/farhan.masood) started the Go Green Pakistan campaign at the start of August 2009. He started created custom display pictures for his friends and designed a green background image with the Pakistani flag on the display picture. He started manually editing the photos using Adobe Photoshop. Then Talal Masood (http://facebook.com/taalz) was the second person to join hands with Farhan and started this campaign on a bigger scale. Within just 5 days we made over 500 DPs. And within these 2 weeks time we created 9000+ Display pictures for the people all over Pakistan and even Non-Pakistani people for their facebook and twitter profiles. Within a little time, more volunteers started to flow in and it became a very huge campaign. The volunteers were not just from Pakistan, they were from all over the world.

There were some graphic designers which actually edited the pictures which people were sending in. On the other hand there were some promotors who were promoting this campaign. So it just came up with something strange that even those people who does not have any idea about editing they somehow stepped in and wanted to be the part of this moment.

Purpose of Go Green Pakistan: was to establish the unity, love and faith back in the younger generation of Pakistan. No one on the media and around the world is showing the positive points of our country, so by this campaign those people who somehow stopped loving Pakistan are back on the track. We gave them a new hope in this era of technology through technology and gave them an opportunity to show their love for Pakistan in a nice and unique way.

People send us their pictures from a basic form which Alam (alzeee) created on http://pakiology.com/go-green. Users simply fill out the form there with their photo. We receive their photos at our end and someone from our whole team, whoever is online at that time edits the picture and send them back.

Within just 5 days we made over 500 DPs and just after 2 weeks time (till 14th August, 2009) we created over 9000 display pictures, for the people all over Pakistan and even Non-Pakistanis for their facebook and twitter profiles. More volunteers started to flow in by that time and the very little thing became a huge thing and even the media couldn’t resist us.

On 13th August, 2009 – GEO News broadcasted the Interview of Farhan Masood (@farhanmasood) and Talal Masood (@tAALz), thanks to Maria Memon for making the report on us. (by the way don’t get confused, its just a coincidence that Farhan’s and Mine’s last name are same. Oh but we are Pakistanis so we are brothers.) Within these last 2 weeks, the whole Go Green Pakistan team made Facebook and Twitter entierly Green. Everywhere there was Pakistan’s flag and those who never cared were even forced by their inner being to become patriot and put the Go Green Pakistan display picture of themselves. The volunteers team is of two types, one who actually edited the pictures and the others are who promoted the Go Green Pakistan campaign in different ways.

Purpose of Go Green Pakistan was to establish the unity, love and faith back in the younger generation of Pakistan. No one on the media and around the world is showing the positive points of our country, so by this campaign those people who somehow stopped loving Pakistan are back on the track. We gave them a new hope in this era of technology, through technology and gave them an opportunity to show their love for Pakistan in a nice and unique way. On average 10% of Pakistan’s total population is now Online and using Internet, so this was our one step to make all those people love Pakistan who somehow just got stuck infront of the computer screens and are too lazy to do something to show their love for Pakistan.

People send us their pictures via a website called Pakiology donated to us by Alam (@alzeee). Users simply fill out the form with their photo and we receive them at our end. Then someone from our whole team, whoever is online at that time edits the picture and send them back to them through email.

This is the exclusive photo by Entertainment Tonight of Michael Jackson taken away by 911 on the stretcher. The paramedics of UCLA Medical Center said that he was not breathing when they were transporting him to the hospital. Back on 22nd December 2008, there were rumors going on that Michael Jackson is suffering from major lungs problem. Later on the next day Jackson’s spokesman said that it was all lie and was a rumor and Michael Jackson is perfectly fine. So, here is the final RIP photo of Michael Jackson:
