Just the bunker hills can be seen and absolutely nothing else is left. It is one heck of a climb straight up the mountain though and I wouldn't recommend going at night because the road is really treacherous in the dark.

Story goes that she was mistreated by the forman of a plantation she worked on After the Civil war and she never liked White men since. Many golfers believe that if you say a kind word or two during your game it will go well, but if you get annoyed and cuss during the came your ball will go missing or even disappear altogether!

One gentleman stated that on the 17th hole he saw her looking at him from the treeline. She quickly disappeared before his very eyes as he stood there watching.

This is a location which must be visited only during the day hours and is heavily guarded by security at night! Do not attempt to investigate after dark here. To do so would be subject to arrest.

Not sure of the name of the cemetary.A friend of ours had an old book about places that were haunted.This cemetary is in it.It's not all that far from where we live so late one afternoon my two kids and I went.You have to walk about a mile through the woods.We had been there about 15 minutes when I got a chill and the camcorder started showing low battery.While the battery still had a little charge I aimed it at my 15 year old daughter.I saw her shiver and she said something ice cold touched her neck.You can see her on video shiver and also hear her on the audio recorder she is holding.This was in July and we were in the sun and there is never a cold spot in Alabama in July.We also had an evp one time that said "she's the one with" then you can't understand the rest.

Bellefonte is a ghost town in Jackson County, near the site of the Bellefonte Nuclear Generating Station. It is located roughly two miles southeast of Hollywood, Alabama. Bellefonte was settled in the early nineteenth century and incorporated in 1821, when it had nearly 200 residents. It was the Jackson County seat from 1821 to 1859. During the following decade, a post office, courthouse, and church were constructed. By 1844, the population had grown to 400. The town suffered severe damage during the Civil War. The post office was closed in 1859, and the entire town was abandoned by the 1920s. All that remains of Bellefonte today are the cemetery, the chimney of the local inn, and piles of scattered bricks. Crystal Cavern is a small cavern located in Clay, Alabama, USA, on property once owned by Mr. Larry Shirley, but recently purchased by Alabama Power, who made entrance illegal.

This cavern was once open to the public as an attraction in the 1920s, but the operators failed to inform the owners, who lived in Texas, that they had opened a business on the property. There is still the foundation of the old gift shop at the base of the mountain.

The trail is steep and winding, but still has many of the concrete stairs put up in the `20s. Also, several of the internal stairs have been torn out and used for firewood over the years. A curious feature is the large amount of corrugated tin and old Defense Department water canisters inside the cavern. Some say you can hear rushing water or even machinery on the other side of some of the walls.
