And they’re poisonous. :P

After admiring it for many months, I’ve finally decided to grab it home even though it doesn’t come cheap.

The first time I got to know the Nike 5 T-series was last year when the Al-Ikhsan promoter introduced the Nike 5 Zoom T-5 to me. But I was too poor a kid to afford a two hundred over sneakers.

Then I discovered T-7. The highest grade of all of T-series and costs a bomb.

I instantly fell in love with it. The design, the colour, the materials – T-7 became an instant obsession of mine. Thus, I embarked on a journey of searching for T-5 and T-7.

I checked with Nike retail and other sports stores in KL but all are out of stock. When asked whether more were to come, they were puzzled themselves. In Malacca – the famous Mahkota Parade and Dataran Pahlawan, I searched, but to no avail as well.

Maybe there’s none left in Malaysia, I thought, but in Australia T-7 might be residing. I asked for a friend’s help who was coming back from Perth. She did me a favour and went searching for my dream shoes at the Nike Factory Outlet of Harbour Town, Perth.

But yet, the search ended in vain. I was about to give up and settle with Adidas Sala before forummer mentioned about T-7’s new colour model that had just been released. He even took a picture of it.

I couldn’t wait no more. Went to Sunway Pyramid the night before I flew back to my hometown just to test the T-7. Looked, touched, smelled, felt, wore, tested, tried, satisfied. I just couldn’t wait to own it, even if it costs a bomb.

Even it costs a military jet engine. Or maybe two. Oh well, like I care.

At that very moment, I couldn’t imagine not owning it.

The next afternoon, my dream came true. I put on my spanking full kangaroo leather made futsal sneakers at the court – proudly, arrogantly, delightfully. I felt as though I was the proudest man alive.

Every touch was brilliant; ball control was almost perfect – mainly because its owner isn’t =P

Most will tell you it’s crazy to kick balls using such an expensive shoes. Yeah, I think so too. I must be crazy. Totally.

These freaks got me obsessed to a point where there’s no U-turn. I think they call it a dead-end. Lol. Nike really did their job well to poison innocent kids like me.

For the money I’ve paid, I expect this pair of sneakers to last longer than a year. To maximise its durability, I shall only wear them in the futsal courts instead of wearing them everywhere, with an exception for the coming Chinese New Year.

Because I’m so broke now I can’t possibly get another pair of shoes for CNY.

If you’ve been following my posts, you should’ve heard of (or rather, read of) T-7. If you haven’t already know, no, it’s not a motorcycle.

In fact, it’s actually a pair of futsal shoes which I’ve been admiring for almost six months now. I didn’t have the budget to get it at first sight, so I bore with it and when I decided that I’ll get them, I can’t bloody find them anywhere.

I went to shops in K.L., I couldn’t find them; searched in shops in Malacca town, but to no avail; and I even asked my kawan in Perth to look for it in Nike’s Factory Outlet, but again, the attempt ended in vain. I heard someone got T-5 for a very good price in Singapore, but sad to say, I have no contacts there.

Apparently the new T-7 has just been released. No changes to the designs; only the colours were tweaked a little bit and it doesn’t look any less seductive than its previous colours.

I haz itchy-itchy heart now.. 心痒痒

Someone from Kuala Terengganu posted the above picture on Lowyat forum and claimed that he saw it at the Al-Ikhsan near my place and another fler said he saw it in Malacca, and it costs a bomb – RM 359. Anyway, you bet I’m not gonna fork out that sum of money to buy a pair of sneakers for footy. No way for now.

I’ve asked for a friend’s favour to look for T-7 too, at a discounted rate of course and hopefully he’ll be able to get it for me before I finish my exam. That’ll probably cure a lot of boredom when I’m back in T’ganu again next week.

I’m not counting it every morning I wake up but it has been nineteen days since I last played futsal – probably my longest record ever. Lol.

You know, if it happened in like 30-40 years ago, it would have been the talk of the town.

"Eh, lu zai boh? tu Ah Seng eh kia jip tua oohk lo.. Jin gao le!"

"Si meh si meh? Waa.. Anneh gao ar.. Jin ho le.. Tappai tak chek liao eh ki Sinkarpoh zho kang jin ho leh!"

Direct-translation:

"Eh you know or not? That Ah Seng’s son went university le! Really smart!"

"Really?? Wow, so smart.. Very good le.. Next time after graduated can go to work in Singapore. Really good le!"

You can find this no where else. Syok sendiri at its best. Anyway, since it was 2009 and enrolling in a university isn’t something big these days. Anyone can study in university. All you need is a few Credits and lotsa money. (the latter obviously comes first)

Throughout my days in Multimedia University, I’ve met plenty of people and made quite a number of new friends. Not to brag or to boast, but I’ve done pretty well academically for my first and second trimesters.

Holding a CGPA of 3.9, I’m currently sitting for the last examination for foundation year before I move on to first year Degree next trimester. I’m sceptical about maintaining my CGPA this trimester, but I guess I’ve done my best for now.

In the same year, I got into a relationship which is still lasting to date. Still going strong, of course, and I can’t ask for more.

Also, I became a part of Rebels futsal team before joining the Rebels Football Club earlier this trimester. Met plenty of people who plays good footy through the process and it’s sad to say I can’t be representing the team in competitions for I’ll be transferring to Cyberjaya campus after next week. Or else there might be a chance for me to shine in the sport I’m most passionate in.

Before I moved from Terengganu last year, I brought along a pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor futsal shoes that I bought from the bus station (not genuine, of course) for fifty bucks. And believe it or not, to date, I’m still wearing that very pair of futsal shoes even though they’re almost worn out already. I’ve no choice because I didn’t have the budget to get a pair of new shoes.

In September, I fell in love with the Nike Zoom T-5 futsal shoes. Later, I saw T-7 and instantly I dropped T-5 from my wishlist. However, I just couldn’t find it anywhere. Not in KL, not in Melaka, not in Terengganu, and not even in Perth, which is very, very sad. Maybe I shouldn’t have thought twice when I first saw it at Al-Ikhsan. Damn!

I was admiring the shoes so much I kept talking about it to the people around me – my mom, my close friends, my futsal kakis, yada yada.

I frequented Sunway and Subang Jaya so often that now I know the roads there. And I’ve driven from Malacca to Shah Alam for debate tourney with the guys from debate. It’s like I’m so used to travelling between Malacca and Subang Jaya/KL, it became my third home. Lol.

In May, I travelled to Kluang to visit some relatives, but didn’t stay for long because I was rushing home for holidays. I flew for the first time on an airplane in April, and in August I flew to and fro Kuala Terengganu from Subang Airport via Firefly. That made it three times on the airplane. Oh, I just love to fly.

And guess what? Next week I’m gonna fly back to Terengganu from KL and return to KL from Terengganu a few days after that by flight too. Flight tickets are getting so dirt cheap nowadays you’d really ditch the double-decker Sani Express for AirAsia’s Airbus.

Err.. Seriously, no thanks.

Anyway, I shall update on my 2010 to-do list during my short trimester break next week. Plenty of resolutions in mind now, and I can’t wait for Chinese New Year to come!

Alright now let’s keep the CNY songs rolling. =D

That’s if everything runs smoothly. Currently, I’m studying almost like mad because final exam is next week!! There’s about six days left before the exam starts and despite failing to be fully prepared for it still, I have to say I do not plan to fail as consequences of failing are worse than what I can imagine.

Studying all day and night is stressful. Other than taking nap and lurking on Facebook in between studying hours, I found one way that actually lifts up my spirit to study as well as to release a little bit of stress, if not a lot.

I listen to Chinese New Year songs as I do my revision.

Seriously! Chinese New Year songs are indeed very relaxing. Well, at least that’s what a guy, who’s desperate of holidays and who just can’t wait for Chinese New Year to come, thinks.

Anyway, I did some googling work the other night and found the CNY albums by Astro, MyFM and 988’s celebrities. There are plenty of new CNY songs I’m sure you’ll enjoy listening to. Following are the links to download:

For 《988虎甲天下過好年2010》 - Download link (44MB)
For 《MY ASTRO-舞虎扬威大日子》 – Download link (43MB)
For 《2010年 8面威風全星頌》- Download link (30MB)

Alright now, let’s keep playing CNY songs until it’s over!! :D *dances to CNY songs*

Disclaimer: I found these links on the internet and am not the original uploader hence if it happens that the links above aren’t workable, you gotta go do the googling job on your own =P Please don't hesitate to share this post with your friends and colleagues if you like it.

It is notable for bringing cheap and affordable items.”

The above quote was plagiarised from Mydin’s Wikipedia entry. For two weekends I was working as part time promoter for a Germany stationery company at Mydin USJ and throughout my six days of standing there, working, I noticed how things work there, and how customers shop there. I just can’t not share them with you.

1. In Mydin, everyday is like the sales day. People keeps swarming into the hypermarket to buy stuffs and no matter what they’re browsing for, they mess up no matter what. In clothing section in supermarkets, normally you see how those people search for their perfect size by creating a mess, especially during sales. Well, in the place I worked at, not only clothes but even papers, pens, pencils, colour pencils, and whatnot.

They’re total expert at messing up the products. Good thing is, you don’t even have to bother about rearranging your products because this moment you put them nicely on the shelves, it’ll be messed the next. Very often, it happens so fast that you can’t even have adequate time to snap a photo of the product display.

Next time when you go there, please be sure to mess things up even if you never intend to buy anything.

2. Most of the people think before they buy something, but have you heard about people who think bloody well before purchasing a product but have never think properly before selecting a product?

I do. There are people who bring the trolley everywhere they go in the hypermarket and take things that they feel like buying and end up what they do is that when they’re gonna pay at the counter, they put the things at any random places. Pay for everything else and bye-bye-bye.

"Oh, I think my niece will need some of these."
*grabs few boxes of 2B pencils and put them into the trolley*

When it’s time to pay... "Owai I think one is enough, or... my niece is too small to even hold a pen, leave alone writing. Hmm..."

*takes the pencils and put them somewhere else, probably beside the hotdogs at the frozen food section*

This is not a joke. It happens very often. Being the promoter, I feel those people are bloody cheapskate; being a consumer, I feel that it’s consumers’ right at its best. Just do it, people.

3. Mydin, if I’m not mistaken, owns the largest hypermarket trolleys in Malaysia. No wonder people love pushing them around, some push it as far as their home. During weekends or public holidays, there are always a lot of customers – so damn a lot that traffic not only jams on the way to Mydin but also inside Mydin itself!

And guess what worsens the jam inside the building?

Trolleys. Bloody largest in Malaysia trolleys. And who pushes the trolleys everywhere they go in the building? Yes, those morons. You know what’s worse? They push empty trolleys. I’ve seen some pushing trolleys with either nothing in it or with something like a pack of ball pen or probably a small box of colour pencil. Like, what the eff??

Some used trolley to transport their kids. Period.

4. With the advancement of technologies, cash registries are now equipped with barcode scanners (Like, DUHH???!) and with price checkers that are powered by barcode scanners, customers can easily check the prices of products being sold. It’s as easy as ABC! Just place the product with its barcode facing the scanner’s ‘eye’ and voila! You’ll have the latest price screened on the screen.

And if each curiosity kills one cat, many cats had lost their lives even if they can die for nine times.

Price checkers are like a toy for them. Not only kids love them, adults enjoy utilising them too. Whatever they’ve got in their hands, without or without proper price tags, whether or not they’re actually interested to purchase it, they scan and scan and scan.

It’s like test-driving a brand new car whenever you drop by, probably before and after work everyday.

Okay, I think that’s all for the lulz. There’s no #5. I’m not insulting those people but sometimes to see uncivilised people, hypermarkets like this can be a good spot to spot them.

On another note, I’ve been seriously thinking what to achieve in year 2010. It has been a week into this brand new year but still I’m being indecisive over my targets of the year.

Setting goals is good but sometimes, some goals are set so high up there’s not enough motivation to even grasp it, leave alone reaching it. However, I’m so gonna get a DSLR this year! This time I swear – big time!

Let’s see if I’ve followed what I said.

In January 21st, I wrote a piece of article entitled ‘Resolutions Resolutions’. It consists of a list of New Year resolutions of mine and my New Year wish list.

The five resolutions I’ve mentioned are:
- to host my own blog
- to study well
- to join a half-marathon
- to get a DSLR
- to travel more.

Out of five, I only succeeded in one, or maybe one and a half. I did not manage to host my own blog, I did not join a half-marathon, I did not buy a DSLR and I do not think I studied really well, even though my results have been.. not bad. However, I did manage to travel some places this year, even though not that much, and even though I didn’t get to go to Phuket Island :P

Let’s have a look at the wish list:
- DSLR
- Adidas futsal shoes
- running shoes
- laptop
- a backpack.

Two checked out of five: laptop and backpack. Not really a backpack, just a travelling bag that resembles backpack. It stores quite plenty of stuff too. Got it for RM 99 from Parkson Melaka Mall.

Okay, now, all shits aside, let’s have a peek at what happened in 2009.

During early of the year, I entered Multimedia University to read Foundation in I.T. course. To date, I’ve finished two trimesters and finals for trimester three will be coming in less than a month’s time. Then, I’ll graduate from foundation studies and proceed to degree level at the Cyberjaya campus where I’ll most probably be doing Info System Engineering.

I joined the Voices Debating Society out of curiosity and I wanted to expose myself more to public speaking. (It can be a good way to train the thickness of your face skin.) Attended two major tourneys and was part of the organising committee of the 1st Malaysia Debate Open.

I flew on an airplane for the first time of my life, courtesy of my dad, for he paid for the ticket. And I went to Tasik Kenyir for sight-viewing and to find out that Nasi Dagang there sucks, and had fun in Pulau Kapas.

In May, Didier Drogba, the Chelsea striker, made the headlines for swearing on TV after Chelsea lost 1-0 to Barcelona, courtesy of Iniesta’s shot – the only shot by Barca in the game, in the Champions League semi-final. Feeling unsatisfied and unjustified, Drogba mocked the referee and started swearing at the camera. The funny part is actually the hip hop remix version some people uploaded to Youtube. You just can’t help to not laugh.

In July 18, Manchester United played the Malaysian XI at Bukit Jalil stadium and I was one of the thousands who watched it live. It was full house. It felt totally awesome to have gotten the chance to watch the Red Devils before my eyes. I shall never forget how Amri Yahya outclassed Van Der Sar and Ben Foster, and how Owen brought the crowd into cheers when he scored his first goal for Man Utd at Bukit Jalil. We managed to catch their open training too.

I had a horrible weekend in August, which I fell so sick I had to go for a blood test a SJMC to check if I was infected with H1N1 virus. Luckily, the result turned out to be negative. All thanks to working hard at KLCC PC Fair. Since then, I feel reluctant to work in PC Fair. I guess fear has got the most of me.

Travelling is in my blood. In September, after doing much ‘homework’, I paid a visit to Cameron Highlands – a place I reckon as the best highlands in Malaysia (Shoo, Genting! Shoo!) It was a nice trip there – perfect weather, picturesque sceneries, chilly air, and whatnot. If you want to escape from busy city life, why not try Cameron rather than Genting. It might be a lil’ further but well, at least you get screaming and yelling noise and more peace.

I went around eating a lot during the last quarter of 2009. One of the most notable eateries I’ve been to is the Tasty Pot Buffet Steamboat at Sunway Mentari. Other than that, I’ve been to Klang early in the morning for Bak Kut Teh, TGI Fridays and Tony Roma’s for dinner.

In late November, we celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday at TGI Fridays and Tony Roma’s, the latter together with her classmate who shares the same birthday. Due to my pure laziness, I haven’t get to quietly sit down and blog on it. Maybe it’ll come later on, after New Year.

In December, I celebrated my birthday at my hometown with my family members. The following weekend, I was invited to Michelle’s birthday in Cheras and she sponsored us to Poppy Garden, KL, as a follow-up of her birthday celebration. That was the first time I’ve been to Poppy.

I’m not telling what am I targetting in year 2010 yet. Will start thinking about it later on because I need to go for class now. Bye Bye 2009.

Thanks for being loyal readers of my blog (if any) and sorry to have disappointed you (if any). Happy New Year to you, to me, and to everybody.

Listen to Telephone at Youtube.

Warning: Do not read this post with empty stomach or in the middle of the night! This post is about some popular must-eat Malaccan food.
---

I should’ve posted this like two weeks ago but due to time constraint and my laziness, it’s up only today. The other weekend Chung came over to Malacca together with my girlfriend, to pick up his course-mate, Charlie, who stays just behind the famous Jonker Walk (aka Jonker Street).

It was a sunny Sunday. Upon arrival in Malacca town, we went to Charlie's place and I was personally impressed by his house. It’s like those traditional type of big house you often see on television.

One small part of Charlie’s house in Malacca.

And there are plenty of CCTVs installed because the house is so big that you can’t possibly know who’s at the main door when you’re at the other end of the house. The CCTVs are there too to help prevent buggers and burglars.

We had the famous chicken rice ball for lunch. It was my second time and it just tastes as good as ever.

Apart from the famous rice ball (chicken rice served in ball shape), the chicken, in my opinion, is also the main reason why it is so famous. The chicken meats are so smooth you seriously would wanna ask for more.

After having lunch, we decided to have a drink at the Geographer Cafe. Located at one corner of a junction at the Jonker Walk, the Geographer Cafe is a perfect place for tourists or visitors to sit down and grab a glass drink and chill.

Charlie emo?

Geographer Cafe is basically a western restaurant-cum-cafe. You can have lunch or dinner there too if you want to. And it’s mostly crowded with foreign tourists.

We went in and ordered Kilkenny for three. I don’t know beer but it certainly tasted better than Heineken.

No no no Charlie no emo

Next, we went to the jetty which is located just beside Holiday Inn Malacca.

The view there was so-so and it wasn’t pleasant to see a huge but dead lizard (four-legged snake, aka biawok) near the shore. No pictures because it was too disgusting.

But of course I believe the view will be a lot better at night with the lights of the Eye On Malaysia.

Nothing much to do there other than looking at the sea and some cargo ships and we had no time for karaoke so we ended up doing ‘the teenager thing’.

I don’t poke balls as good as I pose. Maybe my eyes are crooked that’s why I very often fail to pocket the balls. Now, tell me what’s a crooked eye??

It was started to get boring. Luckily it was then almost evening and the perfect time for...

SATAY CELUP!!

Capitol was having long queue as ever (why it seems like they never have no queues at all?!?!) so we headed to Ban Lee Siang at Jln Ong Kim Wee. Also, it was my second time there. The first time was earlier this year with Ahmike.

We ate quite a lot. If I recall correctly, the total bill was more than RM50 for just the four of us.

And that was considered our dinner already.

By the way, we actually went to have some cendol near the Red House’s clock tower but I didn’t take any pictures of it =P

There are a lot more Malaccan food to be explored but half a day was not enough albeit the capacity of our tummies can take it. No worries though, for I’m sure they’ll be back for more!

Different people have different desires but one thing for sure – desires never end. I have countless desires too – from electronic devices to footy shoes to soft toys, but it’s impossible to own everything.

And you probably can guess what’s in the way of owning everything.

In this post, you’re gonna see the greedy side of me for I’ll be listing down my ‘Top 5 Treat List’ out of a list of unlimited wishlist. These top 5 are nevertheless the best I’d love to have. (Note: Not in any particular order)

#5... Nike5 Zoom T-7

A fine product of Nike, Nike5 Zoom T-7 is the state-of-the-art futsal shoes made of premium kangaroo leather upper that has always been my dream shoes. With the fact that my current futsal shoes is already spoilt, it’s a perfect time to get a pair of new shoes. However, I just couldn’t find this anywhere in Malaysia and even in Perth where I asked for a friend’s favour to look for.

I’d really be surprised if one can get me a pair of T-7 now =P

#4... A Digital SLR

I know this is oh-so-common-thing. Kids are asking for camera, camera, camera while big kids like us are crying out for Digital SLR. You can’t blame us of falling in love with DSLR; in my case, I was totally in love with it since I started admiring high quality pictures I see on the web. Plus, Shaun had already started to ‘poison’ me last year.

I’m one greedy arse but only to the extent of owning a second-hand Nikon D80. But I just can’t see myself getting one any soon =(

#3... Dell Inspiron 13

I’m like a techie (if I don’t look like one to you, still). Owning gadgets is so much fun but sadly I’ve got no assets to maintain such a hobby. If you’re talking to me about Dell half a year ago, I’ll tell you to STFU and GTFO, simply because I wasn’t a fan of Dell. However, my perception slowly changed and later, I found Dell’s laptops are (well, of course not all of them) quite a good treat.

Small is the new big. A 13-inch laptop is the perfect size for a shorty like me. Why Dell? Why Inspiron 13? Why not Studio XPS? Why not Alienware??

Studio XPS is huge while Alienware is bloody expensive.

Well, well... Told ya small is the new big! The Dell Inspiron 13 has almost everything I need. A powerful Intel Centrino 2 processor with up to 2.53GHz clock speed is... I don’t need to elaborate, you should know how tasty it is. Four bloody GigaByte of DDR2 RAM is perfect to work together with the powderful processor as well as the 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium.

With 13.3” HD Wide Vivid display and about 1.8kg of mass, it’s suitable for not only chicks but also for people who prefer smaller, slicker and lighter laptops. On top of it, it’s not as tiny as netbooks which looked as if they were designed for puppies.

Another standout feature I like about Dell Inspiron 13 is its graphic processing ability. I spent my entire high school after UPSR (a Standard Six public exam in Malaysia) with my old rig of Intel Celeron PC – no C&C Generals, no Warcraft, no Counter-Strike, no nothing; just normal web-browsing and instant messaging. But it’s a totally different story if we’re talking about Dell Inspiron 13: 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330.

I’m not any hardcore gamers like my friends who can stay up whole night during weekends in cyber cafes playing dotA among themselves as if it’s all-you-can-eat buffet dinner-cum-supper-cum-breakfast. Therefore, the HD4330 graphic processor is more than enough for someone like me, who plays games just to release stress and to have the fun of it.

Being an I.T. student who constantly goes online surfing the net as I’m on the go, I seriously need a lappie that’s light yet powerful and reliable.

#2... Apple iPhone

Ahhhh! The people’s (if not world’s) latest obsession! Okay, I might be wrong because not everyone admires Apple’s products – certainly not Bill Gates. Well, actually I’m not a big fan of Apple mainly because I can’t afford them but I feel that Apple iPhone is like the in-thing now. The trend is now evolving into using smartphones and it’s either BlackBerry or Apple iPhone.

Apple iPhone 3Gs is such a delicious gadget. By saying delicious, of course I don’t mean it’s consumable but I admire its functions and features A LOT. From texting to calling to taking candid pictures to listening to music to going online via Wi-Fi to updating Twitter to logging into Facebook; OMG it’s like a mini computer already! LOL.

Well, of course it’s not perfect.

#1... Collins French Dictionary & Grammar

It sounds very obvious that this is a dictionary, or, to be exact, a French dictionary. Not that I’m learning French but since I’m so greedy that I don’t know what to pick for my last treat, I give it to my girllfriend.

She’s doing some French university diploma course now. Hence, the need to learn French. And she has been looking for this dictionary for quite some time. And I enjoy googling and discovering new websites.

The other day as I stumbled upon a Malaysian Property website as I was googling about property investment in Malaysia. As my accounts subject tuition teacher once said, 'smart people makes money out of money.'

I couldn’t agree more and IMO, property investment is one of the best ways to 'make money out of money.'

There are two ways to know more and to discover Malaysia’s property and real estate:
1) Google and take your time to look through the search results; or (the simpler way)
2) Visit PropWall.my

PropWall is like Wiki-Malaysia-Property-pedia because users are able to login to their account and share their knowledge on certain Malaysia Property by editing/updating the information on the website.

After slowly exploring the site out of curiosity (p.s. no cats involved), I found it pretty interesting. Not only users can update the information about Malaysia properties, those who have properties for sale can actually post about their properties’ information onto the website for as low as RM0!

Posting an ad is as simple as ABC. Property advertisers can use the trial version which allows them to post their property ad for one day before they decide whether or not to use the PropWall service.

For as low as RM0.55, advertisers can have their ‘For Sale’ ads on PropWall for 90 days with plenty of other features available.

Of course it’s not all about advertising properties. Visitors can browse through list of property available for sale and for rent on PropWall.my. Not only adverts about the Malaysian Properties are available, information regarding the place/area as well as latest pictures and analysis are available within the same page.

If that’s not enough, visitors can head into the Property Q&A section where questions regarding property investments in Malaysia are answered by the members. It’s like a mini-forum where members can discuss and exchange views about certain properties in Malaysia.

Interested in getting a new home or looking a place to make your property known? Pay PropWall a visit, I’m sure you can gain something from it. Hey, maybe you can even have your future house planned out!

I’d love to own a penthouse, what about you?

PropWall is Malaysia's largest FREE property resources website with over 500 property articles and 8,000 high quality property photos. Hmm...

Just before my (merely one week) trimester break ended, I spent my weekend at Sunway/Subang Jaya again and this time around we went to several places to makan.

On Friday night, we had steamboat buffet at Tasty Pot Buffet Steamboat Restaurant located at the Mentari Business Park. It cost about RM 27 per person and you can choose up to three different types of soup boiled in one pot.

We chose the Tom Yam soup, normal chicken soup and soya soup. As awkward as it sounds, soya soup is what they claimed to be the first in Malaysia and is like their specialty. However, we found it so unique that we left it boiling alone.

The Tom Yam soup was a bit too spicy whilst the chicken soup tasted just nice. I didn’t go to the max that night because I had a freaking ulcer developing under my tongue and a small wound on my gum. What a waste, but still, I managed to eat plenty of their famous BBQ chicken wings. Ahh, that, I tell you, is a MUST to try when you’re dining there.

The next morning, (this is gonna sound really crazy) we woke up as early as six in the morning and drove all the way from Subang Jaya to Klang for the food which our destination is famous for – Bak Kut Teh.

Having Bak Kut Teh early in the morning sounds a lot like old people isn’t it? Lol, but well, sometimes teenagers feel old too :P

Chung, Sam, Charlie, Andrew, Eunice and I sat in two cars to meet up Mervyn and Ejinn at the Angsa Emas restaurant in Klang. Ejinn and Mervyn did the orderings as they’re the locals and we were then served with really, really good Bak Kut Teh.

First came the ‘individual’ soup that came with pork, which tasted... “Mm, mm!!” lol.

Then, came the big pot of soup that tasted slightly different from the soup in small bowls. Of course, yau zhar guai (Chinese fried break stick; see Youtiao) can hardly be absent with the presence of Bak Kut Teh.

If that’s still not enough, we even had another pot of dried Bak Kut Teh!

I didn’t know dried Bak Kut Teh exists until that very day, and every time when the food is served, Sam and I will be busy taking pictures before everyone else can start eating. lol. It's like a habit for us already, since we both blog. (Even though I’m a bit slowpoke.)

Nevertheless, I believe everyone enjoyed the meal as much as I did.

That's Mervyn, posing for the picture =)

It was very nice of Ejinn's mom to have paid for our breakfast. (ahem.. not me.)

Once again I felt as if the world is as tiny as a town.

Before I went to Muar two weeks earlier (during Raya time), I had dinner with my gf and two of my MMU friends at this very nicely designed restaurant called Bei Zhan (Chinese: 北栈 běi zhàn).

It was my classmate, Kenz’s room-mate, Ah Kok, who suggested and directed us there because Capitol Satay Celup was full house. There was a queue that was extending till the next four shop lots beside the main restaurant. I wonder why people are willing to queue up so daymn long just for satay celup.

Anyway, let’s get back to Bei Zhan.

I was told that the restaurant is in its new location, meaning it was relocated to its current spot lately. I like its design. Totally.

From the outside, all you can see if its pure white corner-lot building with, also, white coloured signboard (or should I say the restaurant’s name because there isn’t any board after all above the entrance).

The ground floor was full with families dining in as we stepped into the restaurant and we were then shown the way to first floor where there’s another dining hall. The restaurant is marvellously big. Really one of its kind.

The theme, I assume, is pure white as the whole dining hall is painted in white and with the lights hung on the ceiling, it’s like they’re trying to be the brightest restaurant in Malacca. In my opinion, its interior decor is nothing short of magnificent. Its simple yet unique decor with the blend of pure white theme, which sparks its classiness, makes it a pleasant place to dine in.

I instantly felt as if I was in some high class western restaurant as I stepped into Bei Zhan. The only difference was majority of the people who were dining there were Chinese, and the food... I tell you... One word (with a symbol): Fantastic!

It’s like typical Chinese restaurant where you go in, place orders of the dishes you want and start chit-chatting and making noise until your food come, and you make even more noise (very often accompanied with burps) until you eventually finished your food. But still you won’t stop and keep making noise. Why??

Simply because the food is Fan. Tas. Tico. TM

(Oppsie, terikut-ikut Guru Pitka lol)

Anyway, I kid you not. The dining experience at Bei Zhan was pure bliss. The long queue at Capitol killed off our mood but Bei Zhan turned the tables completely and what a wonderful dinner we had. Now, all hail Ah Kok! Haha!

Four of us ordered four small different dishes and it cost us a sum of RM 50.10. I find it quite reasonable provided the ambience and the delicious food and not forgetting the rice. I have totally no idea what brand of rice they provide but I love it very much. Furthermore, the 'unlimited access feature' for the rice allows you to eat till you drop. That's double plus for them!

There are three different sizes for most of the dishes shown on the menu – small, medium (regular), large. I didn’t take the picture of the menu so I kinda forgot exactly what they have. However, I’m sure they do serve typical Chinese food, and yes, including pork. That’s a minus for them since it’s non-halal.

One thing that I must highlight here is their Curry Vegetables (or sort, well, you gotta pard’n ma forgetfoolness ya see – I’ve been studyin’ like.no.other these two weeks n’ it’s like, ya know, I’ve overwritt’n ma memory) lol.

The mixed vegetables cooked (or rather boiled) in an overly delicious bowl of curry was way too tempting and the taste was so intense and scrumptious it made me felt as if I was in heaven that instance.

Okay, maybe I’m over-expressing it a little but their curry veggie is seriously daymn good. Hence, it’s a must try if you visit Bei Zhan. Too many good food for me to list so if you’re in town, be sure to pay ‘em a visit. I guarantee (money-back NOT) you a splendid dinner there.

For its address and contact number you can check here and here for those who’d like to know its exact location on map.

Hope you’ll have a nice weekend ahead.

P.S. So sad.. =( But never mind lah, bukannyer aku balik Raye pon.. =P Bonnie's flying to Moscow tonight! Everybody says.. "TAKE CARE BONNIE TINNIE BUNNIE WINNIE!!" LOL!

Last weekend was much well spent with my gf. A trip to Cameron Highlands was such a great escape for both of us. So great that I’d love to stay a lil’ bit longer.. Only if I could, then I would.

I’ll make this post something like a guide for you to get to Cameron Highlands, things to do there and recommended places to visit. The picture above is just a glimpse of my pretty face and the awesome tea plantation. =P

Driving up to Cameron Highlands is a piece of cake; only difference is you’ll take the time to bake a cake to get there rather than the time to finish it. There are two ways you can take – either via the Simpang Pulai way or the Tapah way (if you’re travelling from the North-South Expressway).

If you take the Simpang Pulai exit, you’ll end up at Brinchang whilst taking the latter will bring you to Tanah Rata. For your information, Brinchang is about 6km north of Tanah Rata and it’s a quieter place compared to Tanah Rata. Of course other modes of transportation are available, check out this page for more info on getting there.

When planning your trip, make sure you do your homework. One of the most important thing to do is to survey its accommodations. Are you planning to stay at some big hotels with ‘stars’ or normal budget hotel will do for you? For me, I picked Hotel Titiwangsa as many have recommended it in online travel forums that I’ve visited when planning the trip two months back.

It’s located at Brinchang and is a rather new hotel, which was opened in year 2008 if I’m not mistaken that’s why the building still looks new and the rooms are, in my opinion, like the rooms of First World Hotel of Genting Highlands, only bigger, and cleaner. Moreover, the price is affordable and reasonable. However, do check with them before making any swift bookings because there are surcharges for public holidays.

Of course there are plenty other hotels out there that you can try. Take some time to do some ‘research’ on the Internet, you’ll be surprise of how much information you can find about Cameron Highlands.

As most of the people are aware of, Cameron Highlands is famous for its cold weather and is all about tea plantation, strawberries and veggies. So, examples of places of interest are the BOH Tea Plantation, strawberry farms and vegetable farms.

After checking-in, we headed to the Big Red Strawberry Farm, which is located in Brinchang – a stone’s throw away from Hotel Titiwangsa.

Along its walkway, there are rows and rows and rows of vegetables being planted and they're mostly lettuce; like those you put in your salad. Meanwhile, on the another side of the walkway, there are another rows and rows and rows of strawberry plants.

Opps, not this picture. But well, you can see there – rowsss of lettuce. The lettuce looked so fresh that they instantly made me feel rejuvinated.

There you go – strawberry! Looks so pretty isn’t it? As pretty as it is, it’s already in my tummy :P You can pick your own strawberries at the farm and they’ll charge you RM40 for every kilogramme of strawberry that you’ve plucked.

There’s a shop inside Big Red Strawberry Farm that sells almost everything that has got to do with strawberry and a cafe that serves, too, almost every drink or food that has got to do with strawberry. You might as well get a lil’ surprised to see how creative they are.

They have strawberry tea.

Strawberry jam, which they produce themselves and which I bought one for myself.

Strawberry chocolate – chocolate with dried strawberry inside.

Strawberry cookies.

Instant strawberry hot chocolate drink.

Maybe Milo can start producing strawberry flavour too. Hmm.. Oh, that’s not it! More to come.

Strawberry photo frame.

Strawberry clock. I’m not sure if it has alarm function.

Strawberry SOAP!!

Last but not least...

Not strawberry kiss. Hey, maybe Hershey’s can think about creating Strawberry Kisses? Hah. It’s like everything strawberry there. Strawberry fans might as well bring home the whole shop.

Being a lot like a choco-freak (not an ‘official member’ yet), I tried the strawberry hot chocolate drink before leaving the farm. In my humble opinion, the flavour of strawberry blends quite well with the taste of the chocolate making it not only smells good, but taste awesome too. (=

When I say it was reasonable to have stayed at Hotel Titiwangsa, I really mean it. I don't get paid by promoting them. It’s because I enjoyed my stay there that I kept mentioning the name.

Our stay at the hotel came together with a steamboat dinner for two as well as breakfast for two, which means we only had to spend for lunch and for tea. The restaurant was rather quiet, probably occupancy was not high that weekend but the food was nice.

The food prepared for our steamboat dinner was nothing less than wonderful. The veggies were super fresh, and the seafood was as fresh as if they’ve just caught them from the sea. Isn’t it nice to have steamboat in a chilly night?

The very fresh punya shrimp. Thumbs up!

Of course, if you prefer, there are several steamboat restaurants in town. However, from what I’ve read from the Internet, not all steamboat restaurants are good. There are some that charge customers with cut-throat prices whilst some don’t. You can try to locate Mayflower or Hong Kong steamboat, which both are located at Tanah Rata. I heard that they serve good food at reasonable price.

Food isn’t hard to find at Cameron Highlands, whether you’re at Tanah Rata or at Brinchang. Heck, they even have Starbucks up there!

We paid a visit to T-Cafe for lunch the other day. A small restaurant with homely feeling located above the Marrybrown restaurant, opposite the bus station at Tanah Rata. The food is good and its price is, for what I consider, one of the most reasonable ones.

It’s a good place for you to take a break and enjoy home-cooked food (both Asians and Western food), bringing out the nostalgic feeling in you. Only thing is sometimes the noise of the cars is a bit annoying, so if you’re paying them a visit, make sure you sit a bit inside rather than near to the window facing the main road. And soon, the T-Cafe will be known as the Lord’s Cafe.

See, I kid you not.

Despite having so many tourist spots up the highlands, I still think that a trip to the tea plantation is a must and is most rewarding.

I dare say that you can hardly prove me wrong.

The scenery, the tranquillity plus its fresh, cool air beat karaoke, dotA, shopping hands down. You can’t feel me until you’ve been there.

The BOH Tea Centre is located at Sungei Palas, somewhere in between Brinchang and Kg Raja. Just a few minutes’ drive from Brinchang and off the main road, you’ll need to drive through a short stretch of hill road before arriving at destination. Park your car somewhere at the foothill and walk up the short bush towards the tea centre.

There’s a cafe at the tea centre for visitors to sit down to enjoy both the scenery and the BOH tea. Don’t forget to snap some pictures when you’re there too. Also, pay a visit to the other side of the tea centre where there’s a BOH shop selling a variety flavours of tea and some BOH exclusives souvenirs.

Take the chance to take a free tour to the tea leaves processing factory just beside the tea centre. The tour only takes about 5-8 minutes and the tour guide will briefly explain how the tea leaves are being processed into what we always see on the shelves of supermarket – BOH tea bags or tea leaves. You can, of course, raise questions should you want to know more about the processes as the guide will be more than glad to answer your queries.

As we stepped out of the factory, there was a couple taking wedding photographs and they even went down to the tea plantation place to take their wedding photographs. Hmm.. Girls, where’d you like to have your wed-photos taken? Haha!

Another special thing in Brinchang is its pasar malam (night market). The veggies being sold there are utterly fresh and you must try the Jagung Mutiara (something they call the ‘Pearl Corn’ in English). Unlike the jagung at lowlands, these Pearl Corns can be consumed raw and it’s freaking huge and juicy and sweet! We bought six of those for ten bucks. If you’re looking forward to get some fresh veggies back to lowland, you can get them from the pasar malam whilst showing some bargaining skills of yours ;-)

There’s one thing that I’d like to highlight: beside the Hotel Titiwangsa lobby there’s a bread shop/cafe that serves meat floss bread that tastes so daymn good I tapao three of those before leaving Cameron Highlands.

Gosh, now I’m craving for it again!

---
Here are some info of places I mentioned above:

Hotel Titiwangsa
Lot 187 & 188, Jln Besar,
39100 Brinchang, Cameron Highlands, Pahang.
Tel: 605 490 1188 / 1189

The T-Cafe (soon to be the Lord’s Cafe)
No. 4, 1st Floor (Side Entrance),
Main Road, 39000, Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands.
Tel: 605 491 4018 (Opens daily except Sundays)

- More info on BOH Tea Centre Sg. No joke, I swear. Especially its hand dryer! Daymn canggih!

Obviously, it can be no one but Steven when the title reads like Eminem’s song lyrics. My wait for September to come finally came to an end and well, since I won’t have the chance to go home during Raya break, I’m now going home earlier.

Why can’t I be back during Raya break, you ask? Well, it appears to me that the university is so moronic that they’ve picked the week after Raya break as the exam week. Well, I don’t really have problem with that since it’s Raya, not CNY. Make finals a week after CNY then I swear I’ll start swearing at them already.

There are a few things to accomplish during my three-short-day-stay in Terengganu this weekend. First and foremost, I’ll be picking up girlfriend at the jetty as she’ll be paying a visit to the town from Pulau Redang, where she’s currently having her industrial training. To be exact, she has already completed her training and only waiting for the day to fly back to KL.

Next, I’ll need to pack some stuff like frying pan, some eating and cooking utensils and football in a box and bring ‘em back to Malacca. Also, I’ll be learning some cooking skills from my mom so that I won’t have to fry eggs or fry rice only (Because, unfortunately, that’s the only thing I know how to make using a frying wok).

I’ve not gotten enough quality sleep since about a fortnight ago. Therefore, if possible, I’d like to sleep till I burp this weekend. I’ve joined a futsal team recently – The Rebels, in Malacca. Played my debut game with them and scored a debut goal on Wednesday night, but I believe it could have been better. And I believe I’ll only turn better (=

I need a pair of new futsal shoes. Not sure if my bank account will approve it so I’ll have to wait till after my trip to somewhere next weekend. Somewhere is a place I shall not disclose at the moment (just yet =P). I’ll make a trip to Al-Ikhsan this weekend to check out some shoes and their prices before deciding which to purchase. Also, I’ll most probably get the new Man Utd jersey. Ciplak one lah, of course. I don’t spend RM299 for a shirt unless I’m able to earn the money to get it. Supporting my favourite football team using my parents’ money isn’t something to be proud of. Hmm... I might as well play a game of futsal this weekend with some hometown friends; that is if and only if they can find enough players to play.

So, if you’re in town and free this weekend, buzz me and maybe we can go have a tea. Don’t forget to say hi if you get to bump into me (= Hope you’ll have an equally nice weekend.

Why Can’t Login?!

Small Talk: Wiktionary states that writer’s block means the inability to begin or continue work on a piece of writing; normally temporary. But it seems forever to me :(

First it was CIMBclicks, then Maybank2u was a bit slow too, but not to the extent of having me posting it up telling the whole world how sucky it is. Anyway, my previous post has no special context, I’m not hating CIMB it’s just that I believe in order to get a customer’s loyalty you’ll first need to make your customer happy.

Anyway, this time around it’s Facebook.

This didn’t happen only once. Previously, I’ve encountered this problem and like everyone else, I believed it. Until earlier this morning, the same problem came. It came while I was logged into Facebook, while I was stalking chicks on Facebook (oppss!) and working my friends’ arses out on FFS. What a turn off!

Anyway, later in the evening I’ll be travelling to KL (Sunway, to be exact) and will most probably be working at Sunway Pyramid from Friday till the Independence Day, which means I won’t have time to celebrate Independence Day, so sad! Everybody, show your love to the country; place a flag on your car top; while kids, use your pocket money to get tiny flags and wave it!

Of course, don’t let your parents know that you bought it on your own cuz’ they’re gonna be like.. ‘daymn why simply waste money?!’ Or maybe that’s probably gonna happen on my lil’ bro back in Terengganu and that’s why I doubt parents will be impressed by the kids’ patriotisms.

By the way, daymn is the ang moh’s way of saying ‘damn!’

On another note, (this is something I can’t skip!!) last night I arrived home very late from futsal and as I was approaching home I saw a car being parked by the roadside. We call it ‘simply park’. To my surprise, I think I saw a couple making up in the backseat of the car. I was like ‘daymn! here also can?!?!’

I didn’t really peek into the car when I walked past but well, from far I saw a couple’s shadows and well.. their movements did look familiar. LOL. But then again, I can’t be sure if it’s really a couple; who knows it was a gay couple, but err... it’s still a couple, no? Oh ya, one more thing is that the car wasn’t shaking. Yea, it wasn’t, I swear.

Okay, maybe they just started it when I was there.

And maybe I should’ve knocked on their window and shout ‘GO EFFING GET A ROOM!!’ and quickly run away. Getting more than two days of rest is enough for some to even go up Genting to release their stress, either in the theme park or the casinos.

My recent weekend was exactly the opposite. If a long weekend to you means wonderful then my weekend was nothing more than a disaster.

It all started on Thursday morning when I started working at PC Fair at KLCC. It was a day prior to the actual exhibition day and we were there to help out setting up the booth. Of course we were to be paid for it. I spent almost whole day there, from about ten in the morning until 8pm, but most of the time doing nothing but standing there.

If you think that’s cool, you’re wrong! Carrying stuff, setting up booth and placing the stocks on the racks in huge, stuffy, oven-like hall isn’t fun at all. It was hot and tiring, especially my legs.

The next morning was the first of the fair which lasted for three days (Friday to Sunday). A lot of visitors were there and throughout the three days, Ivan and I worked our arses out selling the products because commission counts into our respective salary too. Which means, the more you sell, the better pay you get.

I managed to sell quite a lot throughout the PC Fair but I can’t be sure how many because I didn’t count the quantity. But the three days went slowly and it was super tiring, again, especially my legs.

Finally, the fair ended. Just as it ended on Sunday night, I started to feel ill. I knew that I was falling sick. So, instead of staying back till midnight helping the others, Ivan and I left for the betterment of my health. However, it turned out to be even worse.

That night I had fever. Not high fever, just normal fever. The next morning when I woke up I felt extremely exhausted with headache and slight fever. And I was supposed to return to Terengganu by bus that night. My body was so worn out that even when I stand up and walk I’ll feel as if my calves are cramping. It was an unimaginable ordeal.

In the afternoon, I went to the clinic on my own and after checking and all, the doctor advised me not to travel back to Terengganu first and if the fever doesn’t get any better by next two days, I must head to hospital for the H1N1 test. Her serious tone sent a chill up my spine, not to mention it was damn cold in her clinic and that already kept me shivering.

It was Tuesday morning when I woke up to slight headache and (I think) just a little bit of fever. Chung flew back from Terengganu that morning. When it was almost noon, I hopped into a cab and headed to Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC). No, of course I didn’t really hopped in. Just literally.

Did a blood test and consulted the doctor. All these were not really necessary since I already got some medicine prescribed by the doctor of the clinic the day before but to make sure that I’m really O.K. and free from virus, my sister and father insisted me to go have a check in the hospital.

Well, the results shown that I’m virus free and the next morning (which means, this morning), I woke up feeling better – without headaches, fever but still with cough. The medical fee for my blood test, consultation and medicine really cost a bomb. But thankfully I should be able to claim back from the insurance company.

On the same day (which also means today), I flew back to Terengganu courtesy of my sister who booked the flight ticket for me the night before. And now I’m typing from home with a little cough, little sore throat, but not headaches and fever.

Lesson learnt: Never overwork yourself or else what you’re gonna pay for when you’re sick is so gonna be more than what you earn :) Guess what? The total amount I spent on both clinic and SJMC is more than that of the price of the flight ticket that allowed me home, which is probably more than my PC Fair salary if summed up.

Last, but not least, I’m happy to be home and be free of whatsoever viruses.

Almost fully recovered, just having some coughs that’s taking some time to leave me alone.

I was reading through some funny posts in Lowyat.NET forum few days back and had quite some good laughs there. In this post I’ll be posting a funny post which I found interestingly hilarious.

A forummer posted something we’ve always seen and received via forwarded e-mails:

DO YOU KNOW ? Coke+Ajinomoto Can be Used To Rape Ladies
I received a news about the recent tactic used to spike girls' drink..

It is a cheap and widely used method.

This method was used in Canny Ong murder.

Rapist uses this method.

Coca-cola+ajinomoto/monosodium glutamate = a medicine which will cause drowsiness and excitement in the victim.

This mixture is poisonous if used too often on the victim.

Please send this to all your female friends, sisters, & your loved ones and ask them to beware.

DO NOT accept coca-cola or any other drinks from stranger / even
if it is your friend that you are not very close with.

Regards,

Hishamuddin Alias ( ASP )
Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Berat
IPK Kuala Lumpur

Another forummer, rather ignorantly (IMO), replied: “no wonder after eating maggi and drink coke i felt horny”.

I laughed my arse off at the moment I read it. FYI, I have no idea whether Coke + MSG will cause dizziness or tipsiness so I can’t confirm the validity of the above piece of information. But you can always try to experiment it and let me know the result. :)

Alright perverts, I know what you’re thinking now, so please eff off. lol.

I don’t know exactly why but maybe it’s either because that I’ve not encountered anything interesting enough in my daily college/uni life to be shared or it’s because I’m not single.

However, that doesn’t kill because if Steven stops writing, it means Michael Jackson is still alive. Meanwhile, this is gonna be one helluva long post.

For some, Manchester United winning 3-2 is a shame. Not shame to Malaysian selection team but to the Red Devils because they thought since Man United is the Barclay’s Premier League champions so beating a crappy team like Malaysian selection team with a big goal margin should be nothing but a piece of cake.

They are wrong. If you say that being the champions of England means a team can beat any crappy team with big goal margin, it’s nothing but pure nonsense. But of course I’m proud that Malaysian selection team managed to score two goals for their first game on Saturday. They’re, in fact, not that bad after all.

Last Saturday, I was going to Bukit Jalil National Stadium with some friends and so we planned to get there early just in case if we can’t get a parking spot. So we went there rather early – more than two hours before the match expected 5.30pm kick-off time.

As we thought that we were smart enough to make the smart move to be there early, to our freaking surprise, many others were actually as smart as us. In fact, they were there even earlier than us and a lot were already queuing up at the entrances even since before we hit the road, I suppose. There are, in this case, smart Malaysians too.

When you are late to class or for work, you’ll say suck chair (traffic jam, read in Cantonese) but when it’s Manchester United in town, you suddenly get so smart you know how to leave home early to avoid the jam.

There were lotsa stalls selling food, drinks and Manchester United merchandise there. Even TM set up plenty of booths there promoting their iTalk card special edition with Manchester United players’ picture printed on it. What a way to promote their product and what a way to fool the fools.

Opps... Almost forgot that I’m studying in a TM university and using their Internet connection to publish this blog post. lol.

The Manchester United official merchandises aren’t any cheap stuff. I’m unsure whether they flew the stuff to Malaysia but damn, one shirt costs almost RM50 whilst a tiny-weeny keychain costs about RM30.

Maybe it’s expensive, but still, there were lots of people crowding the booth getting their hands on the merchandises. Probably that’s how die-hard supporters show their support to the club as well as how they feed the players and the staffs and their families.

Well, consider me talking nonsense because I did exactly the same – but instead of spending on merchandises, I merely spent on the ticket.

Crazy supporters got into the stadium as early as 3.30pm and started making noises after everyone got their seat whereas the match was to kick off at 5.30pm. Now can you imagine how enthusiastic these people are?? And of course, ‘these people’ includes me as well. lol.

The Red Devilzzz

Before the match kicked off, players of both teams came out to the pitch to warm themselves up and that’s the moment the stadium got a volume boost. When there are only fans, it’s noisy; when there are both fans and the players, it’s friggin’ noisy – or, for a lack of a better word, effing noisy.

No one wasn’t overjoyed.

But it’s not some stupid annoying noise. It’s the noise that represented our support to Mal..ahem..Manchester United team and the noise that showed how crazy and how ‘warmed-up’ we were for the match. Having the chance to witness the players training and playing in front of me, with my bare eyes, was like a dream come true. To make my point clearer: I mean the Red Devils, not the other one okay.

As fans were cheering and chanting slogans and Manchester United players’ names even before they ran out on to the pitch for pre-match warming up session, there were plenty of morons who came with Chelsea or Malaysian team jersey and made a fuss out of it. And those ‘one of its kind’ people were treated with warm and constant booing by the crowd. How can one not feel embarrassed getting booed by a crowd of thousands.

Ivan told me something funny too. In front of his seat there was someone who wore AC Milan jersey with Kaka’s name and number printed on the back of the jersey. (Ironically, Kaka is somewhere else now.) Then, people started telling him that he’s at the wrong place, go back to San Siro, this is Bukit Jalil. lol.

Manchester United was leading first with 2-0. W to da A to da Y to da N to da E to da Wayne Rooney scored as early as the 5th minute into the game. The whole stadium turned into a humongous loudspeaker with the cheering and yelling of the ecstatic fans celebrating the goal. It was an euphoric moment.

Nani added the second one during the 27th minute, finishing from Rooney’s pass brilliantly. Even more entertaining was his trademark flip over goal celebration. To have seen him doing the flip over with my naked eyes was simply marvelous. As a matter of fact, to be able to catch them live... nothing is not good at all.

The Red Devils were then taking it easy with the Malaysian selection team whom the players were wearing Blue coloured jerseys. Maybe they knew that the Reds dislike the Blues. The team’s number 17, Amri Yahya, was playing his arse out for the team.

Malaysian selection team is of course not as strong as Manchester United but they still managed to make a few shots, although many were out of target. Amri Yahya, the scorer of both the Malaysian side’s goals that night made a few attempts before he finally scored during first half extra time.

Amri Yahya is one brave Malaysian. Before he managed to score, he made a few attempts which he miserably failed and received boos from the crowd of almost 100,000 people. He didn’t give up. He kept trying and finally he did it – not once, but twice. Now, that’s the spirit. At the same time, this shows that Malaysians, too, are kinda realistic. Haha. When you attempt and you fail, you get boos but when you attempt and manage to score, you get cheers as much as when any Manchester United players score.

True enough, because I did cheer like everyone else did when Amri Yahya scored. His first goal during first half extra time was a smart move, though some might say it was pure luck. Whilst vying for the ball with a defender (if I’m not mistaken, it was Johnny Evans), he lobbed the ball over goalie Van Der Sar who was not standing by his goalpost.

For the equaliser he scored at the 7th minute into the second half, I have to admit that he was lucky but at the same time, it was the Ben Foster’s mistake that he got that chance to equalise. So, it’s 50-50 – 50 lucky and 50 Foster’s mistake. In one night he managed to beat two goalkeepers of Manchester United, how can he not be proud of himself? Now his daddy can go kopitiam and start bragging like “Hey, ma son beat two Man United goalkeepers to score two goals against Man United leh! Mana your son??”

It’s a shame for VDS to have committed that error and even more shameful for Foster to have made that awful yet avoidable mistake. It was a back-pass from a defender which Foster missed. Probably because he didn’t join the passing training the day before. Haha! He was training long range goal-kick with his trainer during their open training session, I’ve got pictures as proof. lol.

The long awaited moment of Michael Owen’s debut for Manchester United finally arrived. Ronney was substituted by Owen during second mid-second half and it was even more meaningful when he scored his debut goal for Manchester United on his debut game at 85th minute. It couldn’t have been any better. The crowd once again turned ecstatic and no one was on their seat. I, on the other hand, was jumping in joy, punching my fists into the air as an act of cheering for Owen’s winner.

To be honest again, fifty-eight Ringgit has never been this worth it – to be able to watch the Manchester United play live, to be able to see them score goals, to be able to see the players celebration with my own eyes, to be able to be part of the rapturous audience and to be able to see Owen’s debut goal for Manchester United.

Glory Glory Man United!

But kanasai, no chance to see Cristiano Ronaldo #%@$^!&

Never mind lah. Pretend that Cristiano’s hair rusted a bit loh!

Do check it out.

Last weekend, like many footy fans (Manchester United fans, in particular, me included) waded through amongst themselves to get into the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur for a common cause – to watch Manchester United play the Malaysian selection team LIVE!

To me, it was all about Manchester United, not Malaysian XI. But please don’t get me wrong, I did cheer when Amri Yahya (Malaysian XI No. 17) scored the goals. (Even though I cheered louder for Owen’s winner.)

However, I won’t be blogging about the match yet. Today I’m gonna post up some pictures I’ve taken during their training session on Friday, a day before the actual match day.

The open training session lasted for about an hour. It was published on the schedule that the Malaysian XI team would be having their open training after Man Utd’s, which is at 6.30pm but due to some I-dunno-what errors...ahem...it was Malaysian XI team who were having open training the hour before Manchester United’s.

It is understandable. 6.30pm is considered late – they’d like to save electricity and save Earth. In fact, who doesn’t know that fans will be leaving after Man United’s training. If that’s the case, who are to watch our very own Bolehland selection team’s training after Man United’s, correct? Very smart. Super smart. Told ya Malaysia Boleh!

Well, nothing much really. Only that the Malaysian team received lotsa ‘Boo-es’ compared to Manchester United, which the fans in the stadium started cheering since the moment Paul Scholes shows up until the team left in a coach.

The atmosphere.. Well, of course the stadium wasn’t full because it’s only an open training session. But still, almost one-third of the stadium was full, if not half. We, crazy flers, kept cheering and shouting the star players’ name.

“ROONEY!! ROONEY!! ROONEY!!!” Everyone yelled at top of their voice.

And the best part is when Rooney waved at us, we shouted even louder as if we’ve achieved orgasm at that point. It was hilarious. If there’s a line to describe my feeling at that time, it’d have been ‘on top of the world’.

Anyway, I’ll just keep my expressions in my Man Utd post-match blog post. Haha!

Oh, by the way, Ben Foster said HI! =D
