After Jamie's failed attempt to poison Darryl lands Greta Noa (Rosanna Arquette) in the hospital about to die, Darryl urges Kat to embrace her healing abilities so she can save his friend. Meanwhile, as Joanna tries to resurrect her writing career, her rivalry deepens with cocky reporter Max. And Jamie is forced to team up with Bun and Eleanor (Cybill Shepherd) to finish the job on Darryl, on "Eastwick," WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 2 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Eastwick - Maggie Friedman retracts "furious" remark

Ever say something and then kick yourself the moment it appears on the most popular blog with the words “Ausiello” and “Files” in it on the planet? No? Well, pay attention anyway. Eastwick exec producer Maggie Friedman — who earlier this week told me she was “furious” about the cancellation of her ABC dramedy — is regretting her choice of words. She just e-mailed me the following clarification:

“The other day, when we were discussing the cancellation of Eastwick, I misspoke in the worst possible way. The word ‘furious’ was poorly chosen by me. You had said to me that ‘the fans are understandably furious’ and so I agreed that I was too, but the truth is, I’m not. I see that word now in print attributed to me and it’s very painful, because it seems to imply I am angry with ABC and nothing could be further from the truth. They treated me really well. I am not the least bit furious, with anyone. That’s simply not the kind of person I am. Yes, I’m sad about the show being cancelled, because it was creatively fulfilling and tons of fun to make and an amazing group of people, but I’m not angry.”

Consider the record set straight.

America's Next Top Model: Where would we be without Miss J's ridiculous puffy sleeves at the ANTM judging table? Well, according to the New York Daily News, we are about to find out. Word is, Tyra's longtime frenemy Kimora Lee Simmons is set to return to the series to claim a judging spot next season. So is Vogue editor at large André Leon Talley. According to the report, Miss J will stay on as a runway coach.

Wipeout: Sad news. According to TheWrap, a contestant died last week after suffering a stroke while performing a stunt on ABC's Wipeout. He was only 33.

Scrubs: Tomorrow is Zach Braff's last day on set, from what we hear. New Scrubs cast photos are here.

Eastwick: The show's boss, Maggie Friedman, is "furious, too," and none too thrilled that ABC pulled the plug so abruptly, leaving no time for closure, according to an EW interview.

Morales in Denver: I'm confused after seeing last night's Glee. What was it that was upsetting to the disabled community? I thought the episode was amazing and empowering in every way.

To the show's credit, I'm told that the actress with Down syndrome who plays the new cheerleader Becky (Lauren Potter) will definitely be back in the Dec. 2 episode. And I'm sure we'll see Sue's sister again at some point. (How touching was that scene, by the way?)

Morena Baccarin, who plays Anna, the creepy-hot leader of the Visitors, is coy on the matter, but says it's definitely a possibility. There's your breaking news, Chad Decker.

I loved the Arizona-centric episode of Grey's Anatomy. What's next for her? — Lori
ADAM: Show of jazz hands: Who wants a musical episode of Grey's? Well, you're probably out of luck, but we will see Arizona sing in the coming weeks! Better still, it's a duet, but don't expect Tony winner Sara Ramirez to be her partner in song. Instead, Arizona will trill with one of her male co-stars. I hear the Chief has a rich baritone.

MICKEY: "We have another flashback episode scheduled," says executive producer Kevin Williamson. "We're going to learn more about the night [Stefan and Damon] died." This flashback will give us more information about Katherine, which will eventually lead to a surprising reveal about the Elena doppelgänger.

ADAM: Big? Try explosive! In the Dec. 3 episode, Dell's house will go up in meth cooking-related flames with his girlfriend and daughter inside. Sadly, one of the two will be making a visit to the burn ward.

Any hints about songs coming up on Glee? — Mason
MICKEY: My personal favorite is a rather soulful rendition of a scream-tastic Billy Idol hit. (Yes, I said soulful.) But you'll also hear songs by the Rolling Stones and Van Halen, according to Mark Salling, who plays Puck. Plus, one source tells me that after the Madonna-centric episode in early 2010, the show will do the same with the music of Michael Jackson. Hee-hee!

What's this I hear about Katee Sackhoff in a bubble bath on Big Bang Theory? — Aaron
ADAM: Cool your frakkin' jets, Aaron. Sackhoff appears in a fantasy sequence as Wolowitz's conscience to help him through a rough patch with his new ladyfriend Bernadette. Starbuck must give him the right advice because by Episode 10, the two will be ready to get BIZ-AY — if only Wolowitz's mom would stop yelling from the next room.

I'm dying for information about the Bolens' secret on Desperate Housewives. I have no idea. — Rachel T. Rex
MICKEY: First off, you'll soon discover that the Bolens have been on the run for a long time. Second, I think they're having a lot of fun right now making poor Nick (Jeffrey Nordling) seem as creepy as possible, but in the end, I think it's just misdirection: The Bolens' secret is about what Angie did, and she'll pay the price.

Got any Lie to Me scoop? — Jake
ADAM: Ever topical, Monday's episode sees the team investigating a deadly stampede outside a department store on Black Friday. Foster and Lightman, meanwhile, try to reunite a 16-year-old boy with his biological parents. Before the hour is up, somebody will come thisclose to being fired, and they won't even know it. And it all comes down to money. Like we said: topical!

Do we know for sure that Eastwick is canceled? — Karen
MICKEY: Well, no, but this can't be a good sign: Roxie's long-presumed dead husband, Danny, who everybody thinks she killed, will return to Eastwick on an upcoming episode, five years after his "death." Sounds to me like someone is tying up loose ends.

What's going to happen on Dexter now that Dexter has killed an innocent man? — Justin
ADAM: Confession is good for the soul, Justin. That's the lesson Dexter learns when he takes a road trip to Tampa with Trinity. The bigger surprise, however, is the confession that Trinity makes.

Will we see more of Mitch and Cam's parenting on Modern Family? — Janie
MICKEY: In an upcoming episode, Mitch and Cam will attempt to "Ferberize" Lily, which has nothing to do with this guy (thank God, shudder) but rather this guy. We'll also meet Jay's buddies in an upcoming episode that explores the oft-misunderstood concept of gaydar.

Is there a new season of The Closer starting soon? — Teri
ADAM: The winter season of The Closer kicks off Dec.7 with Brenda & Co. investigating the death of a 12-year-old boy whose father and brother are both gang members. Plus, Fritz has a big surprise for Brenda, and Provenza will have more than a little trouble in romantic paradise.

Adam's Mega Rave: Mad Men's third-season finale was an achievement on all levels. It wrapped up nearly all the dangling plot threads while remaining true to its characters. Its caperlike tone proved that the show still has new tricks in its arsenal. And most importantly, the episode left us wanting to see the beginning of Season 4 the moment it ended. It's going to be a long, cold winter.

I trust that you typically sit down when you watch ‘NCIS,’ because this week’s episode is going to blindside you with tragedy. The set-up: An assassin played by Kelly Hu on ‘NCIS: LA’ earlier this season resurfaces in Washington, D.C., placing Director Vance’s family – and others – in danger. Former ‘Women’s Murder Club’ member Paula Newsome, who plays Vance’s wife Jackie, told me, “There’s a lot on the line and a lot of people land in harm’s way, and somebody goes down.” Newsome says the “shocking” death will be “really hard” on the NCIS team “because they’re a very tight-knit group.” Commence fretting!

Do you have any scoop on what’s next for ‘CSI: NY’s’ Danny and Lindsay? – Sara
I cannot believe that it took a whole six weeks into my new gig for the first Danny-Lindsay question to hit my mailbox! And your reward, Sara, is good news. (I think.) Executive producer Peter Lenkov wants you to know that outside of “Danny’s near/possible injury relapse and keeping that a secret, I think it’s smooth sailing for the happy couple.” All together now: Aww!

Is Izzie pregnant on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’?! The new promo sure makes it look that way. – Sofie
It will be interesting to see who Meredith is directing her “You’re pregnant?” at. If Izzie, the timing could be fortuitous for the put-upon Dr. Stevens. As series creator Shonda Rhimes told me, “Izzie has had everything taken from her - she’s had cancer, she’s lost a friend [George], and she had what she saw as a betrayal of a relationship [with Alex] when she got fired - so she’s sort of standing on this very delicate place where she feels like she has nothing. She’s searching for some reason to hang on.” Motherhood could be a very good reason, but I’m just spitballing here.

I am psyched that we now have a Season 2 premiere date (December 8th) for ABC’s ‘Better Off Ted.’ Give me something to look forward to. – Eddie
Just how chilly is Portia de Rossi’s Veronica? Why, she makes a visiting fraulein look downright cuddly. Stefanie von Pfetten (aka ‘Battlestar Galactica’s’ Captain Marcia “Showboat” Case) will guest star as a German executive who is anxious to bed Ted, even though Veridian Dynamics’ high-tech solution to their language barrier finds them making pillow talk in quite possibly the least sexy voices possible.

When is ‘Glee’s’ Finn going to learn that Puck is the father of Quinn’s baby? - Ellen
Finn comes close to gleaning the truth this week, when Puck questions his BFF’s ability to provide as a papa and the fists begin flying, so I imagine it’s just a matter of time. And when that babydaddy bombshell is exposed? “It’s going to hit the fan,” promises Mark Salling. “But Puck really screwed Finn over, so he kind of deserves what he’s got coming to him.”

Nice interview with ‘Smallville’s’ Justin Hartley! But man, no Chlollie? I was hoping for that. – LJ
To be fair, Justin didn’t completely rule out an Ollie-Chloe romance; he simply said nothing was on the books yet. In full, he told me he finds it “much more interesting for Oliver to have a relationship with a female that’s platonic; that doesn’t happen to him. Or, I’d like to see him stumble on [new romance] and not know how to handle that.” As for what if anything the writers decide to do with “Chlollie,” he said, “It will be good. I have total faith in them.”

The ‘Smallville’ executive producers have confirmed that Martian Manhunter (Phil Morris) is returning this season. When, and for how many episodes? – Graham
Those who are J’onzzing for the big guy’s return will want to make extra sure that they catch the Justice Society-centric two-parter airing in January. Martian Manhunter will play a role in “Society,” but really make his presence known in the “Legend” half.

Is ‘One Tree Hill’ planning anything special for its 150th episode? – Shailee
‘OTH’ will hit that milestone with this season’s 20th episode, but as of yet there are no specific celebration plans in place. So make your suggestions now! If you recall, ‘Tree Hill’ turned 100 with a Season 5 cliffhanger that featured Lucas and Lindsey’s non-wedding and nanny Carrie’s kidnapping of wee Jamie. How does one top that?

Ah yes, Connie mentioned something about a location shoot during our Season 3 preview Q&A. “Julie is looking for colleges this year,” she said, “so we’re about to shoot an episode in Boston, where we do a college tour.” Poor Syracuse University never gets any love.

Those hoping for a Jane-Lisbon hookup will have to be patient, because for the time being the hit drama’s only romantic entanglement involves Rigsby and Van Pelt and their struggle to keep their relationship a secret from the rest of the team. And yes, Episode 9 is not to be missed, but no one’s talking about why. Instead, I am simply hearing that it will change things for the CBI team forever. [Cue thunderclap.]

No psychic powers needed here: ABC is not granting the freshman series a full-season pick-up, so ‘Eastwick’ will not-so-magically disappear after its 13th episode airs. This being the modern, Internetty age, there is both a Twitter campaign and an online petition going around to keep the witches brewing.

With Locklear’s arrival now just a week away, I can reveal that Amanda is going to be in hot pursuit of… ex-lover Michael’s son David. But no, not necessarily to bed him. “She wants something that Sydney had in her possession when she died,” Shaun Sipos shares. And amazingly, David’s no pushover for Ms. Woodward’s considerable charms. Eastwick - Cancelled, The Forgotten Extended

ABC has cancelled Eastwick.

ABC has picked up five more episodes of its Tuesday night crime drama "The Forgotten" and has decided against ordering additional episodes of Wednesday's "Eastwick."

However, executive producer/showrunner Luke Reiter is not expected to continue with "Forgotten."

The Christian Slater procedural has been the stronger of the pair, both of which are produced by Warner Bros. and air at 10 p.m. "Eastwick" will finish production on 13 episodes; ABC plans to run them all.

In addition, ABC is yanking the planned upcoming debut of the FremantleMedia reality show "Let's Dance."

The network recently said that "Dance," set to feature celebrities re-creating famous dance routines, would debut Nov. 23 with host Kathy Griffin. Sources said the network had difficulty casting the series, which is a common problem for networks when developing celebrity-driven reality fare, though usually such projects don't get so far in the process as to have a premiere date.

ABC instead intends to air RDF's "Find My Family," on which people get to meet long-lost families or loved ones. The network has six episodes planned.

Just in case you haven't jumped on the Eastwick bandwagon yet, this week is the perfect opportunity. Executive producer Maggie Friedman says the Halloween episode is a great time to catch up: "You won't feel lost."

Unfortunately, an Eastwick resident will be lost in this week's episode. Roxie (Rebecca Romijn) previously prophesized the death of someone close to her, but who's actually in the coffin? Friedman drops a few hints on that, tells us what happens when the Kat-Joanna-Will love triangle comes to a head and what Jerry O'Connell will be doing when he drops by the town of Eastwick.

TVGuide.com: What can you tell us about the Halloween episode?
Maggie Friedman: I am so proud of our Halloween episode. I think it's an incredible ride — multiple characters in life-threatening situations, love triangles, friendships being tested, lots of action, suspense, magic, surprises, crazy plot twists and loads of Halloween fun. It's for sure our best episode yet, and a great one to start watching if you've never seen the show before.

TVGuide.com: Any hints you can give about that funeral Roxie keeps dreaming about?
Friedman: It's someone very close to her — someone she loves. She will spend the Halloween episode trying to figure out who is going to die, and trying to stop it from happening. But can she change fate? That is the question!

TVGuide.com: What other powers will we discover in the ladies?
Friedman: This week Joanna [Lindsay Price] will be placed in a dangerous and exciting circumstance, her very life will be threatened, and through this she will discover a power she had no idea she possessed. In future episodes, all of our ladies will be expanding their powers into new and surprising realms! We're about to get very, very magical.

TVGuide.com: How will the love triangle between Kat (Jaime Ray Newman), Joanna and Will (Johann Urb) play out?
Friedman: Well, you'll have to tune in to find out, but I will say this: When Joanna finds out about Kat and Will, their friendship will be severely tested. It's a very juicy episode with a lot of conflict between the women.

TVGuide.com: Is Jerry O'Connell's character good or evil? What other details can you share?
Friedman: I don't want to ruin too much about Jerry's storyline, but I will say this: He is a good man hiding a horrible secret. He's a single father, a widow, with a young son who is a part of this secret. Kat will be drawn to him, and she will be put in danger as a result.

Eastwick: The witches' new mystery man is very bad

TVGuide.com: What do you want to say to people who haven't seen the show yet? Why should they watch?
Friedman: Well, I'm biased, but I love our show. I'm very proud of it and I think people should watch because we've got it all. It's a very funny, very sexy show, with lots of suspense and surprises, and we have an incredible cast. Great cliff-hangers and ongoing stories, and yet each episode is different. The supernatural element keeps growing every week, and it works on multiple levels — there literally is magic happening on the show, but it's also a metaphor for these characters' lives, which I think are very rich and relatable. Also, we just have so much fun making Eastwick and I think it shows.
