The Gift Economy is a powerful way of exchanging energy where we do what do best and love most and offer it to others without set cost, as a gift, and then they give their gifts back to us. Based on Sacred Economics by Charles Eisenstein, this method has the ability to change our economy as well as our individual lives.
In this experiential workshop we will explore the interpersonal skills and emotional awareness we need to live successfully in the gift economy. We will do exercises exploring what we want most to give and receive, looking at our blocks to giving and receiving, and asking, saying yes and no (and hearing yes and no) with enthusiasm and grace.      There will be a brief teaching before we begin for first timers. During the practice of transfiguration, you allow your body and thoughts to dissolve until you are just spiritual light. From this place of radiance, healing with spiritual light for self and others is amplified as the group transfigures as one.
     Please bring a small 4 oz jar of water or a small sealed bag of soil to put on the altar. The water and soil will be transfigured. I will explain more as we prepare for the ceremony.
     Following the Ceremony we will flow into personal and group journey work.

     On Sunday, June 3, visitors from Eugene’s sister city, Kathmandu, who are goodwill ambassadors for Nepal’s chapter of World Without Anger, will be in Eugene to present a certificate of thanks to Dean Van Leuven, founder of the World Emotional Literacy League based in Eugene, and to Center for Spiritual Living, Eugene, for its support. The presentation will take place at 12:30pm, and will include a slide show and discussion of the work that is currently taking place in Nepal to promote emotional wellness.
     Van Leuven has worked to develop programs that allow individuals to effectively understand and manage their own behavior. Through World Without Anger they are shown how to make changes in their beliefs and emotional responses. The organization has developed a formal working relationship with Lumbini Buddhist University, and an informal working relationship with UNESCO. Through these partnerships, World Without Anger has been introduced to the schools in Nepal as well as in India, Pakistan, Florida with many requests in development from around the world.
