In pursuit of wanting to make a difference, it’s clear to me that many people today are seeking to establish their own bodies of work. The term frequently pops up in conversation and coaching sessions.
A Body of Work is what identifies our skills and uniquenesses, and shouts out what we are here for.

The need to find out what we can offer, is a learning experience that is incredibly insightful. It requires some tuning in – to our knowing, to the core of our being or wherever we get our information – to find what is newly emerging. Just a few words can encapsulate the essence of what we have to offer life. And from that we can construct a body of work that matches our natural inclinations.

This enquiry can be deeply searching. Often the old associations have to fall away first before the new awakening, the new body of work, can reveal itself. And yet to stand alone in one’s body of work is tremendously liberating and exciting – it literally pulls something from your core and demands the space for it to emerge in its fullness. And I’ve seen that the more permission we give to this process, without holding anything back, then the more we can stand in our true power and authority.

Discovering what you are called to do, might not be an overnight revelation. You do have to create it for yourself – it is yours to create and nobody can do that for you. You have to be persistent and say what you are standing for, and then make a start, rather than wait for the right moment or the right conditions. Everything will follow from that start. So I encourage persistent enquiry through your own writings, insights, and conversations with friends who really do get you.

Generally, your body of work is built around your interests and passions.

There are 4 areas of interest that form my current body of work. They are  -

• sourcing physicality (sourcing total physical awareness)
• exploring immortality
• discovering the power of expression through voice
• creating magical reality

Through these interests, I delight in rediscovering myself: I am a Pioneering Innovator, Knowledge Creator, and Enlivener of Awe and Wonder (amongst others). I came across these descriptions as I signed up for virtual Martian citizenship, on the NASA Mars Exploration Program website, and they fit me perfectly. But they don’t define or limit me or give me an identity – they are just fun labels.

Who I am and what I do today may shift over the next few months, so I’m attentive to what is changing and I allow the shifts to take place gradually, gracefully. I’m aware of what I choose to embody, because I know that my effect upon life doesn’t stop with me – it touches everything.

Design of Life

It’s essential to see what roles we are wanting to play; essential to explore our views about life and the contributions that we are wanting to make. I believe that our bodies of work should reflect our uniqueness and always be changing – that we grow new designs for life and new possibilities to live into.

I’m growing something and I’m not sure yet what it will look like. What I do know is that I’m in a creative space, like an explorer standing on the threshold of a new world where nobody has been before. And my actions grow the possibilities for life to flourish fantastically wildly, as if I was the water of life and the seed sower of visions and dreams.

I love what is already here. How could I not? How could I deny the design of Life, with all it’s flourishes and abundance, with all it’s mysteries and subtleties? How could I dismiss those touches that I’ve added myself?

In my design of life, I illuminate the most precious aspects of what might otherwise be passed over and missed. I call attention to the beautiful and the awe-inspiring, the obvious and yet miraculous. What I see unfolding in us is a desire to grow and be revealed.

Life beckons – that I stand in the glory of what I am experiencing and that I share my experiences.

When I was much younger, I didn’t have a relationship with Life; didn’t know what I had to offer; didn’t know that I had unrealised potential. But a new design grew in me – for a deeper truer me to emerge – so that I could get a better sense of what’s real and what I want to live and what wants to live through me.

In my view, you’ve got to grow yourself as Conscious Living Art – understanding the nature of what you are growing and encouraging this growth through your entire life.

There is a new design for Life …  emerging right now … do you feel it?

Originally, I conceived the Magical Apprentice to be a 3 day programme, in which I would share my specialist skills/knowledge, but now I am also envisioning an advanced 3 day experience.

I set out a series of topics that I knew would be useful as a starting point  -

• Opening to Power
• Energetic Mastery
• Transformative Touch
• Evocative Voice
• Visionary Awareness
• Sourcing the Magical & the Miraculous
• Physical Authorship
• Knowing the Game

but when my first apprentice came along, all the step-by-step planning went out the window. As soon as we put down on paper all the points that were the most important to cover, then it became obvious that the programme was really  -

• to uncover the nature and essence of the apprentice
• to discover the natural skills of the apprentice and the best ways of employing those skills
• to assisting the apprentice in applying magical creation to their ongoing real-life situations
• to encourage the apprentice to develop their own body of work

Here is how one apprentice has described the experience -

“It feels like being on the Control Deck of the Starship Enterprise.”

Everything is examined and explained, so that the apprentice is fully aware of who they are and what they are here to do. We cover everyday situations – but done from a vast expansive level. As one apprentice said, “It’s Cosmic and energetic but extremely practical. It’s out there but it’s also here, and not separate from. You get to see things on all levels.”

When an apprentice sets out their intentions, I ask them to be mindful that they are not being taught anything but rather they are being shown how to develop their own body of work. We look at a variety of situations that help the apprentice to gain perspective and the insight/confidence to source magic in their life. The emphasis on all things magical is important, because it helps -

• to introduce lightness in all that we do
• to keep things fresh and exciting
• to see the most amazing and unexpected possibilities develop
• to have creative purpose that magically uplifts and enhances the lives of others

Unsurprisingly, a Magical Apprentice is self-selecting and committed to energetic mastery and magical living. Here is what Dorothee said, after completing the first day of her 3 day Magical Apprentice programme.

“On the way home I thought if I were to say just one thing about working with you, it would be that one can take you by every sentence, every word, every letter, every ‘promise about magics’ that you make. And it will happen! For me this has even been far, far bigger, for I knew that others can know, believe in what you say, and thereby make it happen. I wasn’t sure for myself whether I can enter this space. But it happened for me!“

I let myself imagine. What if?  What if our physicality really does resemble, in a remarkable way, the design of the Cosmos? What if the Cosmos, as a sentient force, has the capability to intelligently resolve itself to our Cosmic interaction with it?

Over the past couple of months, I’ve completely let go of living as a human being, with all that that represents. I’ve relinquished that way of knowing myself because I’m far more comfortable living as a Cosmic Being. As a Cosmic Being I can live vast, feeling that all my senses are employed: my consciousness is the Cosmos, no longer confined to a physical body. As soon as I felt the possibility of fully living that in a physical as well as an energetic way, a great relief went through me – I didn’t have to be lesser, I could own now what I knew to be true.

My energetic body is also the Cosmos and I have just managed this year to align my normal way of life to a vast space of possibility not entrapped by human being thinking.

It prompts me to ask – how do you know yourself? What is it that you are living? Is it a role or fixed pattern of possibilities that you had no hand in creating? How do you choose the most appropriate life experience that doesn’t confine you in any way but gives you an extraordinary glimpse into profound newness where you have never been before?

Your answers may surprise you.

These images are not from the TV series but they correspond to what was shown. This Cosmic panorama suggests that what we see (what we observe about anything) is subject to our interpretation of what we can discern, based upon past experience.

But look closely. What do you really see? What is new to you? What feelings arise from seeing these pictures? Do you sense too that there is a great ordering throughout the Cosmos – and that the ordering has very much to do with what we are willing to develop in ourselves?

Our vision cannot be limited to what we see around us, whether that be a planet or a Cosmos, and our influence cannot be contained by where we think we are and what we think we are doing. We need to dream wild, to imagine newly. We must go beyond perceptions, beyond learnings, to create experiences that will amaze and astound us. Our thinking is no longer human personal – it is of Cosmic origin where we all understand everything as it is being created.

We are shaping the whole of the Cosmic experience. For are we not timeless Cosmic Beings exploring and creating new experiences beyond human perception of what is possible and doable?

Lucy, a 13 year old, came to visit and bemoaned that her sunflowers had wilted and died. Did you water them, I asked? I didn’t think you needed to, she replied.

Over the years, I’ve taught myself how to look after plants and find out what they need in order to grow well. I’ve seen that to get best results you need to tune into them and encourage their growth, rather than just leave them and hope they will make it by themselves.

To me, the care of anything is about providing the optimum growing space and sustenance for it.

Several people have asked me recently how they can sustain their energy (and their expanded sense of self) after a teleclass, workshop or coaching session with me. My answer is invariably the same – you claim your authority to be here, you apply your energy to the life that you wish to live, and then you walk in the power of your authority. That simple advice works well, just like watering plants that are in need of a pick-up. But now I’m showing people how to create and maintain the space for their growth and their world/cosmic visions – and that requires something special.

I’m writing about a creative space experience in which fantastically brilliant, magical possibilities emerge.

It requires special attention. Each of us have specialities that need to be recognised, owned and put into action. For example, my friend Liz came to do a workshop and we discovered that she is a natural cosmic designer, a term that suited her well and gave her permission to own her flamboyancy. She loves design work, so we looked at practical ways for her to develop a life design consultancy practice.

First, she stepped fully into her new role and engaged the vastness of her energy field. She learned what it is to be a cosmic being: to feel and embrace the extensiveness of what she was stepping into;  to see that her thinking now had more perspective; that she had a richer context for her life.

Then she discovered the nature of her work – to help people design a new way of being. So she energetically redesigned her own life experience to match her cosmic identity. As a cosmic designer she could drop her human facade of being small and unsure, in order to take on a role that had bigger energetic possibilities, where she no longer reacted to situations because now she could design her experiences according to how she wanted to live them.

Yes, I enjoy working with people to have them discover  the qualities of living that they really wish to experience. That is so different from experiencing life in the same way over and over again. There is a conscious need to design exciting, fresh, and original creations. To nurture ourselves by using our energies to their fullest, for whatever body of work we are engaged in growing. And to realise that we are cosmic beings engaged on a redesign of life.

This is a time for creative cosmic gardening. You just don’t know what’s ready to emerge in your growing space.

That’s such an obvious statement. You feel that you know what it means and yet you also realise that it says very little. There’s such a big wide-open space waiting, calling for your skill and understanding to land the latest spark of genius in it. That spark is mighty tricky. It hovers at the edge of recognition and then winks out again, compelling you to retrace your steps to find other words, other concepts that better fit your inspiration of what you want to say.

And there is so much to say about energy and the experience of embodying our power. Our power though is not based solely around a sensitivity to energy. To feel energy, to experience vitality, is only one way to talk about embodiment. Embodiment is about decision making, intelligence, physical relatedness, collective consciousness, and our understanding of what it is to be here. We need to take charge of and be responsible for everything that we are about. Decide what we are here for and then embody that in a powerful way.

Conscious embodiment allows us to let go of personal roles and a conformity to what doesn’t apply to us: it allows us to create ourselves newly. Questions such as  “Who am I?” become completely irrelevant. “Who am I?“  is often echoed when people transition through an energy shift or are not clear on how to remake their lives. Here is what I offered to my beautiful friend Lisbeth, when she asked for advice on how she could understand herself better.

An even better question, I said to her, is “What level of work should I focus on next?“.  For it’s really a matter of choosing something that’s important to you and then getting on with it.

So my advice is  -

1. Know that you are incredibly gifted in sensing and relating to energy, in ways that can benefit others.
2. Feel that energy inside you all the time, able to be utilised at a moment’s notice.
3. Find a focus for that energy on a daily basis.
4. See that you are a front-runner of energetic mastery for a whole new generation of people, coming awake to themselves and their place in the world.
5. Weave the power of that knowing into everything that you do.
6. Each day wake up to yourself as a new expression of all that you stand for.
7. Love who you are being in every possible way; align the whole of your life with your power; and glorify everyone that you meet – simply by being you.

As you read this, you will of course have your own ideas of what it is to embody power. You might pick over the words but you’ll have some general direction of where to take all of this.

It’s important to me that we lead our lives in an energetically masterful way, doing whatever is appropriate in alignment with the feelings that are evoked in us. But I’ve come to see that the knowing of what we stand for and the declaration of what we embody, is always there, whether we feel the energy of it or not. So I have to revise my opening statement to take account of that.

Once you have the energy for / of something then you literally know all there is to know about it, either because you are sourcing the intelligence of it or because you have an intimate relationship with energy. But also, once you make a declaration of what you wish to embody then you are the living embodiment of that, even when you can no longer feel the initial surges of what you thought would stay in place forever. What does stay is the commitment for being brilliant and the ability to know that whatever happens – however things look – you are the power of it in action, and therefore you get the say in how it all turns out.

I’ve noticed over the past few months a growing desire for dancing, my body suggesting that it likes to explore rhythm and movement. So Soleira and I signed up for Salsa lessons, and I practice away early in the morning and  just before bed.

Fun is sure on my mind. Let’s have fun. At the end of a recent teleclass, I was impelled to tell someone to get out onto the streets and have a party. You know, along the lines of the T-Mobile ads, where a big group of people spontaneously (orchestrated) burst into action. [see below]

A summer of fun is definitely brewing and now … here is my contribution to edge it along. So sing along in your best disco party voice, and see if you have the energy to jiggle for several rounds of it.

I don’t know what he did at the end of that song but it went right through me.”

That’s how I feel about our use of voice.

Why waste our breath, except to summon the most brilliant and moving feelings to come from the core of our being? – and to cause this response from those who listen to us.

Why speak, unless we wish to sense golden notes dancing in the air?

Why have a voice, unless it’s to explore and express the music that we hear through every part of us?

As I scribble these thoughts, I strive to understand more of what really happens when we tell a story.

Magic happens. I slip into the moment of connection and feel strong and powerful, unaware of thoughts, but aware of movement. I listen to that which has no language for my ears to decipher but yet I am able to discern the subtleties of the energy. It waits for me and I am ready to begin.

It seems to me that I’m not trying to do something. Rather I’m growing an awareness of what’s possible. An awareness of what is in me right now. An awareness of communing with more of life, simply from the intention of communing.

People talk about coming from the heart, yet this connection (of communing with life) takes place at an undefined space that has an undetermined dimensionality. In fact, through my experiences of singing, the richness of sound that can be produced depends on how relaxed you can be about giving yourself totally to the singing experience. So the whole of you is engaged.

The first notes come …  announcing a story that ripples the field of consciousness, engaging the sensitivity of those who also know how to commune. And for those who hear the musical notes directly, they will also be touched by the power of the emotion of their own stories.

I got a number of things from watching the series.

That our concept of life (and the intelligence that we assign it) must continue to expand, so that we always get the biggest picture of what we’re seeing and continually grow our understanding.

Interestingly, the last programme focuses on the search for alien life. Surely a cosmic joke. Professor Cox earnestly talks about making contact beyond this world and yet the series repeatedly asserts that what we find ‘out there’ can also be found right here, on our own world. Alien life is all around us. In fact the elements that compose our bodies originate from stars. It’s the definition of alien that hinders a clear understanding of what’s already here – of who we really are. For really there is nothing alien at all – just a perspective of whatever we haven’t yet experienced or been in relationship with.

Our relationship with our environment determines our course of action and affects our view of what’s occurring worldwide (and beyond) .

The series shows some marvellous footage of one of Io’s volcanoes, where volcanic debris explodes from the moon’s surface up to a height of 500km. Io is one of Jupiter’s moons and subject to vast gravitational pulls, both from Jupiter and from neighbouring moons. But Earth too has it’s share of spectacular outages – whether natural, as with the recent Icelandic eruption, or human folly, as with the BP oil spill. The scope of these events focuses our attention on the actions that we adopt in order to adapt.

It occurs to me that we need a world committee to take effective action on anything that has global impact. And that action needs to be energetic and conscious, rather than a knee-jerk unconscious response from a company or country trying to put things right.

It’s time to engage a cosmic perspective – that we are all totally responsible for living here. That our actions must be those of a unified race,

• whose combined initiatives keep the global eco-system in balance,
• whose actions are for the good of all and
• whose visions extend beyond the present moment to encompass our collective future, where prosperity is not counted in coin but is the management of all our resources.

Therefore, we would never see waste or mismanagement, for what arises from us is the authorship of world management.

When we know that our actions are part of a unified plan that calls us to interact on every level with every being, then we are in a profound relationship with all life. We cannot be individually separate from others in our thinking (and treat them as alien) because what wants to emerge is something so strong and powerful and totally embracing of all forms of life, that we are collectively forever changed.

So look again at the image of Io’s volcano and imagine the power of new life bursting its way through the undergrowth of obscure thinking, allowing us to voice a clear understanding of why we are here – in this world, in this Cosmos – understanding what we are being shown.

The need to be imaginative is paramount, for imaginative enquiry sparks our exploration of everything.

A couple of decades or so ago, it was commonly believed that all the great discoveries had been made and that there was really nothing new to know. The mindset of established academic authority required empirical proof  for anything to exist and so there were self imposed limitations on what was deemed real and accessible – on what was permitted to exist. The world of energy sensitivity was only just beginning to be explored by ordinary people … holding a possibility that there might be something more than the 5 known senses.

Nowadays it’s easier to be spontaneous and live in a world of energy awareness; to discover what inspires and excites us; to engage our creativity; and to question/examine/ponder anything and everything. The Internet has made it easy to access information and parade new discoveries. It’s allowed us to communicate globally, on a scale previously unimagined. So now we realise that we are only at the beginning of our enquiries about what truly exists in the vastness of the Cosmos. And we do that with the knowing that nothing is fixed anymore … that whatever we thought was true is already changing.

This TV series affirms our immortality. It suggests that we can rewrite what it is to be human, what it is to live. That we can imagine that life exists elsewhere and that it’s intelligence is something that we might have to align to in order to communicate with it and understand it.

We can imagine that the atmosphere found on Titan, Saturn’s largest moon, even though composed mainly of nitrogen and methane, is capable of supporting some form of life, whose nature we have yet to establish.

And we can imagine that, if bacteria can survive for millions of years beneath an Antarctic glacier, then the ice cap of Europa may contain viable living micro organisms. The nature of life, the conditions for life to flourish, and the longevity of organic life is suddenly thrown wide open.

Our power to imagine holds the key to our immortality, for we are not compelled to deal with the advice of others telling us what is possible and what we can do with our lives. We have discovered self-reliance and are now moving towards a conscious alliance with all of life.

I look again at that picture of Io’s volcanic eruption and I’m reminded of oil gushing from a well. It is a silent call to action. So I acknowledge the irony of what I see and I align with what life asks me to do. I participate. I join in the dance of the BP oil spill and whisper to all the life in the oceans that we not view this incident as an incapacitance but that marine life can utilise this abundance. I call upon the micro organisms to play their part in breaking up the oil slick; I call upon the technology to seal off this spillage; and I call upon the need for us all to work together in overseeing what is to be done now.

It has been said many times that we are one world, one life, one collaboration. Now we need to implement the actual performance of that in everything that we do, because until we do so then we will fail to feel our interconnectedness and will only perceive the apparent destruction rather than see the infinite beauty.

The infinite beauty spans the Cosmos because it all fits together as One.

Yes, it’s been an interesting week of some amazing highs and some intense energy hits. And weaved around the experiences in there have been some incredible conversations about the nature of being. It’s easy to know that we are amazing powerful beings but (from a human perspective) that has to be backed up by our experiences of living that: not wishes, dreams or desires, but the living actuality that we are who we claim we are, right here and right now. Having ‘control’ of our life.

Sometimes that can be tricky trying to substantiate, especially when the fantastic energy high of one day seemingly peters out during the night. So you have to figure out exactly what is changing, align with the change, and realise that your orientation makes the difference to your experience of being here. In any energy exchange, transformation takes place, so we can choose the story of what the transformation is all about.

So here’s my story about my June 4th experience. I had been reading Robert J. Sawyer’s fascinating book “Watch”, which deals with a blind girl who is given sight in her left eye through a retinal implant, and who is also then able to experience the digital data streams of the World Wide Web as an evolving intelligence.

As I interacted with the storyline, it occurred to me that I could consciously track multiple streams of information simultaneously. That is something that I know I do non-physically but it’s not been my conscious physical experience to date. So having had the thought of the possibility I went into the experience of the actuality. Ouch!! Overload!

Well it’s just my interpretation of an energy experience but it gave me insight into an exciting exploration of ‘what if’ possibilities. I know that we know how to be vastly expansive: that our singular experience of ourselves effectively rejoins with collective consciousness at some point in our knowing. We know that we live here on a planet in our human bodies but we also know that we live in the vastness of everything. So being here is not a statement of place but a confirmation of what is.

Anyway, just to reassure my friends who read this blog and think that they are sometimes losing it, here are some guidelines to help us enjoy “being here”  …

1. The most important thing is to enjoy the experience -
2. and remember that you/we create the experience -
3. so love what you create and choose only that which really calls to you.

‘Being Here’ is more than an earthly paradise that we’ve dreamed about inhabiting. ‘Being Here’ is an awareness of the Cosmos and our myriad relationships with it; an awareness of this planet and our myriad relationships created here, that births the consciousness of new possibilities; an awareness of our physicality and our myriad relationships with life.

‘Being Here’ requires us to pull upon more of our vastness, and implement strategies that bring greater vitality into being. When we feel that the vastness of ourselves is not present then we must know what that means; must understand what to do next; and must know that there is no separation – for separation is not who we are or what’s so.

We are required to create with power, dignity, and delicious care so that every being is welcomed by us in the time that we spend together here. ‘Being Here’ requires focus – but being here is everything. You can’t be an amazing being in this amazing place without giving it all that you’ve got – and knowing that there’s more to come!

Later, I realised there’s more that wants to be unfolded, and so here is this article.

First, I’ll mention what’s already known. There are many tonal languages, such as Vietnamese and Mandarin, where a change in tone changes the meaning of a word. Languages have so many rules that require us to perfect our listening and speaking skills, and cultivate a desire and passion for tuning in to what’s being pronounced. This is the side of language that we already familiar with. But from here on I’m going to write about less familiar territory.

I want to bring attention to the inherent music that’s in us and how we can shape our lives with it.

There is sound everywhere: echoing inside our bodies, thrumming in the air, resonating through the vastness of the cosmos: endless motion. As we idly listen, we can perceive structured rhythm and make sense of what we hear. How can we do that unless it’s a language that we are attuned to and already know?

Many people I have talked with say that expressing their real truth (their own music) is a difficult thing to do. It’s like asking them to connect to a part of themselves that they sense is there but to which (they will say) they have no access. Oh, that  the juiciness of life is so easily leached away through all sorts of rules and conditions that diminish originality, authenticity and radiant living.

So how can we connect to our whole being?

Well the following suggestions have worked well for many people.

1. Let go of all that you know and think that you know about yourself.
2. Stop trying … just that … stop trying.
3. Let go of all the questions that you want to ask.
4. Allow yourself to expand and fill the cosmos, both energetically and in consciousness.
5. Now enter into the state where time and space don’t exist.
6. Breathe deep and then hum, whistle, sing, tone, or make any sound at all that feels right.
7. In the play of listening to your sound, sense that you are it.
8. Continue to play until it dawns in you that you are the creative force. That you are shifting your physicality into alignment with your total being.

Drop any thoughts about trying to put the power of your feelings into existing words. Words will come as you allow your mouth to form the shape of each sound that presents itself. You feel into what wants to be sounded and you let it happen without any censure.

Forget about trying to put a meaning on what you wish to convey. The sounds will carry many meanings in textured overlays. For when you speak with your whole being, it’s as if you gather many energies together then provide an outlet for them.

As my good friend Jane says,
“All languages are spoken on many levels and layers, so we listen on many levels and layers. That is, we listen with all of us – our beingness if you like.”

One of the secrets to doing this well is to be in a state of total unconcern that you have nothing prepared. This allows you to bypass any preconceived thoughts and ready-made phrases that can detract from what really wants to be said.

Now when you go to speak, you are pushing yourself to allow the miraculous to be achieved.
