When Soleira visited Melbourne last year she brought back several beautiful pieces of magical enchantment, made by our friend Gayle Mainhardt.

Gayle creates wall hangings that depict Merlin, dragons, and other fantastical creatures. She makes dragon and phoenix brooches, and also works the designs on scarves and bags. Each piece is handmade and unique.

Gayle has just started up her own business called “Source Creations – Phoenix Rising”.

The Chinese New Year - The Year of the Dragon – is under way

Dragons are wonderful mystical creatures that seem to lurk in the shadows of our consciousness until we dare look them in the eyes and tell them that we are ready to play.

What you say? Play with dragons? Isn’t that like playing with fire? Well to answer that, it seems that dragons have many qualities and that there are many types of dragon. My friend Sue Couch tells me that this is the Year of the Water Dragon – one of the 9 major types of Chinese dragons.

But to get to know what dragons really mean to us, we must leave aside stories of tradition and speculation,  and be open to what we might say about these mythical, mystical, and magical creatures.

So let’s walk in unknown territory, with nothing to guide us except what we feel about the landscape through which we are walking, and allow ourselves to become dragons. Stop breathing the air for a moment, telling yourself with each breath that you are only a human. Be aware that you can take on any form that you choose and have any experience that you desire.

Reach into your deep knowing of what a dragon is – and  become it. Embody it. What do you notice? What is different? What are you so filled with, that you perhaps sit in silence for awhile, in order to appreciate the fullness of the moment?

Yes, this year is most definitely under way – and with every dragon breath that we take we can create the living reality of our world to be something super-special. Let this year be filled with exuberance, brilliance, mystery, colour, movement, jaw-dropping amazement and wondrous enchantment … and whatever else the dragon might whisper in your ear!

Just watched the thriller movie ‘Limitless‘ and was reminded of what it feels like when we don’t experience our fullness.

 
I’ve not had that feeling for years but I can speak from the experience of it, and, most importantly, know how to transition to the feeling of limitless.

In the movie there is a pill that allows anyone to utilise 100% of their brain. It energises the brain; heightens senses; increases awareness; accelerates the processing of information; and enables the usage of information in limitless ways. Initially, the hero is dependent on this pill to provide an altered brain state but at the end of the movie he retains his super- awareness without any need for the drug.

Many super-hero movies that have sprung up in recent years use such a theme to invite us to think the impossible: to consider that we have (at least access to) super-powers.

These super-powers are largely depicted as being beyond the reach of ‘ordinary’ people, until certain life-changing circumstances intervene.

Of course, it depends on what we classify as super-powers. It depends on what we think about ourselves and our ability to live limitless. Here is what Ann Douglas says about it -

Robert De Niro observes in the movie …  ”Your powers are a gift from God … or whoever wrote your life script.” So the life script or recipe or state of creative fullness that we develop for ourselves is how the limitless can manifest. A creative state is not born from limited thinking: it dances among our brain wave patterns and allows us to feel the exquisite rhythms of what moves in and out of our consciousness. And the gift is that we can make sense of all that feeling in whatever way we choose.

A state of feeling totally alive can colour everything in our reality. Experience comparitively less of that total feeling and we might think that there is something missing, but really it’s all here … the access to anything that we might possibly desire.

It’s not about having access to all the information we might need ~ it’s not about being a genius in using that information ~ it’s not about being connected to everything and forming new connections all the time, passing information along the super-highway of limitless consciousness.

It’s not about wishing we can teleport and then wondering why we aren’t doing that already, forgetting that we’ve used only a few senses to determine whether that has happened or not. Nor is it about super-powers and super-awareness.

The secret to being, feeling, living LIMITLESS is to know that we are already living this in some way. A deep centered knowingness that says it’s OK not to bother about whether we have total recall, or can levitate, or have the chemical formula to cure any disease. We just need to give free range to the impulses that tell us what wants to be lived right now – and that takes care of everything.

Perhaps the true test is whether we are comfortable in enjoying the limitless and able to function with a limitless capacity to understand (and celebrate) everything.

The Year of the Dragon – The Age of Dragons

The year 2012, according to the Chinese Zodiac calendar, is the year of the dragon. And in the Chinese Zodiac chart, the dragon is the only legendary creature represented.

Legendary is a key word. It speaks of timelessness and greatness. To think greatness, to breathe greatness, is to evoke greatness everywhere. Acknowledging this greatness stirs and awakens people to their dragon heritage.

The dragon is a symbol of magical power, a keeper of eternal and infinite wisdom, and that which help us to understand things beyond our current range of knowing.

Dragons are our access to the undefinable, the mysterious, the miraculous, the magical, the unseen, and the unknowable. All of which we can accept as true the moment we choose to surrender our personality and accept that we are a powerful force that operates beyond human concepts of time and space.

“What is it that you wish?”, the voice inside us says, “What is your vision of life?” And you smile, for you know that your every thought is a creation of immense power and profound movement. You contemplate your wishes and your visions, and you perceive that they are not personal but are created by all of us from a place of consensus and agreement.

We exist in this timelessness ~ in a fabulous realm of magical possibilities where we are constantly changing our ideas and concepts of what we wish to explore next. We are in an Age of discovering new possibilities. An Age where we live for one another in complete equality and acceptance of one another. An Age of deep and profound understanding that everything has its place. An Age of immeasurable flowering.

Just watch it all unfold and enjoy it. Just see what truly wants to be … and engage with that thread, that stream, that rhythm … that which beckons you to play in this Age of Greatness, this Dragon Age of all we wish to be.

There is such an exquisite feeling of energy in a real physical sense that’s wanting to be shared right now. I try to describe to myself what this … this feeling, this desiring … is all about. So I pull upon many things that I know to be true and want to take place in our physical experience. Many things want to be spoken about, as our expression of Life. But for now … the feeling is of Joy … and so I must speak of Joy.

The Joy cannot be divided into one moment more than another, for it simply follows on an unchartered course of ecstasy that you have no choice but to allow. And that is the real magic right there – you have no choice but to allow – to allow the full force of your joy, beyond measure, to flood through you in every conceivable way in every moment, even when you don’t notice it is there.

It’s been a long 3 months since I last posted on this blog. Not that I’ve been uninspired or too busy to write. It’s more like I’ve been living my life totally in the moment, without any way to compare it to how I’ve lived before, and without seeking to achieve anything – and that has allowed something to settle deeply into me.

I’m in a space of my creating where the landscape waits to be formed from my delight. I see that ecstasy and exhilaration are key – key for this growing force in me that is interested to see what I can do. As I acknowledge this, I feel that it’s time for me to write again, and my fingers nimbly race across the keyboard to send out this latest offering. I read it to Soleira two nights ago and she said that it was the best thing that she had ever heard. Perhaps you might agree …

This Tide of Life

What is it – this tide of Life that I experience? This rising tide whose every moment rushes into the next, explodes with ceaseless abandon, that I can no longer discern where one moment ends and another begins … for my life is so filled with IT.

And is IT joy that I feel? Some nameless rapture that says of every passing whisp and tendril of energy that it is glorious and not to be missed. That everything is perfect of itself and so I cannot care about what I wish to share – for you already feel it with me.

It is all truly shared, moment by moment.

Nothing has passed me by that did not want to be seen. I saw it all.

Saw that I had the language to describe the stars in their making; that I made the infinity of their purpose by the act of watching their birth -  a glimmer of light, an eruption of possible futures, and then I saw the experience for what I/IT wanted to share with me, seen by my eyes, recorded through my thoughts, gifted as an experience in the making, over and over again.

This rapturous applause of Life that we made – together, forever.

I have had this thought of writing a book about dragons for around 2 years now. A few weeks ago, I entered this phase of experiencing (what for me) are radical physical changes. I lost my senses of taste and smell temporarily, and began to see that I was growing myself in a new way.

It inspired the opening pages of this new book, entitled “The Way of Dragons”. Though I have no plot or structure for it, and the characters have yet to emerge, it does represent a fresh interpretation of life. A coming to terms with being born into physicality, after arriving from a place that has no name. Sound familiar to anyone?

Even if a few pages only are written, it is a joy to write them. So now, read on …

Last November (or thereabouts) I wrote some poetry that was not in my usual style – but something wanted to be written.

As I look at these gems again, I see that there is merit in what I wrote. And I hope that someone will feel touched by these leaves from a poet-tree, these stars in the Cosmic Sky that drifted down to Earth …

Greater Than One

Love is the movement of all hearts
and the quickness of all breaths,
to help remind you of the JOY
from lifting your inner eyes to unknown landscapes,
and hearing with unbidden senses what lies
in the Peace of your eternal vigilance.

And when you know this, your body burns
with the fire of passion that is unending,
even as your quest for journeying is eternal.

To share your life is to touch the essence of the substance
that you know is already you, is already us,
knowing that it is a thought that you share
for the sum of the parts is always One
though you will still endeavour to make it Greater Than ONE.

The Alchemy

You remember the nature of all things through the Alchemy.
The Alchemy of your knowing touch.
For when you remember how to touch, ever so lightly,
then the vibrations of the mixing and merging patterns
will murmur amongst themselves and speak to you,
that you can hear and be taught their language -
The Language of All Things -
that lies beneath the threshold
of what you call your life.

A Growing Desire

I have a Growing Desire, a need to be understood.
I would not tell everyone this, only I knew you would
get me completely, understand what I try to say,
when these faltering words that I utter
seem to go far astray.

I’m wondering what is the reason for the things I say and do,
for I care little about etiquette
and know you don’t too.

It’s trying to see the sense, and reason my life away,
that seems to cause patterns of chaos
and conflict every day.

What is this growing desire I ask
that makes me want to move
the whole of the grand scheme of things -
of things I did not choose.

Maybe, the desire is solely to shape it all my way
so that I can breathe more freely
and say what I want to say.

Meet Santomai Yan. Rather handsome fellow, isn’t he? He is me – or I should say he is one of my representatives in Hero of Three Kingdoms (HOTK), an Internet based mutilplayer game.

On first sight it feels like being in ‘Second Life’: you move with certain keys, you get to meet nice people, etc. But hang on, like many of the online games produced by Perfect World, this is all about ACTION and having ADVENTURES … “that transcend your imagination“.

I’m ready for my first quest but before I go, I will tell you something about this realm, so you might be tempted to create a character or two yourself and see what’s on offer.

This is one of several intricate fantasy worlds – as rich, varied and as inviting as Tolkien’s ‘Lord of the Rings’. You create your characters, send them on quests, give them attributes.

In HOTK there are 8 crafts that you may master. My favourite is the Enchanting skill. The description of it says that it’s used to reduce items to their basic elements, manipulating their essence to formulate mystical gems.

Well I already know a few things about working with essence, as I’m sure you do. But the game draws you in, as you realise that you have much to learn before you go off to fight a battle.

You see everything with wonder here, growing your knowledge of how things work, and gaining a sense of gameplay. And in these games there is everything to play for. But that’s how you live your life anyway – right?

And wait … I can recommend also that you have a look at Perfect World International Genesis. This realm is found at http://pwi.perfectworld.com/interstitial. There you will meet a class of character called The Mystic.

An intelligent and versatile protector of the planet, this poised magic-user absorbs surrounding energies and unleashes them in a manner to her liking, whether it be a warm, healing glow, or a vicious kinetic bolt.

Sure hope you take some time off from your day job to excite your imagination and explore new uncharted landscapes. Maybe I’ll see you in one of these memorable worlds someday!

Reality creation is such an interesting phenomenon. I recall (from when my years could still be counted in single digits) seeing an Agatha Christie movie that was really scary to me. Later that night, I woke from a nightmare in which I had replayed some of  the more grisly scenes. My mother explained that not all the stuff on TV was ‘real’, but back then there was no conversation about consciousness or reality creation, and nothing to help a child create their life as a magical being.

It’s taken many years to discover what is ‘real’ and true for me. I’m no longer automatically drawn into everybody’s picture of reality, seeking to find my part in it. I’ve learned that I can create a knowing of myself and others that is so real and tangible that it can affect the lived reality of every single being.

At first I tried holding a space for people to step into their greatness, then there was a seeing of them being their greatness, having them embody that greatness, engaging with their greatness, along with many other wonderful progressions.

But in the latest round of reality creation we are living in the fabric of greatness itself, creating our collective reality from here. It’s a space of brilliance and magnificence, where tremendous collective growth is achievable. And all it takes is to recognise that the world is already created that way. We can borrow from quantum theory and say that anything can be anything that you want to experience!

The real world is whatever we make of the information that we can sense. The reality is whatever we create/construct from the information that we access, evaluate, and consider to be useful. To quote from my friend, Jo Brill -

“The power to imagine is infinite. Each of us is capable of imagining the most amazing possibilities and potential. When we take a desire – a wish for something to be different and we connect to our imagining of what that would look like, we imaginate – we actually create it in consciousness. It is created. We imaginate with all of our cells and our being. We know that we have power beyond what has been scientifically proven. We imaginate and then we say that it is done.  It comes from a clear place within us. There is knowing. We imaginate with a clear and focused transmission.  When I notice or sense that  something is wanted, I take a moment to imaginate it into what it could be.”

Once you realise the simplicity of how things operate then you naturally move towards what really works for you. You discard anything than doesn’t accord with your desire to communicate and broadcast throughout creation. And, of course, Creation will be whatever we say it is!

Again from Jo -

“In each moment, each interaction is unique and to be created in that moment, so there is no ‘this is the way’ things are, as it is all totally created moment by moment. It is only what we are ‘used’ to that makes some reality seem more real than others.”

Time to take a moment to reflect what we learned from watching Neo operate in ‘The Matrix’.

You most definitely create your reality, and when you put yourself totally in your reality creation with full commitment (and all your superpowers) then you are an unstoppable force.

You are capable of being anything that you choose, at any level that you wish to operate.

When you are the collective force there is no ‘I’. There is perfection being made in its most beautiful forms in endless wonder. And WE ARE that endless wonder.
