is our next production on 16-19th March 2016.

Based on the characters and events in the first 9 chapters of Genesis, this is a musically masterful West End gem from the composer of Godspell and Wicked and the director of Les Miserables. From the Creation to the Great Flood, beauty and wonder run side by side with loss and heartache – as all come to understand what it means to be connected as family.

A workshop is being planned for September.

Auditions will be on Wednesday and Thursday, 14th and 15th October

A SMASHing evening

The talents of our young (and not so young) SMASHers were showcased in an evening of variety. Included were songs fom our/the shows, dances and monologues Friday and Saturday June 26th and 27th 2015 Solihull Methodist Church Hall, at 7.30 pm Over £1200 was raised in aid of EducAid Africa and The Way Ahead projects

The Wizard of Oz

Our March 2015 production was the RSC version of “The Wizard of Oz”.

Our audiences came with us over the rainbow, followed the yellow brick road and went off to see the Wizard. The show was performed at the Dovehouse Theatre from 18th-21st March 2015.

Our 2014 production was

Our audiences enjoyed this new adaptation of the classic family adventure story by Stiles and Drewe, particularly the clever comedy, soaring melodies and sword fights. It was performed at the Dovehouse Theatre from 2-5 April 2014.

Dovehouse Theatre, Langley School Arts Centre, Olton

Set in 1950s New York, Guys and Dolls follows gambler Sky Masterson in his plight to win the heart of Sergeant Sarah Brown from the Save A Soul Mission: is it only for a bet or has he really fallen in love?

His opponent Nathan Detroit (who is desperate to find a spot for his famous dice game) has been engaged to Adelaide for 14 years – the cause of her chronic cold. So, will Sarah ever curb Sky’s gambling and will Adelaide ever pin down Nathan?

I really enjoyed doing this show,
The cast was great, acting and singing too!
overall a brilliant performance!!!
My friend from the Royal Shakespear Company loved it,
She and her parents said it was really well presented and a lovely show to watch.
Thank you for making it possible for everyone to have a great time doing and watching the show.

Hi, i am really interested in taking part in this drama school, as soon as possible. My friend told me about SMASH as her brother came when he was our age. My friend and I would like to take part in the next performance (Seussical) if it’s not to late. Could you please forward me and more information on the times and costs please.

Thanks, Emily. Sorry you weren’t able to come to the audition, where we looked at the different characters in the show and listened to some of the music. We then improvised what the characters would think about the “court scene” where Horton the Elephant is being put on trial. We will make sure you receive by email the information we are sending out about the auditions on September 4th.
