‘New Moon’ Breaks ‘Harry Potter’ Record for Midnight Premiere Ticket Sales

Twilight sequel New Moon has broken the previously impressive midnight box office record of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Price, Summit Entertainment officials announced Friday. New Moon took in $26.3 million in midnight showing sales in the U.S. The Twilight sequel is projected to earn a whopping $100 million during the film’s opening weekend.

By contrast, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince took in $22.2 million in midnight screenings this part July. New Moon is now the all-time highest grossing film for midnight screenings in the U.S. We’re sure it won’t be the last record New Moon will make in ticket sales and overall profits.

Summit Entertainment also raked in an additional 1.3 million in ticket sales on Thursday with special screenings of Twilight in advance of the New Moon premiere.

The moral of the story is, make the Twilight fans happy and they’ll make your wallets happy too!

Carrie Prejean’s Brother Would Watch Her Sex Tapes

In what has got to be the grossest quote yet to come out of the whole Carrie Prejean sex tape scandal, her own brother, Billy Arnone, said he’d watch his sister in action if the tapes get published!

What the hell is wrong with this family? I mean, we get it, men like porn and they’ll watch just about anything with a naked woman in it. But admitting you’d watch your own sister in a sex tape is disgusting enough to make me throw up a little in my mouth. Yet, that’s exactly what he did, saying, “If they were put in front of me I’d probably watch it.”

Billy Arnone offered up this nasty bit of information in an interview with RadarOnline.com. Not only does he express his interest in incestuous porn viewing, he also pretty much throws his sister under the bus.

When asked if Carrie Prejean was indeed of legal age when she made the sex tapes and nude photos - as she has adamantly stated - he at first says she was “19 years old” before backtracking. “Or 17 years old,” he corrects himself. “Whatever, she was a teenager.” He admitted, however, he doesn’t see how Prejean can prove she was indeed a minor when she shot the videos.

If I were Carrie Prejean, I’d be disowning this weirdo pronto - and keeping the hell away from this pervert permanently.

Oprah Winfrey Announcement - The Show Will Not Go On

After weeks of speculation, Oprah Winfrey officially announced The Oprah Winfrey Show will go off the air in September, 2011. Oprah made the announcement Friday in a tearful statement at the end of her show.

“After much prayer and careful thought, I decided that next season, season 25, will be the last season,” Oprah said. “I love this show… This show has been my life and I love it enough to know when it’s time to say goodbye.”

Winfrey thanked her fans for their support over the last 25 years. “These years with you, our viewers, have enriched my life beyond measure… I want you all to know my relationship with you is one that I hold very dear.”

Oprah fans shouldn’t worry they won’t be seeing the talk show diva on TV again after next year. The mega-millionaire is currently working on the launch of the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), a joint venture with Discovery Communications. No doubt Oprah will be showing her face there probably as frequently as she does on the cover of O Magazine.

Miley Cyrus Tour Bus Crash Leaves One Dead

A terrible accident involving a Miley Cyrus tour bus has left one person dead and nine other passengers injured. The tour bus was transporting some of Miley Cyrus’ touring crew, but the singer herself was not aboard.

The fatal crash of the tour bus occurred early on Friday outside Richmond, Virginia. The bus was carrying members of Cyrus’ lighting crew, according to the Disney star’s manager. The bus reportedly drifted off the road this morning and overturned. One person, who may have been the bus driver, died at the scene. The other passengers reportedly suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The name of the deceased driver of the tour bus has not been released, nor have the names of any of the injured passengers. Reports suggest the bus driver may have had a heart attack before the bus slid off the road.

Miley Cyrus is scheduled to perform Sunday in Greensboro, North Carolina. The show will reportedly go on as planned.

Tila Tequila Ustream Video Naked Meltdown!

Former A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila star and model Tila Tequila has totally lost it! In a crazed frenzy, Tila Tequila appeared in a live video on Ustream this morning naked to vent about “woman beater” Shawne Merriman, her own personal hygiene and a host of other weird topics.

Seriously, this was some disturbing stuff. Not only did Tila Tequila sound like a maniac in her Ustream video, she demonstrated her insanity as well, reportedly removing a tampon on air and throwing in a bit of masturbation as well. The video, thankfully, has now been taken down, apparently by Tila Tequila herself.

“I am an angel,” Tequila proclaimed in her nude video vent session, “because I am here to save the world with my army.” Vaguely explaining why she was naked except for a shiny necklace, Tequila said, “I think a woman’s body is a beautiful thing… that’s why I’m a lesbian… I was born naked… anybody who is against that is gay and in denial.”

Okay, so anyone who doesn’t think it’s kosher to writhe around naked in live streaming videos on the Net is a repressed gay? Oh, and Tequila also wants everyone to know San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman is a “woman beater” and a drug abuser. Tequila is currently suing Merriman over an alleged domestic abuse incident in September.

Tequila’s lawyer, Cyrus Nownejad, responded his client’s naked video rant by telling TMZ.com he thinks the incident with Merriman “pushed her over the edge.” Nownejad also reportedly said he’s trying to figure out how to get Tequila some help, because there is obviously something seriously wrong with her.

Yeah, um, we’d say so…

Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson has been making the rounds on talk shows galore to promote the premiere of New Moon. Pattinson appeared on both the Today Show and Live with Regis and Kelly on Thursday to talk about the Twilight sequel and his own sudden fame.

In his apperance on the Today Show, Robert Pattinson joked about the massive amount of tabloid rumors he is constantly trying to fight off. Talking to Matt Lauer, Pattinson joked that apparently he’s been dating “literally nonstop” and humorously said, “I actually come up with these rumors about myself.”

When asked on Regis & Kelly what he thought girls find so alluring about vampires, the drama or the biting, Pattinson replied: “Yes. Just the biting.”

‘American Idol’ Winner Fantasia Barrino Steals Married Man

Former American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino is reportedly dating a married man! Fantasia reportedly met Antwaun Cook, a married father of two, at a T-mobile store in August. Not long after, Cook reportedly ditched his wife and kids to shack up with Barrino.

According to reports, 25-year-old Fantasia Barrino met 30-year-old Antwaun Cook, a former college football player, while he was working at a T-Mobile store in Charlotte, NC. The two reportedly had an instant connection. The problem was, Cook is married and has a 4-year-old and 1-year-old son with his wife.

That apparently didn’t put a stop to the romance, however. Cook has now allegedly dumped his wife and kids to move into Fantasia Barrino’s million dollar mansion in Charlotte. Even worse, Barrino has reportedly tattooed Antwaun’s last name on her shoulder. Talk about not classy!

Oh Fantasia, say it ain’t so!

Senator John Kerry’s Daughter Arrested on DUI Charges

Alexandra Forbes Kerry, daughter of Senator John Kerry, was arrested Thursday morning on suspicion of DUI. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Alexandra Kerry was pulled over for a traffic violation around 12:40 AM in Hollywood, CA.

Police performed a field sobriety test on Kerry after officers suspected she was under the influence. Kerry refused an alcohol screening test and was arrested. A blood test administered at the LAPD’s Hollywood station showed Kerry was barely over the legal limit for blood alcohol levels. The California legal level is .06 and Kerry registered at .08.

Kerry was released on $5,000 bail around 5:30 AM. A court date on the DUI charge is set for Dec. 10. Police have not released any further details about the arrest at this point.

Alexandra Forbes Kerry, a film director/producer is the oldest daughter of former Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry. We’re sure daddy is so NOT going to be pleased.

Nicole Richie Hospitalized with Pneumonia But Doing Well

Former Simple Life star Nicole Richie has checked into a Los Angeles hospital suffering from pneumonia after over a week of battling illness. The petite mother of two is reportedly doing fine though, according to her rep.

“Nicole has checked into Cedars-Sinai where she is being treated for pneumonia,” a rep for Richie tells X17. “She is doing well.” Richie has complained of being sick for over a week, posting on her Twitter feed Sunday: “ok cold, it’s been 6 days. Lets part ways graciously & keep it moving.”

28-year-old Nicole Richie appeared in court Monday afternoon with partner Joel Madden to receive approval for a restraining order against two paparazzi they claim have harassed them and endangered their children. The judge granted a three year restraining order against the celebrity photographers.

The Biggest Loser contestant Rebecca Meyer appeared on The Jay Leno Show Tuesday and dropped a bombshell. Meyer may have lost a lot of weight on The Biggest Loser before she was voted off, but she gained a boyfriend!

Turns out Rebecca Meyer is now dating fellow Biggest Loser contestant Daniel Wright, who was given a second chance on the show this year. We kind of saw that coming when she totally lost it the night Daniel was eliminated.

“Daniel was my best friend, is my best friend,” Meyer told Jay Leno, “and leaving the show we talked for like five, six-hour conversations and then, you know, he told me he had feelings.”

Looking like a movie star after her Biggest Loser makeover, Meyer said the two have a strong connection because they “have gone through the same thing. I mean, he’s gone through an even more intense version of it, and I fell in love with my best friend.”

Meyer and Wright aren’t the first couple to fall for each other because of The Biggest Loser. Former contestants Matt and Suzy Hoover met on the second season of Biggest Loser and married a year later. They now have two children.

We hope Rebecca and Daniel can find the same kind of happiness together!
