Well, I just finished up a chapter on website flipping scams in the updated version of Flip-That-Site, and I know that not every one of our readers can afford our products and eventually just try to do website flipping on their own &#8211; only to run into more problems. So, I decided that I would share the resources I found that I felt all of our readers should have to protect themselves when buying and selling websites on the internet.</p>
<p>As with any business sale you’re going to want to protect yourself in the process.  We highly suggest contacting a lawyer to draw up your contracts to protect not only yourself but also your buyer (We have to say this &#8211; &#8220;we are not lawyers and can not give you legal advice.&#8221;) Here’s a list of contracts you’ll want to have on hand as a website flipper.</p>

<h2>Top Three Website Marketplaces (Must Use)</h2>
<h3><a href="http://flippa.com" target="_blank">Flippa.com</a></h3>
<p>Used to be the Sitepoint Marketplace but is now Flippa.com &#8211; This is currently the #1 most active marketplace. Although, lots of controversy over switching names and drastic price increases have lead to a slow and steady decline in activity and listing quality. To their credit they are still seeing hundreds of thousands of dollars changing hands each week. I&#8217;ve sold websites for as much as $40,000 in this marketplace.</p>
<h3><a href="http://www.lazyrevenue.com/partners//idevaffiliate.php?id=133" target="_blank">WebsitePush.com</a></h3>
<p>The new cowboy in town! I use the term cowboy because they have come out with guns a blazin&#8217; &#8211; I&#8217;ve spoken with the founders of this site and they are working 14 hours a day improving their marketplace and driving traffic. Right now they are the <strong>least expensive option</strong> while still having a good chance at selling your site.</p>
<h3><a href="http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-special-offers-forum" target="_blank">WarriorForum.com</a> (WSO Area)</h3>
<p>This is the highest traffic place to sell your site and I recently sold one for $7,500 in this marketplace. This one has worked very well for me in the past and just about any website valued at $200 or higher will work. This one will cost you $20 for the listing and you will need to meet some basic forum posting requirements before being able to list.</p>
<h2>These Should Be Mentioned Too&#8230;</h2>
<h3><a href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=154972&amp;u=194961&amp;m=19623&amp;urllink=&amp;afftrack=" target="_blank">WebsiteBroker.com</a></h3>
<p>This site get&#8217;s some decent activity but their listings are expensive compared to how much more activity the top 3 marketplaces are getting. They have some great resources for website flippers and website buyers as well. If you&#8217;re selling a site for more than $1,000 and not listing it here you are making a mistake. This marketplace owns the #1 rankings in Google for almost every website for sale keyword you can think of which means buyers passing through from search traffic.</p>
<h3><a href="http://www.webmaster-talk.com/" target="_blank">Webmaster-Talk.com</a></h3>
<p>Ton&#8217;s of traffic plus it’s FREE! However, your listings are mostly auction style here and there is no real “BIN” (Buy It Now) button like in other marketplaces. Yes it get&#8217;s lots of traffic but it&#8217;s website sales area is lacking and action is low &#8211; Good thing it&#8217;s still free! Did we mention this one is free?</p>
<h3><a href="http://www.websiteauctionhub.com/" target="_blank">WebsiteAuctionHub.com</a></h3>
<p>I have used this one successfully in the past, but it&#8217;s no where near the top three in successful sales. It’s much better for either really low priced sites or websites that are already earning a monthly income of $1,000 or more. Mid-level sites for a couple hundred dollars with no revenue rarely sell here.</p>
<h3><a href="http://www.buysellwebsite.com/" target="_blank">BuySellWebsite.com</a></h3>
<p>This one is not good for selling websites that are not already making money. However, most of the sellers in here are way overpricing their websites so if you have a site already making money and charge 7x to 10x monthly revenue you should be able to outsell the competing listings.</p>

<p>These are the horror stories I hear people mentioning when PPC is talked about in the marketing/webmaster forums. Which kind of weirds me out because PPC is one of my favorite ways to spend money.</p>
<p>Like I would literally prefer to spend money on PPC over buying some new fun &#8220;man toy&#8221; or tech gadget.</p>
<p>So I got to thinking&#8230; carefully so I didn&#8217;t hurt myself <img src='http://sitefling.com/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Why do my friends and I love PPC soooooo much but this other huge section of the IM world runs screaming the other direction?</p>
<h3>Who&#8217;s Making PPC So Scary?</h3>
<p>Well, my favorite and everyone&#8217;s favorite group to point a finger at is the &#8220;Guru&#8217;s!&#8221;</p>
<p>And they are partly at fault with their  ridiculous &#8220;You can make $50,000 a day with PPC&#8230; Just set your daily budget to $500/day&#8230; And bid on this ultra tough keyword&#8221;</p>
<p>Uhmmm&#8230; If I had $500/day when I first started using PPC, I WOULDN&#8217;T HAVE NEEDED TO USE PPC!</p>
<p>Most of us when we are just starting out online are fantasizing about $100/day or even just our FIRST SALE. To be told to have a $500/day budget on PPC is just straight up redonkulous.</p>
<p>So yes, some of the reason why rookies are so scared of PPC is because there is just some REALLY BAD courses for sale on the topic.</p>
<h3>1-800-Sav-A-Guru</h3>
<p>To their defense they really aren&#8217;t trying to target the &#8220;rookie&#8221; with their salesletters. Some of them definitely are and should be tarred and feathered. However, the good guys who are selling courses about PPC are targetting established business owners who want to learn and exploit a new marketing channel.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s kind of like the Dolphins that get caught up in the Tuna nets. The Tuna guys aren&#8217;t trying to catch the Dolphins but they get caught up in the dragnet.</p>
<p>AGAIN&#8230; Some guys are evil and purposely say things like &#8220;even a beginner&#8221; can do it. But a lot of the time it&#8217;s just the rookie seeing the big numbers and chasing a dream. Shame on the irresponsible guru and shame on the unrealistic rookie.</p>
<h3>Who Else Is At Fault?</h3>
<p>Dare I say it&#8230; GOOGLE!</p>
<p>OMG now I&#8217;m going to have my house broken into by the Google samurai ninja hitmen in the middle of the night&#8230; It was nice knowing you!</p>
<p>It&#8217;s true though and you really can&#8217;t blame them or be mad at them. They are running a business and Adwords is their biggest profit center. Sure they are going to teach you how to use it, even for free. However, you better bet your ass that they are going to teach you how to spend the most money in the quickest way possible!</p>
<p>Mr. Goog surely ain&#8217;t going to tell you to put up a $2/day budget cap, target only 3-5 keywords, and put the price of your product in your ad.</p>
<p>Because if they told everyone that then they wouldn&#8217;t be so dang rich!</p>
<p>However, I CAN TELL YOU THAT because I don&#8217;t have a vested interest in how much you spend. My vested interest is that your PUT DOLLARS IN <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>YOUR</strong></span> POCKET.</p>
<p>Because when I teach you something and you make some money off of it then you&#8217;re prolly going to buy something off me, tell someone about me, or even just think I&#8217;m a pretty cool guy. That&#8217;s my secret, the bag is out of the cat&#8230; ermmm&#8230; maybe it&#8217;s the cat is out of the bag? <img src='http://sitefling.com/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<h3>7 Steps To Making PPC Work For You</h3>
<ol>
<li>Set a super low daily budget that you can afford. I started out with just $2/day and you can go even lower than that if you want.</li>
<li><a title="This Tool Tells You Click Costs &amp; More" href="http://sitefling.com/keywordcost-tool.html" target="_blank">Research the cost of keywords</a> before you make your campaigns so you can start with just the cheapest ones and work your way up AFTER YOUR MAKING SALES!</li>
<li>Don&#8217;t try to get lots of traffic&#8230; Traffic sucks&#8230; Sales is what you want&#8230; LOTS OF SALES! So put the price of your product or the product you are promoting in your ad. This will slow down the clicks and make sure people that DO CLICK are already ok with the price.</li>
<li>Target only product names &#8211; People are 10x more likely to buy something when they are typing in the actual name of a product or model #</li>
<li>Don&#8217;t use lots of keywords &#8211; Start out with just a handful that you can manage and that are cost effective.</li>
<li>Don&#8217;t target the whole world with your ads. When I start a campaign I target just the U.S. to start out with and then when I see things working I slowly start adding more countries while watching my stats closely.</li>

<p>Regardless of the cost of your keywords or how awesome your keyword is there is still a general conversion rate to worry about.</p>
<p>WHOA&#8230; What?</p>
<p>Ok so a good salesletter will convert 1 out of every 30 &#8211; 50 clicks into a sale&#8230;</p>
<p>If you are paying $0.50 per click and need 30 clicks to get a sale that&#8217;s $15&#8230;</p>
<p>And if you only make $20 per sale then well that kinda sucks but at least that situation made you money&#8230;</p>
<p>What if you had to pay $1.00 per click&#8230; Now you lost money!</p>
<p>So when you target cheaper keywords like ones that cost you only $0.05 &#8211; $0.25 it means you can afford more clicks to make it to that sale. Sure that awesome keyword your buddy told you about might get lots of traffic but it might be too expensive.</p>
<p>Give yourself a fighting chance and <a title="This Tool Tells You Click Costs &amp; More" href="http://sitefling.com/keywordcost-tool.html" target="_blank">research your keywords costs</a> first!</p>
<p>If you <span style="text-decoration: line-through;">listen</span>&#8230; If you DO what I&#8217;ve said in this blog post then you can effectively put training wheels on your PPC marketing until you&#8217;ve found your balance and can start scaling out. As with anything I talk about on this blog it just doesn&#8217;t work if you just read it.</p>

<p>This little golden nugget work for CPA, Affiliate marketing, website flipping, info products, Adsense, offline, and anywhere else where you are selling something to an end user. Heck it even works in video game worlds!</p>
<p>Without further ado, here is the video where we explain the simple stratagem as well as answer lots of questions from the audience about making money online&#8230;</p>

<p>The method is simple, no matter what you want to sell you first have to know who you are selling too. Then you need to know whether they want what you are selling. If they do then you simple offer it at a fair price.</p>
<p>As it was taught to me years ago by Travis Sago, who said 1.) Find a type of fish you want to catch 2.) find out what type of bait that type of fish likes 3.) Put that bait on a hook and show it to that type of fish.</p>
<p>His metaphor basically meant that first you need to find a group of people. Meaning a niche market, then you need to find out what those people DESPERATELY WANT. Not what they need, not what they MIGHT want&#8230; But what they are desperate for&#8230; What has their hair on fire and what will put that fire out?</p>
<p>Once you find that, then you simply tell those people where to get it. Maybe you&#8217;re doing that with PPC ads or maybe through listbuilding or maybe you have your own clickbank product. Either way the lesson remains the same and if you apply it to everything you do in your marketing then you will always win.</p>
<p>As usual, this tip means nothing if all you do is read it. To turn this tip into dollars in your pocket you have to take action and action, no matter how big or small, builds confidence for more action.</p>

<p>What Dave is doing is one of the most noble things any of my friends are doing right now in fact probably the most noble thing anyone I&#8217;ve ever been able to call a friend has EVER done.</p>
<p>And what he&#8217;s saying is true, we can&#8217;t expect the <span id="more-903"></span>government to fix us. We can&#8217;t sit back and wait for them. WE built this nation, WE built the government, WE need to fix our economy and WE can do it if we become a WE and not a bunch of &#8220;I&#8217;s.&#8221;</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve had the pleasure of getting to know Dave on a business level and a personal level. We&#8217;ve eaten some of the worlds spiciest chicken wings together at Buffalo Wild Wings. We&#8217;ve debated UFC matches during pay per view fight nights at my house, and we&#8217;ve masterminded together about ways we can help more people that are living in these tent cities.</p>
<p>There are no hidden agenda&#8217;s, Dave just simply understands the basic human rule of giving to others and good things will be given to you in return.</p>
<p>There are not enough people in Dave&#8217;s position using their elite marketing powers for such great causes. I feel we should reward Dave for that, but what&#8217;s more important is that we reward those people living in the tent cities.</p>
<p>They are not traditional homeless people, they are our neighbors, cousins, and uncles. People that were trying their hardest to make things work but their worlds were turned upside down by the company they were working for going under or an injury.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m contributing by helping Dave build a video resume website for each tent city across America. Dave is leaving behind cameras for them to make video resumes and they&#8217;ll be posted on these websites for the world to see who these people are and how they can hire them.</p>
<p>Some of the guys in these tent cities are masters at their trade and willing to bust their butts for a job. Anyhow, I just had to post this on my blog to do my part in telling everyone I can about Dave&#8217;s movement.</p>

<p>Before we go any further you&#8217;ll need to <span id="more-897"></span>be a member of a CPA network. For example, NeverBlueAds, COPEAC, ClickBooth, AzoogleAds. <p>Normally, I don&#8217;t promote Clickbank products but this one promised 100% acceptance and that&#8217;s huge for anyone who&#8217;s ever tried. I talked with the owner of that course and I know the owner of the CPA network they are getting people accepted too&#8230; It&#8217;s all 100% legit and get&#8217;s my full endorsement because of it.</p>
<p>Just getting accepted is worth hundreds of dollars in my eyes because getting &#8220;IN&#8221; is the hard part. Once you are a member there are tons of methods and gobs of information about how to use them.</p>

<p>One of the hottest CPA marketing techniques is to build a salesletter that looks like a blog. It still has all the important elements in the same places like headline, personal triumph story, proof, testimonials, call to action, and answers to frequently asked questions.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">It&#8217;s been said that the best advertisements are those that don&#8217;t look like an advertisement. Which is exactly why these type of blogs work so well. There are sites like these in the make money online, weight loss, teeth whitening, and other niches.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">They work REALLY REALLY well at converting cold traffic, meaning people who have never met you before and found your site through some search engine or advertisement.</p>
<h2 style="text-align: left;">How To Make The Sites</h2>
<p style="text-align: left;">All of them have the same attributes like having someones name in the domain followed by the topic followed by the word blog. For example: justinstomatoblog.com</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">On the page they tell a story and show lots of proof about how they accomplished success in their topic and then they drop a link to the CPA offers that helped them. Are the stories real? I don&#8217;t know</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Should you go around the net making up fake stories? Hell no!</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Russell Brunson, my mentor, made one of these sites from my story talking about my success. He didn&#8217;t need to lie to make his and it&#8217;s just as effective.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">You can have one of these sites built for you pretty easily for about $50 &#8211; $150 on Scriptlance.com, just make sure to provide links to a couple examples. KevinsMoneyBlog.com, Keiths-Workouts.com, EmilysTeeth.com</p>

<h2 style="text-align: left;">How To Drive Traffic To Them</h2>
<p style="text-align: left;">Since these sites are such high converters you can drive almost any type of traffic to them as long as it&#8217;s somewhat targeted. For example you won&#8217;t want to send a bunch of 12yr old girls to a &#8220;Get Six Pack Abs&#8221; offer, but you could send just about every male human being on the planet to it!</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">I&#8217;ve covered website traffic strategies to death on this blog already. I talked about where to get paid traffic <a href="http://sitefling.com/blog/21-places-to-buy-more-traffic/" target="_blank">here</a> and where to get free traffic <a href="http://sitefling.com/blog/free-website-traffic-is-100-possible" target="_blank">here</a>.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">On of the methods that I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ve covered too much is CPV advertising or some of you might call it PPV advertising. It&#8217;s a lot like pay per click where you bid small amounts of money per click for people that type in keywords that you specify.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">However with CPV advertising its better to target URLS, but you can still target keywords. What happens is these people are part of a network where they are given special content that they asked for&#8230; In exachange for that content they agreed to be shown advertisements.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">So these people in these networks are shown advertisements whenver they type in certain keywords, phrases, or URLS when they&#8217;re on the web.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">For example let&#8217;s pretend I was one of these guys in the network. I&#8217;m surfing around the net and I type in WeightWatchers.com and all of a sudden up pops a full screen version of your weightloss website!</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Average <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">c</span></strong>osts <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">p</span></strong>er <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">v</span></strong>iew of your website with this traffic method is around $0.04 per view. Using CPV I&#8217;ve driven as much as 4,800 visits to my website for less then $200!</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Networks I recommend are MediaTraffic.com, CPVMarketplace.com, Adonion.com, and TrafficVance.com but you must have at least $200 to start an account with them. You get to use that money for your account though, they just need funds to get you set up.</p>
<h2 style="text-align: left;">Putting It All Together</h2>
<p style="text-align: left;">1.) Talk with one of the affiliate managers they make available to you in your favorite CPA network. Or if you&#8217;re not a member of a CPA network then get accepted though <a href="http://sitefling.com/getaccepted.html" target="_blank"><strong>here</strong></a> and pick out one of the high converting offers they recommend to you.<a href="http://sitefling.com/getaccepted.html" target="_blank"><strong></strong></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">2.) Build a salesletter that looks like a blog promoting that offer. If you don&#8217;t know how to build them you can pay to have it built for you pretty cheap at Scriptlance.com or you can have my template.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">3.) Drive traffic to your page either with paid methods or free methods and you might try out some CPV advertising to speed up your results.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">4.) Once the site is making a little bit of cash you can sell it for several hundred to a couple thousand dollars by listing it on Flippa.com, WebmasterMarketplace.com, or SiteDeal.org<br />
(Multiply the sites monthly income x7 to get your sale price)</p>

<p>If you ALREADY are using Twitter then no doubt you&#8217;ve seen <span id="more-894"></span>the &#8220;Auto DM&#8217;s.&#8221; Those direct messages you get from people immediately or sometimes a little while after following someone.</p>
<p>You did know those are fake right&#8230; well 90% of them are anyways.</p>
<p>The worst ones are the super uber spammy &#8220;Get a buhzillion twitter followers by clicking here.&#8221; Then you have the less spammy &#8220;Hi, thanks for the follow. It&#8217;s so nice to meet you and I hope we become friends.&#8221;</p>
<p>Finally you have the guys who KNOW everyone hates auto dm&#8217;s but tries to &#8220;do it better then everyone else&#8221; by putting up a message with some humor or with some personal story.</p>
<p>Which reminds me of the biggest lesson I ever learned about marketing on the Interwebs&#8230; NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOU! They care about the sinus headache they have and how to fix it fast. Or they care about the forclosure looming over their heads and how they can fix it fast.</p>
<p>People are on the web to solve something for themselves. On Twitter it&#8217;s usualy to communicate with friends or build relationships. Worst thing you can do to build a relationship is to make your first step a FAKE ONE!</p>
<p>By the way WE ALL KNOW IT&#8217;S FAKE! You&#8217;re not tricking us, even with you&#8217;re really clever message!</p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>If you want to do it the right way </strong></span>then hire an overseas assistant to watch for new follows, find something unique about that person, and send a quick personal @ message NOT A DM! You can get this done for about $50 per week with a part timer.</p>
<p>DM&#8217;s are supposed to be &#8220;private messages&#8221; from friends and personal acquaintances. That&#8217;s what&#8217;s so annoying about auto dm&#8217;s is that they clog up your box with fake sheeit and then you start ignoring it and then you can&#8217;t even use it for your friends because you&#8217;re ignoring it!</p>
<p>I realize I&#8217;m trying to move a mountain by just yelling at it with this post. However, I know how we can REALLY get rid of auto dm&#8217;s&#8230;</p>
<p>Make them non-effective!</p>
<p>The reason people use them is to some degree they are effective (unfortunately it is easy to prey on the newbies and some people are in spots where they have too in order to make money). I don&#8217;t like it, I don&#8217;t condone it, but I do know that they can be effective in the right situations.</p>
<p>However, to the other 70% &#8211; 80% of the world you look like a dueche bag!</p>
<p>The way to make them non-effective is for you to tell everyone you know about these 5 resources. Then tell them to tell everyone they know. With the power of viral marketing we CAN get enough people on our side to render auto dm&#8217;s less effective to the point that even the spammers will look for another way.</p>
<ol>
<li>First and foremost you need to go opt-out of the service 90% of these auto dm&#8217;ers are using to send their &#8220;fake hello&#8217;s.&#8221; Go here to opt-out <a href="http://www.tweetlater.com/optout" target="_blank">http://www.tweetlater.com/optout</a></li>
<li>Start reporting people that auto dm you to this guy <a href="http://twitter.com/stopautodm" target="_blank">http://twitter.com/stopautodm</a> that way at least twitter staff will have one centralized location where they can go to find them all and start killing off their accounts.</li>
<li>When someone sends you an auto dm, send them one of these links <a href="http://turnthisthingoff.com" target="_blank">http://turnthisthingoff.com</a> or <a href="http://stopautodm.com" target="_blank">http://stopautodm.com</a> &#8211; If they&#8217;re not one of the robot spam twitter&#8217;ers then after getting those links 3 &#8211; 5 times they&#8217;ll start to get the hint that they are in fact actually a deuche bag!</li>
<li>Finally, send your twitter followers to this blog post so they can learn these steps also. Sure that kinda helps me out with some traffic, but this blog post is just yet another tool we all need to stop the auto dm madness. Tweet this blog post, digg this blog post, stumble it, heck go outside and yell the URL to your neighbors if you have to!</li>

<p>Now that I have finally found the best methods to help the most people, we&#8217;ll be talking a lot of about website flipping. However, we won&#8217;t just be talking about flipping sites. We&#8217;ll be talking about <span id="more-885"></span> the &#8220;what do you do to make a site flippable&#8221; stuff like traffic strategies, web business models, increasing conversions, listbuilding, and everything else that makes a websites value go up.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s Internet marketing with the purpose of eventually flipping your site for a big pay day at the end. Whether you do it once a week or once a year&#8230; It&#8217;s still the goal if you are a &#8220;siteflinger.&#8221;</p>

<p>The short story is Facebook offered everyone the chance to get a Facebook.com/YourName address for your profile. Lots of people lost their names to other people who had their name and others to slicksters who stole other people&#8217;s usernames &#8211; And thats the part pissing people off.</p>

<p>This guy who stole Mr. Winget&#8217;s username says he did it to try and get Larry&#8217;s attention. That he was doing him a favor by holding the name hostage from anyone else and that he thought it was worth a free consultation. Well he sure got Larry&#8217;s attention!</p>
<p>However there are better ways to get attention, like ones that won&#8217;t make you doosh of the day in the blogosphere. Michel was talking about how you shouldn&#8217;t try to get attention at the expense of others. Which I totally agree with, but  I felt a little like &#8220;well what is the right way then.&#8221;</p>
<p>So I&#8217;m going to pick up where Michel left off and elaborate on some ways to get attention without being annoying.</p>
<h3><span id="more-871"></span>Getting The Attention Of A Potential Mentor</h3>
<p>I got my big start online by getting the opportunity to intern with Russell Brunson. What I didn&#8217;t do was steal a domain of his and then try to sell it back to him. Instead I contacted him and told him how hard I would work for him.</p>
<p>Then later on when he needed a new VP of marketing for his MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR COMPANY I got his attention again. This time I wrote out all my ideas for how I could help him.</p>
<p>Before I get to the point let me give another example&#8230;</p>
<p>I now have Matt Bacak on speed dial and we chat on instant messengers about our sites. Again I didn&#8217;t try to extort him or scream over all the others that wanted his attention. I just started promoting his products and sent him case studies of results I got from his methods.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve done it over and over again&#8230; Russell Brunson, Dave Lakhani, Matt Bacak, Keith Baxter, and many others. I&#8217;ve gotten some of the best mentors in my industry because I put their needs before mine. Instead of asking them to help me, I told them how I would help them. In return for helping them they helped me.</p>
<p>I learned of this first in a book written by Robert Greene called &#8220;<a href="http://www.amazon.com/48-Laws-Power-Robert-Greene/dp/0140280197" target="_blank">The 48 Laws Of Power</a>&#8221; and I highly suggest reading it. I use the lessons from that book everyday of my life. He talks about the &#8220;position of power&#8221; and how it&#8217;s always changing.</p>
<h3>Positions of Power (My Favorite Lesson Of All Time)</h3>
<p>In every discussion, conversation, and relationship there is a hidden passing back and forth of power. If you know what to look for and concentrate though you can see where the position has stopped at and bring it back to you.</p>
<p>For example, you want a mentor&#8230;</p>
<p>Well the person you want to mentor you has the position of power, you are the one needing it. No one wants to physically give you their &#8220;power ball&#8221; so you have to earn it from them. If you help that person do something they couldn&#8217;t have done with you all of a sudden that position of power is transferred to you.</p>
<p>Now that you have the &#8220;power ball&#8221; you can pass it back to the mentor by asking them to help you. The other important thing about positions of power is EVERYONE ALWAYS WANTS IT (especially wives! haha jk).</p>
<p>You can get whatever you want when you practice being aware of positions of power and how to gain them.</p>
<h3>Getting The Attention Of A Customer</h3>
<p>In a competitive market the most basic marketers try yelling louder then everyone else to get their customers attention. However all they are doing is intimidating their customers and once everyone is screaming and shouting the prospect is just annoyed and jaded now.</p>
<p>For example take a look at the history of banner ads. First they were just blocks of text, then they became colorful images, then they made them animated, then blinking, and now today we have full audio inside some banner ads!</p>
<p>Because everyone was screaming and shouting in the banner ads the prospects learned how to tune them out. That&#8217;s why the best banner ads today are ones that look nothing like a banner ad.</p>
<p>Instead of giving themselves away by blinking, shouting, and being colorful the best banner ads camouflage themselves as useful information, games, questions, and spots of interactivity. You can learn from these banners too.</p>
<p>If everyone else is using a salesletter&#8230; What if you used an article? In fact some of the smartest marketers are now using blogs as salesletters. For example check out <a href="http://mywhiteteeth.greatblogsabout.com" target="_blank">http://mywhiteteeth.greatblogsabout.com</a></p>
<p>The prospect has the position of power. They have the money you want&#8230; If you put a salesmen in front of them or the equivalent they&#8217;ll hug and squeeze their &#8220;power ball&#8221; to never let it go. However, the prospect still has some sort of problem maybe it&#8217;s yellow teeth, maybe it&#8217;s toenail fungus.</p>
<p>If you can camouflage your sales process as a solution like a blog post instead of a salesletter then the customer will walk into your arms. Once you show them you know where the solution to their problem is, then all of a sudden the &#8220;power ball&#8221; magnetizes itself to you and you earn the position of power.</p>
<p>One last example because this is HIGHLY EFFECTIVE customer getting information is postcard marketing. I&#8217;m a fan of it but it&#8217;s going down the same path of banner ads on the Internet. Now the postcards are yellow, orange, pink, and red. If you open your mailbox and see a neon pink postcard&#8230; Whats your first thought?</p>
<p>SALES CARD! RUN!!! DON&#8217;T EVEN LOOK AT IT, JUST THROW IT OUT!</p>
<p>However, if you see a normal sized envelope, handwritten, and addressed to you then it almost certainly gets read. If when you open it you see a newspaper clipping that has a post it note addressed with your name handwritten on it&#8230; You&#8217;re going to read that newspaper clipping.</p>

<p>It looks like a friend sent you something that you need to see. This kind of marketing is called a tear sheet and there are several companies (<a href="http://www.lumpymail.com/Products/Tear_sheet.htm" target="_blank">LumpyMail.com</a> is the best) that will do it for you in mass, even with the <a href="http://www.mailingjet.com/ideas/post-it-idea.htm" target="_blank">handwritten post it notes</a>.</p>
<h3>But That&#8217;s Too Complicated/Expensive</h3>
<p>All of us inherently know that if we send a gift basket with a personalized DVD video prsentation of our product it&#8217;s probably going to work better then a neon pink mass print postcard. However, most of us have the mentality of just doing enough to get by.</p>
<p>You might think well I need the money fast, I don&#8217;t have time for all that fancy stuff. Which makes me think of the guy speeding down the road in his car rushing to get to work before he&#8217;s late and he gets pulled over by a cop. Sometimes it really is faster and more effective to do things right the first time then to try and cut corners or do the &#8220;rush it and pray&#8221; method.</p>
<p>So before you think about your next project ask yourself if there might be a more creative way of going about your business. Often times you&#8217;ll see much higher results from less work if you just stop and think about how you can be different from everyone else instead of trying to be bigger or louder.</p>

<p>On Tuesday June 9th at 6pm mountain (8pm Eastern) we have a very special guest dropping by our house to answer any questions you have. <p>I&#8217;ve had the pleasure of really getting to know Dave recently. It all started when I went to one of his seminars about becoming a speaker. Since that event I&#8217;ve made over $10,000 as a speaker and even landed an international speaking gig. Dave delivers the goods and you won&#8217;t want to miss him on our show this Tuesday.</p>

<li>Remaking the 20 best PLR and Resale rights products with professional designs, copy, and even turning them into physical products along with pre-researched marketing manuals for each</li>
<li>Creating pre-made product funnels including front-ends, upsells, autoresponder series, and backends</li>
<li>Hosting extreme mastermind groups like a Shark Fishing Mastermind Trip</li>

<p>SiteFling 30 Day Apprentice Challenge Results</p>
<p>In other exciting news it&#8217;s about day 19 or 20 now in the apprentice challenge and those that are taking action and following along are starting to get results. They are now starting to see traffic coming in, visitors are opting into their autoresponders, and one has even already made $780.</p>
