Fun Fiber Frame

Tools Needed:

embroidery needle
fuzzy fiber yarn
scissors
pencil
a Simple Towel or other embroidered bath towel

Basic Instructions:

An embroidery needle and some thin, fuzzy fiber are all you need to frame up this towel. Use diagonal stitches and multicolored yarn to create a contemporary border around a classic monogram. Lightly mark your border with a pencil. Thread the needle and knot one end. Bring the needle up from the underside of the towel and start creating the first row of diagonal stitches.

Tools Needed:

ribbon in several different colors
elastic hair band
scissors
hand towels or kitchen towels

Basic Instructions:

Cut ribbon into 4" lengths. Fold the first ribbon piece in half and slide one end under the elastic band so that there is a loop on one side of the elastic band and two ribbon ends on the other side of the hair band. Take the two ribbon ends and fold over the elastic hair band and through the loop on the other side. Tighten the knot by pulling on both of the ends of the ribbon at the same time. Repeat this process until the elastic band looks full or you run out of ribbon... Simply pull your towel through the finished ribbon band and voila!! You are done! Make them in different color combination's to accentuate your home's theme throughout the bathroom and kitchen.

After your bath towels are monogrammed in the Simple Towels Studio, they are rolled neatly and finished off with a ribbon bow. Why Simple Towels

One Christmas, Brenda Carrasco, wanted to give gifts that were affordable, useful and personalized to her very large family. Unable to find an inexpensive and easy way to order a lot of monogrammed towels, she decided to make them herself. Brenda purchased a discounted home embroidery machine and made her first batch of personalized gift towels in late 2001. The Christmas presents were so popular that Brenda continued to make custom bath towels at craft shows and other local events.

By eliminating the hassle of finding nice towels AND finding an embroidery shop to monogram them, Brenda's towel business became an instant success, and SimpleTowels.com was eventually created to keep up with the demand. The website makes it super simple for anyone to order a personalized gift that is sure to be useful, beautiful and well-received.

Basic Instructions:

This towel was made with an iron-on patch and was reinforced with the help of a sewing machine. Use coordinating thread to run a straight stitch close to the edge of your patch.

Basic Instructions:

Thread your embroidery needle with the ribbon yarn and knot one end. Pull the needle up from the underside of the towel and reinsert the needle about a 1/4" away to create the first straight stitch. Continue in a row and knot the underside to finish the border off.

Basic Instructions:

Thread the embroidery needle and sew through the top of your towel. Bring the needle back up through the towel next to the original spot you just pierced. Tie a double-knot and cut the ends of the yarn so that they extend about 1/2" beyond the surface of the towel.
