I don't know what it is about hair dryers but I seem to go through them like crazy. Well, I got sick of replacing them all the time & decided to shop around. Who better to take advice from, than the hair pros themselves. I was told Barbar made some pretty fantastic products & fantastic is exactly what I got! The Barbar Ceramic ECO 8000 Blow Dryer is most definitely a good investment but also Eco friendly. The coil heat element is replace with a ceramic element that turns the electricity into heat, rather than wasting it. Wasted electricity turns into radiation & why would you want to blow radiation on your hair? Who knew that using a product better for the environment, could also protect you as well;) ... Oh and did I mention the the ceramic heating element last 5x's longer, guess I'll be saving money too!

Feet can be cute...

I've never been a big fan of feet. They aren't usually an attractive feature but after we took our family pics last year, our photographer gave this pose a try. It turned out a lot better than I thought it would. I think it was because 1- we had an excellent photographer & 2- Color Incorporated did a fabulous job on printing the photo on their wrapped canvas. I will most definitely be developing our photos with Color Incorporated whenever I'm counting a professional touch. I can guarantee they'll make your feet look great but the smell... well that's your responsibility;)

Some companies find it necessary to put their employees in costumes to attract customers. Yes, the gorilla suits usually get my kids attention but IT FREAKS THEM OUT. But I have to admit, they are quite fond of the Banana Man suit, there's nothing scary about him, he drinks wheat grass shots so he must have super powers, right? But mostly my kids love him because he gives them Jamba's! Chunky Strawberry Topper, Blackberry Bliss & Oatmeal are a few of our favorites. A little less space

I usually have the most suitcases packed whenever we go on a trip. Women just require so much more then men. Between the hair dyer, make up bag etc etc, it all adds up. The Hana Mini is so compact and easily just slips into my luggage. It even comes with a cute little bag... just what I need:) I can't leave home without a flat iron, you can't either!

I recently moved to downtown Portland to begin college. The one thing that I have noticed most while living in a big city, is the constant noise. There is always a low humming of distant traffic on one of the 3 major freeways in downtown. Living in a building that houses a fire station certainly is not a quiet nesting area for a relaxing nap. To add to the confusion there is also a max (tram) line that wraps around my building and multiple buses. If that isn't enough to make you cut your ears off, it's also a student housing building, so you have loud neighbors and yelling young adults on the streets. I love it... really.

Sometimes though with all this hustle and bustle, my ears need a vacation. Silence doesn't exist in my world, so I need to find an euphoric substitute to silence. Guess what? I FOUND IT!

I have became a faithful listener to Jon Schmidt while I spent two years living in England. Recently, Jon has again put me in a musical spell with his creative and fresh music.

Jon Schmidt's new CD is, 'Bonus Tracks'. If you like Taylor Swift, there is a special song for you. A rock inspired track, and even a little peanuts on the CD. It has it all.

Schmidt's style of piano is unlike anything I have heard, but my ears love it! I think one of my all time favorites is 'Winter Wind' from his 'Walk in the Woods' album. I would listen to this while in England everyday and play the air piano while in the passenger seat of the car. I dreamed of the day when I got home and got the sheet music to play this masterpiece.

On the new Album 'Bonus Tracks' there are a couple songs that might rival 'Winter Wind'. The 'ROCKmaninoff', or even 'Love Story meets Love Story', which you can watch a video of.

Jon Schmidt is pretty much the coolest guy EVER and wants to give away one copy of his newest album!

I'm a horrible singer. In fact, the one and only time I sang Karoke, they tried to pay me to STOP singing! So the only time I sing, is in my car (my poor kids are strapped in and have no way out) & now my new found love, Rockband 2. Although fully compatble with Rockband, if you haven't grabbed the newly released Beatles Rockband game, you're missing out on a chance to let your true self shine. Yes, my family of 5 loves to gather around the TV & rock! There's 3 mics to cover the newly added 3 part harmonies, guitar, bass & my husband's favorite, drums. But mostly while the boys are rockin the house, I'm rockin da mic! Yes, me & believe or not I got 100% 2x's on vocals... guess listening to The Beatles so much in the car on trips has paid off, only now that my boys have learn ALL 45 songs from the game, they can sing right along with me.

I'm not a runner, at least I wasn't until this summer & I ran my first 5K! I know it's not a marathon but it was good enough for me. I only wish I had my Cell Voltra shoes at the time. With PUMA's new 10CELL technology, you can push yourself the distance & not worry about your feet aching 5 minutes into your run. It's amazing how light and bendable these shoes are, now if only they could get me out of bed & move my legs for me! My next 5K is in a couple of weeks & I'm looking forward to showing off my new kicks and their 2 cushioning zones!

One of the things that helps me to not think about summer ending, are all the Fall colors! Yes, I LOVE SUMMER but I think I'm a rich color kinda girl. I may not be pregnant (phew) but I'm sure a lot of you are and one of my favorite lines for maternity essentials, Ingrid & Isabel, have just launched their BellaBand in fabulous colors for the fall! These BellaBand are a must, whether your just beginning your 40 weeks or at the end... I even wear them and I'm not pregnant! I just like the layered look!

Every time I try to step out of my coconut zone and try to replace it with one of the 100 other scents available, nothing ever quite makes me as happy and I immediately come back to it. The Body Shop never fails with their sweet coconut products. The new coconut perfume oil is just simply fantastic and did I mention you can buy it for your home as well? It reminds me of spending all day at the beach. I'm sure I'll be using it everyday, since our summer days are about to come to an end.
