Car travel from Delhi to Jaipur and a shot of the beautiful Hawa Mahal

Recently, we had some guests touring Rajasthan and we stopped by the splendid Hawa Mahal in Jaipur. This is a picture taken by us during the tour. Tourism in Rajasthan has been promoted over the years very proactively by the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation and today it is one of the best tourists destinations in India.

Though there are many car rentals in Jaipur providing city tours, our guests preferred to use our car services for the entire duration of their trip. We loved taking them on their trip.

This is a nice little bridge we crossed near Jahu market, Hamirpur district in Himachal Pradesh. Many tourists visiting the State prefers to visit lesser popular places and explore more of the unexposed.

We chanced upon these two dozen or so tourist bikers riding down the highway from Bilaspur to Manali in Himachal Pradesh. We stopped and clicked some pictures and waved a good luck sign to them and they returned the gesture.

This is one of the many toll bridge gates you will encounter while traveling on Indian highways on car. Many tourists prefer to hire a car instead of traveling by train or air for inter State travels in India for the sheer convenience and to experience India in its hinterlands.

The toll bridge fee is around Rs. 10-100 for a single journey. Long toll roads and expressways are are quite a boon and is good for tourism India. Earlier people had to travel in narrow dusty roads but today tourists can cruise at 80-100 kms a hour in these expressways.

Submerged temple at Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh

This is a view of the famous submerged temple at Gobind Sagar Lake at Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. The lake has been created due to the Bhakra dam, and is named after the 10th Sikh guru, Guru Govind Singh.

The place is a good tourist destination in the months of October to November when the water level in the lake rises and fun activities like water ferry rides and water skiing are organised. Tourists also love to fish in the lake.

This picture has been taken in the month of September, when the rainy season starts in Himcahal.
