				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="first"><span class="drop-cap">A</span> diagnosis of <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.mesothelioma.com/">mesothelioma</a> can be emotionally shattering. Because the <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.mesothelioma.com/life-expectancy.htm">mesothelioma life expectancy</a> from the time of diagnosis is, on the average, between 4 and 18 months, it is common for patients to become distraught or depressed. Complementary therapies, including hypnosis, can sometimes help to improve the quality of life for these patients. </p>
<p>Hypnosis is a state of relaxed and focused awareness in which the subject is receptive to suggestion. Hypnotic suggestion can sometimes help cancer patients better cope with the pain associated with the disease and its treatment and to face an uncertain future more stoically.</p>
<p>The National Institutes of Health performed studies of the benefits of hypnosis in cancer treatment and found that when it is used to complement traditional medical treatment it can be helpful in lessening pain, calming fear and anxiety, and controlling bleeding during surgery. There is no evidence to suggest that hypnosis can prevent cancer or alter the progress of the disease. It does not appear to improve survival rates of cancer patients. </p>
<p>Not everyone can be hypnotized, and among those who can, some can reach deeper levels of hypnotic trance than others. Therefore, hypnosis is not equally efficacious for all cancer patients. For those who are willing and able to be hypnotized, it can be a tool to improve quality of life in the face of a devastating diagnosis.</p>
<p>Hypnosis creates a state of deep relaxation. The conscious mind becomes calm and undistracted, while the unconscious mind becomes focused and open to suggestion. The therapist may suggest that the patient feels peaceful, without fear, tension, or anxiety, and that pleasant sensations flood the body, overwhelming all pain.<br />
The hypnotherapist is not able to control the subject, nor can a person under hypnosis be made to do anything against his will. Rather, hypnosis helps subjects have more control over feelings, behaviors, and attitudes toward their disease.</p>
<p>Hypnosis can be used instead of traditional anesthesia during some surgeries and medical and dental procedures. In addition to reducing the amount of pain and anxiety the patient experiences, it can reduce the amount of bleeding. It appears to reduce recovery time after surgical procedures and may even stimulate the body’s immune system.</p>
<p>While hypnosis can often improve the quality of life for cancer patients and may even hasten recovery from necessary surgeries, it is not a treatment or cure for the cancer itself, and should not be used as a stand-alone treatment, but to complement standard medical treatment, not substitute for it.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="first"><span class="drop-cap">W</span>e&#8217;re only born with two fears; the fear of sudden loud noises and falling, all the rest are learnt behaviours.  You may have had a bad flying experience in the past and now every time you think of this experience or something similar, you get this uncomfortable feeling in your body. You don&#8217;t even have to be flying; just the thought of it allows you to feel this way.  After a while, just the mention of flying makes you feel terrible. I&#8217;ll explain below why this happens and give you a technique to reduce or get rid of this feeling.</p>
<p>Why do you have a fear or phobia?<br />
Your mind generalises to protect you.  When you were young you learnt to open a door. Now you&#8217;re able to open pretty much every door in the world, even if you&#8217;ve never seen this door before.  The same is true about a fear or phobia.  You had a bad experience and now your mind generalises, this allows you to have the same feelings in every similar situation.  </p>
<p>Imagine you&#8217;re bitten by a dog when you were young.  It was a big black Rottweiler that bit you. Now every time you see any dog you&#8217;re scared.  This is a pure case of your mind generalising to protect you.  You had one bad experience with a dog and now you&#8217;re scared of every dog you come across, even the thought of a dog scares you.  </p>
<p>The same is true about flying and any other fear or phobia on the planet.  There are no exceptions here, fears and phobias all do the same things to your body.  These are all learnt behaviours and anything that can be learnt, can be unlearnt. How great would it be to face your fear of flying and not have that uncomfortable feeling in your body?  Here is a great technique to lower or reduce your fear significantly.</p>
<p>How to get rid of a fear or phobia<br />
Think of your fear and identify the direction of the feeling in your body.  For example; it may be a forwards, backwards, clockwise or an anticlockwise spinning feeling in your body.  Close your eyes now and imagine your fear playing out in your mind.  Imagine you&#8217;re watching a big blockbuster movie and you&#8217;re in it.  Notice the spinning feeling in your body and give it the colour red and keep it spinning.  Now change the direction of the spinning in your body and give it the colour blue.  For Example; if it was a red, backwards spinning feeling, now spin it forwards with the colour blue.  Picture this blue colour spinning in your body as you see yourself successfully handle this situation in the movie calmly and confidently.  Now gently step inside yourself in the movie and allow yourself to see everything through your own eyes.  See what you&#8217;ll see through your own eyes when everything plays out successfully, the way you want it to.  Make the picture bigger, brighter and more colourful while you continue to spin this blue feeling in your body faster and faster.  Let the blue colour become lighter and lighter until it&#8217;s a sky blue.  What calm or confident internal voice do you hear when everything plays out successfully in the situation.  Make this voice more calm and confident and the sounds around you louder and richer, as you continue to spin this light blue feeling in your body.  Do this for 5-10 minutes and when you feel great open your eyes.</p>
<p>How great do you feel now?  By changing the images, sounds and the direction of the feeling in your body, you&#8217;re able to feel more calm, confident and relaxed in this situation.  This will allow you to take the necessary action to enter a similar situation in the future.  By taking action over and over you condition a new habit of calmness and confidence in this situation until it becomes an automatic behaviour.  By doing this you&#8217;ll get rid of your fear of flying completely!</p>

There are a lot of plus points to doing so, but one is also aware that there is a flip side to the coin.</p>
<p>Salaried work is &#8220;safe&#8221;.  But is it?  You tend to assume that it&#8217;s safe, but in this day and age business has become increasingly more cut-throat and it is not unusual to hear of even a large business collapsing, or a top level manager being politely sent home for good.  Business is business as they say and compassion and loyalty do not hold the same weight as they used to.  What used to be deemed to be the safest option may in fact leave you in a very vulnerable position indeed.</p>
<p>To work for yourself may seem a little daunting at first, especially if you have been used to dealing with just one small area of the whole which is involved in making a business tick.  You need to find ways to deal with business set up, accounts, marketing and many other basics no matter what the business is.  The key is being both organized and confident in your own abilities.   Only then will you be in a position to create a workable business model.</p>
<p>Many people have great ideas and huge ability in their field, but fail to step back and have the vision to see the bigger picture.  Many people try to do everything themselves, when it might be better to ask for help from a few well positioned friends or experts in their field.  The fact is that setting up your own business is a learning curve; you will make mistakes but in doing so you learn and you grow as a person.  As you rise to each challenge you grow stronger, and your business grows with you.</p>
<p>You do need confidence; Confidence in yourself and confidence in your product or service.  You have to ask a lot of questions and arm yourself with as much information as you can glean.  Without confidence you would not ask those questions.</p>
<p>Setting up your own business takes a lot of time and effort but if it is what you want then it is worth it &#8211; well worth it. Where there is a will there is a way; if you want it enough you will make it work.  You have to have the ability to envision the results which you desire.  Successful people visualize that which they desire to come to fruition.  Whatever you imagine vividly you will instinctively find the way in which to bring it to life.  </p>
<p>This is in fact a basic way in which the human mind works.  You often hear the phrase &#8220;you have to see it to believe it&#8221;.  This does not solely refer to things which you see in reality; it also applies to things which you see in your imagination.  As you visualize your objectives clearly your mind believes them and finds a way to make them real.</p>
<p>Hypnosis helps tremendously to set your business model firmly in your subconscious mind, allowing you to visualize your goals clearly and build trust in your ideas.  Hypnosis allows you to access your creative mind, thereby adding intensity and reality to your images and visualizations.  This in turn increases your belief, motivation and resolve.</p>

When you create great pictures of success in your mind along with a positive internal voice you create empowering feelings in your body.  Through constant practise and conditioning, these become automatic processes that give you the feelings you want consistently.  I&#8217;ll show you how these process work and how to achieve more confidence in any area of your life.</p>
<p>Master your Mind<br />
In order to achieve more confidence, first you must master your mind.  By creating empowering images and sounds in your mind you create empowering feelings of confidence in your body.  Have you ever seen somebody that is so confident, and you thought it would be awesome to be like that? How do you think they become confident like that?  They created amazing pictures of themselves succeeding in their mind, along with a confident internal voice that told them they can achieve whatever they want.  This drove them to take action and as they took action over and over, everything became easier and easier. Confidence became an automatic process, like tying their shoelace or brushing their teeth.  Therefore, the real trick to lasting confidence is to take more action, over and over.  You became great at walking, because when you were a baby, you tried it so many times. Finally after falling down enough times, you were able to walk and it became an automatic process.  The same is true about confidence or any other empowering emotion.  The more action you take over and over, you&#8217;ll eventually become confident in this area which will be lasting confidence.   This all sounds good in theory, but let me give you a technique that will give you more confidence and allow you to take more action to achieve lasting confidence.</p>
<p>Visualise and Anchor<br />
Close your eyes and slow down your breathing. Imagine seeing yourself in a blockbuster movie.  See the way you move, the way you breathe and the look on your face when you&#8217;re doing something you&#8217;re totally confident in.  Now step inside yourself in that movie and see everything through your own eyes when you&#8217;re totally confident.  Make the pictures bigger, brighter and more colourful in your mind now.  What sounds do you here around you, when you&#8217;re totally confident? Make these sounds richer and louder.  Now feel the amazing feelings of confidence spread throughout your body as you completely confident in this situation.  Intensify these feelings of confidence now, and when you&#8217;re completely confident squeeze your thumb and middle finger together for about 2-3 seconds and then release.  This will create an emotional anchor for these confident feelings.  Keep visualising and when you feel these amazing feeling of confidence again, squeeze these fingers together.  Repeat this 3-5 times.  Now when you squeeze these fingers you&#8217;ll have all these amazing feelings of confidence spread throughout your body.</p>
<p>Transfer the feeling<br />
Now close your eyes again and visualise the situation you&#8217;re struggling to have confidence in. Imagine you&#8217;re in a blockbuster movie and see everything playing out successfully, the way you want it to play out.  Notice the way you look, the way you breathe and the look on your face when you&#8217;re totally confident in this situation.  Now step inside yourself in this movie and see everything play out successfully through your own eyes.  Make the images bigger, brighter and bolder and create a confident internal voice in your head.  Now squeeze your anchor and feel all these feeling of confidence spread throughout your body while you&#8217;re in this situation.  Go back and repeat this 3-5 times.  Now when you fire your anchor, all those amazing feelings of confidence will spread throughout your body.</p>
<p>Open your eyes and think of the situation you were struggling with confidence.  How do you feel now?  I bet you feel great and you&#8217;re itching to take some action. With all these amazing feelings of confidence inside you&#8217;re able to take more action in this situation.  By taking more action over and over you&#8217;ll create an automatic feeling of confidence in your body that will last.  This is a quick and easy way to create lasting confidence in any area of your life. This will ultimately lead you to enjoy more happiness and success in your life.</p>

Even if you are several years out of school, you can still drastically improve your skills in mathematics. With the proper application of your subconscious mind power, your maths skills can dramatically increase.</p>
<p>Most people, when remembering learning intricate equations and formulas at school, can&#8217;t help but to feel perplexed, anxious, and annoyed. However, this is natural when learning a brand new subject. Whenever you learn any subject that you are not informed about, there is always going to be confusion and anxiety. Whenever you learn the subject well, the perplexity and anxiety turns into curiosity, which then turns into discovery, which then turns into real understanding.</p>
<p>For many of us, however, learning mathematics never got past the stage of frustration and concern. Believe it or not, there is a math genius inside each one of us. Even if you merely want to have the confidence to calculate a tip, or balance your finances every month, you already have what it takes to release your inner genius.</p>
<p>The problem is whenever we discover ourselves facing a mathematical problem, we immediately recall those times when we couldn&#8217;t understand long division to save our life. But when was the last time you actually needed to do long division in real life? Sure there are occasions when you need to split the bill, or work out what number of ice cream bars you should purchase with the money in your pocket, but these are much easier problems.</p>
<p>The trick is to detach those thoughts of painful elementary school learning from everyday numerical situations. Nearly all of us possess a calculator function on our cell phones anyway. Once you detach those old memories from current situations, you&#8217;ll feel comfortable, competent, and relaxed whenever a mathematical situation arises.</p>
<p>How do you do this?</p>
<p>Easy. Develop a collection of positive, present tense statements, or affirmations, that describe your ideal mathematical self. Listed below are some to get you started:</p>
<p>Math is easy. I am skilled in math. I&#8217;ve always been good at math. I analyze figures swiftly and clearly.</p>
<p>Mess around with these until you come up with some that make sense for you. Once you&#8217;ve got your list, then simply get into that sleepy, drowsy state you&#8217;re in right before you drift off to sleep at night. When you are in that sleepy, drowsy state, repeat your affirmations several times. Say them as if they&#8217;re really true. Say them as you appreciate them being really true. With a little bit of time, consistency, and sufficient emotion, you&#8217;ll be calculating figures in your head in no time.</p>
