Det var etter at Mette begynte &amp;#229; arbeide p&amp;#229; Ila fengsel, sikrings- og forvaringsanstalt, at det ble fart p&amp;#229; syklingen.

      <description>Kjetil Johansen var med og satt den sterke nye rekorden 12.51.04, p&amp;#229; de 540 kilometerne i landeveisrittet Trondheim – Oslo, den 20. juni. Uka etter syklet Kjetil turen en gang til. Denne gangen 746 kilometer fordelt p&amp;#229; seks etapper i terrenget. Kjetil har MOT b&amp;#229;de i brystet, og p&amp;#229; sykkelhjelmen.

      <description>For ti &amp;#229;r siden fikk Frede Schmidt (50) fra S&amp;#248;nder-Jylland leukemi. Han lovte seg selv at hvis han kom opp av sykesenga ville han sykle Trondheim-Oslo. For to &amp;#229;r siden fikk han en benmargstransplantasjon. I &amp;#229;r fullf&amp;#248;rte han den store styrkepr&amp;#248;ven.

      <title>Livsstil og stress</title>
      <description>Et sunt og godt liv er ikke bare et liv uten sykdom. Det er mange friske mennesker som ikke er sunne eller som ikke har et godt liv. Et godt liv, er et liv p&amp;#229; toppen. Et liv der du har glede av kroppens maksimale kapasitet. Det er overraskende f&amp;#229; som er klar over hvor liten del av kroppens kapasitet de utnytter og opplever. Det er enda mer overraskende at s&amp;#229; f&amp;#229; av dem som er klar over det, faktisk gj&amp;#248;r noe med det.

      <description>Et par kaffe kopper f&amp;#248;r du trener virker oppkvikkende, og kan redusere ubehaget i musklene ved intensiv fysisk aktivitet. Dette kommer frem av en ny studie fra USA. Om det gir bedre prestasjoner er mer usikkert.

I f&amp;#248;lge forskerne kan kaffe f&amp;#248;r trening gj&amp;#248;re at man blir mindre f&amp;#248;lsom for smerter i l&amp;#229;rmusklene.
 - Koffein virker p&amp;#229; et system i hjernen og ryggmargen, som er involvert i &amp;#229; h&amp;#229;ndtere smerte, sier professor Robert Moti ved University of Illinois, USA, til nettstedet LiveScience.

      <title>Hva er din Body Mass Index? Hva betyr det?</title>
      <description>Med f&amp;#229; ord, s&amp;#229; kan vi si at din BMI eller Body Mass Index er en m&amp;#229;te og m&amp;#229;le kroppens fettprosentpoeng i forhold til h&amp;#248;yden din. Grunnen til dette er at vekt alene ikke med rimelighet kan v&amp;#230;re et m&amp;#229;l for fedme eller helse. I mange &amp;#229;r, har menn og kvinner sett p&amp;#229; h&amp;#248;yde /vekt-tabeller og sagt at hvis de hadde en viss h&amp;#248;yde og en viss vekt, var de &amp;quot;overvektige&amp;quot; og indirekte i en mulig helserisiko. Men BMI-tallet gir deg selv eller helsepersonell en mulighet til &amp;#229; foreta en rask vurdering av eventuell helserisiko.

&amp;#197; beregne din Body Mass Index er en relativt enkel prosess. Du kan regne ut din BMI selv, men du vil f&amp;#229; en mer n&amp;#248;yaktig m&amp;#229;ling av din helse, ved at m&amp;#229;lingen blir utf&amp;#248;rt av en lege eller p&amp;#229; et sted som har n&amp;#248;dvendig utstyr og profesjonelt trenet personale.
