DNS Changer Virus

DNSChanger Doomsday Deadline Monday Sparks Last-Minute Concern
Hysterical warnings about imminent catastrophe are all too common on Facebook or in emails sent by gullible friends. Usually these are hoaxes or threats that have already been extinguished by any common anti-virus program. However the DNSChanger malware warnings are legitimate, and there are potentially hundreds of thousands of computer users who may wake up Monday morning with no internet access.

The doomsday warnings circulating on the web concern a malware attack which originated in Estonia in 2007. Although the FBI arrested six people in November, 2011 in connection with the racket, the end game for many unsuspecting users is Monday, July 9. On that date the FBI shuts down its clean servers that were brought online to replace those which were corrupted.

The Domain Name System, or DNS, is the method by which numerical IP addresses are converted to written website names. The DNSChanger program altered DNS settings on computers and routers. Users were directed to scam servers run by a fake company named Rove Digital. The program also left infected computers vulnerable to other malware attacks.

In conjunction with the arrests, the FBI obtained a court order allowing them to take over the bogus DNS servers. Since infected computers were now linked to the malware-generating servers, shutting them down at the time of arrest would have disabled internet access for every infected computer. The infected server numbers were temporarily assigned to clean servers, but the deadline for that temporary use is Monday.

At the height of the scam about 4 million computers were infected, including 500,000 in the United States. Since no new computers were being infected, the number of compromised machines has dropped as users removed the malware. However, one side effect of the DNSChanger attack was that it prevented some anti-virus programs from updating. An estimated 300,000 computers may still be infected. Although infected computers technically won’t be locked out of the internet, the only way to access websites is by knowing their numerical IP addresses.

Running a deep anti-virus scan is the first step in making sure a computer isn’t infected.

Advanced Antispyware Solution Virus Removal

This page will show you how to remove the Advanced Antispyware solution virus with our easy 3-Step virus removal solution.

Advanced Antispyware Solution

The Advanced Antispyware Solution is the newest rogue malware program to gain major distribution by hackers worldwide. This is typical of hackers who use these methods to target users. The software is spread by hacking sites and posing as anti-spyware but is in fact a rogue as it uses false information to indicate to users that their computers are highly infected with viruses. The aim is to lead people to believe they need to buy the Advanced Antispyware Solution in order to rid their systems of the viruses.

The program works in two ways: it can utilize hacked websites to latch on to other programs belonging to the visitor and covertly install the Advanced Antispyware Solution virus, or it can use a false anti-malware scanner advertised on an illicit website. The anti-malware appears to scan the computer for viruses and presents users with a warning, indicating that they should download the software.

The Advanced Antispyware Solution virus begins running as soon as Windows starts up. The program will appear to run a scan, but is in fact entirely fake, and always concludes that a large number of infected files were detected. This leads the user to attempt to use the software in order to rid the system of the viruses. At this point, the program will announce that the user must first purchase the product.

As the scan is a fake, the viruses that appear to be found do not actually exist. It is important that you do not believe the authenticity of this rogue product and purchase the software. Buying the program will not solve your virus problems in any way. Do not even purchase the license key for the Advanced Antispyware Solution.

The warnings delivered by this program may look convincing and many users may be worried about the viruses that are supposedly found residing in their computers. However, this is the point of the fake antivirus program. It is designed to make you believe you need to buy the software.

To remove Advanced Antispyware Solution see the instructions below.

This page is dedicated to the information and removal instructions for the Smart HDD Virus. The Smart HDD program can easily be removed with our easy 3-Step Virus Removal instructions found on the bottom of this page.

Smart HDD Virus

Smart HDD is rogue malware program that will maliciously instal itself on computers and display multiple fake errors. These errors and pop-up warnings have been designed to try and trick the infected computer users into believing that there is something wrong with their PC. The fake warnings by Smart HDD are labeled S.M.A.R.T. Check and S.M.A.R.T. Warning. Although these fake warnings may sound harmless, they do confirm that the computer displaying them has been infected with the Smart HDD virus.

The Smart HDD virus will display these alerts to try and get you to purchase the fake program, which is how the hackers behind it profit. Remember, the Smart HDD is a new computer virus and most real antivirus programs are not yet equipped to remove it and most programs like Norton or AVG do not work well to remove viruses they are designed to protect you from getting them.

Visa/Mastercard Security Concerns

Over 10 million potential VISA and MasterCard customers may find out soon that their private financial information has been breached. The credit conglomerates have notified banks to take precautionary measures to protect customers and vital banking information. The breakdown in security may have exposed over 10 million individuals card numbers. The breach in information is happening on a large scale and affecting customers around the world. A breach of this magnitude doesn’t occur often and has the potential to cause a significant amount of damage to the financial sector if not stopped quickly.

The breach is serious and occurred initially between Jan. 12 to Feb. 25, 2012. VISA and MasterCard informed banks that the information obtained by thieves contained complete Track 1 and Track 2 information. This means that counterfeit cards can be produced if the thieves have the proper technology to create new cards. Based on an analysis by banks with access to transaction history, the thieves do have the technology to create new cards and are attempting to use this information to commit fraud.

Banks and credit card processors have been hard at work analyzing the available data to try and determine a common thread that links the cards to a single point. Two major financial institutions have found some puzzling information about how some of the cards have been used. They know that most of the cards are being used in parking garages around New York City. VISA and MasterCard have not revealed the source of the breach at this time.

The attack on credit processors still provides more questions than answers. Only an estimate about the number of cards compromised and actually being used can be made at this point. PSCU provides online services to credit unions and they have noted that out almost 500 credit unions alerted, a little less than 57,000 members accounts were compromised. Of those accounts less than 900 have unauthorized activity. There doesn’t seem to be a specific location in which all of the affected cards have been used. The customers affected live in several different areas. As more information becomes available, banks are working overtime to prevent this issue from affecting users.

Smart Fortress 2012 Virus Removal

Smart Fortress 2012 is a newly discovered rogue malware program. We have classified it as a computer virus due to its malicious intent. This page has been designed to assist with the removal of the Smart Fortress 2012 Virus. See our Easy 3-Step virus removal instructions for permanent removal of Smart Fortress 2012.

Smart Fortress 2012

The Smart Fortress 2012 was made to silently enter computers without alarming the computer user. This form of deception is typical of computer virus programs. Once it finds itself inside of a new computer, it begins to spread throughout the Windows operating system. It begins to make a foothold at the computers registry and from there will attempt to control the computers functions. At this stage someone who is infected with Smart Fortress 2012 will begin to see multiple system error warnings and scans from the smart fortress 2012 program. It should be noted that every warning and scan that comes from the Smart Fortress 2012 program are completely fake and should be disregarded. These are made to try and get the infected computer users to upgrade to a “Full” version of Smart Fortress. Please note: Smart Fortress is 100% fake and a harmful computer virus.

Remove Smart Fortress 2012

It will be necessary to remove Smart Fortress 2012 in order for the computer to run normally again. Do not expect the computer to run properly while Smart Fortress is on the computer. Smart Fortress is a computer virus and has been made to harm computers and spread rapidly. The challenge in removing the Smart Fortress 2012 virus is that has internal process designed to block the computers it infects from downloading most programs, especially virus removal programs. Furthermore, because Smart Fortress is a new virus most virus removal programs are not capable of removing this infection.

We have tested many virus removal programs against Smart Fortress 2012 and found which one will easily remove it. Also, we found and easy way to bypass the infection and install this program and remove Smart Fortress 2012 permanently from your computer with 100% success rate. (See Below)

Security Shield Virus

The Security Shield program is the latest virus to be intercepted by our Malware detection team and found to be extremely malicious. This page will assist those who have been infected with this virus application with our Easy 3-Step virus removal instructions.

Security Shield Virus

Security Shield is a modern day rogue malware application found being distributed worldwide through various malicious formats. Due to its extreme ability to harm computers we have classified it as a serious computer virus. The Security Shield virus was cleverly named “Security Shield” to deceive its victims into thinking it is a legitimate program offering some sort of protecti0n. This program will force its way on to computers with out ever asking for permission or the standard EULA (End User License Agreement). Security Shield is only out to cause harm to the computers it inhabits and trick them into thinking it is legitimate in hopes of getting them to upgrade. Once Security Shield gets installed it makes some major changes to the way the Windows registry will run. You will have to remove Security Shield in order for the computer to run properly again. See Below for removal instructions.

Security Shield Screen Shot

Security Shield Virus

To Remove Security Shield

The Security Shield virus will display many fake scans and system errors in an attempt to fool people into thinking they have a security problem in their computer. However, the real problem is Security Shield. This porgram pretends to offers protection but it is all just to try to get you to upgrade the program where they will ask for personal information. A lot of the major computer security program will let you scan you computer to see if you have any errors before you have to register it or buy it. Security Shield tries to copy the actual way programs like Norton, McAfee, or AVG run in order to trick as many people as possible. Keep in mind, that if Security Shield is not removed it may get much worse and it will need to removed in order for the computer to run normally again.

On the Next Page we show you how you can remove Security Shield with our Easy 3-Step instructions. Remember, because Security Shield is a brand new computer virus most of the antivirus software program have not been updated to remove this infection. Also, most antivirus programs offer protection and are not built with virus removal capabilities. On the next page we will show you how to install and run the program that will quickly remove Security Shield.

If you see this warning, you’re probably infected with the Windows Debugging Center virus and should remove it immediately as it is known to get much worse over time. Windows Debugging Center is 100% a fake program and classified as a Rogue Malware application.
Remove Best Virus Protection

Best virus protection is a malicious program categorized as a rogue Malware computer virus. This virus has been cleverly named to try and trick its victims into think it is the best virus protection but beware as it is the latest computer virus to be revealed in our worldwide matrix. Please continue to read a long as we show you how to remove the “best virus protection virus.”

Best Virus Protection

There have been quite a few viruses over the last few years that are installed through a popup window from an internet browser. The viruses attempt to make the computer user believe that an internet browser popup window is not from the internet, but instead, is a popup window notification from the Windows software. The Best Virus Protection virus acts just as these types of viruses.

A popup window falsely alerts the customer that a scan is needed for the protection of the PC and that it will be done immediately. The action of processing and finishing the Best Virus Protection virus scan is an animation inside the popup window. No scan is being performed on the system. Instead, the scan results show a horribly infected file system in the results. These results have nothing to do with the computer user’s actual files; instead, this is just another popup window animation. Remember, the Best Virus Protection program is actually a real computer virus that is trying to harm the computer.

Best Virus Protection Removal

With the horrible results from the scan, the window suggests that the software perform a full scan on the computer so that it may remove the threats it has found. When the computer user agrees to perform this scan, they have allowed the virus to download and install throughout their system. At this point, the Best Virus Protection virus is installed into the registry, infiltrates the internet browser, and it runs each time the computer is booted.

The Best Virus Protection virus can be easily removed by following the steps found in our Next Page. We have tested the instruction you will find on the Next Page and they will work 100% of the time, when they are performed exactly as they are written.
Remove Antimalware PC Safety Virus

Antimalware PC Safety is the latest virus to be found by our global virus detection network. It has been identified as a rogue Malware application which can cause harm to PC’s infected with it. See our Easy 3-Step virus removal instruction to remove Antimalware PC Safety.

Antimalware PC Safety

A new class of virus is currently infecting computers around the world. The Antimalware PC Safety virus is marketing itself through Internet pop-up ads to look like a Windows system window. Unfortunately, once the Antimalware PC Safety virus is installed, it is an extremely difficult virus to remove. The pop-up window the virus uses looks like a system window for a program that is already installed called Smart Fortress. This window begins alerting the user of potential threats throughout their computer. It goes through a fake virus scan process that then warns the computer user that multiple horrible threats have been found. Once the virus is installed, there are not many antivirus programs with a remove Antimalware PC Safety virus options.

Antimalware PC Safety screenshot

The Antimalware PC Safety virus is so difficult to remove because of the permissions the user allows the virus when accepting the offer from the pop-up window. This allows the program to be installed throughout the file system. It also allows the program to align itself to the starting programs that begin each time the computer is booted. This means every time the computer is running, the virus is already up and running in the background. With this functionality, the virus can not only slow down the computer, it can reset Internet browser functions and transfer potentially damaging information about the user across the Internet.
