What better way to beat the heat and shock the kiddos. . . than with a water balloon pinata free-for-all?!
* I found that these balloons are quite heavy when full. Hanging the balloons with regular yarn didn't cut it. Also, the fuller the balloons, the easier they pop. These puppies didn't break without some SERIOUS whacking. I highly suggest filling yours with more water.

We are ready for spring and St. Patrick's Day!

That is my little leprechaun doing a "ring and run" as we like to call it. We'll make treats for a holiday - or any other good reason - leave them on the doorstep of a friend, ring the door bell and run!

The treat this time is our version of leprechaun's gold: Pretzel nuggets covered in yellow candy melts. So Tasty!!!

Happy New Year!
Yes I'm a little late... granted that isn't a surprise to those who know me. But just to give a report: I've spent all of this year so far either sick, or caring for someone in the family sick. I'm sure most of you are too judging by the number of people I've talked to who have been sick recently as well.

I've had lots of fun ideas pop into my head these last few weeks... so be sure to check back for some fun ideas soon!

Oh yes, and apparently my internet provider is slacking. I have discovered that I have only been getting a portion of my emails since around Thanksgiving. If you emailed me and haven't heard back from me - please contact me again. I do my best to respond to all my emails within 24 hours.

In the meantime, check me and the hubby out in our styling scrubs from our latest family health drama. We are stylin' for sure! (P.S. The hubby is home doing fine now).

Halloween is just around the corner, but I've got Christmas on the brain and I'm wishing for chilly temps to match my mood. Mini-me is getting as giddy and willingly struck a pose while helping me plan out some holiday mini-session backdrops.

That's right folks. I'm stepping into new territory. In effort to make the holidays a little less stressful for myself, as well as help all my wonderful clients get their cards completed in a timely manner. . . I"ll be offering studio style mini sessions. I'm still working out the details, but if you've been a client of mine in the past, please go ahead and let me know if you're interested in this kind of situation.

Let the Countdown Begin

In all the excitement around here lately, I almost forgot to post about this ADORABLE idea for a countdown to Halloween that I saw somewhere on the internet. I'm lucky it was an easy project concept, because now a month after I made these, I cannot find the instruction link to these. So, "Thank you oh creative on who posted this project on the internet, you've brought those dear to me great joy."

Be on the lookout for more projects with modge podge (that is the product I used to adhere the paper to wooden blocks) because that stuff is amazing. I can't believe I haven't tried this product sooner!

I've been busy helping fund raise for the school that is. Just thought I'd let you all know why I haven't posted much lately. It's due to all these little buggers....

In case you're itching to make 100's of hair accessories yourself, I highly suggest a trip to youtube, especially HERE. I found tons of helpful tutorials there, as well as suggestions for websites to buy in bulk. The very best tip I found was about 'sealing' the edges of the ribbon so they don't fray. I went with the wood burning tool. It worked like a champ. For obvious reasons, it's best to use it when little ones are asleep and it must be kept out of reach.

Now I'm off to bandage my burnt little fingers. Hot glue is not your friend when it touches your skin. Yikes!

Senioritis

It's official. . . I have senioritis. That is, wishing I had all the time in the world to photograph this stunning high school senior. I've known her for years and the only reason I stopped photographing her was the setting sun. Thank goodness this teen was polite enough to tolerate my camera in her face all afternoon. She was awesome!
