Tottenham and Republic of Ireland striker Keane joined his boyhood idols in the Scottish Premier League in a transfer-deadline day deal at the beginning of February in an attempt for Celtic to rescue their season.

The 29-year-old has scored eight goals in eight games and is due to return to Spurs this summer. However, rumours have been circulating that Celtic will attempt to talk Spurs into extending the loan into next season.

“I don’t see us loaning Robbie out again,” Redknapp told the Scottish Sun newspaper.  “We paid a lot of money for him. So it’s not something I see happening. It would obviously be up to the chairman but I couldn’t see it being a possibility. I certainly would not want it to be happening. We want him back so in my mind there’s no way of another loan deal.”

Spurs Want Keane Back Next Season

After the game had ended, about 100 hooligans went onto the pitch and chased the players off the field and threatened them with flagpoles which they then used to vandalize the bench area.

Twenty-three of the people were positively identified and have been told personally by the club that they will be banned from all football matches in Germany until July 2013.

“There is absolutely no excuse for this behaviour,” stated Berlin’s general manager Michael Preetz. “For this reason, we have not shown any leniency with the punishment. All those who have been given stadium bans have been clearly identified.”

The hooligans are also facing police action for breach of the peace and for the damage they caused during the pitch invasion.

Hooligans Banned For Three Years

Defoe Sidelined With Injury

With regular Philadelphia goalie Ray Emery already injured for the rest of the season, the Flyers will now have to rely on Brian Boucher to play in net for the rest of the current campaign. Leighton was apparently injured while playing the puck at the 9:45 mark of the first period.

“I went out to get the puck and it got away from me and I just went back on my leg and felt my ankle pop,” he stated. “It was just the way I fell backwards. I felt something pop, and it didn’t feel good.”

Leighton said he doesn’t feel any pain when he stands straight, but it hurts when he crouches forward in a goalie stance. He added that he will know more after an MRI is completed.

Flyers Lose Another Goalie

The incident took place at the 2:22 mark of the second period and Wisniewski was given a two-minute minor penalty for charging on the play. However, Seabrook suffered an injury after receiving the hit to the head.

Wisniewski was also suspended by the league for two games on Oct. 31, 2009 and is now considered to be a repeat offender under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.  According to the contract, he will have to forfeit $268,292.72 in salary, based on the number of 82 games in the season.  The money will be forwarded to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
