First, as those of you who get the newsletter know, a new Tlin story – a bit of a check-in with Maddy, Kyle, and Julian – is coming out in a huge antho on August 5. The proceeds from that anthology benefit Reach Out and Read, a literacy charity.

The collection includes stories by Kate Pearce, Crystal Jordan, Keri Ford, Mima, Zoe York, and Marie Hall, along with many others. There are a total of 40 different stories, so there’s a lot there for under a buck. Yes, that’s right. The collection will be selling for $0.99.

For those of you who don’t want the anthology, I’ll be releasing the story later this year as a short standalone. Another Tlin story is coming, late summer/early fall (seriously – who thinks of September as summer? Sure, the equinox is Sept 23, but… really?).

There’s also a new fantasy serial that will begin releasing next month. The full story arc of the initial story is in three episodes, and each episode is novella length. The new episodes will be released every other week, for release dates of  August 22, September 5, and September 19. Tell me what you think of those, since I’m considering doing more of them if you like them. The heads up on that is that the fae – at least the British fae – suffered a catastrophic magical plague which devastated their population, particularly women. They have so few fae women left that they are in real danger of dying out. Most of the men have bonded in pairs (or more), but there are still too few women – so they have to start looking to the human world for mates.
