Nearly 35 years after Star Trek: The Animated Series was carried on Saturday mornings by NBC, a fan of the Filmation show has produced his own episode, entitled "And Let the Heavens Fall." "Ever since I was a kid I've always loved animation," explained Curt Danhauser, who worked as a researcher in the Star Trek Art Department from 1995 to 2001 for Paramount Pictures. "I am also a fan of Star Trek and a writer," so creating new episodes of the animated Trek is "a dream project for me."

SAN DIEGO, CA (November 19, 2009) – Taverncraft, a subsidiary of 3 Point Entertainment LLC, today announced the acquisition of a multi-year worldwide license agreement with Middle Earth Enterprises to produce drinkware based on the fantasy masterpieces The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien. License rights include collectible steins, mugs and tankards. Scheduled to debut in early 2010, the first release under the new agreement will be the start of a series of collectible steins based on The Hobbit. The stein series will launch with Smaug the Magnificent, illustrated by premier fantasy artist Matthew Stawicki.

I took home a healthy dose of reading material, so let's get to it: NOT the cover of Flash: Rebirth #5 -- but it's close!1. The Flash: Rebirth #5 of 6. Geoff Johns continues to intrigue and amaze as he re-defines the Scarlet Speedster for DC Comics. Ethan Van Sciver's art pulls me in and makes me feel I'm experiencing what Barry Allen is going through, particularly the third page in the issue. Wow!
