Bring your tuner along if you'd like to upgrade from either version 2.2 or 3.0. The update to version 3.1 costs £5, and offers enhancements from earlier versions such as:

- An Auto-gain function allowing a tuner to be plugged into any set of Saul Tuner sensors on any set of pipes without re-calibration,

- Pro Mode that gives a finer resolution and greater accuracy for high level players

- Faster reaction time and smoother response, allowing quicker and more accurate tuning

New Saul Drum Tuner launch!

New Saul Drum Tuner launch at Drumming For Drinks

We're proud to announce that the new Saul "Bass & Tenor" drum tuner will be launched at Drumming For Drinks at the Todd Bar on August 12. The tuner has been developed by Mark Saul with input and testing by Tyler Fry & Scott Currie.

Here's what Tyler Fry has to say about it:
"The concept is exactly what we need in pipe band bass sections. I'm really excited about seeing this system being used in bass sections around the world. This system turns my dream into a reality!"

To celebrate the launch, we're going to be giving away a drum tuner on the night of Drumming for Drinks.

The new Bass & Tenor tuner uses the same innovative sensor technology as the Saul Bagpipe tuner, allowing accurate drum tuning in even noisy environments. Combined with the Saul Bagpipe tuner, the new drum tuner tuner creates a "whole-band tuning system" that is now being employed by top Grade 1 bands such as House of Edgar Shotts & Dykehead and Peel Regional Police. The entire Shotts midsection is now fitted out with Saul Drum tuners, making the band a working model for the tuning system.

Scott Currie says, "With the pipe corps using the Saul Bagpipe tuning system, both systems combined are the most accurate means of having consistent tuning between pipes and percussion"

Come see the tuner in action
Under the direction of P-M John Cairns, Peel Police have been using the Saul Bagpipe tuner extensively not only to tune their pipe corps, but also to improve the piper's tone blowing skills. "The Saul tuners have definitely had their impact with us. They have taught the pipers to hear the correct intervals and have proven to be a great aid in setting up the band." said John Cairns.

This year Peel Police have steadily risen in the piping results this season in Ontario, achieving a first in piping points at their most recent competition. To see the tuner system demonstrated, come along to Peel's "open practice" at the Piping Centre on Thursday 13 August at 5:30 pm.

Shop Now Online!

The online shop is now up and running at the Saul Tuner website!
You can now also purchase individual sets of sensors and brackets as well as single tuner units.
