    <content type="html">I thoroughly recommend that you read ‘The Goal’ by Eliyahu M. Goldratt. This is a real eye-opener to how businesses work and their interdependences with the people that work in them, relationships with people outside them, customers, suppliers and the business and social environments in which the business operates. I was introduced to this book a long time ago at a client site in Chicago, where the book was issued to all new recruits (consultants as well as employees) as a matter of course.
