<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p style="text-align: center;">I was out the door early to babysit for my two younger grandchildren yesterday and then finished getting ready for my downline meeting last night so I haven't had time to get a project onto my blog.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">But, I do have a really funny story to tell you.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Tuesday morning, <span style="color: #ff0000;">Valentines,</span> my daughter, Shelly, wanted to go into her son's kindergarten classroom to help with their Valentine partyl </p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I wanted to use <em><strong><span style="color: #0000bf;">Stampin' Up!'s new Cookie Press</span></strong></em> to make <em><strong><span style="color: #0000bf;">Valentine cookies</span></strong></em> with the two younger children while she was gone.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Soooooooooo, I <span style="color: #0000bf;"><em><strong>got up at 5:30 a.m. to mix up the cookie dough.</strong></em></span>  As I was mixng up the butter and eggs, my Cuisinart mixer's motor took off like a turbo jet!  I have NEVER heard it go so fast.  <em><strong>The lever on the top of the mixer had broken and I couldn't even shut it off!</strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong>So here I am......</strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong>I am trying to be quiet because it is so early in the morning</strong></em>....that's not happening!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I<em><strong>'m trying to mix up the dough for the cookies</strong></em>....but I've got this "jet engine" in my hand that won't turn off!...so that's not happening either!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I quickly realized that I would have to unplug the mixer from the wall.  So I pulled out the plug.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0000bf;">However, <em><strong>I hadn't added the flour yet!</strong></em></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Have you ever thought about adding flour to a mixture with a mixer that is going at a turbo jet speed???!!!!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">So, I added a little flour,</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Plugged in the mixer.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Flour flew out of the pan. Some flour got mixed in.  Unplugged the mixer!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Added a little more flour.  Plugged in the mixer.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Flour flew out of the pan.  Some flour got mixed in. Unplugged the mixer!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> <span style="color: #0000bf;"><strong><em>(You can't mix the flour in by hand because they are shortbread type cookies and the dough  is a little stiffer.)</em></strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I'<em><strong>m still thinking about how noisy this jet turbo mixer is at 5:30 in the morning!</strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong>Yes, there is flour all over the counter.<br /></strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I had to plug it in at least 5 or 6 times to get all of the flour into it!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0000bf;">It was kind of like a Laurel and Hardy situation<span style="color: #111111;"> only</span>,</span> I was trying to deal with it all by myself.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">It was one of the funnier situations that I have run into on my own!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The cookies, by the way were <em><strong>FABULOUS</strong></em>! <span style="color: #0000bf;"> My </span>cookie sheets in <span style="color: #0000bf;">my daughter's oven</span> produce cookies that you could easily sell!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Jeremey and Jaelyn had fun eating the dough and pressing the shapes down into the cookies.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong>If you haven't tried the cookie press yet, you should consider it.</strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> <span style="color: #0000bf;">#127081 Occasions Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps:</span>  includes three presses:  a bunny, a flower, and a Shamrock with a nice quality wooden handle.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0000bf;">#125152 Holidays Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps:</span>  includes three presses:  a Pumpkin face, a Snowflake, and a Heart, and the wooden handle, $16.95; Occasions Mini page 40.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong>Thank you for stopping by!</strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em>  <strong>Hope you have a great three day weekend!</strong></em></p></div>

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p style="text-align: center;">This idea was inspired by Patty Bennett's post yesterday.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I know that I said I would share a tutorial for the box that I showed you yesterday.  However, today I had to get ready for my local downline meeting tonight, so I worked on Easter ideas all day.  So sorry about that!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">So here is my little "Chick Box".</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">There is a quick tutorial for this after the first two pictures.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The finished size of this box is 2 1/2"long (the front) and 1 1/2" wide (the sides).</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong>It's adorable, <span style="color: #0000bf;">FAST</span>, and just perfect for a co-worker's desk or a lot of other people who I can think of!</strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b188330167626d28fb970b-pi" style="display: inline;"><img alt="ChickBoxfront" border="0" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e553d572b188330167626d28fb970b" src="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b188330167626d28fb970b-800wi" title="ChickBoxfront" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Here is the back.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b188330167626d346f970b-pi" style="display: inline;"><img alt="ChickBoxBack" border="0" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e553d572b188330167626d346f970b" src="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b188330167626d346f970b-800wi" title="ChickBoxBack" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Here is a quick tutorial followed by the supplies.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Cut out one Square Scallop using the Bigz Die. Score at<em><strong> "TWO SCALLOPS"</strong></em> in one direction.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b188330168e76efa67970c-pi" style="display: inline;"><img alt="TutOne" border="0" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e553d572b188330168e76efa67970c" src="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b188330168e76efa67970c-800wi" title="TutOne" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Turn the square and score at <em><strong>"THREE SCALLOPS"</strong></em> in the other direction.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b18833016301780bfe970d-pi" style="display: inline;"><img alt="Tut2" border="0" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e553d572b18833016301780bfe970d" src="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b18833016301780bfe970d-800wi" title="Tut2" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0000bf;"><em><strong>HOW YOU CUT THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!</strong></em></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0000bf;"><em><strong>Cut in from the sides that have the "THREE SCALLOPS".</strong></em></span> Cut from the edge up to the first score line .  Cut in this manner on the two opposite sides of the scallop.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Then add Sticky Strip like this on two of the flaps at one end.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b18833016301780e39970d-pi" style="display: inline;"><img alt="Tut3" border="0" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e553d572b18833016301780e39970d" src="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b18833016301780e39970d-800wi" title="Tut3" /></a><br /><br /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Adhere these flaps.  Add more Sticky Strip like you see below. Then close up the box.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b18833016301780fe9970d-pi" style="display: inline;"><img alt="Tut4" border="0" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e553d572b18833016301780fe9970d" src="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b18833016301780fe9970d-800wi" title="Tut4" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Make sure that you add the "CHICK" to the side where the flaps on the side are folded back from the front..  You want the front side to look smooth.  I hope that makes sense!</p>

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p style="text-align: center;">Since you saw the scallop circle card yesterday, today will be a perfect time to show you a new scallop circle that I just designed for a workshop that I am having at the end of the month.  My hostess, Teri, comes to my classes and saw a gift idea that she wanted me to make at her workshop. </p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I just needed to redesign it using current colors.  So I chose the FREE Sale-a-bration DSP, Everyday Enchantment.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">So here is the card first.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b188330163016a8b6f970d-pi" style="display: inline;"><img alt="Giftboxcard" border="0" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e553d572b188330163016a8b6f970d" src="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b188330163016a8b6f970d-800wi" title="Giftboxcard" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">This is made the same way as the card on my blog yesterdy.  When you open it, the back side of the card is smooth so that you can easily write on it.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><em><strong>Supplies:</strong></em></p>
<ul>
<li>Card Stocks:  Pool Party, Very Vanilla, and Everyday Enchantment, which is FREE during Sale-a-bration (SAB) with a $50 subtotal order.</li>
<li>Big Shot:  #113468 Scallop Circle pg 222 $19.95; #113469 Scallop Circle #2 pg 222 $19.95; #120175 Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder pg 219 $7.95;</li>
<li>Punch:  #120906 2 1/2" Circle Punch pg 212 $16.95;</li>
<li>Accessories:  #122975 Pool Party 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon pg 194 $9.95;  Mini Glue Dots pg 206;</li>
</ul>
<p>Notes:  <span style="color: #0000bf;">For this card, just fold an 8 1/2"x 5 1/2" piece of Very Vanilla in half.  Place it on the Scallop Circle Biz Die so that the folded part of the card is just a little under the top of the scallop.  This way, when you run it through the die, the top of the card will not be cut and you will end up with a fold.</span></p>
<p><em><strong>I was able to punch out <span style="text-decoration: underline;">ELEVEN</span> 2 1/2" circles for 11 cards from one of the 12 x 12 pieces</strong></em> <strong>of the Everyday Enchantment DSP.</strong></p>
<p>I'll give you a sneek preview of the gift card holder.  I'll put a <em><strong><span style="color: #0000bf;">free tutorial</span></strong></em> on my blog <em><span style="color: #0000bf;"><strong>on Thursday.</strong></span></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b188330163016a9720970d-pi" style="display: inline;"><img alt="GiftBoxfront" border="0" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e553d572b188330163016a9720970d" src="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b188330163016a9720970d-800wi" style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title="GiftBoxfront" /></a><br /><em><strong>Thank you for stopping by!</strong></em></p></div>

<p style="text-align: center;">As much as I love her colors, I decided that I was going to challenge myself to use some DSP that I have on hand!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">So.......... I changed the colors fit the Big Top Birthday DSP.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">We're making my version of Kim's card in my <em><strong><span style="color: #0000bf;">stamp clubs this week. <span style="color: #111111;">Of course, you could chose from a variety of sayings.</span></span></strong></em></p>

<p style="text-align: center;">I didn't leave Glendale until 5:00 p.m. because Shelly and I went shopping at an amazing sale at Macy's.  They had racks of clothes from 50-70% off and yes I got some new tops for my birthday!  Thank you, Shelly!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I thought that it would take me at least an hour to get home at that time of day (It usually takes 20ish minutes!)  But I was home in 30 minutes!  Wow!!!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Anyway, when I got home at 5:30, this is what I found sitting on my counter from my son, Brad:</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">My dad, Otto, his friend, Olive, my son,Brad, and I out went out to eat at Chiles last night!</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Birthdays are once a year, right!?!  So a few birthday indulgences are allowed!!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Well, here they are!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Guacamole (I never get appetizers, because I fill up on them!)</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Can you just IMAGINE how yummy this guacamole was?!  Oh, my saliva glands are right now reliving it's goodness!!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b18833016300e79815970d-pi" style="display: inline;"><img alt="B'dayguacamole" border="0" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e553d572b18833016300e79815970d" src="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b18833016300e79815970d-800wi" title="B'dayguacamole" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">And then, of course, we let the restaurant know that it was my birthday.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Hmmmmmmm???? I wonder what they will bring when they sing Happy Birthday?</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Do I ever eat brownines??  Really, I never do!  They are just too sweet for me.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">You will notice however, that some of this brownie is missing, and no one else was having any!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">It was <em><strong>melt-in-your-mouth delicious</strong></em>!!!  (I did finish the ice cream.  Brad helped me a little)</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b18833016300e7a9ab970d-pi" style="display: inline;"><img alt="B-dayBrownie" border="0" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e553d572b18833016300e7a9ab970d" src="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b18833016300e7a9ab970d-800wi" title="B-dayBrownie" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">And today I am having lunch with my daughter and my three grandchildren.  We are going to go shopping for some new clothes after lunch, so I will be having a salad. Can you even stand it!  I am going to be so good!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Tonight is Stamp club so <em><strong><span style="color: #0000bf;">LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!!!!!</span></strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong><span style="color: #0000bf;">This is going to be a fun day and a fun week!!</span></strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><span style="color: #111111;"><strong>Wish you were here!!  Please <a href="mailto:sandy@sandystamper.com" target="_self">e-mail me</a> and say "HI"!</strong></span><strong><span style="color: #0000bf;"><br /></span></strong></em></p>

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p style="text-align: center;">Recently I posted a favorite idea from my Leadership Trades created by Karen Duke.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I want my Stamp Clubs to be able to make ithis card this week, but I don't have enough Concord Crush DSP for everyone.  So I decided to see if I could find an alternate color scheme that also pops!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Here is Karen's card, which I love!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b18833016300d81be9970d-pi" style="display: inline;"><img alt="Karen--Duke" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e553d572b18833016300d81be9970d" src="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b18833016300d81be9970d-320wi" title="Karen--Duke" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">And here is my card with new color scheme with Tempting Turquoise, Sahara Sand and Black.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">   <a href="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b188330168e6ceffe9970c-pi" style="display: inline;"><img alt="Penguin-Blue" class="asset asset-image at-xid-6a00e553d572b188330168e6ceffe9970c" src="http://sandystamper.typepad.com/.a/6a00e553d572b188330168e6ceffe9970c-320wi" title="Penguin-Blue" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I don't have the cute <span style="color: #0000bf;">Party This Way Sale-a-Bration set <span style="color: #111111;">that Karen used </span></span>so I subsituted something that I had.</p>
<p><em><strong>Supplies:</strong></em></p>
<ul>
<li><em><strong>Set:  #111664 On Your Birthdy pg 163 (set of 12) $33.95  (<span style="color: #0000bf;">I</span><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="color: #0000bf;"> used a marker because I didn't want the little dots underneath the words</span>)</span></strong></em></li>
<li>Card Stocks:  Basic Black, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie and #117155 Brights Collection Paper Stacks pg 186 $21.95(40 shts); #117157 Neutrals Pper Stack pg 187 $21.95 (for the hat);</li>
<li>Ink:  Basic Black Ink pg 180;</li>
<li>Punches:  #118074 Owl Builder Punch pg 213 $16.95; #119873 3/4" Circle Punch pg 212 $10.95; #119881 Three Heart Punch <span style="color: #0000bf;"><strong>(The largest heart cut in half works great for the arms!)</strong></span></li>
<li>Accessories;  #124145 Basic Black 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon 195 $7.95;</li>
</ul>
<p><em><strong>Notes:</strong><strong><span style="color: #0000bf;"> I mounted the owl and the balloons with dimensionals. I drew the balloon strings in by hand. The little black part of the eyes is from the owl punch.  I put them through the Xyron machine before i attached them. Punch the owl a second time to get the Pumpkin feet.  The black c/s in the center of the card is 3" wide by 3 3/4" long.</span></strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #111111;"><em><strong>Who knows!  Maybe you'll come up with yet another cute color combination for this design!!</strong></em></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong><span style="color: #0000bf;"><span style="color: #111111;">If you do, Please<a href="mailto:sandy@sandystamper.com" target="_self"> e-mail me</a> a copy of it!!!</span><br /></span></strong></em></p>
<ul style="text-align: center;">
