Hello Folks. . .   Happy Friday, I hope all is well.  I've been playing with some of the new products from the catty that will be released on June 1st.  When SU announced they were retiring all the stamp pads and changing them out to a new foam pad I thought OUCH.  But boy oh boy I'm sold. 

The new In Colors for this year are very bold and striking.  I can't believe the difference in the quality of my image when you use the new stamp foam pads.  Over the years I have developed some health issues with my hands from over use.  These new pads are amazing.  I hope you can tell from my picture how striking the images are.  I barely had to use any pressure at all and look at the great image I got.  Over time I will definitely replace my ink pads with the new foam pads.

2012-2013 In Colors
(Gumball Green, Midnight Muze, Summer Starfruit,
Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple)

My inspiration today comes from a combination of ideas that I found while browsing the world wide web out there.  It featues four of the new In Colors for this year (Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green and Midnight Muze).  My stamp set is new and it's called Betsy's Blossoms.  It is whimsy yet modern in style.  My sentiment is from Friendly Phrases W126149/C126151.  It has become one of my go to sets for sentiments.

I used several Cool Tools.  The pretty edge was done with the Adorning Accents Edgelit Die from the Occasions Mini.  Click here to view what had been carried over.  I also used the matching Embossing Folder for a little pizzazz.  For the little flower I used our 1/2" Circle Punch #119869 and for the larger flower I cut it out with our Paper Snips #103579.  These scissors have a sharp pointed tip to get into small areas.  My Designer Paper is also new.  It called Comfort Cafe' and features all of the new 2012-2013 In Colors.

Hello Folks. . .    Happy Monday.  Today is catch up day for me.  The Royals had a fantastic tournement week end.  They took 1st place and received very nice tophey's.

Today I have another card featuring our Paper Doily Die Cut and our Framelits from the Labels Collection.  My colors are Whisper White, Concord Crush, Designer Paper from our retired Sweet Shop Specialy Paper.  It's a simple layout with a banner at the bottom.  My happy birthday comes from the Hostess Set Happiest Birthday Wishes.  My flowers are from the set Best of Everything W123534/C123536.  I punched the little flower from our BoHo Blossoms Punch #119858 and added a large pearl.

Happy Friday folks. . .   OMG the new catalogs arrived yesterday.  Even with all the changes have no fear Stampin' Up has done us proud.  The book is just as nice as before.  My pre order arrives today, just the perk up this little lady needs.  Can't wait.

Today I have this weeks MOJO Sketch to share with you.  Not much stamping going on.  It's all about the paper.  LOL  My card base is Island Indigo and it is matted with several different layers of our new Summer Smooches Designer Paper.  This colorful and fun paper will be available on June 1st.  My stamp set is the coordinating Bright Blossoms and my large flag tag is embossed with our Square Latice Embossing Folder #123128.  I added some retired 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon from several years ago.  I think it does a pretty good job, don't you.  My thanks comes from the retiring set Thank You Kindly #111700.  I love the curly font on this one.

Hello folks. . .  What a grand day it is here in ole' MO this morning.  Sun is shining and we are on our way to reaching 70 degrees today.  Woo Hoo !!!  

Today I would like to share with you a cute Birthday Card using Stampin' Ups Patterned Party (W123065/C123067).  This set will take you from the very young to us folks that are a little farther in life.  Today for my card I choose to use the cute Happy Birthday Banner.  My card base is Cherry Cobbler embossed with our Stripes Embossing folder #123128.  Of course everyone has to have a chocolate cake with a sparklely candle on top.  I used the sentiment from Bring On the Cake set (W121899/C121958.  Punched it with our Extra Large oval Punch #119859 and nested it with a Cherry Cobbler 1 3/4" Scallop Circle #119854.  For pizzazz I added some shimmery retiring brads. 

On the inside I stamped the cute presents and added some more sentiments. 

That's it for me folks.  I'm still a lady in waiting.  Mr. Brown should be on his way with some new products to play with.  Personnally I can't wait. 

We have a tournament this week end, so I better start getting ready for Stamp Club next week.  Open House will be here before I know it too.  Lots of things to do, just need to keep my mind focused.  That's the hardest thing for me right now.  It's been six months since I lost my hubby and instead of getting easier it gets harder every day.

Today I have a clean and simple card to share.  It's for Father's Day.  My colors are Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White.  My words are from Happiest Birthday Wishes.  This hostess set is only available till the end of the month.  My dp is retired Frostwood and my die cut letters are non SU.  To keep this masculine I used our Houndstooth Embossing Folder and added some gold brads.  My corners where punched with our Corner Ticket Punch.  It's simple in style but I think it will bring a smile to his face.  Don't you. 

Just a heads up, when the catty is released I will be having a Ribbon Share.  Not sure what it will be just yet.  I'll know more when I actually see the catty.  and yes I will be having an Open House.  Tentitive date is Saturday June 2nd.

Hello Folks. . .  Happy Monday.  Hope you all had a fantastic weekend.

Today I would like to share with you a card that features our Paper Doily Die Cut.  If you still have a copy of the Occasions Mini you can find it on pg 7.  It is a very intricate die and a little bit time consuming but well worth the effort.  For my card I cut a couple of them out with Very Vanilla cardstock and trimmed one of them down to make a smaller shaped doily.   Actually depending on how you trim it out you can make four or five different shaped doilies.  Next I punched a 2 1/2" circle from our new Summer Smooches paper.  It will become available again when our new catty is released on June 1st.  I also added a fabric brad which is no longer available.  My flowers come from the set called Raining Flowers (122765/122767).  I used Island Indigo and Calypso Coral ink.  My sentiment can be found in the set Friendly Phrases (126149/126151).  If you follow my blog closely you will know that I have become rather fond of this set.  It's a go too stamp set with phrases that are user friendly.  That cute little shape you see comes from our Sizzlits Die Set called Lots of Tags #114508.  This die cut has lots of cute shapes that puts a little pizzazz in your design.  Love it!!!!  Not sure you can see it, but for some glitz and glammer I used some of our Dazzeling Diamonds Glittler Glue on the fun scallop doily.    This is a great product, No Glitter Mess!!!!  Oh my, I think I forgot to mention that my card base is Crumb Cake topped with some dp from Summer Smooches.

Today I have a card to share using one of the Retiring Stamp Sets Trendy Trees #113258.  The card size is a little unusal, but we need to shake it up once in a while.  The cardbase is a 6" square scored at 3".  The Small Open End Envelopes #107286  are also on the retired list.  (A lot of the items on the Accessories Retired List are being reconfigured, I hope these envelopes will be back).  For a little pizzazz I used a lot of punches on this card.  The Scallop Trim Border Punch, the Scallop Square Punch, the Word Window Punch and the Modern Label Punch.  A Stamp A Ma Jig #101049 is also a must have for this stamp set.  It saves paper and will make your life much easier.  LOL  My colors are So Saffron, Early Expresso and the designer paper is from Twitterpated.

Hello Folks. . .  Happy Wednesday.  Today I have an oh so cute card today using Punch Art.  This card is cased from the talented Diana Gibbs. 

First up is my cardbase of Whisper White.  Next layered with Choc. Chip and a piece of designer paper from Sweet Shop (ret).  My focal point layer is Choc Chip and Whisper White.   I used our Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder to jazz it up a notch,

My cone is very easily made with several different punches.  The cone was stamped with the set called Pennant Parade W122740/C122742 and punched with our Petite Pennants Builder Punch #122361. 

For my ice cream we used a couple of punches.  First cut a strip of cardstock at 1 3/4".  Next take your strip and slide it up in the Scallop Oval Punch #119856.  We have done this before with other punches.  Your strip is acutally on top not inside the punch.  Center the scallops and punch.  (Don't be alarmed if it is difficult to insert, just keep positioning your strip and it will slide right in.)  Next take this same strip and punch it with your 1 1/4" Circle Punch #119861 just like you normally would.  Viola' you have a perfect ice cream scoop.  If this is too confusing you can go to Diana's video and watch her make one.  The cherry comes from the Cupcake Builder Punch # 121807 and the Sprinkles and Happy Birthday come from Create A Cupcake Stamp Set.

Hello Friends. . .  Oh my goodness, I feel so silly.  I made this card today thinking I could share with you some of the newer products.  Now I knew yesterday was the last day for the Occasions Mini but apparently I had a brain freeze.  But oh well, I'm going to share it today anyway just in case some of you folks did pick up some of these awesome products.

The cardbase is Calypso Coral.  I used the Hearts Impressions Folder.  Aren't the hearts just as cute as a bugs ear.  LOL  Next I cut a strip of Island Indigo and used our Scallop Trim Border Punch.  Love it!!!!!  My designer paper is from Sweet Shop.  My focal point is triple layered with Whisper White and Island Indigo.  For my hearts I used the Embosslits Die called Fashionable Hearts and my sentiment is from a current stamp set called Fabulous Phrases. 

Oh well, I hope you enjoyed the card and was able to take advantage of some of the awesome Stampin' Up products. 

I custom made my envelope with our Diagonal Scoring Tool.  It fits on top of our Simple Scored Tool.  It makes making envelopes a breeze.
