So here’s the deal. I figured it’d be time to post about this, since it is technically a personal venture. Normally, I don’t make a lot of blog posts, but I figure this deserves one. AceIRC is an IRC network that I’ve been working on, and working with, for a very long time now. As we’ve gradually began to die out, we’ve taken an initiative. Finally, I’ve decided to do my part to help in the regrowth of the network. The main channel, #datablab, used to be pretty active. It slowly died as the channel owners got less and less time for IRC — myself being one of them. As we’re redoing some of the servers, the DNS, and other network services, we invite you to be a part over at Ace. Honestly, we’re a friendly network with a straightforward, community-oriented channel of users that just like to converse.

Some have attempted to given us the reputation of a ‘bad network’ or even a ‘kiddie network.’ I’ve come to know that such terms are indeed false. I wouldn’t put so much time and effort into such a thing. Give Ace a go, ‘eh?

To connect, I’d recommend using the Chicago, IL server. Accessible in your IRC client at illinois.us.aceirc.org, port 6667. Don’t have an IRC client? I’d suggest using mIRC or X-Chat on the Windows Platform; X-Chat or Conspire on the Linux platform, or my old favorite–IRSSI.

Thanks for reading, and check us out. Doing so will validate for me that this post was indeed, useful.

Regards,

Hello, and welcome to my personal web presence. As I’ve evolved online, I’ve evolved my web presence to reflect. I’ve felt it’s time for a change. As I’ve lately found myself too busy to make even a blog post, I’ve decided to evolve the website once again. More or less, I feel this web page would be best as a professional web presence and portfolio. As the days go on, more will be added, and there’s a possibility for a site restyle very soon. Right now, the overall design will remain the same.

As I write this, I find myself satisfied. A personal web presence staying just that, and evolving. Why? Because I can. To be honest, I don’t really post very often, and I can honestly say that I don’t really think many people read said posts. Make a comment if you care to, doesn’t matter.

Mainly, this post is meant to be basically informative of what is supposed to be going on with this web page. I’ve decided to change it, to put it simply. Here, you’ll find the occasional blog post, but I’m going to try to gear the posts more to general or technology news, thoughts on such topics, et cetera.

As I evolve as a person in life, and online – shouldn’t my web presence grow as well? Thanks to anyone who reads this entry.

Regards,
