SAC Strengthens Links With University Of Malawi

The links between SAC and the University of Malawi were further strengthened by a visit to Bunda College by three SAC staff. They were there as part of the Scottish Government-funded project to improve smallholder dairying in the country.

Conference Delegates Beaming With Success

An innovative SAC approach to international conferences has been hailed as a great success. While contacting Auchincruive from Edinburgh or Craibstone from Kirkwall can be nail-biting, SAC’s live links to New Zealand worked a treat, with researchers in one hemisphere questioning colleagues in the other. Delegates left the event buzzing with ideas for future links.

Sheep Vets Look To Auchtertyre

SAC’s Hill & Mountain Research Centre at Auchtertyre near Crianlarich was visited recently by over 60 breakouts from the Sheep Veterinary Society's autumn conference. The Society, which is a division of the British Veterinary Association, was holding a three-day conference in Pitlochry on “Sustainable sheep production (principles of disease management)”.
