Very nice park & now that they are having the roads it should improve things. + Premium Sites are very long & have a unique setup in sharing a large green space with neighbor - Wi-Fi is slow & keeps dropping - a fair amount of noise from the nearby Interstate. Staff are extremely friendly & helpful.

A OK stop between Indio and Phoenix. Friendly staff. Sites are not marked. Park on grass/sand. No reservations. But the park was only about 1/3 full. I took two spaces and parked in C11/C12 facing south to get good satellite TV. Very hard water so I did not hook up water but used water from my fresh water tank. The park is 'run down' with very little maintenance taking place. Speed bumps - ugh. But for $22 a day well!

This is basically a good campground. Spot #90 was level. Wi-Fi and cable worked very well. Spots are way too close together. Bathroom/shower was clean and adequate. It took a long time for water to get warm so be persistent! There are tours to Grand Ol' Opry and other tours around the Nashville area. I took one of them. Greyline picked me up at the campground office. It was a very well done tour. I would stay here again.

In busy light industrial area right on big roadways, but quiet enough in the park. Excellent strong Wi-Fi free is a big plus. Low water pressure. Clean gravel/sand roads. Not scenic, but safe and decent for visiting Indianapolis area and very close to downtown Indianapolis area. Right off of 37 near 465. Convenient location. Near major shopping areas.

Lovely large Ohio state park on Route 58 slightly south of Lorain, just south of town of Oberlin (home of Oberlin College). Many sites, excellent paved roads, many long hiking trails, lake, very wooded, good facilities. Convenient and good dump site and water available. Enough room for everyone to bike, hike, relax. Quiet, easy to find. Go south on 58 through lovely farmland area and see Amish carriages on the road with you.

This park is not for everyone since it...s small, older, remote, and rugged with no recreational facilities such as a pool or playground. I would not recommend this park for children. Some sites have 50amp connections but not all of them worked when we were there. The sites are long and wide gravel/grass. Most sites have a large picnic table. A single small building houses the bathrooms/showers, laundry, kitchen, and a small sitting area. All were very neat and clean. There...s 1 washer and 1 dryer, $1.00 each. A code is required to enter the building to access the facilities. The park is very dark at night. If you want activity, stay somewhere else. If you want peace and quiet with a beautiful view, this is the place! Very nice owners. Located 6 miles south of Alpine on Texas 118 so it...s away from town but not too far. We had no cell phone service with AT&T. We would definitely stay here again. Free Wi-Fi with a low signal strength but a very steady connection.

Basically a grass/dirt parking lot with no trees and incredibly narrow sites. Our neighbor...s sewer connection was next to our picnic table. Pool but not much else to do. Great rates...we used passport America. Definitely fine for an overnight (close to the Interstate), but not a destination.

This is an old park but clean and well kept. It's in Southern Arizona so there are a lot of long term visitors for the winter months but everyone is very friendly. There is no Wi-Fi but it is within Verizon 3G digital range so you can get about 300Kbps on your Verizon card. Do not let a Magellan GPS guide you here or you might get stuck under a railroad bridge going to the wrong place. Instead, turn toward the river off AZ-95 when you see the huge "Blue Water Casino" sign. From there you will see signs to the RV park. The rate shown is a weekly rate. The Casino is very close (1000 Feet). Wal-Mart and Safeway are about a mile away in Parker.

My Family and I stayed here for the Halloween Festival weekend. I was very surprised to see just how many campers participated in decorating their sites for the weekend. They had so many activities for both children and adults alike. The staff here are great and very helpful if you need them. Look forward to returning next year. This is a campground you must visit if ever in the area.

This is a nice, very shady campground for an overnight. If it wasn't for cable, there's nothing to do but hike. Also, there is absolutely no sign indicating it's existence. At the beginning of very narrow Old Greensboro Road, drive about 2.4 miles to a heads up street, Carl Durham Rd., then continue to the next road on the right, Spring Hill. The Terrels Creek Baptist Church is on the right. Spring Hill is the entrance to the campground. We only had four cars packed behind us. I figure the locals are used to slow moving tractors, so we didn't impede them beyond patience.

This resort is outstanding; a must stay if you visit northern lower Michigan. Hearthside is a family operated condo resort, where service is a priority. Sites are exceptionally large, many with unique landscaping. Stream side lots are beautiful, but beware of lots too close to the fountains as afternoon breezes may send fountain mist in your direction.

This is a wonderful setting. Our campsite was quite spacious with plenty of trees and shade. The sites were well spaced from each other. We often felt like we were camping by ourselves in the woods. We had regular visits from elk. There were no hookups of course but water was easily accessible and there were central showers (fee) a short drive down the hill to the check-in area. The campground is only a short distance from the Canyon and the tourists but felt isolated from the crowds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed this campground very much. It is situated on a hill, has many trees and shade, and is framed by mountains. We stayed in the uppermost section and there was no road noise. There was an occasional train whistle in the distance which was quite nice to hear. Leveling was a little tricky due to the hilly area, but we managed OK. The staff offered additional blocks if we needed them. There was adequate space between the campsites, restrooms and showers were decent, and staff were friendly at check-in. We would definitely stay again.

This is a very nice park. It is easily accessible from I-40 even though there is considerable road construction underway. Our campsite was in the middle of the park and there was no road noise. There are trees throughout, park was clean overall, the restrooms and showers by the office were clean and spacious, and the laundry was decent sized. Staff were very friendly and helpful about the local area. The free breakfast is a plus. The only negative for us was the sites were fairly close together. We would definitely stay here again.

If you grew up on a family farm with a herd of cattle, sheep, goats and chickens this place will bring back memories. The same barnyard aroma and accompanying flying pests go right along with the animals. This KOA has pens near the office with goats, sheep and chickens for the campers to get close to along with a heard of sheep in a small pasture next to the entrance road. Not connected to the KOA but all along two sides of this large park is pasture land for a couple of herds of cattle who make themselves known. The first three days it was in the 80...s and the aroma got pretty ripe with lots of flies. Our last three days were cool, cloudy and wet. No smell or flies. So plan your stop here when it is cool. The park has nice facilities, a large dog park with many paved pull through sites in the short term area of the south half of the park. Leveling may be a challenge as the park is built on a rolling hillside and even when they try hard to grade the sites there is a still lot of slope to work with. The staff is friendly and the highway is far enough away so it isn...t noticeable. We came here for the wine country and the location worked out well. If the park were an island I would give it an 8 or 9. But as a destination park for the enjoyment of a family the surroundings do not make it enjoyable.

Great location; nice park. No hookups, showers, etc., but clean bathrooms and decent level sites, each with table and BBQ. I don...t see how they can offer this facility free of charge but was glad they did. We would return here in the unlikely event we want to revisit Canyon de Chelly (don't get me wrong; it is definitely worth one visit).

We were here for almost 2 weeks and enjoyed our stay. However, to enhance your stay I would suggest you obtain a site in the rear of the campground. The road noise from I-80 can be pretty intense and is 24 hours. We have never commented on local restaurants but in this case let me briefly rave about the Nodding Onion in Utica. If you want fried food skip it, but if you want to dine at reasonable prices this is the place.

We liked the concept of golf course integrated with the RV park. Our site was right across from the first tee and the golf course was not very busy. Management and staff are super nice and we were welcomed with open arms. Planned on spending one night but were there for three. We are Passport America members and they honor the 50% discount. We plan on returning at Wanee for more golf and camping.

RV parks in Kansas are few and far between. We "discovered" this one by necessity as the KOA we intended to go to further east in Wakeeny turned out to be closed for the season when we arrived (after calling ahead and being told that it would be open). We forged ahead to Oakley as darkness fell after a 500 mile run from central Missouri. This is a no frills park but has big spaces that are easy to get into (gravel). When we arrived we discovered that the owner was away at a conference. But she kept the park open and set things up for an honor system of payment. The Wi-Fi works wonderfully, unlike the situation at many more upscale parks that should and could have better systems. The park gets high marks because its here and the owner runs it conscientiously. We would recommend it for anyone in this neck of Kansas.

This is a large RV Park convenient to all of the Williamsburg and Jamestown Colony attractions. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It is located a bit off the beaten path on a two-lane road that affords a quite refuge from the hustle and bustle of Wliiamsburg. We were on a full hook-up drive-thru site. Sites are fairly close together, but well-maintained and surprisingly quite considering that the campground was almost full. They have a dog-run and large nature trail that affords some quite time for man and beast off the beaten path. Overall a convenient place to stay, close to shopping and outlet malls as well as tourist attractions.

This is a large, very busy campground close to all of the Virginia Beach attractions. There is also a tremendous number of things to do at the campground, ranging from miniature golf, to golf cart rentals to multiple swimming pools. We stayed on the "super sites" in the newer part of the park and while pricey, they were paved, immaculately landscaped and maintained, with garbage pickup at your site several times a day. The other part of the park is a significant step down. They have two great fenced-in dog runs as well. The one drawback -- and they should warn prospective campers about this on their website and in the brochures -- is that they are a stone throw away from Oceania Naval Air Station. The noise from jet aircraft is almost constant, depending upon wind direction, to the point of making it impossible to talk when they are practicing take-offs,landings, and formation flying.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The beach is wonderful and so peaceful. Our site (#4) could have been more level but we compensated. Dogs are welcome but not on the beach. Mosquitoes were not an issue. I'd love to come back again and again.

This is our first visit but won't be our last. We had a water site and parked facing the water. We enjoyed watching the sunset at night from our site. Lots of biking, walking, nice beaches, etc. Everyone from the check out to the store have been very friendly. I understand now why you have to make reservations 11 months in advance. The only item that could make this park better would be sewer hookups. We will return.

We pulled in on Saturday night and my dd20 came down with a fever with suspected H1N1. Soon my husband and I had it and we were in our RV for the next 2 weeks. Barry and Chong checked on us daily and even brought over homemade soup to help with the healing process. We have never stayed at a campground where we were made to feel more like family in a very thoughtful way. When we finally recovered enough to get out we were directed to hidden breathtaking scenic areas that matched our strength levels and given wonderful coupons for local shows. Definitely listen to Chong's and Barry's advise on getting to the campground and getting around the area. Three different nights, they had musical entertainment and Barry kindly made sure we knew about all of it. There is a little restaurant called Cobbly Nob Grocery, Cafe & Pizza that delivers after 5 P.M. Great chicken wings and hamburgers. This campground is one of the only ones in Gatlinburg to stay open year-round and we will definitely go back. We feel like family now.

This is a no frills RV park. We enjoyed the views, the close access to Red Canyon and Panguitch. Very nice staff. At first I wasn't thrilled with the park, however, retrospect is is very nice and I have great memories of the sunsets and great friends we met here. We moved to Ruby's near Bryce to visit the area and wish we had stayed at Red Canyon, lots of character.,

We stayed here for six weeks due to medical procedures. The staff and other RV's were very friendly. The park was very clean and enjoyable. We were not bothered by the trains that ran to the east of the park. There were laborers in tents on the east side of the track there were very good neighbors. We would definitely stay here again. We plan on staying here again.

This is a very nice park. Inexpensive for the high quality. Nicely landscaped and big spaces. Only criticism is that there is no cable TV. Wi-Fi works well. Very clean grounds and neatly manicured. A great experience--we will stay here again.

This is a nice park that could be a "home run" park if the owners did a bit more to jazz things up. On the plus side, the office is a very nice little log structure--very warm and cozy. Good bathrooms, dog run, etc. My only complaint is that our site was MUDDY. Gravel is readily available in the USA and the owners need to order some pronto. My coach wheels were caked with mud when we pulled out because the site was a mud hole. Many off the others, were too. But this park is nice overall and the night we were there was Halloween and there were lots of children trick or treating. The office staff was very nice. We'd stay here again IF they get gravel to the sites.

Nicely kept, older, wooded park. Layout was a little tight for larger rigs, but manageable. Price was a little high, but it was convenient to highway, quiet (only a little distant highway noise) and had reasonably good Wi-Fi.

Actually not a bad place for such a remote Texas location. The sites are long and not too close together. Each site has a small concrete pad and small wood table. The park is clean. Laundry: 3 washers, 4 dryers, $1.50 each. The park is located between the interstate, with a high volume of truck traffic, and the railroad, with frequent trains, it is very noisy. The park was offering a special: stay 2 nights and get the 3rd night free.. We would stay here again only for an overnight stop. Free Wi-Fi but very weak and slow.

I found this park after reading reviews here. What a great find! Clean, quiet park with large sites, we were in #1. There are native trees between the sites and with no one in the site next to us, we can't even see any of the other RV's. Owners are friendly and helpful and as mentioned in previous post, take pride in their small RV park. The showers are in a double wide manufactured home that also includes a rec room, workout room with weights, and a small laundry room. One washer and one dryer. They have a very large video/DVD collection which you are free to borrow from. There is also a book exchange. No cable TV, but local channels are available with antenna. Great Wi-Fi. When in the area, we would not hesitate to stay here again, in fact it will be our first choice.

Actually a nice smaller park with no frills. Wi-Fi was fine, no problems. We like the convenience of restrooms/showers on-site, but this was not a big issue. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Walking paths on property were really nice. Only real drawback is there was no signal for our cell phones; we had to be out on the highway (in the truck, not walking) to get a signal/reception. Some noise from FM 165 but sites farther back in park probably would not have that.

This is overall a nice park with very friendly owner and young workamping couple. Nice common area and some sites have great trees. The reason we will not be back is that the park is directly behind the post office and every morning we were awakened at 4 AM with the noise of a big mail truck being loaded. CLUNK CRASH BEEP CLUNK SCRAPE CLUNK. The noise off Hwy 281 was tolerable. Our site really needed the grass/weeds cut, as a result we were constantly picking burrs out of everything. Thought it odd that the park office was closed on weekends, when one would think the busiest time would be. Again, nice park and people (staff and other RVers) but unfortunate location.

Being a young family with three kids under the age of 12, this is a great campground relatively close to Pittsburgh. The lake is well stocked, swimming is at the beach area of the lake, and the camp sights are level, clean, and with a newer picnic table and fire ring. We tent camp and have stayed at Keystone several times. The camp seems very safe with the park rangers patrolling both day and night. I would definitely recommend Keystone for families with kids who may be just starting out with the camping idea.

This was the first tent camping trip for my family that was not in a state park. We were very impressed with this campground. The owners were very accommodating for my family, as we had an issue at arrival that was quickly resolved. The fishing was great, the lakes are well stocked and the family activities carried on throughout the weekend. I can't comment on big-rig camping or the like as we used a tent, but my family will be back to this campground in the future.

Oh my gosh, the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. This resort was excellent, sites were huge and the staff were remarkable. A must stay at in North Myrtle Beach. Some of the lake front sites have hot-tubs, Yeah hot-tubs. Family loved it and will return in the near future.

Old park, gravel sites, gravel roads. This is a VERY basic park but it is convenient on and off and good for a couple of days. There really aren't as many sites as they say because they put us (and everyone else in our row) in two sites because they were so short. The woman in the office is one of the nicest and most accommodating I've ever run across. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. The Wi-Fi was very reliable. Verizon service good.

We stayed for a week in a large, paved site facing the river. This is a beautifully landscaped campground with a friendly staff that went out of their way to be helpful. The peaceful setting and seeing eagles and deer across the river made this a memorable week. The RV resort is within easy access of I-40. We most definitely would return.

The campground is very nice with paved roads and sites. We camped in a motorhome backed up to the stream. Staff is very friendly. The rate was a Good Sam discount price, although extra is charged for 50 amp. There were two problems we encountered: 1) Even though there is a rule that all dogs must be leashed, we saw at least one or more large dogs unleashed every day of our stay. No one seemed to be monitoring this situation. 2) At times it was difficult getting on to the highway from Pine Mountain Road even though this was during the off-season time. The access road to Highway 441 is in the middle of Pigeon Forge. We have experienced the extremely heavy traffic in this area during the Summer and Fall months.

As of October 2009, this campground is under new management, and the couple who now own it are as friendly and accommodating as you could want. We mentioned that branches on a tree near the office needed to be trimmed as they rubbed on the side of the coach, and a few minutes later he was out there trimming the tree. Our site was level and everything worked as promised. We would definitely stay here again.

Generally a self service campground. Pick out a spot, fill out registration form on envelope, put payment in and drop through slot in door. Did not see anyone the weekend we were there. Nice playground, and pretty trout stream. Had a good wi-fi signal at spot 3. Would stay here again.

This park is very run down, probably due to hurricanes. The roads are dirt and the sites are grass. We stayed in site number 1 because it was closest to the Wi-Fi, which was fine, but elsewhere I don't think you would pick it up. There are many holes in the dirt road and the bath house was very dirty, I don't think it is ever cleaned. I think the main business is the "marina" and the RV park is an afterthought. We stayed here because they took Passport America and was near a meeting I had in town. The price is too high for what it is. On the positive side, it is right on the gulf and the view is spectacular.

This campground has 2 sides, a river (shade) and beach (sun). We were in the beach area. The sites are good size and easy to get into, all are back-in. There is no cable or sewer hookup. There is a designated swimming area which is not the beach area right at the camping area. You can drive, walk, or bike to it. We enjoyed this campground immensely. There are lots of opportunities for riding bikes on trail or road.

This park is very nice, easy in and out. There are gas pumps at the entrance so we were able to fill our motorhome while checking in. The store is well stocked. If you want you can order takeout sandwiches, salads, pizza or wings and they deliver to your site. We did not go into the bar but it looked nice. We would definitely stay here again.

This park was very nice. The store was well stocked and clean. The park is laid out well. We had a pull through site which was level and roomy. The only downside to this park is that it is 5 miles off the highway so if you are a overnight traveler it is a little bit of a drive. Very pretty area and park. We would stay here again.

We had to put 3 inches under our tires on the passenger side to level it and to keep our car attached for the night, we had to pull forward so far that we couldn't hook up to the septic. We were told they have a dump station. We would not stop here again.

This is a very nice park. Great reception with valet guide to our spot. We stayed in #116. Level pads with grassy areas between sites. Beautiful pool and hot tub area. We did not check the restrooms or showers outside of the lodge. The restrooms in the lodge were clean, and there was a nice big lounge with games and jig saw puzzles available. There is a nice path to walk down by the Sacramento River. It is not far off the freeway, but we did not hear much noise. There are stores and restaurants within walking distance. This was nice for us as we were just staying the night and did not want to unhook. The only reason we are not giving this resort a 10 is due to the train noise. The train went by at about 8:15pm and then again about 4:15am. We were awake at 4:15am as we were getting an early start that morning. Had we not been awake, I don't think we would have heard it. I would definitely stay here again.

This may be the cleanest, most well-run campground that we have ever stayed at. The owners take great pride in their facility and it shows; from garbage collection at the numerous trash cans several times a day, to spotless laundry and shower facilities to the owners constantly working at fall-plantings and facility upgrades. Convenient to Luray Caverns, the Skyline Trail and numerous other attractions.

I'm not sure what to make of this campground. As advertised, it is on a working farm. However, it is at the back of the farm with a tight access point for large motorhomes and fifth-wheels. The pool and campstore were closed during our 2-day stay in spite of nice weather and quite a few camp sites being full. The pull-through sites are rather tightly packed, and some are not very level. There are lots of smaller wooded campsites beyond the pull-throughs, but most look like they are largely unused and some are falling into disrepair. The owner seemed indifferent to campers and somewhat put-out when asked about advertised discounts. The only really compelling reason we found to stay here was the proximity to the Civil War battle sites.

The roads and sites are gravel, but well-maintained. Wi-fi was great. We stayed in the upper section near the office/laundry. Laundry was reasonable: $1.75 each for wash/dry. Office closes at 5pm. There was a very slight odor to the water, but had I not read the previous review, I probably wouldn't have noticed it. I also had good cell phone service (T-mobile). Nice pond in the upper section, river along the lower section. Bath house in each section (they are about 1/4 mile apart). We stayed for one night, but would stay here again.

This was an over-night stopping-off point for us on our trip South. It is easily accessible off Route 15 and relatively near Williamsport, Pa. It is under new management, and the current owners seems to be doing a great job of upgrading a campground that had been let run down by the previous owners. Sites are well-spaced, and the creek side sites are especially nice. A very quite campground off the beaten path with excellent stream fishing. We will stay here again, if for no other reason that to see how the new ownership is doing with their plans.

In spite of our trepidations at staying at such a large campground, this turned out to be a great place to spend a week off-season. We camped on the ocean side at the manager's suggestion -- in-spite of having booked a site on the bay -- and it was the right decision: We were one sand dune away from the vast expanse of ocean beach where you never felt crowded. This is a great park for dogs, as almost everyone walks their pets in both the campground and the beach. Camp Hatteras was very well-maintained, and the only real draw-back, as well as advantage is its location at Milepost 40.5: The disadvantage is that you have to drive almost everywhere. The advantage to that is once back at the campground it is peaceful, quiet and, of course windy!

Office staff were friendly. The roads and sites are sand. We could feel the RV sliding in the sand while driving, but we never got stuck. They claim to have wi-fi, but signal was too weak to connect, and that was on a site they said had good wi-fi. If you could connect, it was only valid for one hour. Our rate was with Passport America. We just stayed for an overnight, but if you didn't care about wi-fi, it looked like a nice place for a few days vacation.

I rated this one lower because it is a KOA and not what I would expect from one of their franchises. First, it was a little difficult to locate. The sign was somewhat hidden and the driveway looked like you were going to someone's private home (one lane). If it weren't for the leaves falling, I might have missed the campers parked back in there. Office/store looked like it was a store room, though clean. I was put in line of a triple pull-through, and it looked like I would have to wait for the other two to move out first in order to get out, but I was able to get out fairly easily the next morning. Grounds look old and the roadways could use some maintenance. For a KOA, I was disappointed and thought the rate was way over priced for what was there in comparison to other KOA's I have stayed at.

This is an extremely busy campground, even in mid-September. On the weekend we were there virtually every site was filled; mostly with families who knew one-another. The favorite pastime here seems to be riding around the park in suped-up golf carts, beverage in-hand and renewing friendships. (One could almost see why they gave up their KOA affiliation, as they seemed to have so much local business that it was not needed. Curious, therefore, why they picked-up the Good-Sam relationship.) We felt a bit out-of-place in our 40 foot motorhome as our unit barely fit onto the site. It appears that this place is really designed for trailers and fifth-wheels. The sites are very close together, and the roads are really crowded when campers and vehicles are packed-in so tightly. In spite of these draw-backs, the campground was very well maintained, dog-friendly and had many great places to walk along the river. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. This is a great kids-campground. We would stay here again, but only during the week.

When I placed my reservation, there were no pull-through's available. Upon arrival, the owner had me park my car trailer in an open area close to our site. We loved the little stream next to our site, which was shaded, clean and level. Staff very friendly and the grounds were very well maintained. Did not use bath facilities, so cannot comment on them. We spent a week here. This is one campground I would return to and would highly recommend to others.

This is a large campground that is very busy on weekends. However, it is well-maintained and very kid and dog friendly. The full hook-up, pull through sites that can accommodate big rigs are near the front of the park and relatively close together. The main reason I did not give this a higher rating was that the 50 amp service to our site (B-1)was faulty, and I had to work with the campground maintenance staff to show them that one leg of the 50-amp disconnect was seriously under-voltage. Thank goodness for our hard-wired power monitoring system. Overall a good jumping-off point for seeing the sites of Gettysburg.

This campground was surprisingly clean and camper-friendly. The sites were well-shaded, immaculately clean and, despite the fact that it was almost full on a weekend, there was no feeling of being over-crowded. This campground is a bit tricky to access, especially if coming from the West. I spoke to two families pulling fifth-wheels that barely made in through the twisting, narrow road leading to the campground. Access from the East is much easier. Once at the campground the roads are easily traversed.

Gorgeous dry camping area also; we spent a few days there waiting for electric site.

Beautiful. As good as it gets for state parks in Arizona, or anywhere for that matter. Very busy except for 'off' season, we have managed to camp here once in 3 efforts. Very pretty lots with lots of shade, gorgeous river frontage. Excellent (hilly!) hiking trails. Friendly camp people with very nice 'cactus' walk near gate. Bar and store, beach for those that can brave the chilly Colorado River. A wonderful park by any standards.

We have stayed here twice in 2 years, as the excellent Buckskin Mountain next door has been full. A good 'overflow' choice. Nice beach & river front, roads very easy to drive - it's a small park with big, mostly open sites. I'm not sure of the rate with electric; lets say $20-$23 a night. Bathrooms good; hilly hikes available above the campground and river. Buckskin (1 mile south) is the prize, but River Island will work.

I was not a happy camper here. I was given a pull-thru FHU site made up 2 sites situated back-to-front. These sites are on top of a high hill. Access to these sites is on a narrow, rough dirt road in heavy woods. Road curves up around the back of the hill for perhaps 400 yards (seemed farther since you must travel at a snail's pace). Once up on top, site required boards to allow coach to level without lifting wheels off the ground. Water pressure was low and some cable channels were fuzzy. Campground should not assign these top-of-hill sites to large motorhomes without warning you first. Not a good experience. I would not return.

Truly no-frills beachfront camping. Even #'d sites along PCH have noticeable traffic noise, so, if you are a light sleeper this may bother you. Beach and surrounding community of Huntington Beach are great with lots to do. Camp host is very accommodating and friendly. Sites are tight, but manageable (we are 40'). Very dog friendly with doggy beach within walking distance along boardwalk. Rated a 7 for lack of sewer at sites and ridiculous 2nd vehicle policy. Even if you register a 2nd vehicle at time of reservation, it must be with you (connected) at time of check-in or they will charge you an additional $15 per day for the entire length of your stay. Whether it is enforced depends on who is working the gate.

It is a very nice campground in a beautiful state park. We stayed in the West loop. There are many large sites, although some can be a bit challenging to get into. Surprisingly good cell and off-air TV reception. It's pretty far to the dump station, but if you have a tote there are grey water drains scattered throughout the loop. You can't reserve specific sites, so even if you have reservations you should come early for best selection.

It is a very modern campground in a nice state park. There are a large number of spacious back-in and pull-through sites. Most of the back-in sites have more space between them than any other park we have ever been. The roads are broad, paved, and very well lit at night. There is wi-fi at the office/store, but not at the campsites which is about all this park is missing. It is a beautiful area, highly recommended.

We stayed here one night on our way to New Mexico. This campground is very clean and neat with mostly gravel roads and sites. Our site was level enough that we didn't have to unhook for our one night stay. There are shade trees and scrubs between most sites and plenty of room between sites for our slides and awning. The manager was pleasant and gracious. Our dogs loved the pet playground where they could run off-leash! We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

This is a very active, long-term and seasonal RV resort that caters to the needs and satisfaction of the vacationer visiting the Gulf Coast. Despite the "Beach" in the name, the resort is about a mile and a half from the beach, and just off US-98, just to the west of Panama City proper. Good quiet location, however because it's just a stone's throw from Zoo World you get to hear the lions roar in the evening. That's a little disconcerting at first but a little humorous later on. All of the facilities are very clean and tidy, and there's plenty of very nice landscaping all around. Besides a nice, heated pool, there are plenty of scheduled activities and events to please the residents. We liked the resort so much, we decided to spend a month here next year to get away from the winter weather up north.

We arrived relatively late in the day for an overnight stay here. Our site was relatively easy to get into -- we were on our own because we got to the park so late. The only real issue we had here was the "transportation noise". Just like the movie, we had planes, trains, and automobiles -- but only until around 10 pm, or so. The campground is just down the road from Mobile International Airport with the big jets roaring overhead all evening. Just like clockwork, the jet takeoffs started up again at around 7am the next morning. Didn't really avail ourselves of the amenities here, so no comments on that part. We tried to see the proprietor in the office at 8am when he said he'd be in, but no one was there.

I stay here a lot and I really wish that there was someway that they could put in more sewer spots. They only have 8 spots with sewer and when you have to move to a different spot after 2 weeks, it would be nice to move to another sewer spot, and you cannot stay in the same spot longer than 2 weeks unless you have a special letter from the park. NOT COOL !!!! It is a very clean park, and quiet, unless it is game weekend or country stampede, I highly recommend NOT to stay there at these times.

Services were located fairly far behind my coach requiring my longest water hose and 25' of sewer hose. Minimal shade but a nice wide pad including a picnic table and fire pit. Nice view of the lake. Close to Wellsboro and the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. A very nice experience.

Nice park located close to I-95 right on the Florida border. Stayed here overnight on our way to Disneyworld. We had a full-hookup site with plenty of room for the motorhome and the toad. Good water pressure and electric. Easy turns within the park. Gravel site. Nice, shaded park. Permanent sites near the back of the campground are a little seedy but not a problem and can't be seen unless you take a walk around the park. Friendly staff helped me with a low tire pressure problem by bringing a compressor to my site. Thanks! Nice having a Hess truck stop at the same exit. Price was a little high and includes the KOA discount. Even so, I would definitely stay here again.

This is our third stay in 2 years at this park and it does seem to be slowly deteriorating. Water pressure runs very low at times, small repairs seem to be neglected, the Wi-Fi is broken and not high speed anyway, and electrical voltage often is too low to run an AC unit (per the service person we called to fix what we thought was a broken AC). We really hope they have some plan to upgrade soon as this is the nearest park to family for us.

Good campground located close to I-95. We just stayed for one night. Rustic campground with plenty of pine trees for shade. Some palms in the park too. No chance of receiving a satellite signal but our site had cable and it was excellent with a great number of channels. Good water pressure and good voltage. Excellent Wi-Fi signal. Sites were a little uneven and were composed of thin gravel on dirt. My site was long and easily fitted my motorhome with the car attached. My concrete "patio" pad was broken into a hundred pieces but still supported a picnic table. I didn't use it so it didn't matter to me. Nice wide turns on the roads but a little more gravel on the roads would be useful. Some of the roads had larger potholes. Lots of culverts and ditches throughout the park require attention when driving. Well lit at night. Friendly, helpful staff. Overall a good experience. I would stay here again.

Sounds like new owners are moving trailers in, so may not be an RV park in the future. Might check before planning on stopping here, alto it is easy to get back on freeway....

Rose Trail RV Park is directly across the street from Colbert County Rose Trail Park. We were able to walk across the street to the lake, boat ramp, and piers. There are only 14 sites. While we were here, we were the only over nighties. The rest were vacant except for two live-aboard and two empty seasonals. Gravel pads are level and partially shaded. Amenities are scarce. I don't know if they even have bathrooms or showers. The general store has typical mini mart inventory plus a good assortment of fishing tackle. Wi-Fi works in the general Store. What a joy this place is! :) Not on our list for a destination, but a wonderful place to stop on our way to the outer banks. It is true it is on a busy highway, but the sites are off enough to muffle the sound enough to sleep. Large pull throughs with convenient hookups, and wide sites with plenty of room for slides. Bathrooms are immaculate, with conveniences like hooks and seats for "stuff", with even a cute little TV running to watch while you dry your hair. Staff at check in were top rate, and very friendly. This is one of the cleanest KOA's I have ever stayed at. Modern and updated. Great little pet area, with nice playground for those that would need that, though we don't have children or dogs. Our inside spoiled cats, however, loved to watch the multitude of squirrels from their perch on the couch.

We stayed here 5 nights starting 10/30/09. The sites were mostly level with mature trees an well-maintained grounds. The restrooms were very clean and the showers were also clean. The only negative about the showers is that you can't adjust the water temperature but it was normally warm (though sometimes too hot for a few minutes initially). We stayed at site #171 which is bordered by an access road back to the Horse Park which meant there was traffic next to us but not enough to disturb us. It was a quiet, family oriented park, probably one of the nicest we camped at this year. The camp store had a wide variety of supplies but you are not far from Lexington or Georgetown for anything you may need. We found this campground to be a great home base for visiting Lexington and the Red River Gorge/Natural Bridge (about an hour drive from campground). We will definitely stay here in the future.

One of the best campgrounds we have visited. There is nothing to worry about here: large sites, level, well placed hookups, interior roads are large and in great condition. No problem getting a satellite signal. Most importantly, the management is very very nice. They will go well beyond the call of duty to make sure you are happy and have what you need. We would definitely return.

We camped here 5 days. The park is located in a trailer park. The RV pads appear to be abandoned spaces. It was nice enough for a stop over. It has convenient interstate highway access but it is far enough away so there was no noise. Stores and shopping are nearby to the south. Memphis is about 20 minutes west. Our 50A full hookups worked great. There is no wifi. Pads are gravel and partially shaded. Ours was reasonably dry during heavy rain. Most sites where pretty muddy. The pull throughs are real tight turns. Big rigs might be better off backing in.

Sites are level. General condition of the camp is below average. Manager was extremely helpful and willing to accommodate us however she could. Campground had a number of seasonal sites, most were packed up for the winter. This campground is acceptable for a one night stay if you get in a pinch. Having said that, we would not return. CAUTION:if you stay here, do not attempt to enter from the south if you are in a big rig. The sign is hard to spot so follow the directions exactly as provided by the campground website.

Me and the wife love this campground. The lake is beautiful and nice beaches. Sites are huge and very clean. Campground is part of the Corp of Engineers. We return every year. No cable hook-ups but the trees and water make up for it. It is a have to visit, very quite and relaxing place.

We have stayed there several times. Most recently, the grounds are not as well kept as in the past...but still nice. There is a 15mph speed limit in the park and for the most part the cars stay at or below that. Owner golf carts are another matter. They do speed. Everyone seems very nice at the resort. There is a great nature trail and several areas that are nice for dogs. As stated earlier, we were disappointed that our rental pool site had high grass in the back due to lack of cutting at the back end area. Short cut that shows. Several restaurants near would be Steve's for breakfast and Corky Bell's seafood for lunch or dinner. On site Eagles Pride RV repair is okay but very high priced. Propane is now available from the resort. A new restaurant has opened and serves cafe type breakfast and lunch on property and good prices but very slow service. We have stayed in many places and The Great Outdoors remains one of our top stops.

Bethpage is a well maintained and energetic resort. We have stayed here many times and keep coming back. They have great activities for the children as well as the adults. The only downfall to this camp resort is the number of golf carts running around the grounds. We will return.

This park is not to be confused with Western Hills Guest Ranch/Sequoyah Bay State Park that is also near Wagoner and on Lake Fort Gibson. We initially intended to stay here for two nights but the lake was 16 feet above normal and the lakeside sites were under water. There has been a lot of rain in this area recently; hopefully they will recover OK when the water recedes. The park has plenty of big beautiful trees and a lot of things to do and see. A very peaceful place to stay. Has very good TV reception via antenna. The restroom/showers were clean. I will definitely return in the future.

There are two sections to camp in, the South and the North Landings. The South has 108 sites but be ware if you have a large rig this area is very tight and the sites are small, but it does have a swimming pool which could be important if you have kids. Now the North Landing has 100 sites and most are large. If you are using a satellite this is your best bet for reception. They are in the process of building a new bathhouse which should be ready by the spring of 2010. I would never consider staying in the South section.

Price given reflects Passport America rate for a week. We were parked in back on gravel with back to back hookups, next to the trash dumpsters for the park. Tight sites, you can almost touch the next RV with your awning. Nice park, but we won't be back. By the way they park over-nighters, wouldn't care to stay again. Most activities in Phoenix are an hour away, better off staying in Mesa or Chandler. Could spend more for a campsite and not waste money on fuel for the dinghy.

Very nice park with level gravel sites. The help was very friendly. There is a large dump site. The roads from the freeways were often very narrow and without shoulders. It is more than 15 miles to the nearest highway that is not a state or county road. If you are going to Mammoth Cave the office will give you driving instructions that include a ferry ride across the Green River. It is much shorter than taking the road around the park.

We go there every Thanksgiving. The park is in the heart of Amish country and has great sites. There is an indoor pool with hot tub plus a game room to keep the kids occupied. All of the bathroom and shower areas have heated floors, which is great on those frosty mornings. The office always has a roaring fire going and the laundromat is a nice touch. Propane is available on-site. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, even when getting in after hours.

Try the Capitol Reef Inn and Cafe, good food, and good service. Its next door to the CG.

This is my favorite campground in Florida. We stumbled on this resort while looking for a place to stay two years ago at Christmas. We had just purchased a 5th wheel and were looking for a spot that was close to our Florida family. We were concerned by some of the older comments posted here, but decided to give it a try. I can't say enough good things about the place. They were still doing landscaping and the laundry facility wasn't finished yet, but the managers bent over backward to give us a nice finished space. We visited the resort again last summer and arrived late at night. Once again, the managers were great in helping us get into our spot. If you want a DESTINATION RESORT close to beaches, shopping and fine restaurants with amenities. This is it. I can't wait to go back.

The little town of Edgewood has a Wal-Mart and fuel. Noise from Historic Route 66 on one side of the park and I-40 on the other could be a problem for some. Stay here when you're desperate, then move on.

Its a huge CG in town, and we were surprised at how quiet it was. You could hear the train at night, that was it. Clean bathrooms and laundry. It is very central for everything, Wal-Mart, restaurants, the temple, tabernacle etc. We tried to find a restaurant open on a Sunday night, not easy. but after driving around for a long time we found a gem. Coachmans on South State Street, we had a 4 course meal $20 for 2 people. Great service and staff, give it a try.

One of our favorite spots. Wonderful sites right on the bay, it can be very windy, but its worth it for the views and sunsets. Good restrooms. The interior sites are more sheltered and private, but are pretty tight for a large RV. HEB and Wal-Mart are close by. Lots of lovely restaurants. Only 1 negative thing, the air boats leave very early in the am. Take ear plugs.

From talking to other people this was a one night stop, see the sights then head back out. Once you have been here, you probably would not return. It is very dusty.

The park was actually rather nice and it was quiet. We would stay there again if our site hadn't been heavily infested with fire ants. There are no concrete pads. Anywhere sparse in grass had lots of ant nests. Since I will go into anaphylaxis shock from fire ant bites, we carry ant killer and sprinkled it around so I could get out of the RV. We saw another site with white powder all over, so we must not be the only ones to do this.

My family stayed here during the summer. The kids loved the new pool. They spent most of their time at the pool. They did visit the playground and horseshoes which were really nice. It was great because it was close by to the Bristol Motor Speedway. It was only 3 miles away. We came here because of my son racing in the junior drags. We enjoyed the pontoon boat rental which was really nice. The restrooms were really clean. My wife liked them because they are private. You can do laundry which is open 24 hrs like the bathrooms. The sites were really wide and we enjoyed the pet playground for our lab who loves to run. It was a great park! We have camped here 3 times since the summer. Great Staff!

GOOD NEWS: Clean cement & gravel sites, staff person (Lisa) was very helpful and conscientious. BAD NEWS: NO FREE Wi-Fi... Poor Lisa must tell callers that they have "free Wi-Fi," when they call to make reservations. After many frustrating attempts to use this "free Wi-Fi" including Lisa trying to help me find a location, I finally asked to see the Wi-Fi device. It was a tiny, cheap thing that was ineffective and improperly connected. What a waste of time! EXTREMELY SMALL SITES... Sites are narrow and packed in. Some big rigs couldn't open their slide outs. Those that did manage to get them open could probably open their windows and hold hands between rigs. MY RECOMMENDATION: Go to the slightly older, but more spacious Victorville KOA (now Shady Oasis. Or, for even more space in a park setting among more natural surroundings, go to Mojave Narrows Regional Park. See this site for reviews of both.

The rate is for Coast to Coast + $3 for electric a night and $3 for each dog (we have 2 dogs, so an extra $6.). First time in over 40 years of RVing we had to pay an extra charge for our dogs. I could understand a charge if they had a nice fenced in dog run. There is an extra charge for 50 amp and pull throughs. The park is in need of maintenance. There are some run down looking permanent trailers that detract from the park. Our Verizon phone and aircard worked well. Sites are very close together. We would not stay here again. There is another Coast to Coast park about a mile away that is much nicer and does not charge extra for anything except wi-fi.

Stayed here for a weekend outing with family. Campsites are decently laid out and easy to back into. Sites were about average in distance from each other. We stayed in the lakefront site which had a great view but no water hook-ups. Bath houses were fair in condition and cleanliness. The lake had a nice appearance but horrible to fish in. We took a paddle boat out only to find the lake has severe plant growth in it making it hard to paddle and even less enjoyable to fish in. The park is located in small town Indiana and there isn't much else to do locally. Overall we liked our stay and will probably return.

This is an old KOA Campground with too many permanent residents. Lots and lots of big trees makes satellite reception next to impossible. They advertise Wi-Fi but unless you're right next to the office you won't get it. Owners and staff were nice. Gravel lots and some paved roads but when it rains it becomes a mess. OK for on overnight stay. Would not want to stay here for an extended period.

This must be McClain County, OK's best kept secret. I've lived in these parts for 30 years and never knew this RV Park existed until I found it on rvparkreviews.com. Excellent overnight or extended stay. Pay is by honor system. For extended stay beyond two weeks walk across the street to the Golf Course Club House and make arrangements and pay reduced rate. Paved pads and drives with picnic tables. Restrooms and laundry available but no showers. Across the street is the golf course and public swimming pool. City lake and park adjacent to the RV Park. Quiet and not crowded. I will definitely stay here again.

This is a well kept park with roomy sites, and mature shade trees. The staff is friendly and helpful. When I checked out I found I was missing one of the pins in my hitch system, and checked to see if they had one in the park store. They didn't have what I needed, but the person on duty made me a temporary one so I could get on the road. The clubhouse is nice, and features a TV lounge and small library. You can use one of several individual full rest rooms with its own shower etc- much nicer than many parks with less privacy. The park has a swimming pool and basketball court. Only negative, the Wi-Fi is sometimes slow. The propane was less expensive than other places in town that I was aware of.

We loved this park. Wonderful reception with a valet that showed us to our site. Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi. All sites are cement pads with grassy areas and picnic table. Plenty of room. Nice walking paths. Extremely quiet. Clean laundry with new machines. $1.25 to wash. $1 to dry. The restrooms were are all individual rooms and include personal showers with door locks. Shuttle bus to casino picks you up at your site, and delivers you back. We will definitely stay here again. Rate reflects a Good Sam discount and Casino Players Club discount. We camped in a fifth wheel.

We have camped here for the past 20-25 years. Not much has changed at least in the last several years. It seems that the owners don't want to maintain the campground as the previous owners did. The sites nearest the pavilion are nice sites but are on grass. Do not go there if it has rained a lot. We pulled in to find tire ruts from the previous campers that were six to eight inches deep. Rather than put down crusher run, or stone to each site they offer to pull you out with their tractor. When asked about grass versus stone sites, the owner stated it cost $500 for a truck load of stone. If people stop coming due to the condition of the grounds especially after a rain, then the campground will suffer. This would be a shame because this is an ideal location for shopping, restaurants and the steam museum next door. To the owners I suggest that you improve the sites, spend some money on stone and bring Roamers back to what it should be!

Monthly rate, plus electric, plus pay internet (Nomad ISP). I hate pay internet, it costs too much, has non-responsive tech support, and does not allow higher levels of bandwidth. Nice campground with trees, grass, big spaces, and amenities. Store, bar, pool, & big screen TV. Family owned & run. Slightly noisy next to I-80, especially when the race track up the road is running, sounds like a bunch of lawn mowers. Ha Ha Gladly, it is only during season one or two nights a week. Truck stop, store, restaurant, a couple of gas stations and motel at the I-80 interchange exit #420. There were two incidents where manager was too rude, too strict. I'm all for rules, but not for berating visitors for violating a sign or rule, otherwise friendly and helpful. I'll probably stay again.

The rate of $17 reflects a weekly rate of $120. We stayed at this park approximately 3 weeks. The campground is a little rough, but this is more than offset by the price considering it is about 75 minutes from D.C. Management was very friendly and helpful. Some of the residents are struggling under the current economy. A couple were living in tents or deteriorating trailers; however, everyone was friendly and we had no problems. The managers keep a close eye on things. I am calling this campground big rig friendly, but there are limited big rig sites. We have a 40 foot fifth wheel pulled by a semi - Overall length of 67 feet. The one site that was long enough for us and had sewer happened to be available for us. There are a couple other long pull through sites that do not have sewer. When we left they were starting to put in 50 amp service into the bigger sites.

Manufactured Home park that added RV spaces. The spaces are huge. The view is beautiful. Large pool, two hottubs, and kiddy pool. Tennis/basketball court, FREE gameroom, workout room. Would have given the park a 10 but pool not heated, hottubs were not kept even warm. Only after complaints by many rv'ers were they turned up some but not enough. Showers are just two small rooms not a bathhouse of any kind. Only 2 washers and 2 dryers. Still a nice place to stay. Staff very nice.

We ate at the Candelilla Cafe, food ok, but pricey, and service very slow. We will be staying here again. There is so much to see and do.

I want to add that 1) credit cards are not accepted; cash or check only, and 2) Wi-Fi is fine in some sites but poor in others. If Wi-Fi is important to you be sure to so advise the staff when reserving or checking in. I would definitely stay there again.

We should have stayed next door. I was totally embarrassed to let anyone know I stayed here, no escorts to your site, tough to get around in a motor home, extreme low water pressure when half full. Just plain ugly park.
