If you are immune to being bitten then this place is ideal. Only 4 or 5 sites right on the water in a quiet area not for from Cedar Key bars and restaurants. The bugs were awful. The 2nd day we were there we did not go out. The Wi-Fi stopped working for 12 hours before we left which was not great and when we arrived we got hooked up and immediately told to move even though the trailer with slideouts was only staying 1 night and had just turned up on spec.....we had booked months in advance. The staff were pleasant enough about it but it bugged me. I would not go back because of the insects

This is a perfect park if you enjoy trains going by at 8 am and 11 pm. Expect to wake up at night and don't expect to sleep in because you will be up by 8 am. The train horn will make sure that you are up! Then there is the pool! It's a lovely shade of dark green. We for one night and won't do so again!

We arrived after the office had closed but instructions how to get into the park were easy to follow. Went to the office the next morning to settle. Site was a long pull through and I didn't need to unhook the toad. Concrete patio but gravel parking that was level. Park had some full timer but everything was clean. Nice fenced area to let the dogs run. A short walk to the river which was very clean. This park is far enough off the "beaten path" to be very quiet but close enough to make shopping at the outlet mall a reasonable drive. Had an issue with the cable but the manager came over and fixed it. Turns out it was me not knowing how to set my own television (dah). We would definitely stay here again.

Rate shown 4 nights for 3 non prime time. Site sand back-in and not level. Good cable TV. Wi-Fi strong signal, but bandwidth not always good enough for Skype. Fairly large and clean laundry. Clubhouse has 80 inch big screen TV which made the Superbowl look quite impressive. Good access to the beach and walking distance to downtown. Word of caution. Some construction between sites 51-96 for upgrades until the end of March.

We have stayed at this park many times during the past eight years. We tend to stay here during the off season (spring and fall) because it tends to get crowded and loud during the busy months. The cable TV has only four or five channels and our satellite does not work because of the tree cover. The staff is great and the sites are good but close to each other. More reason to go in the off season. We went in December this year. The weather was great and there was only on other trailer/RV in the park that weekend.

Easy registration and manager was very pleasant. Pea gravel roads and level sites with small concrete patio and a small picnic table. CG lays between I-10 and railroad tracks but neither were a noise issue. Easy/close utility hook-up with 6 cable channels available. Site was somewhat narrow but herring bone layout gave you privacy. Price reflected Good Sam discount. Great overnight stop over and would stay here again.

Pecan Grove RV Park will not be everyone's "cup of tea". But, if you understand, believe, or embrace the local saying, "Keep Austin Weird", or if you have a tie-dyed shirt with that slogan on it, then you will appreciate Pecan Grove! Pecan Grove RV Park is located directly across Lake Lady Bird from downtown Austin on Barton Springs Road ... very convenient to Austin's music scene, Barton Springs Pool, and the location of the Annual South-By-Southwest Music Festival. It is an older RV park ... a direct step back into the 1950s! There are only about 10 overnight rental spots out of over a hundred spaces. You must call at least a month or two in advance for a reservation (unless you are VERY lucky). Payment is accepted as cash or check ... no credit cards. The park does not have a website, but try looking at: http://www.maliasmiles.com/texas/austin/PecanGrove.htm. The park is densely wooded with pecan trees and associated squirrels. The full-time residents are all very friendly and very eclectic ... musicians, artists, writers, a clown, and a few senior citizens. You will realize this shortly after entering the park as you pass an art sculpture of a six foot high coconut tree done in green, yellow, and blue neon light tubes. There is no pool, but Barton Springs is easy walking distance. The bathhouse is again from the 1950s (cinder block construction) but is very clean. Washers and dryers are available at the north end of the bathhouse. As an older park, the overhead electric, cable, etc., lines are low-hanging, but I had no problem clearing them with my 12' 8" high fifth wheel. The spaces are definitely for older trailers ... Robert assisted me in parking my 39' fifth wheel at a diagonal in space 52! The interior streets are narrow but passable. The cable TV is excellent with 68 channels and Wi-Fi reception was very strong (and free!). The park is pet friendly, but they do insist that you pick up after your pets! Many of Austin's known restaurants...

Glad I made a reservation, manager was turning folks away as I was signing in at 4:00 pm. Oh, when you are signing in, beware of the "greater cat". She will jump up on the counter and if you pet her once pretty much that's all you're going to do during registration. Manager was great. All she had left was 50 amp but only charged us for 30 amp. She guided us to our site which was pea gravel but level. Easy on/off from I-20; the highway noise was tolerable. Many cable channels and Wi-Fi was great. Sites are a little narrow but got all three slides out and didn't feel cramped due to herring bone layout of CG. Great overnight stop and will stay here again.

This park exceeded expectations. We especially liked the large dog park, the grass buffer between sites, the immaculate bathrooms, and the well-groomed grounds. We would stay here again, even though the drought has taken its toll on Lake Travis.

Price based on monthly winter use. Close to being the perfect campground for our needs. Staff and neighbors were all friendly and helpful. Excellent facilities for pets. Rig washing is allowed. Camp store and propane were very competitively priced. Easy access off of I-35 but in a rural area. Beautiful city park within walk or bike distance. Grass and shrubs between most sites. Owner accepts checks or cash only. Suggest having reservations. Only suggestion would be to upgrade the Wi-Fi with another broadcast point.

This is a decent place to stop before going down to the Keys. It is fairly close to the Florida Turnpike with easy access--five miles or so down a rural two lane road. It is out in the middle of orange groves. It's hardly what I'd consider a resort, but it's clean, has a nice store, and the staff and campers were friendly. The sites are grass, but some looked quite tight. We have a 45 foot motorhome, and I was guided to a site where I KNEW I could not get around a tree, and the gentleman was nice enough to move me to a more accessible site. Leveling our motorhome was no problem. I'd stay here again for an overnight if I were driving to the Keys, but it sure isn't what I'd consider a destination resort.

We've stayed in this park for 5 days for the past two years. It seems to be very difficult to get a waterfront site, as we put in our reservation 11 months in advance this year and had worse sites than last year. Last year, I felt it was the most beautiful park in which I'd stayed, but this year I felt a bit differently. The people are friendly, and the location is nice. We found the sites to be a bit tight for our larger RV than last year. The hosts come and cut the hedges, palms, etc, if they are a problem, but some sites are quite tight because of the shrubbery, and, truly, that should be done before we are trying to park our RV in a site as expensive as theirs. There is absolutely NO grass except in their dog park near the entry to the park which creates a dog walking problem when it is pouring rain. This is a lovely park, but the above reasons are why I can't rate it a 10.

Perfect! This a great place to come and have your Tiffin MH looked at/repaired. The people are wonderful, the sites are here for specific reason, you want a pool, lake, etc. go to outdoor resorts. It could not be any other way to handle the large amount of buses they look at each day. Wi-Fi worked well, and I love small town America. Thanks Bob Tiffin!

Park is OK, great for a 1 night stopover. Facilities are numerous but not all of a good quality. Pool and jacuzzi are good but activities are of poor quality such as the golf pool and table tennis. Staff were very friendly. Park was very quiet and we had choice of sites. I would visit again for a stopover but nothing much to do in the area.

The only good thing I can say about this place is the staff are great, very friendly and helpful. It is such a shame because the park layout itself are OK and the club house and pool are OK too but what you cannot get away from are the biting insects and the area. The insects made it absolutely unbearable to go outside, even by the pool for 2 hours I ended up with over 12 bites, out BBQ had to be cancelled too. The area itself is not great, right on the highway with decent shopping close by but it seems a very undesirable area. Could not believe how many snowbirds chose to call it home. I suppose if you are immune to being bitten and you don't leave the park then this place is OK.

We camped in Feb so didn't get to use all amenities. Very clean campground with friendly, helpful owners. In a rolling, wooded location and convenient to I-25. Pet friendly with nice walk path and also a fenced run. Would definitely return.

Park is clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Shuttle to Disney stops right at the park and is very reasonably priced. The facilities worked well, internet is Tengo but is free, very fast and stable. I would have given them a 10 but the price is a little steep. There is some planes, trains and automobiles noise, but not too bad. We would stay here again if visiting Disneyland.

This park is very clean and well kept. The beach is right across the street and well within walking distance. A small shopping center is about a mile from the park. We've stayed here twice in the past two years and really like it. From some of the sites you can see the ocean as well as the gorgeous sunsets.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds. The small town of Elkton is within walking distance of the park and the ocean isn't that far to drive to. Being right on the river is the parks biggest asset especially if you like to float or fish the river. Only drawback at all is that there really isn't a permanent or built in fish cleaning station. Overall park is quiet and very clean with great hosts.

This is one of our favorite parks in Charleston. The park is gravel and it's on the beach so it gets a little dusty and dirty, but it has the best access to the beach and the sites have quite a bit of room around them. They have everything you need to clean and cook your crab if you go crabbing, and have a lot of the essential things in their store if you forget something. The park is not within walking distance to grab a bite to eat or pick up groceries, but there's a neat boutique store and a wonderful restaurant within close driving distance in Charleston if you unhook your tow vehicle.

This is a nice, clean park. The sites are gravel but there's grass next to each site. We stay here often on any trip south along I-5. It's not over the top with amenities but it has everything you need and the staff are always nice and accommodating. The bathrooms are neat and there's a laundry facility available. The park is within walking distance to Starbucks, Burger King, the Olive Pit, and grocery stores if you don't feel like unhooking your tow vehicle.

We camped here for 4.5 months in the winter and paid a monthly rate. Water did not freeze at the pump. Wi-Fi always worked great. The roads are gravel and some sites might have difficulty leveling. The owner is friendly. He is also a city police officer and drives through the park several times a day so we always felt very safe! Most sites have a fire pit ours did not but we had cedar trees perfect for our dog. There is a nice lake next to the river probably a great place to stay in the summer. We loved our stay here and will stay here again!

Sites are adequately spaced pull through with grass. Wi-Fi is excellent. Advertised store is non-existent. The overall appearance is of a facility that is on hold waiting for new financing. Buildings are starting to deteriorate. Workers are not seen in the camp. Wonder if the place will last much longer.

This is the first year we have stayed here and actually liked it far better than the free BLM we stayed at in the past on the north end of town. One of my biggest gripes is dust, but remember where your at and with saying that if people will slow down, dust can be reduced by 50 percent. One of the things you can do is park in a rock query and the dust can almost be non existent and stay off the main road quiet a ways. We like it here and stay our 14 days for 40 dollars.

We stayed here as AOR members and rate reflects that. The staff was very friendly and we were allowed to pick our own site. Site was level with a cement pad next to it. No table was provided. While they do have Wi-Fi, there is a $2 per day charge and can only be used on one computer (not good for us since my wife and myself have laptops). Overall it is a nice place to stay with activities almost every night. I would stay here again.

Very friendly staff. Large sites, but not level. Large tables at every site. Wi-Fi is free and it works well. They escort you to the site which makes it easy, and we had a pull-through. This is desert landscape and very well taken care of, but a little dusty. There is an active train track and you can hear it at night. Did not hear noise from the highway. We would stay here again.

This was a great location for making daily visits to the National Park. After reading reviews on this forum we were prepared for the worst. We are writing a review for the first time, because our experience was so much better than the reviews. Yes, it was dusty and bare...we were in the desert. We found the staff to be very friendly and highly accommodating. Because of a phone number error in a magazine we had made a reservation at Rio Grande Village instead of here. Staff refunded out money and let us stay in Terlingua. We would definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful entrance to park down a farm road about 3 miles from I-10. Clean campsites are all loop asphalt with concrete pad picnic table, lantern post, and fire ring. Camp hosts very helpful and visible every few hours. Wood and ice for sale. Several hiking and bike trails. We were here in early February with 45-55 degree weather at night and cold rain. Yes, will camp here again. Great experience.

Nice, clean campground. The facilities are top notch. The pool is heated year round and is great for kids. The only negatives are that campfires are not allowed and it is really a large parking lot with nice grassy areas in between the spaces. There is also a shuttle that transports people to the casino on a frequent schedule. It is rather loud and could be a problem at nighttime for light sleepers.

The campground has been reduced to a small area called the Seawall just beyond hundreds of "permanent" trailers - most of which are very old and dilapidated. Gone are the days of camping anywhere you want in the large grassy meadows or near the sand dunes due to environmental concerns. The ocean views and the beach access are still very good. The outhouses are suprisingly clean but the restrooms are old and dirty.

This is an acceptable campground for an overnight or two. Basically, a graveled parking lot with electric and dump. Level site. We had some work done at Camping World, which is next door. We also went to the races, about 10 miles away. If I had it to do again, I'd check out the race track first as there were about 3 sites open when we got there (only about 8 or so sites with hookups) but it only costs $10/night there - in a parking lot. This campground is well maintained though the manager was a bit "cranky". We'd stay here again if we needed to.

As others have said, the best thing going for it is the location to the Caverns. It was an acceptable campsite, level, with electricity and dump. The managers were friendly and helpful. The fudge in the grocery store was great. We've stayed in lots worse places. The only real negative is the price. Not worth $30 but cheaper than commuting to the further state park which I'd rate an 8+, All in all, we'd stay here again if we visit the Caverns.

Other than the tricky turn onto the approach road it's a convenient stopover, Use caution or you'll go right back on I-77. I had trouble getting cable reception. The office suggested the problem was in my equipment. It wasn't. WiFi was good. Grounds and facilities were clean and orderly. Some highway noise. No trees or obstructions make it easy to navigate through the park.

Just to add my current comments to the previous ones. Staff very helpful and friendly...I was offered supper (delivered) and breakfast in the restaurant but declined. Beautiful spot with large spaces; the wi-fi acted up a bit, but seemed to settle down later (movie streamers?). Rate is pretty high for this area.

This place is a gem...and the price is great! I think I have the whole park (and lake) to myself! Rates have changed a bit from the website...Sunday-Thursday are the lowest. And don't miss the aquariums and short interpretive film at the visitor center.

Many trees can make navigation a little tough but that's the only negative I can report. The coffee and wine tasting bar add a nice touch, A rain shower turned the sandy ground into a mud pit the night we were there. Some gravel would be welcomed. Bath and laundry room are spotless. Stopping here was a change in our normal route. It will probably be the new itinerary.

The largest majority of sites seemed to be where people were living full time as they had permanent fixtures on their lots. We were told there was only one site available - one with water and electric only. It was next to a site that was completely covered with clutter and toys and had overflowed onto the site we were to take. The lady waded through a path to move her truck so we could pull in. We called the office and said the site was unacceptable. We were then told there were two others we could choose from. Since we did not have sewer, we used their showers which were clean but the fixtures were very badly corroded and only lukewarm water going quickly to cold. Dogs seemed to have freedom to roam and no leash law was enforced. For the price, we were very disappointed and would have been better off in the county park.

The rate of 33 bucks is for passport members. They give that rate for up to 2 weeks of stay. I stayed here last year and this year there are a myriad of improvements. There is a very nice lounge here that has a lot of tables and heaters and affords a great view of the water. The landscaping has been updated and they say they are in the process of drastically expanding the park. They offer a lot of concierge services, tours, 5 buck trips into town, etc. That personal service goes a long way. I remember the same employees from last year and an experienced staff helps you get checked in and out easily. The park is very very safe and is in a gated area. You are only about a 5 minute drive from downtown. I gave them a 10 because I couldnt think of anything I would improve.

The park is one of the most expensive we have stayed at, but the staff is very nice and the park is pretty nice. The hot tub was broken when we were there and they said it needed to be replaced. That was a bit of a bummer since we paid so much. The park is pretty close to the French Quarter, but you are near the projects and you do have to walk through an abandoned grocery store parking lot to get over to the French Quarter. I give the park only 7 stars because it is so expensive and the hot tub was broken.

Me and my wife signed up 2 years ago and have turned into regulars there. I have no issues on booking reservations when I use common sense (4-5 days out NOT on the way there). They have an whole new staff and have fired several employees in a effort to make the members more happy. when I had a problem with my RV one of their staff members actually came to my site to help fix it wich i thought was nice but come to find out he actually wasn't even working that day so basically he drove from home just to help us out!!. The bathrooms all tile, cleaned almost hourly, with pedestal sinks and separate showers with bolt lock doors an every stall. This is a park i would recommend for anyone. Just in the past 2 years since my family has been a member they have added about 35 NEW campsites, over $100,000 on the largest pool in the county for renovations, updated most of their electric, built a brand NEW pavilion, put in NEW shuffle board courts, built a brand NEW ice cream parlor, NEW game room and from what i understand is they are paving the roads this spring, mini golf, 4 more cabins and 40 more campsites! show me one resort out there that has done more renovations and additions in 2 years. Our children love all the activities the park throws almost 40 activity weekends per year and they will have the same memories for the rest of their lives. No one can put a price tag on that for me. 10 STARS!!

Dirt and gravel, muddy by trees. NOT level. Asked if level and was told yes. Rates different than listed on website. Additional $5 for 50 amp. Tall electrical boxes, was difficult to position for slides. No water from 7:30pm to 10:30am and no discount for not having water. Not friendly, spouted off rules like they were expecting problems. Would not go back, there are plenty of other RV facilities around.

We stopped here for one night to use the Passport America discount. The parks regular rate is $36, however, if you use the PA they raise the rate to $46 per night. We paid $26 which is not 50% off. I feel tricked! Would not stay here again.

The rate reflects the PA Rate for a Big Rig Site. This rate is all that the park should be charging as they have no washrooms (sign on door says RVs should have their own and with high cost of propane they are closed effective June 2011), no Wi-Fi (changed their policy so available only for permanent residents), no amenities of any kind, and a Laundry that is pretty poor with 3 very old washers and only 1 working dryer. There were only about 8 other RVs and all but one was a permanent unit. The office is not staffed and to register you have to pick up the red phone at the door which connects you to the resident manager who lives in one of the permanent units. I made a reservation ahead, and when arrived and phoned the manager she said to just go to my assigned site (#13) and she would register me later. Little did I know that later meant the next day in the afternoon! If you are looking for just an overnight site or for a couple of nights and are totally self contained and don't need to use their laundry then for $18 ($15 PA rate for regular site) not a bad place to stay. The Big Rig sites are very long pull throughs which are easy to get into and out of and reasonably level. There is some road noise during the day but at night it is very quiet despite being located on highway 16.

We have stayed at this park twice now. Both times we had trouble leveling our coach as the spaces are like a cat's back. Office personnel are extremely nice and accommodating. The showers, restrooms and pool area are modern and very nicely done. Our last stay we had issues with their leach field making the entire place smell of sewage.

It's expensive, but it's also very, very nice. We had a problem on check-in - the site hadn't been cleaned yet, so they directed us to the waiting lot, where we waited an hour or so. Then, when we got to our assigned site, we found a motorhome working on pulling out, which would mean it hadn't been cleaned yet. We went back to the front, and my wife explained the situation, and they assigned us another site, actually a nicer one. A day or two later, we went back into the office to check on something else, and the concierge actually remembered my wife's name and where we were from! Also, we were taking one of Disney's back stage tours, and they picked us up at our campsite to take us to the Magic Kingdom for our tour at 7:15 in the morning - for free (although we tipped the driver). This is the kind of detail Disney puts into everything, including the campground. The boat service to the Magic Kingdom was GREAT, and the buses transportation was good, too - we only ever drove to (a) get gas in our truck and (b) see my parents; otherwise the truck sat at the site the entire time we were there. Definitely a great place to stay if you're on a Disney trip with camping.

Great Wi-Fi! Really nice, clean bathrooms. Wide, long, & level sites. Cable TV has almost all channels. The laundry room is even heated, with a TV and a computer desk! Employees were nice. Only problem was our neighbors, who were intoxicated & obnoxious! We called the office & a man came up & took care of it. Problem solved. It poured rain all night, but all the sites appeared to be graveled, and we had no mud whatsoever. Very nice place to stay.

I stayed at Lazy Acres several years ago, so I already knew it was a good campground. We called them on the road to check whether they had room for an overnight stay, and they said the office would be closing before we arrived (it was January after all), but since they knew we were coming, they kept it open for us. Good service. The campground is well kept and we were able to get a site that accommodated our entire rig without unhooking. We'd definitely stay here again.

After we found two other campgrounds full, we landed at Indian Forest. Great choice - the very first thought I had when I walked into the office was "professional". They were friendly and helpful, the rates were reasonable, and we had a pretty decent-size site for our trailer without having to unhook. There was a lot of shade, and it was very quiet.

It's not a great destination campground, but for overnight I love it. It's nice to walk around the shops after a day of riding in a vehicle. A little frayed around the edges as others have said, but still good, and you can't beat the price. I did find that the sewer connection was too far from the back of my trailer to be useful, though. I carry two hoses. I see this problem at more and more campgrounds, so perhaps I need to start carrying more hose...

Dusty, dirt roads throughout park. Cement pads at sites, but at the far front of the parking area. Sites are very narrow and short. Staff is friendly. There is highway and train noise, but tolerable. Jacuzzi not working. WI-FI is with Tengonet so you might as well forget it - terrible service.

John Prince Campground is well maintained and clean. We camped here in the winter and the park was packed--not am empty site. Reservations are absolutely essential. Some the sites are right on top of each other; others are well spaced out. We had a waterfront site with lots of room but the non-waterfront all looked a lot tighter. Each site is paved and relatively level. WIFI is good but gets saturated with all the users. There is a good 10-mile bike-riding trail around the park that's worth doing. Staff was overworked but friendly and efficient. We would stay here again.

Last resort stay, what brings rating down is un-friendliness of guests, if you are not 65+, rude people!, water very hard and bad taste. The managers of the park are not people friendly or whoever works in the office they do not welcome you if you stay month to month don't go into the office with complaints they will swear at you and be hateful to you they are charging out rages prices on electric to a lot of the permanent people there due to meters being out dated and not working properly. The bathrooms were always dirty and the grounds keeper does not do his job. Overnights are okay just don't stay very long you will be disappointed.

As many have mentioned, the park is in SERIOUS need of repair. The front office personnel are nice, but not exactly what I would call friendly or accommodating. We have been here almost a week now, and the restrooms/showers have yet to be cleaned at all. It appears they haven't been cleaned in about a year. The roads are pitiful, and the layout is squirrely to say the least. Not on my list of return spots for sure.

After three years of stopping here I'm left with my original question: Is Bulow Plantation what used to be a very nice place that is now getting run-down? OR, was it a dump that is now getting restored? I can't make up my mind. There are just two things that bring me back here . Number one is the charm of the moss-draped live oak trees that abound and give the property the "kick back and enjoy your mint julep" feeling. The problem is that this is a one night stopover for us, and we don't usually get here until near sunset. Then we're off again in the morning. It would be much better if we had several days to enjoy the old-south charm. And that brings me to the bad part about the other thing that brings us here. If I was here for three, or more, days I'd be eating three, or more, delicious dinners at Guiseppe's Restaurant (Moody Blvd near the beach). I might even squeeze in some lunch buffets and gain even more girth than I now have. My wardrobe budget can not handle that. So the two things I like best both have a negative side. What to do? What to do?

Rustic! If this were a state park I'd give it a high rating but as a commercial campground I can only say "Rustic". I guess in the middle of a hot summer the canopy of trees and the proximity of a lake would be a great draw, but during the off-season the best I can say is it's a convenient stopover, close to I-95. Very clean restrooms and showers, good wi-fi, no cable (or satellite), water and electric only (no sewer) in the overnight area.

If you are coming from anywhere north of here you can count on getting here later than you planned. Because of the terrible traffic on I-495 and I-95, it took us 2.5 hours longer than expected to get here so it was pitch dark when we did. The late check-in pack was ready and waiting, the map clearly marked and the rows and site numbers easily identified. In the morning we saw how clean and orderly everything was. Along with being an easily accessible overnight stop this campground would be a nice place to stay for a few days to take advantage of all the nearby attractions.

Note, this is dispersion camping and there is no charge. Located about 2 miles west of Lone Pine off Whitney Portal Road - on both sides of the road. One of the prettiest places we have ever camped at in our travel trailer. Scenes from over 400 movies have been shot here, so you most likely have seen it. I would camp here again.

A quiet park with WIDE sites. Many non-transients who seem to have a lock on the shaded sites. W-iFi is commercial which comes up when you link to it. There are a couple of network connections in the office/rec room. I connected well with Verizon tethering through my smart phone. Rest rooms / showers were very clean and private. A no frills camp convenient to Kingman and nearby, famous Rt. 66. Take it to Oatman (if you dare) - a great road if you like winding roads through the mountains. It crosses a pass used by people escaping the dust bowl. When they got here, they hired locals to drive their cars over the pass. On the other side is goofy Oatman - wild burros wander the streets and there is every kind of souvenir you could wish for. Silly but worth the drive.

This is a nice clean park, close to everything and quiet at night even though it's off the main drag. The laundry room was clean, and all of the machines worked. The pool is caged so you don't have to worry about bugs when you use it, and the sites are shaded with lovely pine trees. We stayed here for 2 days and enjoyed our visit.

Stayed here for a night the place is under new owner's. But it need's a lot of work, it's run down a lot. We pulled in and it had a few camper's here, lot of space's but we still got put in one that was very muddy and wet. We stayed at PA rate.

We have been to this campground several times in all seasons. The people who work in the office of this campground are WONDERFUL and very accommodating. The campground is in the heart of the Pennsylvania Dutch Country. You are looking at an Amish farm across the stream that runs across the back of the campground. It is right next door to the Dutch Wonderland kid's theme park. It is easy to get to any of the tourist attractions in this area. The campground is clean and so are the facilities. There are plenty of restrooms and showers and there are also several family restroom/shower rooms. There are plenty of trees for shade and the campground with the stream has a pleasant, woodsy feel. Wi-Fi is strong all over the campground and the cable has a good selection of channels. All hookups have been good. We have been in a space near the roller coaster and it does start at about 10 in the morning - we could not hear it inside our RV and only was aware that it was running when we went outside. There is also no noise from the road. Some of the spaces in this campground are "T" spaces and these can pose a problem getting in and out of. You can request a regular site if one is available. Some sites are slightly off level. We have been in spaces here that were exactly level. If all sites were level I would have given this campground a rating of 10. We will definitely stay at this campground again. I have to emphasize again how nice the people who work here are!

We stayed at this campground twice in 2011 (once in the summer and in December) and for a number of days each visit. Both stays were excellent. The people at the desk are very nice. The campground is large and each site is paved with shade trees all around. It is a very quick trip to Colonial Williamsburg via Interstate 64. All hook ups worked well. Restrooms and showers are in the center of the campground - and there should be more of them, but with our own facilities this was not an issue. Wi-Fi is strong all over the campground. Cable includes a number of movie channels. There is a nice swimming pool and various sports fields. We looked at several of the campgrounds in Williamsburg, and to us, this looks the best - and we enjoyed our stays. We will definitely be going back.

Full Hook-up sites are limited in number when all are available to campers but unfortunately 4 of the sites are occupied by Park Hosts. These sites are all pull throughs which the majority of RVs (40 feet or less) can get into without difficulty. There are miles of paved roads that you can ride your bike on which I really enjoyed. There are many access points to the lake which has dropped significantly due to the drought. The park is close to Mathis where you can buy the essentials. Corpus Christi is about 30 minutes drive away. Be aware that there is a $4 per person per day fee on top of the camping fee; we are TX State Park Pass holders so this fee did not apply. We would camp here again.

Sites with 50 amp are large but consist of dirt/mud, weeds. Cement pad is really only wide enough for RV with slides. Very little maintenance is done to the sites by park staff, It is your responsibility. Office manager stated if we didn't like the site we could plant grass, lay sod or put down rugs or mats to cover the dirt. They weren't doing anything to the sites. We found out that people that returned to this park each year did their own yard maintenance, including cement pad enlargement, walkways, grass, etc. That is fine for long term residents but it doesn't work for the short (less than 4 month) stay. Lots of people that were staying for 5-6 months planted grass seed or sod, but then management complained about the increased water usage. You couldn't win with this group. Also had a problem with pest control (mainly ants, but also heard about termites too) It was also your responsibility to cover costs for exterminator services. Cable was only 5 channels which were mostly Spanish. WI-FI seemed to only be available at the clubhouse in the library. All activities are run by volunteers. Don't know how Trailer Life Directory got their info on this park but I feel their rating is too high compared to other parks in Alamo and area. It's not a RESORT, at least not compared to other one's we have stayed at. Would not stay here again until we heard they improved conditions of the sites.

We are long term here. This park is in evolution and is just being discovered by snowbirds. It has filled up this winter. Lots of room, well established sod, concrete drives and pads. Excellent hookups, well placed. Both shady and sunny sites. Close, but not too close to Gulf Shores. Convenient to shopping. Nearby RV service and diesel service. Easy access, except for one mile construction of county road that is being converted to major highway from I-10 to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. Bargain priced for such a nice facility.

This campground was very noisy after hours. A few drunk party goers made sleeping impossible. Our site was very muddy and was quite a mess. There wasn't as much for the kids to do as it seemed. Overall, we were very glad to get home.

We camped here in a cabin in August. The staff are very helpful and kind. The scenery is gorgeous. Campgrounds are clean and well organized. We felt very safe and protected there. We swam in the heated pool, hayrides, trails, canoe rentals, live music, playgrounds, dog run, fishing, the whole deal. Kids had a blast! Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves throughout the grounds, By far our favorite campground in PA.

Very nice clubhouse with a little store you can buy some basic supplies in. The closest grocery store is about 8 miles away so that helps if you come in with low supplies. The staff is very nice. The pool and hot tub are very clean and well cared for. The showers and bathroom are spotless and the laundry room is very large with ample washers and dryers. The resort is on a "one way" divided highway which is a pain... you have to go backwards to go forwards. We have stayed here before and have always enjoyed it. This time there appears to be quite a few "full timers". There is too much stuff stacked outside on some of these units which is very unappealing to me. There is a fantastic walking, biking trail right behind the resort. You can go out the back gate to access it. It goes through a beautiful marsh land area and it goes for miles.

It was a rainy weekend but still a very nice experience. Sites 1 to 10 are large, paved, well separated, and easy to back into. Nice covered tables. Great family park with large open areas, pool, playground. 9 hole golf course for $11. Excellent over the air (no cable) TV. Smaller tent sites were well shaded and nicely located along creek. 7" rain last month caused wide spread creek flooding and blocked road, but 1" we had was not even noticed. Texas needs the rain! Great barbeque in town. $18 camping + $3 each daily admission.

Level gravel pull thru with nice electrical box. No TV cable and no antenna reception. Asked @ check in if freezing temps were expected and got a smart, non-answer. Used heated hose but supply line froze. Called to report that we couldn't shut off spigot and was told to pour hot water over it. When told we had no water, the Mr. hung up on me. Called back to tell them we thought they were overpriced for no cable, no wifi and no water, received another smart comment and was hung up on again. Better, cheaper places to stay in either direction.

We stayed here because we wanted to be on the sand. The winter sand berm is up, but we were at the north end so we could still see water to the north of the berm. Our three year old loved climbing the berm. First jets flew over at about 4am, then all day. The girl loves the jets, so that was a plus. It...s a beautiful beach and was relatively quiet. Got an occasional whiff of the sewage treatment plant across the street, like someone left their sewer hookup open. We...ll definitely return, as this is the only beachfront site around with *full* hookups.

Awesome view, great fishing, horrible bugs! This is my husband...s favorite park. He spent days fishing from the beach and catch Whiting all day long (50-60 each day). I like it but the No-see-ums are vicious when the wind is not blowing. There are two camping loops. We camped in Gulf Breeze site 51; we were 10 steps from the beach. The site has no shade, small lots and no barriers between the next sites. Its also an older campground in that most of the ...snowbirds... stay in this campground throughout the winter. But the fact that we fell asleep each night listening to the waves made it worth it. The other campground is Shady Pines. Its younger, more tents, more trees, more shade, further from the beach but more secluded. From our drive by, it looks like the best sites are 90, 88 and 91. We will try Shady Pines on our next trip. Hike the Wilderness Preserve 14 mile trail but you will need a permit since only 20 people a day are allowed into that section of the park. Also take some time about an hour before sunset to look for the deer. They are everywhere. Overall, the scenery is what makes this park. The bug, however, are ruthless.

One of our favorites in the state because there is so much to do. Awesome fishing off the bridge in the park (caught a bunch of large mouth bass), excellent kayaking on the Chipola River from the park launch, great biking on the paved roads, and interesting cave tour. Hiking is limited and the back trails are just OK, but the other activities make up for it. Be aware of poisonous snakes. We saw bunches of Cottonmouth Moccasins on the river while kayaking. Rangers said because it was an abnormally warm winter but there was no way I was getting in the water. The campground was peaceful and quite. Very wooden behind the sites but not much privacy between the sites. We camped in site 16 which we think is the best (there are no neighbors on one side). Bathrooms are new and very clean with tons of hot water. Outside of the park check out the Jackson Blue Springs (not to be confused with the one in the Park). Don...t waste your time kayaking from Yancy...s Landing (outside the park) on the Chipola River. The water is dirty with lots of trash. It...s much more private and scenic inside the park. We didn...t get to see it because it...s only open from Labor Day to Memorial Day but we heard it...s amazing. The cave tour was good. We did the last tour of the day and it was just the two of us and a Ranger. That was cool. Overall, one of our favorite parks in the state. Tons to do and very beautiful.

Best part of Torreya is the hiking trails. They are like no other in Florida. Miles of remote trails filled with hills (mountains by Florida standards) and gorgeous views. But make sure you are a great hiker; especially for the Torreya Challenge - its tough, no water and no exits. But totally worth it. The campground is older but still nice in that its remote. Our favorite site was 17 because it overlooked a 150ft cliff into the wilderness and did not have neighbors on one side. Caution with this site. The water hook up is on the wrong side and a long hose is needed. The Ranger gave us one since ours was too short. Campground host is amazing. Super nice guy and so very helpful. Bathrooms are older and hot water goes quickly. Overall, it...s OK in that it...s remote and good hiking. But that...s it...limited biking, no water access for 30 miles.

Overall, a very nice park in a good location. We had a back-in site in the B loop with good views of the lake, nearby airfield, and, on a clear day, downtown L.A. Very quiet at night (did hear the coyotes a couple of times). There was good spacing between the sites in our area; other areas seemed to have the sites closer together. I guess the restrooms/showers were clean enough but old and showing wear-and-tear. Lacking amenities such as paper towel dispensers, air dryers, and stools for the shower cubicles. Cable system had no sports channels or PBS channel. Several of the sites, including ours, had the utilities in the center of the site. Lacking an extension cord, we couldn't back all the way in and take advantage of the maximum length of the site. Surveying the park, we noticed some of the sites were like ours, others had the utilities at the rear of the site. Considering everything, we would stay here again.

Rate shown for basic site. Site was a gravel pull-through, fairly level, and included a table and a BBQ grill. Most campsite tables were overrun by sea gulls and needed a good clean. An onsite store/cafe makes a good hamburger. The best reason to stay here though is the beach. Miles from anywhere else adds to the charm.

Clean and quiet park. Conveniently located near a station that sells diesel. They will fill your propane tanks at the park. Manager very friendly and helpful. They sell a few RV supplies and ice cream in the office. They have a free machine to fill your tires with air. Jelly Belly factory is about 20 miles and a fun tour. We will stay here again and recommend it to friends.

We loved this place and will come back and stay longer the next time. We had an ocean view site and were about 150' feet from the ocean. You can hear the surf, watch kayaks and surfers, see incredible sunsets and hear sea lions bellow in the early morning hours. There is a cafe open for breakfast and lunch in the complex. Adequate place for an overnight. Gallup is not a destination. Easy access from I-40 on west end of town. Since it was cold and the windows were closed the trains didn't bother us. But did hear them in the night. Yes, it is at the end of the runway. Thought we needed to duck a couple of times. Didn't smell the problem mentioned by others. Clean big gravel parking lot with lots of seasonal residents. No junk allowed so it looked good. Trash cans close to sites. Wi-Fi adequate. Water and electric good. Dog walk was off in one corner of the park. Easy in and out for big rigs. Would camp here again. This isn't campground related... Just down the road there is an old Route 66 restaurant. Virgies serves some killer Mexican food. Have been eating there for years. On a busy Saturday night the place was packed and we were the only Anglos. No problem just good food.

It...s all about location, location, location when it comes to this campground. It...s a short walk to the beach from most sites and as a result, it...s very popular with snowbirds. Many of the sites are huge with concrete pads. But there are also a couple of rows of sites so tight that you can...t put out two slides. Unfortunately, the office computer doesn...t provide any information on how big a site is and as a result they don...t ask how big your rig is. That results in a crap shoot. The sign-in process is incredibly complicated and to make matters worse, the Visa machine was broken and as a result we had to come up with $200 in cash before we were allowed to enter. We pleaded with the clerk to accept a $50 deposit and we would come back with the balance on Monday when the banks opened, but the answer was a curt: NO. It took us two hours to finally get settled. We wanted to stay for a week ($185 plus $15 deposit for electricity) but the first site we were sent to was so tight we couldn...t get our slides out. It...s over a quarter of a mile back to the office, which had no air conditioning or ventilation. After lining up for 20 minutes a second time, we were offered another site, which was occupied. Back to the office and another line up and the third site was even smaller than the first. Back to the office and another line up and the fourth site was also occupied. We finally asked for a site for only two nights ($35 a night) but the clerk refused to refund us the difference between the $200 we had paid him and the $70 we owed him. He said the city would mail us a refund cheque to our home address, despite the fact that he had been unable to provide us with a site for the week. It went downhill from there. Only a government bureaucrat could make life so complicated for campground guests.

Park is conveniently located next to I-5. We stayed here last spring and there have been some changes all for the better. Friendly manager and helpful to locating services in the area. They offer pastries, coffee and hot cereal each morning. Despite being close to I-5 the site we had was quiet. This is a Passport America park and they charge a $5 surcharge for electricity. We will stay here again.

Needed to dump tanks and do laundry etc after dry docking in Yuma. Seems like a nice place-Many people gathering for potluck-looked like regulars seasonals. Spaces are narrow for big rigs but got our 4 slides out- Trees on either side were tricky to park under, but doable. No TV reception except for Mexican stations. Verizon air card worked great. Only one small house pet allowed-but exceptions can/must be approved by office. Pet owners are parked in separate area from other campers. We have 2 cats and were put here as well even tho cats are indoor cats. Strictly over 55 park. Did not use other facilities. Close to Algodones Mexico was a plus. Would stay again.

Stayed here 2 nites with PA discount. Old Old campground- not well kept up- looks like lots of seasonal snow birds and a few permanents. Bec's Store and RV Park is in a lovely area in the scenic hill country about 6 miles north of Concan, TX. Bec's is only a couple miles from Garner State Park and access to the Frio River. The campground is well shaded by beautiful oak and pecan trees and the sites are very large, well groomed and level. The managers were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. We would stay here again.

Please DO NOT confuse this crummy RV park with the much better Comanche Land RV Park. The Comanche Motel RV Park is located in a very rough looking area inside the town of Fort Stockton. This so called RV park is nothing more than a dirt lot behind the Comanche Motel. You can't see this from the street or we would have kept right on going. When we arrived it was getting dark and we were tired. The girl in the motel office quoted us a rate of $15 and said their rate included cable TV and Wi-Fi. We thought what the heck, it's only for one night. The girl's mother directed us behind the motel and we were shocked to find ourselves bouncing through a dirt lot that was rougher than a washboard. There was a lot of trash and debris in the area as well. There were quite a few campers staying there and they were quite friendly, however, we still felt compelled to sleep with a gun within easy reach. The only reason I gave this place a rating of 3 out of 10 is for the cable and Wi-Fi which worked very well.

This is only the 2nd TRUE RV resort we have visited. They also offered a FMCA discount. This park is so impressive from the moment you go into the office to register. The staff could not be any friendlier to their guests. After being escorted to our creek side site the staff stayed to make sure everything was hooked up correctly and we understood. The club house is gorgeous with a state of the art fitness center and movie theater. There are activities planned; however, we were there only a short time and did not participate, but they looked very fun. The 3 pools with spas are fantastic, not to mention the tennis courts! We even roller-bladed in the resort. It was an easy launch with our kayaks up Henderson Creek. The everglades park is very close as is Marco Island. We will be back, and I suggest if you are looking for an incredible experience you book ASAP!

Very nice park on hill overlooking city. We arrived after closing, but manager came & helped us get checked in. Pet friendly with a large grassy area next to a large pond with waterfalls. We had a pull through site that was large enough that we did not have to unhook. We would have liked to have stayed longer than one night, after seeing how nice & quiet this park is. Definitely will stay here again, and would possibly consider purchasing a lot, as this looks be a great spot when finished. We camped here in a Fifth wheel.

This place is great! We found it on this web-site and decided to give it a try. Came in for one night and stayed a week. We were sorry to leave. It's close enough to Joshua Tree National Park to make it a great base camp for day trips out into the desert to explore. The second we pulled up to the office we were greeted warmly by the managers and escorted to our site quickly. This is a small snowbird community that happily welcomes all of their guests and makes them feel at home right away. Spotless clean facilities and a very nice pool and spa. Also, a fun and challenging golf course that is also very reasonably priced. Highly recommend this place, we'll be coming back for a longer visit next winter!

Our rate is based on being a TT member. However, the cg is open to the public. About 1/2 of the sites have no sewer and all have only 30 amp. This is a difficult place to camp, unless you like boon docking. The only Wi-Fi is in the lounge area. There are only two washers and two showers in the men bathroom. The trail and scenery is nice.

First impressions would not have rated quiet so high. No paved campsites. When you first enter narrow road and these campsites would be hard to get into with big rigs. However it gets better as you get farther starting with site 20. We stayed in site 21 and loved it. This is a small campground and is quiet. The river is beautiful here with hiking trails along the side of it. It also has a washer/dryer at the bath house which came in handy. Lots of trees so getting your satellite set up can be difficult. We would stay here again.

Staff and neighbors are super friendly, there are amenities and activities to boggle the mind. Pools, hot tubs, spas, restrooms and showers are spotless. Laundry on site. Restaurants on site. Sports activities. Gym equipment and programs for fitness and health. There are more bicycles than golf carts in this community. Sites are large enough but rigs must be parked on the crushed rock and tow vehicles and tods must park on the concrete pads. Each site was designed to accommodate a park model and additions. Utilities are convenient at the rear of each site. All streets are paved with room enough to maneuver for parking and backing off the street. You will find a golf cage, tennis courts, shuffleboard, croquet, horseshoes, putting green, billiards, lapidary shop, ceramic room, silversmith shop, wood shop, music room, art room and much more. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

I thought the rate would be a little cheaper since it is connected to a casino but not so. The park is right beside a commuter train station. You have to cross the tracks to enter the park which means the train blows his horn every trip. The lack of Wi-Fi was also a bummer. The park just looked dirty, the trash cans where all full and overflowing which did not help the appearance. I doubt that we will stay again.

This is a Passport America park, and the rate reflects this. The photos on the website aren't exactly what is actually here. We are parked on grass/dirt, but there is a concrete pad for a patio. We were going to stay here for 3 days, & looked around to see if there was anything that suited us better, but decided to stay for the 14 days they allow with PA. We at first were put in a pull through with concrete, & when we extended our stay we got moved to the other site. We parked as far back as we could & still step out the door on to the concrete. I had to use 2 sewer hoses & barely got hooked up, and had to use 50' of water hose. It rained while there & we had to walk in mud from the patio to the truck. Everyone we've talked to-staff included were very friendly. Probably would stay here again.

This is usually our first overnight stop when we head south, and our last night stop on our way home. We used a back in site, and the rate was cheaper than the pull throughs. We also got a AAA discount. Sites are thick, packed, level gravel so our rig leveled firmly. Year round full hook ups with winter-proof water shut offs are a plus. Friendly staff and guide to site as noted by others. This campground is close to I-95 so you can hear some traffic, but the easy access to and from the campground saves time and miles when all you need is a clean, friendly place to stop for the night.

It is like a large parking lot with gravel and cement. They desperately need some additional trees, even on the edges of the park. Office was very friendly, and they escorted you to a site.Choice lake view spots taken by long term yearly campers. Water pressure was very poor. Also there was a strong sewer odor when wind blows wrong direction. Campers very clicky and seem to know one another from year to year. Stayed for 2 weeks. Would not return for short stay.

Well, this is an older park. We paid $10, Passport America and it was worth it. Bathrooms and showers are very tired but clean for how old they are. The lots are big. Cable is excellent, 64 analog and 28 digital. We couldn't get the Wi-Fi where we were but are self contained so we hadn't asked to have it. Check in was friendly. Good one nighter on our way.

The park was well laid-out and convenient - could walk to WalMart for supplies. The showers were clean and modern, but the key system to get in was very cumbersome; had to unlock the swimming pool gate and then the shower room door. Even needed the key to unlock the gate to get out. The worst problem was the Wi-Fi which was advertized as available but actually only if paid and with an unreliable provider.

This is a really nice park. The owners are nice as well. Everything was super clean. The sites were good size on grass and a small pad.

Nice RV park in town and close to everything. Pull-through sites as well as back-in are available with full hookups. Nice fitness room, laundry, clean and well stocked rest rooms, swimming pool, and hot tub. This is the second time we stayed at this park and will definitely come back when we are in the area again. We stayed here for 4 nights. Try the Black Bear Diner and Pier 49 Pizza with sourdough crust.

We stayed here overnight. It said in one magazine we picked up that they had cable, which they don't. The place is a bit run down and needs a lot of work done to it. It's OK for a one night stay.

We stayed here for a week. Nice park with lots of fruit trees. Very clean, felt safe & secure, as you have a security gate upon entering. Very pet friendly, but wish it were larger, as there can be a wait for the pet area. Everyone very nice. Quiet, clean campground. Would like to see a little more grass, (our dog is from up north & its taking awhile to adjust) but met the nicest people that dog walk every morning off leash up the road.. Everyone has their own picnic table and BBQ. We will stay here again.

Great resort and great location, would definitely return. Right on the beach, and what a gorgeous beach it is; the sand was like talc. No free wi-fi which is a liberty when you are paying good money to stay there and sites are a bit close but apart from that it was perfect

This park was clean. The sites are all grass, and the staff was nice. We had a problem with the cable and someone came and fixed it within moments of our call. The wi-fi is iffy and did not work for us. We stayed for one night.

This park is run like a well oiled machine. It's really big and has lots of manufactured homes. If you want to stay in a place with lots of stuff to do, and lots of people milling around, cars zipping here and there, this is the place for you. It even has dog washes for the dogs and 2 really nice dog parks. It was nice, but we prefer something a bit smaller, more intimate and quieter. That's not a complaint just a preference. We stayed only one night. We will stay again for a night. It's a bit much for us for long term.

The guy below must have been an awful driver. Yes, the sites are not too big, but there is easily enough room to park a 25 ft trailer. Sounds like the guy just had a bad experience with the druggies and let it cloud his judgement. Great location for the beach and deathly quiet at night. Wi-fi was very in and out. Showers good and laundry, too. Excellent restaurant across the road, an absolute must if you stay here.

Nice park that is very pet friendly. Lots of security going by. We had a 70' pull through so we didn't have to unhook. After reading about the sewer thing, we were a little iffy about staying. No problem, everything perfect. Not the widest sites, but we had plenty of room for the slide outs. Quiet at night, nice people, & the buffet & restaurant had excellent food. Will definitely stay here again.

We stopped here because it looked good on the website & it was on the north end of town, closer to the freeway north. We should of went with our gut feeling, when this seems to be in a very seedy part of town, & went elsewhere, but decided to give it a try. The office has to buzz you in after checking you out on a security camera at 2 in the afternoon. It is gated & can be fairly challenging getting in & out. Our space seemed to be in an area of older full time trailers with the exception of a couple. We're told that the special was prime rib & the brochure said they had a non smoking dining room. Decided to give it a try, since we didn't want to venture out into the neighborhood. Went to the restaurant. There was no dining room, only Pool tables. Asked the gal tending bar where we could eat. She said we could sit anywhere at the bar, if we didn't mind the cigarette smoke. Needless to say we didn't eat. Stopped by the office on our way back to the trailer & asked about the prime rib special &no smoking dining room. They said they should probably update their brochure. The traffic at the park seems to pick up between 2 & 3 am. Full timers going to & from work? Although the couple of people that worked there seemed nice enough, definitely did not have that secure feeling. Very pricy for the location. Went to another park the next day.
