This is a very nice, relatively quiet park. Blacktop roads and gravel sites (fairly level). Long pull-throughs with good Wi-Fi and excellent satellite reception. Most sites have a concrete patio and many have an upright fireplace. The office staff has always been friendly to us and the facilities are clean (but a little cold this time of year). Be warned, though, they've just installed two of the nastiest speed bumps we've ever seen. They're just ahead of the registration area and no speed is slow enough.

Nice place, but be careful getting to it. We used our GPS, but should have followed the campground's directions. The is a sign at a crossroads outside the campground, but it is very misleading on where to turn. We missed the correct turn and had to drive for miles before we could turn around. However, once we were there, the stay was nice. The park was clean and spacious with large and level pads. The interior roads were narrow in some parts, but we were able to get around them. The campground has a lot of amenities as indicated on their web site, but we were only there one night and didn't get to enjoy them.

Thousand Trails campground, so no fees for members. This is a nice park. I want to return in the winter! Roads are gravel, and so are the sites, but everything seemed to be nicely maintained. Adult and all age pools are outdoor. This is a treed park that I think you would enjoy visiting. Staff was very friendly.

Great spot. My brother told me about this campground and recommended it. We spent just one night but wish we had stayed longer. Our site was overlooking the Mississippi River. It was very quiet and easy to get into and out of. We will definitely stay there again.

Still absolutely the best designed and maintained park in the Myrtle Beach area. Only down side is if you are a true "Beach" person you must drive to a public parking area and walk/carry your stuff to the ocean front. We generally select Cherry Grove for the beach. Staff is absolutely great. Facilities shine! They recently started allowing swimming access to the lake at their beach. Water slide is great for kids. This is a park where we feel very safe and secure. Great for kids and somewhat pet friendly (some pet restrictions).

You must be realistic in rating this campground. First, it is strictly an overnight stopping place, not somewhere you would want to go on vacation. As others have noted, the sites are long but narrow; the roads & sites are gravel; there are some older junky full-time campers on the back row; and there is noise from the Interstate. No playground. It is only satellite friendly in the winter when no leaves are on trees - but free cable is excellent. Best for totally self-contained RV's -- use your own shower and potty. Unfortunately, it is the ONLY RV Park in the Roanoke Valley other than the Blue Ridge Parkway which has no hookups, size limits and closes Nov. 1. So, if you want to stop in the Roanoke Valley this is "IT." Now the good parts. True 50 amp power - stable 122 VAC. Excellent free cable TV with strong signals and great channel selection. Absolutely the best FREE Wi-Fi I have found anywhere. Sewer hookup (3" connection). Good tasting potable water with adequate pressure. Sites are level or only slight slope. Easy entrance and exit from I-81 and side roads. Interesting antiques and collectibles store. Friendly staff. Dog walk. 20 minutes from downtown Roanoke, the Conference Center & Civic Center and a huge full service Camping World.

We stayed here overnight. It is mainly a permanent trailer park with spaces for transients between permanent residents. The park appeared to be very clean and we would stay there again.

This park is beautifully landscaped and immaculately maintained. River views are lovely. Lots are level and spacious, and you get to choose your own. One of the benefits of being on HHI is its bike friendliness, which you cannot take advantage of here. We had to load the bikes on the toad to take them anywhere to ride. To not have wi-fi at each site, at this price, is inexcusable.

Not a place for kids. Under 18 or 19 only allowed for 2 weeks per year. They have activities for snowbirds and everything seems to be catering to them. The park wasn't very clean; the leaves and branches from the trees were all over and not cleaned up. There were many empty sites but we were only given a few choices.

Entrance coming from the west is a very tight, narrow, turn unless you can swing into the oncoming traffic lane to make a wide turn. Not a big rig friendly entrance. Short rigs may have no problem. Park itself has 90 degree turns on interior streets with large boulders on the inside of the turns and permanent residents vehicles parked so that you can not swing as wide as you would want to make a comfortable turn. The boulders are situated on the street corners and could be be a real side smasher! Just be very aware. Wi-fi does not reach very far from the clubhouse. We would not stay again because of the chance of coach damage.

It is the best overnight stop we've found so far between Bakersfield and Sacramento. There is easy access off I-5. There are paved roads but rough pull-throughs, psrt gravel, part rough poured concrete. There is limited cable TV. The WiFi worked fine. There are shops and gas stations nearby.

We have stayed here several times travelling through Medford. It is a very good place to stay overnight. There is easy access off I-5. The staff is friendly. There are very clean restrooms, laundry. There is a seasonal outdoor pool. There is a strip mall between park and the freeway. The cable & WiFi worked well. The sign says 5-star, but it is looking a bit worn with some permanent RVs.

I stay here before and got good service. This time it was different. It was advertise that you get a discount if you ask for one. I didn't and the lady thought I was crazy! s. She ask the only one sitting there and he respond that they do not give discount Then he said the price was $30.00 but everyone is charge $25.00. To be honest, I think it is kind of high because there was no cable or internet set-up. Right next to the camp ground is a truck stop that was making loud sounds all through the night. Right now I don't believe i will stay here again unless some major changes takes place. There is a campground just a few miles from here that chargers less, and you can get cable-TV there....

This is a clean park. The staff was friendly. I requested a site with cable-TV (for all sites do not have it at this time). Once I got set up and begin to set-up my television, I found out that the cable wasn't working corrected. I ask the office if there was a problem with the cable and yes, they have been having major problems with the cable company. They have call and call and still have not had a return call from the cable company. (Their contact will run out at the end of the year, and I believe they are looking at getting a new cable company to come in and take over) Anyway, I wanted to see a football game on Saturday and was unable to pick it up with my TV. Their office is close on Saturdays and Sunday, so they gave me a key to the Club house so I could watch the ball game there. This is a great camp ground... the only other concern is the train. You could hear it on several occasions during the night. But it wasn't that bad.... Also it was right beside a major road.... I will stay again here if I ever get an opportunity.

It was one of those parks that when you begin to enter, you start questioning, "What am I getting myself into." However, it is a little out of the way but it was worth it. As it was said the owner was a fine man who gave me a wonderful welcome. Wasn't much to do there but it was a nice quiet place to stay. Yes, if I am ever back in the area I would camp there again. I did get a 10% discount because of Good Sam Card.

Located along the river in Carmel Valley over a VERY narrow single lane bridge. Very tight spaces, crammed together and separated by 6ft hedges. Our site was so small we barely had room for our toad (durango suv) Had to park it very close to RV even to get it into the site. Only able to open the car door on one side. Crazy tight!!! Place was clean and very quiet. Only saving grace was close proximity to Carmel. We won't camp here again.

You can't go wrong here, they have surely raised the bar on this resort. The staff and RVers alike project the friendly atmosphere created by the owner. The landscaping and services are 2nd to none. Location is perfect and the city offers casinos, quiet beaches and a laid back atmosphere in a secure environment. It's one of those hidden gems; can't wait to get back to this destination.

A great COE campground with full hook-ups. We had a pull-thru site which gave us plenty of room. The roads are paved and the driveways are concrete and level. Each site has a grill, table, fire ring and lamp pole. The hosts were most helpful and friendly. Everything was maintained very well with excellent walking roads and paths. Even in November it was warm and sunny, which made for a wonderful visit. We would love to visit again! Demopolis has stores and restaurants. Kora's Place for southern cooking!

Easy access from 1-10, far enough away so that highway noise was minimal. The sites are level, no landscaping to speak of. It's a great place to stop for the night, friendly staff, activities if you wish to stay longer.

Located in Texas Hill Country, this RV resort is central to Austin, San Antonio, Johnson City, Fredericksburg and several other interesting towns. The resort is beautifully landscaped and well maintained with large level pull-through lots and several back-ins overlooking Miller Creek. We can't say enough about the friendly staff and the owner who seemed to be non-stop enhancing an already great RV resort. Our dog appreciated the "Dog Run", and we appreciated the "Y'all Come" dinner held on Wednesday nights. The food and fellowship were fabulous and the small charge couldn't have begun to cover the spread. This will be the only place we'll stay when in the area again.

We had intended to stay for two nights, but once we started to park our motorhome, we decided to leave after only one night. There is a $1 fee per night for having a dog. There are many long term guests. The good: our site was level, and the rest seemed the same. The bad: the clerk didn't know now to process a credit, so we had to follow up in the morning (at least they gave us a credit); Verizon broadband service doesn't work, and the owner said AT&T doesn't either; clerk told us their fee-paid Wi-Fi is weak; not one blade of grass anywhere; sites are so close together, slide-outs have to be positioned carefully to avoid touching; many sites are pull-in, not back-in; lake view is minimal; no picnic tables or fire rings - no room. We felt we were bamboozled by the reviews on this site, and will use more caution in the future. Not sure we'll ever come to Lake Havasu City again, but if so we'll find another campground.

We found the owners very friendly and told us where we could find close shopping and offered suggestions on things to see and how to get to them. Internet was very good. Stayed there on Passport America, definitely will go back and will let other RVers know about this park. Enjoyed being able to walk in the desert, also nice big sites. Park and laundry area very clean.

This is a very fine state park and the Federal Senior Pass is honored. The roads and sites are paved. Each site has a table, grill and fire ring. We were in a pull-thru site (#4) which, as other reviews have mentioned, requires some maneuvering to get the water and electric hooked up. In order to be on the hook-up side would have the door on the rig open to the road, not the site amenities. We drove in the opposite direction and finally got the water/electric to reach. One section has 50 amp service, which was installed after Katrina. The view of the Lake is magnificent! Taking the Causeway into New Orleans is convenient. This is truly swampland and the grass areas stayed damp the entire two weeks. Walking in this park is excellent. Mandeville has plenty of places to shop and eat.

Another well maintained COE campground. Our site (#47) was a huge back-in with plenty of space until the next site. Each site has a fire ring, grill, table and lamp pole. The lake surrounds the campground, although not all sites are on the water. The restroom and laundry were clean, but out dated. There is a covered trash pail at each site. The roads are paved and sites are gravel. Very good park for walking. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. We had trees, but a miracle occurred when our rooftop dish worked! Someone should be responsible for cleaning out the fire rings.

Thousand Trail members don't pay a nightly fee. It is a nice park with good amenities. The downfalls are the trail to the beach is pretty rough and many sites are water and electric only. For a short stay, this is a nice park and you can drive onto the beach if you have a suitable vehicle. Some of the turns in the park are a bit tight for larger motorhomes, but certainly a park that is worth visiting. The roads are paved and the sites are graveled. Watch for bunnies!

We have stayed here several times as it is easily reached from I-81. The campground is very well run, clean and fine for a big rig. The roads and sites are gravel and level. The staff is helpful and will escort you to the appropriate site.

Another example of KOA's love affair with trees. etting in and out is somewhat challenging, and would be greatly facilitated if some well positioned trees were eliminated. The staff is very helpful and gave us an "easier" site as we were having engine problems. We had a pull-through, which was level and gravel. The sites are very close to one another. It must be said that this campground is extremely easy to reach, as it is directly off the I-81 exit.

I put $1 as the rate because a number is required, but TT/LTR members don't pay to stay. I stay at this park at least once a month, so I am very familiar with it and thoroughly enjoy the park and staff. The weaknesses are the road condition (potholes and muddy) and very poor cell & Wi-Fi coverage in the area. Other than that, this is a great location and you should enjoy your stay.

The rate reflects Good Sam discount. The pull thrus are very long and you have a choice of gravel or concrete, river front or not, with according prices. It is pleasant to be on the river bank of the Mississippi and watching the tugs. There is free laundry!

This is a beautiful setting for a southern Calif. ocean side park. It's large but sites we saw are spaced nicely apart. The park was almost empty, which surprised us at this time of year. We were unable to find pull throughs and hookups, as stated at the Calif. State Park website. We dry camped. There were no rangers in attendance and users had to register and deposit the fees self-serve. Clean and handy. We will stay here again.

Packed sand roads, grass/sand sites. Our site was among many tall pines. It...s very rustic with few amenities but pleasant. The manager was extremely nice and helpful. We were in a long pull through that easily accommodated our total 60... length with some room to spare. Long term and permanent residents, a few mobile homes. I would not recommend this park for children. Cash or check only, no credit cards. Check out time 11am. Rate reflects Escapees discount. Price is too high for this type of park, we probably will not stay here again. No Wi-Fi.

Rate reflects various discounts. We stayed here twice in October for a total of 10 days. I have numerous previous reviews on this park and was tempted to give it a 9 for the first time. In the past, I have encountered too many instances of poorly behaved customers. During my October visits the park was never really crowded enough to determine whether or not this has changed but management has instituted several policies to improve the situation. For example, they have installed several speed bumps and limited access to the pool to the front door of the lodge to prevent non-guess use and other problems. I wont know until I stay here next year on a crowded weekend to see if these changes have improved the situation. Personally I don't have a problem with them charging for Wi-Fi. When you consider their top rate is less than $25 a day, even $4 a day for Wi-Fi, this park's cost is low for a resort with all these facilities. As an aside, where a previous reviewer (06/09) came up with a daily rate of almost $40, I have no idea. To repeat my prior comments, this is a very good park except when other customers are, to put it mildly, really inconsiderate.

This is a well maintained and reasonably priced RV Park. We were somewhat misled when we called ahead and asked what the nightly rate was and did they have cable TV. We were told that they had cable TV, but were not informed that you had to contact the local cable company and arrange a monthly hookup in order to have cable TV. That is nice for those that want to stay a month, however, when we asked for the nightly rate and inquired about cable we should have been informed about the cable arrangements. We would not have gone there had we known all the facts.

This is a good overnight park. There are new owners and the managers are enthusiastic about the owner upgrading the grounds. They are bringing in gravel, revamping the pond, and are going to add cable.

This campground is extremely over priced. Nothing is paved in the entire campground and the entrance drive has deep holes in it. The trees make it very close to drive big rigs through. It is about 11 miles from the Gulfshores activity area. The staff is very friendly. We camped here in a motorhome and would not stay here again.

A wonderful park! Beautiful setting on the water, clean, spacious. easy to park, great concrete sites, really level. It appears to be mostly long-time seasonal residents but people were very friendly to us during our 5-day stay; the seasonal sites were very neat & well-kept. The highway is extremely busy but most sites are well away from it & we thought it was very quiet. We hope to stay there again on our way north.

$21.50 Passport America rate for 30 amp and water on a slab site. Park is a little rough around the edges, inside roads a bit rough and the grass was overdue for a mowing. But it is a great location and very good value with PA for the area. Good beach access.

We usually stop here when passing through the area, it is such a nice well kept RV park. All sites have orange trees which you can pick when in season. Our site was long enough for our 36 ft rig and tow, had 50 amp, free Wi-Fi and cable TV. It is a nice park to take a walk around, they have a lot of old farm equipment on display. We will continue to return to this park.

Nice little park off of Hwy 101. Very helpful office staff. Our 50 amp site had cable TV & free Wi-Fi and was long enough for our 36 ft rig and tow. Each site has grass on each side of the pad. Office gave us a 2 for 1 dinner coupon for the local Indian Casino, we took advantage of the prime rib buffet. There are a few permanent residents but the park is mostly overnight travelers. We would stay here again.

Very nice park - also very quiet at night with little road noise. Staff was wonderful - sites long and level. Great spot for an overnight visit or longer stay. Seemed to be lots of full timers - but still a great spot. The trees are amazing.

Bathrooms and showers were very clean and there was also a hair dryer in the women shower which was a nice extra. Check in was easy and office staff very pleasant. Some road noise but given the proximity to I-95 it was expected and actually not too bad. I have to question the wisdom of cutting down tree branches at 8 AM - seems a bit rude. The leave blowers were also obnoxious. Finally, beyond the campground is a private lake front community with several folks living there full time. Although the stated speed limit is 5 MPH, these folks were blowing through at around 25 MPH. Pretty obnoxious. But we were there just for an overnight and it was okay for that purpose.

The park website looked nice and the rate w/cable tv was appealing so we came here and committed to a week ($125), which was a mistake. Pull thru sites up front are really narrow and the residents kept driving thru the empty sites next to us, unless they were taken by over-nighties which meant no privacy. Lots of beat-up motorhomes and trailers here, many smokers (cig butts all over grounds), and dog poop not picked up. Didn't seem very safe. Also had trouble with very weak signal for Verizon air card, tho cell was okay. Best surprise was the clean, spacious shower house. OK for couple days if you have a short enough rig. Otherwise, look for nicer parks.

Good spot to do sightseeing in Independence and Kansas City - convenient to all. Fair price, nice laundry ($1.00 for wash or dry), iffy free Wi-Fi. Close but long spots to fit any rig, car in front. Not for recreational opportunities at the campground or long stays for vacation, but perfect for sightseeing base to local areas. Safe area right in the middle of the historic district of Independence.

Very large sites; clean and quiet. Sites in walking distance to Cavern. Staff is excellent. Park is extremely reasonably priced compared to commercial parks in the area. Conveniently located to Benson, Tombstone, Ft. Huachuca, Bisbee, etc. Gated and gate closes at 6:00 pm, so be sure to ask for a key card when you check in.

Owners very friendly and helpful. Large, sturdy, well constructed dog run. We trailer a vehicle and sites accommodated MH, trailer and vehicle comfortably. Sites level gravel and very clean and quiet. Not packed in like sardines. Would definitely recommend.

Exceptional RV park. Lots of space, wide and long paved sites with large concrete patio with concrete picnic bench. Very clean, new laundry facility. Great pool area, very clean also. Lots of space to walk and walk our dogs. Casino next door with restaurants and movie theatre. It is our first time here, but, we will be back!

This is not a campground! These site are privately owned and decorated/designed by each owner. We stayed at lot 6 which was the most beautiful site we have ever stayed at. It truly was paradise. It had it's own Tiki hut that came with a deck over a lagoon, furniture, dishwasher, sink, fridge and TV. I never wanted to leave. It seems though that there are two companies that rent these sites out on the owners behalf. Both operate through websites... one being bluewaterkey.net and the other bluewaterkey.com. Seems one doesn't care for the other because on the .com one they warned you about the .net one. I rented through the .net one not knowing there were two options at the time. Our stay was fantastic. Ken & Candy directed us to our site and got us in like pro's and were warm friendly people. The only thing I would say is if one company doesn't have what you want then try the other. I am not big on advertising one persons bad experience....especially since you only get one side of the story. All in All this was a GREAT place to stay while enjoying the keys. If you can swallow the high price, you wont regret it.

Older park in a very busy part of town. Staff was very friendly but sites were small, internet you had to pay for and it wasn't all that great. A lot of permanent sites. Roads are EXTREMELY narrow so getting in and out can be tricky. A lot of road noise 24/7. If you just need a stop over, this is fine but definitely not a destination. As in being in a bad part of town, I don't judge by the "ethnicity" of my neighbors.... I walked a few blocks to get my nails done and everything seemed fine to me.

You do need blocks to get level. The bath house is next door, so I tried it out. They are clean, but the showers are push-button timers with mister shower heads. No way to control the temp so with mist like water on a cold November night it needs to be hotter. The lake is nice and loaded with beaver... don't know about the fish. You can't beat it for a night's stay over for $17.00. I'd stay here again.

We are back again and one change is evident from our previous review....there is now high speed Wi-Fi in the park at no additional charge. It is still not an ideal place for younger children as there are no activities or playground for them however it is great for us 'older folks' that enjoy the peace and quiet. The TV reception, now that digital has taken over is better than before however in bad weather the reception does suffer....satellite users should not have any problems and there are a few dishes set up for Direct and Dish that can be used by subscribers.

Gravel road, grass sites. Park perimeter is trees and barbed wire fence, it feels like parking in a pasture or grassy field, only with hookups. Sites are wide enough for slides but still close together. The pull through sites are very long and easily accommodated our 60 foot length. Very few trees in the park. The park is on Hwy 98 so there...s some road noise. No picnic table or pad. Rustic but pleasant. A great park to ...do nothing... or as a base to visit Foley and Gulf Shores. Very nice, helpful owner. Rate reflects PA discount. For the price and relaxation, we may return. No Wi-Fi.

We stayed here for about a Month during October and early November. The staff was extremely helpful and the neighbors were friendly. The pool and clubhouse are quite nice as well. We instantly made friends and were even invited to a birthday party of one of the lot owners. I have no idea what people are talking about with the sewer smell - I never smelled a thing. We absolutely loved the park and would certainly stay here again. We're full-timers.

Check in was smooth and staff friendly. Wi-Fi works well although a new code must be entered daily, not sure why. Nice small lake. Place clean and well maintained. Pull thru site not as long as most KOA's so had to unhook dinghy. Near two major roads but noise tolerable. Noise within the park another story. One afternoon it was the leaf blower, then were awakened by tree trimming, take down and stump grinding at, get this, 8AM. Ridiculous. Then it was the power washing around the office building. I understand wanting to keep the park neat and clean but at what cost to the customer? Might return for an overnight only since I-95 access is very close.

This is a large state park on Lake Shelbyville. Since it was so late in the year they had closed parts of the camp ground. The area we were in was electric only with a mix of gravel and paved pads, as well as a mix of 30 and 50 amp sites All the roads are paved and in good shape. Most of the sites were well spaced and almost level with some areas fully shaded and other areas of little or no shade. The shower house was still open. While it is an older shower house it is well maintained and clean with lots of hot water. Lots of deer and birds in this park.

A great state park in a wonderful location. It's close proximity to the historic town of Madison is a great convenience. Many of the campsites have recently received some sprucing up with new gravel and utility connectors, and most are well spaced with plenty of room and privacy. There is a lot to do at the park when you're finished touring the local historic cities (Rutledge is nice in addition to Madison). Highly recommended!

Everything about the two loops in this campground is excellent: spacious campsites, level pads, clean restrooms. Water pressure and electric service were trouble free, and most of the sites are nicely tucked in among the trees. Highly recommended!

The wind was fierce that night, so I don't know if the noise we heard was that or the freeway, but while it is also a truck stop, I didn't hear any of the trucks There is a McDonalds, a Subway and a store there where you can purchase snacks and anything a travel may want.

This is not an RV Park. It is truly an RV RESORT. The grounds were immaculate and the sites wide and level. Upon entering, and attendant will dump both your black and gray water tanks and issue an environmentally friendly solution for your black tank. They do have a casino shuttle bus every 20 minutes. The casino restaurants were very good. There is a fuel station on the grounds as well as a "touch less" RV wash. This is on my "re stay" list.

Great location and great Florida State Park. We stayed for four days in February, and had a big site (#002) that backed right onto the water with a view directly east to the pass. Fantastic sunrises and moon rises without even leaving the trailer! Others have described all the amenities, so I won't go over them again, but they are first rate. As mentioned, dogs are not permitted on the Gulf beaches, but there is a county dog beach a few miles west by the fishing pier.

I am surprised by the rave reviews on this this web site. We thought it was a pretty ho hum park. We had full hookups on a partially shaded, gravel, 50A site. Ours, and all the 50 amp sites were very unlevel. The only level sites were 30 amp with concrete pads. If you have a big rig, you are forced to choose between easy set-up and low power, or a difficult set-up and high power. If you have a small rig the 30a sites are the obvious choice. Wi-Fi only works at the lodge, not in the park. The park sits high enough that there is steady noise from the interstate. There were also a couple of loud trains each day. On the plus side, it was very convenient to Mammoth Cave.

We liked this park. It's on a remote spot right on Guntersville Lake. We camped a week and launched our kayaks from the park three days. Our site was partially shaded with a level gravel pad and full 50A hookups. No Wi-Fi. The indoor pool and hot tub where open. The restaurant, library and exercise room where close since this is the off season. We really enjoyed this park. It is definitely a family park with lots to do for kids. We camped here when it was quiet and nearly empty.

This is part of the Georgia State park system and could easily be mistaken for a high end private campground. It is absolutely beautiful, spacious sites and immaculate. The bathrooms are old and could use a makeover. The golf course is used by the pros for practice before Augusta. It looks fabulous and I wish I had my clubs with me. Make it a destination. There are also camping cottages and horse facilities.

This is the fourth time we have visited this RV park and it is one of our favorites. The price reflects Passport America applied to the weekly rate. The grounds were immaculate, we saw no debris in the lake, it was clean and yes there were ducks but they posed no problem for us. The office staff were friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi is a "pay as you use" satellite system, $4.95/day or $17.95/week. We did not find the charge excessive and had no problems with it other than it was slow during peak times. The casino was not particularly smokey when we were there and the restaurant provided average food at pertty reasonable prices. We will stay again and recommend it to others.

If it weren't for this park's lengthy and ridiculous RULES sheet you are handed when you check in and its total lack of street lights, it would rate higher. One rule says in capital letters, "NO ELECTRIC HEATERS, PLEASE." Just what is the above-average $35 a day fee supposed to pay for if not utilities? Maid service? Paving? A 30 amp circuit will not run two electric heaters on high, nor could you stand the heat inside if they both ran constantly, but let's say you could do both. At 10 cents/KWH two electric heaters on high ALL NIGHT would cost less than four bucks. So what's the problem? I'm paying them ten times that and I can't use less than four bucks of electricity? Another says, "In the event of a hurricane or other natural disaster directed towards the Pensacola area, all visitors must leave the park... No refunds will be given to any persons due to a natural disasters (sic)." Just exactly why would you refuse someone a refund in those circumstances? There is an extra charge for more than two people. Just what is the extra cost to an RV park of another person? Ten gallons of water? And as usual, no vehicle washing. You pay $35 a day yet can't use more than a KWH or two of electricity and and one tenth the water a normal household uses per day? And what's with no refunds after they throw you out?? This campground has very good free Wi-Fi, picnic tables, level crushed rock sites, and the fellow who checked me in was very nice. But whoever wrote the rules should not be within ten feet of anyone who owns his own business. There are no street lights whatsoever and the place is black-hole dark at night. I'd rather stay in a Wal-Mart parking lot than go back here, given what I'd get for the money.

Shady Acres is about one mile from I-10 Exit 22. We liked Mobile, this park and its owners so much we stayed five nights instead of our planned three. There are active train tracks 1/4 mile away which are used in the daytime and once or twice at night and the noise did bother us, but not enough to offset this park's many positives; the owners might be the nicest we have ever met(!), the price is low, it is very easy to get to, it is less than four miles to city center, gorgeous big oak trees shade most of the park, there are $1 washers and dryers, and they have the fastest (free) Internet service we have ever found in a campground - 15Mbps down and 12Mbps up according to Speakeasy! The campground is quite near the secondary Mobile airport, but traffic is sparse, does not include anything louder than a turboprop, and we never heard an airplane go over at night. If you listen for the sound of traffic on the Interstate you can hear it, but it is not loud and is steady enough that it blends into the background - unnoticeable to us. The owner led us to our site and helped us park. Roads and sites are crushed rock and the long sites appear to have had a fresh layer added recently. There is not a lot of extra maneuvering room for the biggest rigs except at the front spaces because of the big trees. No hiking to a Dumpster. There is a very convenient big trash container, the type a garbage truck can pick up with a hydraulic arm, behind each site. Cable TV service, some channels of which are clear and others not, is limited to 15 channels which are an odd mix of local and cable channels, but at least The Weather Channel is included. Our hookups were in new condition. The family has owned the campground land for four generations. They live on site, just past some trees, down on the Dog River, and invite you to walk down their driveway and through their yard to see the river or to fish. We felt comfortable going for a walk in the modest neighborhood. The location is perfect for seeing Bellingrath Gardens (highly recommended, especially in the Christmas season), the beaches, forts, and the charming town of Fairhope on the other side of Mobile Bay. Be warned that the folks at Bellingrath only tell you photography is not allowed inside the house after you have bought your tickets to tour it. The gardens themselves are spectacular. There are three seafood restaurants near Shady Acres that we did not try. Four miles away, the Tiny Diny's famous breakfasts and home cooking lunches are not to be missed. We toured the Richards DAR house downtown and enjoyed it. Mobile is such a beautiful city we would consider moving there! Everyone is extremely friendly. Our $22 rate would have been $20 with Good Sam. We would stay nowhere else on our next visit.

Price shown is nightly rate. We were going to stay in Bakersfield but found it smokey due to the fire in Orange Co. so we put on a few more miles. Only game in the area when deciding to call it a day. We feel the price is way to high considering that this is a very basic RV park with no amenities. Entire park is dirt/sand. Drive ways are wide but are pot holed. Easy on and off of I-5 along with lots of fueling choices. Not sure if we will stay here again.

Price shown reflects their weekly rate. Sites are long enough for most rigs but are rather narrow for today's slide outs. A wider site will cost you an extra $5 a day. Sites were more sandy that I remember from our last visit here. Motorsport activities were held at their track each weekend we were there (we didn't even know they had one). It was very noisy at times although we did enjoy the music from our site. Park's quiet hours were 10 pm to 8 am. However, motorcycle noises could still be heard after 10 p.m. which was annoying. The Avi is a good value when staying a week.

This is a very old depressing park with a lot of ancient RV's. Small sites consisting of stone with a small slab of concrete for a patio. We only stayed a few days which was a big plus. Saddleback is a great bargain for an overnight stop and honors Passport America. All sites are 40' wide by 75' long, level, gravel, with full hookups, 50/30/20 amps. Each site is landscaped in a desert motif with native plants, cactus and has a small tree. We are in a fifth wheel so do not use campground bathrooms or showers. Easy I-10 on and off. Gas and convenience store at campground. Restaurant is no longer in business. We would stay here again when in the area.

Good place for the fisherman, and the price. Very popular boat launch area. Mosquitoes and gnats were very thick...bring spray. No sewer, but free convenient dump station. View was great from every site, as the park is directly on the inter-coastal waterway. No Wi-Fi, or cable, but did not expect so with this park being a national forest recreation area. Very long sites that are concrete and roads were paved. Would have liked to have seen concrete patio pads to match the parking spot, and the picnic tables are permanent concrete types that were rather far from the concrete parking pad. Makes it impossible to keep dirt and mud out of our motorhome, as it rained when we were there and it soggy up our outside mat. Strange to have paved roads and concrete parking pads, then just dirt for a patio area. The really bad thing was the restrooms. No hand soap at the sinks, and the shower was a single stall that had peeling paint and was not cleaned the whole 3 nights we were there that I could see. Old band aid on the shower floor was there when we arrived and still there when we left. Definitely a "fish camp" style. Very hard well water, but usable.

The sites were spacious and many were on the lake most slope front to back or side to side - you'll need blocks to level. We stayed in #14 a pull-thru about 15' from the water. The place was so quiet and peaceful we stayed another night. The bath house was older, but clean & I agree the shower curtains could have been about a foot wider. We would camp here again if in the area, but make reservations during the regular season.

Excellent park with large gravel sites. The front row of sites are wide pull-throughs for travelers. The park is located about 10 miles west of Tucson. It is quite close to Old Tucson Studios and The Saguaro National Monument West and the Tucson Sonora Desert Museum (& zoo). Very nice owners on site. The stated rate was for Passport American members, 1/2 the regular nightly rate.

As another reviewer stated, the office workers and the escort could be friendlier. All seemed to act put out that they have to wait on you. Snippy answers to your questions. It's like they're doing you a favor to let you stay with them. We are full time RVers and will be passing through this way a lot. We have stayed here twice and both times there's no "hello, may I help you?". The campground is OK. Gravel sites that are pretty level. This may be the last time we stay here. The price is higher than most and I don't feel welcome.

Campground is nice and handy to interstate. Rated it an eight for a couple of small reasons. The laundry room only had one washer and one dryer so took all day to do laundry. The path to the shower/laundry building was muddy because it isn't paved. Our site was a little muddy at the entrance and the grass needed to be mowed. Outside of that, lovely park with ponds. Would definitely stay again.

This is not an awful campground, but could be much better. I think maybe the owners have just neglected the sites for a few years. The sites are small and offer a little patch of grass. However in most cases the grass is dirt or mud and fire rings are missing from many sites. The sites were gravel at one time but most of that is gone. My site was pretty much dirt. The overall appearance is best described as kind of shabby. The good things would be the location. Very near the main road in Pigeon Forge. Plus the trolley service actually stops inside the campground. The roads are paved which is nice for bike riding. Just wish the sites were better maintained.

We enjoyed our stay at Caney Creek. The campground is more concrete and blacktop than we usually appreciate. There are trees.. but not many around the individual campsites. There are a couple of sites that offer some shade, but most seem to get a good amount of sun most of the day. The positives would be the cleanliness of the facility. Dozens of lakefront sites and most all are at least lake view. Very nice pavilion and swimming pool area. They rent golf carts, fishing boats and even pontoons. We want to rent a pontoon next time. We would stay again.. but would try and get a site with some shade. Good discounts for staying weekdays.

What a great place this was! :) High speed reliable Wi-Fi, great cable, full hookups with 50 amp. Very large pull through sites with lots of beautiful trees. Friendly staff (thank you Marion!). It is a County park, but was like a State Park with facilities to spoil you in complete creature comfort. Large park, but with the trees all around, that you had the feeling of privacy. Convenient to the interstate but far enough away to not hear the noise. Very reasonable price at the flat 30 a night. Only thing I could find that I would have changed, would be to have hand soap at the sink, though the shower and restrooms were very clean and heated on a cold morning. Also would like to see gravel or shale on the pull through sites, as the dirt parking site made it tough to not keep tracking it in. We will most definitely stay here again, but more than just an overnight next time. Will bring my own hand soap to the bathroom, and will use our large mat to keep the dirt down. Situation solved.

I could not think of one negative thing about this KOA park, and thus had to give it a solid 10. Located a convenient half mile from the interstate, though buffered by thick trees as to not have the noise. Restrooms and showers were extremely clean, and heated (which was great on our cold morning). Nice thoughtful perks, like little cat treats for our girls with a cute note, complementary garbage bag for site pickup, quarters available for the clean laundry facilities that had inexpensive and efficient equipment. Very friendly and helpful staff. Shade trees, good water pressure and quality, great cable and Wi-Fi, long pull throughs, and convenient hookups. A real treat for an overnight stay. Only thing I found unpleasant was the wind had changed in the morning, and there must be a pig farm in the area...phewwy...but was not there the night we got there. Not the park's fault. Must be happy pigs, though...they were ripe.

It is a nice place for the Summer crowd. There is not much to do except a breezy cold walk on the beach in November. The hostess at check in was very friendly and helpful. We picked the Oceanside location, but will stay on the sound side the next time. The sound side has really nice view and access to the water, great sunsets, and much nicer facilities. The bathroom was modern, and heated on this side. On the Oceanside, the only restroom available was very dated. Though clean, it was more like a public beach restroom, and not heated which was missed due to mornings in the 40's. Laundry facilities were not easy to get to, as it was a long walk and no parking area to use for baskets that had to be dragged in, plus expensive at 1.75 a load including the dryers. Water quality was the worst.It is apparently hard water, and very salty. We had to go out to buy gallon jugs for coffee, drinking water, and would not even give that water to our 2 cats. We will return again, but will visit in September or early Spring instead, as the rates are very high during their crowded Summer season.

You won...t find a more peaceful and beautiful setting to camp, especially if you...re looking for a place to relax for lengthy period of time. Like the name implies, the campground is well off any highway, providing plenty of beautiful desert and mountain scenery to look at, walk in, or ATV in. However, there are some problems in this paradise setting that may keep us from returning. You have to travel over 6 miles on dirt roads to get there, and contrary to some other reviews, we found several sections of the road filled with severe washboards, which shook our 41ft motor home like crazy ... no matter what speed we tried. Additionally, the trailing dust cloud we created left the coach completely covered, including much of the inside. Since we tow motorcycles instead of a car, we elected not to endure the road back out of camp to do any exploring and instead; did our exploring on foot. We had a great time exploring the desert terrain while doing a little geocaching. Our site had a beautiful view, but also had quite a down slope; requiring blocks to compensate for. For some strange rationale, the owner will not allow large RVs to use 30-amp service with a pig-tail connection. Instead, we had to take a 50-amp site, which is fine, but cost a little more and was not needed. The staff is very friendly but only available 9-12 Mon thru Sat ... which was quite inconvenient at times. WIFI is available, but make sure you ask about the password when you check in, since the staff is hard to find if you decide to ask later. Never the less, if you have an ATV, jeep or car in tow, then this campground would provide one of the quietest, and most tranquil camping experiences you...ll ever find ... especially for an extended stay.

This is a Long Termers Park only! They have three overnight spaces. We failed to make reservations at our regular park in Shreveport and had to stay here one night. The sites were level but very close and tight to get in and out of. The electric connections were old but appeared to be ok. No cable or wifi available, good cell service. There is a lot of Highway noise. It is next to a Truck Stop. It was a cold night so the truckers ran their engines all night, all you could smell was diesel fumes. The Manager is new, very friendly! The exit road is rough but if you navigate through the pot holes you should be ok.

One of the prettiest venues for a campground in the state. There is something for everyone. For swimming there is the lake with white sand beach area. Camping sites of your choice. It is gig rig friendly. The picnic and game playing area is large and maintained well. They have a one mile walking trail around the park which leads you through various landscapes and views. Those who like to fish have ample places to try your luck. Hospital, restaurants, places of worship, casinos and shopping places are all close to this park. The staff is always so helpful and friendly. A must try if you've never stayed. You will keep coming back.

I read reviews on here first before deciding to stay. I stayed in November and though I saw a few ants, flies were more of a problem. I read about the shooting range and new of the dairies but did not know about the women's correction center with announcements during the day. Park roads were a little narrow and not all sites are convenient for openings on the right for awnings fortunately we had a descent location with a fire pit and table that was a pull through. The bathrooms were dirty though I saw lots of maintenance crew, they are public park style with no doors if that bothers you. I did not see the showers but the cost is $1.50 in quarters. Next time I stay I'm bringing fly strips. I would stay here again though people were friendly and the park for small kids was great.

The staff is very friendly. It is close to shopping and restaurants but yet quiet. The grounds very clean and maintained. The clubhouse was roomy with gym, pool and sitting area. There is a large area for your pet needs. The bath houses and laundry very clean and spacious. We would recommend Bella Terra RV Resort to anyone visiting Foley, Alabama in the future.

The entrance to the campground was pretty badly chewed up as a result of construction work arising from a new association with the Hampton Inn next door. There was plenty of room for our 42' rig and tow. The manager was very friendly and helpful. There might be a bit of an odor problem if you're downwind of the open wagon that serves as a dumpster. Overall a good spot for an overnight stay.

The staff is friendly and the amenities are up to par. The pull throughs are long but at 90 degrees, which makes for a tight turn with a tow. We would surely stay again.

We enjoyed our overnight stay here; check in was quick, and the paved road to our concrete pad which was level and adequate in size. Hookups are in the corner of the road and pad; if you have a tow you'll need all a long water hose and sewer extensions to reach the hookups and be forward enough to for the tow to clear the road. There is no cable and the WiFi didn't work during our stay, but Verizon cell and AirCard worked well. A park-like setting, with nice landscaping and quiet and dark at night. Probably a nice destination in the summer, although the area doesn't seem to offer much. We'd stay here again while passing through.

This park turned out to be a good value - $25 at the kisosk, then on to your choice of large pull-through sites. Ours was level, had good hookups, and was nicely landscaped. Not a destination park, since there's nothing for children, no tables or grills, and the walk to the restrooms (at the truck stop) is not something you want to do in the middle of the night. It is far enough from the trucks for a quiet night. Verizon cell and AirCard worked well, and the park now has free WiFi which was very strong. Don't count on the shuttle to the casino, each time we tried they were "busy". We'd stay here again.

This park is on land formerly owned by a group who called themselves the Koreshan Unity Settlement. The settlement still exists on the property but the land was donated to Florida State Parks about 40 years ago. The campground is small but extremely neat and attractive. Many sites are large and private. Some sites are shaded but others have an excellent combination of sun and shade. The old Koreshan buildings and displays are still in the park and are very interesting. Lover...s Key State Park is about a 20 minute drive but in a beautiful area as well. There is a dog beach near the entrance to LKSP. We looked for manatees but were unsuccessful. The area near KSHS has loads of shopping and beautiful houses. There is not a lot in the park to do beyond a good nature trail and the settlement. There is, however, loads to do nearby. This area is heaven for kayakers.

Campground is located in suburban area of Hampton at the rear of a 100 acre city park. Park office is located nearby and staff are very helpful and friendly. Sites are fairly grass/gravel with large evergreens providing shade. Electric is 30amp. Water & electric are padlocked until you register. Arrive before 4:30 otherwise you will have to camp rough for the night/weekend unless you can catch the caretaker cleaning the showers, or driving through the grounds. HRT (bus) stops 400 yards from campground cnr Clemwood Pwy & Little Back River Rd & covers Hampton, Virginia Beach & Newport pretty well. $3.50 buys all day pass. $5.50 allows use of ferries & express buses. Park locked after dark, however road through Campground left open (turn left at 7-11 on Back River Rd) - which creates traffic - especially in the early morning. Nearby Air Force base (other side of bay) also can be noisy - but only during daylight hours. Great place to stay if you have business/visits to do in Hampton/Virginia Beach area & don't have other transport.

This is a beautiful place in the Sacramento mountains. (It is up for sale as of this writing also.) Full hook-ups with plenty of room. Shady spots or full sun - choose for the appropriate time of year. This park is open year round while others nearby close for the winter. The restrooms are spotless. The family owners are friendly and helpful. The river beside the park can be fished. No cell phone service at this spot in the mountains, but good cable television. There is a covered pavilion, propane available, and plenty to explore nearby.

If you're looking for all of the amenities such as a swimming pool, clubhouse, laundry, showers and playground, this is not the place for you. If, however, you need a quiet, in town, secure place to park while you explore Augusta, golf or tour the area, choose Heritage. The office is only open afternoons, so call ahead and reserve a spot. It will be carefully marked when you arrive. Plenty of room, friendly help, quiet, with a good number of older, long-term residents. The park is neat and clean; gravel and sand roads to sites with patios, some grass and some trees. It is close enough to the interstate to be very handy, yet far enough away to be quiet and secure. We would definitely choose this place again when in the area.

I gave this campground a top rating because it is the best bang for the buck for an overnight spot. 6 sites, very clean, a little narrow when you put your slides out and shake hands with your neighbor. Full hookups, special RV island for fuel, air, and vacuum plus two restaurants-Burger King and Subway with a convenience store in between. I think this Shell Station is on to something and wish there were more of them. There is the Burger King drive thru next to the sites, but we did not experience loud or noisy patrons, maybe due to its being cold out at the time.

Really enjoyed our stay. Had planned to stay 2 nights and stayed 6. Rate was a winter special. Like it better than Ocean Waves. I can understand the negative comments in prime season...Nov is great! Dogs OK on beach with leash and cleanup. Wi-Fi horribly expensive but Verizon tether worked great. Good cable system. Like how they configured the sites with a covered palapa for each site...adds privacy and convenience. We'll be back (but not in the summer).

This was our first time visiting this campground. We were not impressed at all. This campground is old and run down. Upon arrival we checked in, paid, and were told to pick a site. They have pull through sites but most are narrow if you have slides. We were told that new owners had bought the campground in October and changed the name to Paradise lake campground and restaurant. The best thing that could happen here is a total redo of the sites, including the water/electric hookups(it was hard to tell what site the electric box was for and most water was for two sites),sewer(ours was literally in the site and the cap was made like a plug and was hard to find) all the sites could use some grading and fresh gravel as little gravel was visible but plenty of mud to go around after the rains. We asked the lady working some questions about how far the sites went around the lake and her answer was "I don't know. I have only been here a month." She was very friendly though as was the owner we met. If the new owners make improvements this could be a very nice place but until then it would be OK for a stop over but very little else.

This campground was just OK. Not great but not horrible. Roads are not well maintained and had many potholes and very little gravel. Extra charges for children, dogs, cable, TV, etc. But we did receive a generous amount of firewood for the cost. We don't plan to return.

We stayed here for a month in October so the daily rate actually reflects the discount for a month stay, not counting the extra charge for electricity. This was the cleanest park in the Keys we have ever stayed in. The park managers made it an even more enjoyable stay. The pool was immaculate; the marina and all sites beautifully maintained. We would stay here again.
