A rough cut, spontaneous edit of Chaz Sands and Scott Quinn skating the main ramp room at unit 23 skatepark after hours on a cold December evening.

Nothing was planned, choreographed or thought about in much detail rather than giving the guys the radio mic and pointing the camera as and when.

The result was some pretty funny footage of two friends enjoying themselves although if you cant understand the Scottish accents and dialects you may have trouble with this one.

Tri-State Skate Shop, located in Hillburn, NY, is the only rollerblader-owned shop in the New York area.

In honor of Tri-State Skate’s growing success over the past year, several big names in the rollerblading industry came to show support for their first anniversary. That included people such as Mac from Razors, Ramelle Knight, Ryan Many, Angelo Ferrer, Tim Franken, John Stephens, and the iRollNY crew.

As if this turnout wasn’t enough, Razors and Sunshine Distribution sent WRS World Champion Brian Aragon to give recognition to shop owner Greg Kieffer, an acknowledgment for his outstanding dedication and success in this growing industry. On March 7th 2010, all who attended the session welcomed Brian Aragon with open arms. Here’s some pictures from the session.

Last Saturday a huge session took place at Drop-In skatepark in honor of Tri-State Skate’s one year anniversary and Razors pro Brian Aragon visited and took part in the session.

Though Aragon was still suffering from a groin injury from BCSD he was still lacing his usual stunts. Luckily, Joseph Perez of iMagyne That filmed a quick clip of Brian Aragon for this week’s Clip of the Week. Thanks Joe!

As it often happens, previously prepared plans tend to change unexpectedly. Originally, together with Basza and Kuba Urbanczyk, we wanted to release the Winterclash 2010 story as soon as possible, yet whole coverage, edits, comments and discussions around the biggest rollerblading event of the year, made us re-think some factors and led to conclusions which we want to share.

Common event-story usually includes subjective opinions of the author, which more or less become the picture of the event especially in the mind of people who didn’t have a chance to experience it by themselves. Frequently the opinion is based on author’s personal feelings – bad ones as well as the good ones.

Despite anything which can be told about 2010 edition of the Winterclash, one thing is clear – it will be part of rollerblading history. Everyone who attended WC 2010 personally, could see how many issues were taken into consideration by the organizers, and can evaluate the effort of Jojo and WC crew by himself.

The text below will not be a stereotype event-story. It will be a set of questions, which force those who will read it to very end to re-think own opinions about the most important European rollerblading contest. [...]
