YERMITS VS. ROBOTS: BATTLE OF INCOMPREHENSIBILY CUTE THINGS, OR MAYBE THINGS DRESSED AS OTHER THINGS WE DIDN’T REALLY TALK ABOUT WHAT TO CALL IT.

This is week one. The Theme:
SPARKLY VAMPIRES AND SHIRTLESS WEREWOLVES.

Or, as I prefer to refer to the Edward/Jacob phenomenon: Team Necrophilia and Team Beastiality.* Look, I can’t help it. I just prefer that my vampires don’t sparkle. I mean really. ANGEL didn’t have to sparkle. SPIKE sure didn’t sparkle. And Oz was a cute little werewolf with bad fashion sense. Thank goodness he didn’t take his shirt off, I would have died from laughing.

*it’s funny because it is uncomfortably true

Those of you who follow my twitter might have noticed that I asked for some robot ideas this week.

And then I didn’t use any of them. *

Instead, I was checking out the other Robot-a-Day’s blog, and upon seeing his golden mantis, realized that I am quite remiss in my terrifying insect quota.

And dude, these things are totally terrifying. Remember when Xander almost got sexed up and eaten by an inexplicably giant english-speaking one? That could teach science, even though the whole premise of the episode was sorely lacking in any scientific plausibilty at all? I waited all season for that stupid egg at the end of the episode to hatch.

*ha, sorry! Maybe next week.

What is with moustaches and old-timey strong men? Is the moustache like +1 strength?

I don’t have much to say about this one, except LOOK AT THIS TERRIFYLY GIANORMOUS LOBSTER. Now you never need to sleep again.

I think we all know the most important part of the dog walking ensemble is the poop bag. And probably more than one.

Look, I know jigsaws are supposed to be one of those universally liked things, but I am really really terrible at them. Seriously. I put aside all the edge peices, all the bits of sky, and try to do them first, and somehow they just never all fit together.

I also have really terrible jigsaw puzzle luck; there is always a piece missing or duplicates or half of one puzzle and part of another.

Well, either I am really terrible at them or someone is having a really epic practical joke at my expense.*

*i wish I had thought of this, actually. Can you imagine the awesome, evil, and gleeful dedication this would take?

If I’d really been planning ahead, I would have saved this bot for the very end! Then I could be all like “it’s not over until the fat lady… oh. nevermind.”

One would think that if you wore a red shirt, you’d look around the red shirt dorm in the starship, and at all your red shirt friends, and realize that there were a hell of a lot less of you than you started with. And then maybe you’d think “hey, it’s time for a new career!”.

Look at it. Just…. look at it. I’m tempted to carry it around and let it talk for me for awhile. Time to brush up on my (non-existent) ventriloquism skills!
