Fujitsu unveils the 7-inch Stylistic M350/CA2 Android tablet

Fujitsu has just released the Stylistic M350/CA2 Android tablet model for the business users. This tablet is aimed at enterprise customers rather than the general public. It boasts a Wide Super VGA (WSVGA) display with 1024×600 pixel resolution. Interestingly, users can select between a numeric keypad input, QWERTY input, and hand-written input. Perhaps the hand-written input will need the use of a stylus; hopefully more details on that will emerge.

The Stylistic M350/CA2 is based on a Freescale i.MX ARM SoC that includes a single Cortex A8 core running at 1GHz. The SoC is paired together with 512MB high speed DDR3 and supports Flash 11 as well as 1080p video playback either on the tablet’s screen or on an external display that can be connected via the provided mini-HDMI connector. All of these are powered by a 20Wh battery which Fujitsu says it can deliver “excellent battery life,”. This tablet weighs around 420gm (14.81 ounce). As far as pricing goes, the folks in Japan are looking at a ¥34,800 price tag. That equals about $455.

Samsung’s current Galaxy S II has become one of the company’s best selling smartphones worldwide, making a future iteration almost a guarantee. It has been rumored that the Samsung Galaxy S III will be unveiled at MWC 2012 next month. And, Eldar Murtazin, Russian tech blogger, claims that a yet to be announced Samsung Galaxy S III will be arriving in April. He specs via Twitter:

“HD resolution, 12 mpx camera, sw tweaks, android 4 – i like my new phone. Eager to see official announcement in Barcelona,” – @eldarmurtazin

The new smartphone is said to sport a HD touchscreen display, a 1.5GHz or 1.6GHz quad-core or dual-core processor, a 12-megapixel camera, better battery life and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich under the hood with certain new software tweaks on top – which probably means a custom TouchWiz user interface for ICS. The blogger didn’t say how or where he got his hands on the device, and he doesn’t reveal any sources. Still, the Galaxy S III’s reported spec sheet doesn’t sound all that unbelievable,

A free Worms-like, turn based strategy game. Each player controls a team of several hedgehogs. During the course of the game, players take turns with one of their hedgehogs. They then use whatever tools and weapons are available to attack and kill the opponents´ hedgehogs, thereby winning the game.

Hedgehogs may move around the terrain in a variety of ways, normally by walking and jumping but also by using particular tools such as the “Rope” or “Parachute”, to move to otherwise inaccessible areas. Each turn is time-limited to ensure that players do not hold up the game with excessive thinking or moving.

A large variety of tools and weapons are available for players during the game: Grenade, Cluster Bomb, Bazooka, UFO, Shotgun, Desert Eagle, Fire Punch, Baseball Bat, Dynamite, Mine, Rope, Pneumatic pick, Parachute. Most weapons, when used, cause explosions that deform the terrain, removing circular chunks.

SmartSniff allows you to capture TCP/IP packets that pass through your network adapter, and view the captured data as a sequence of conversations between clients and servers. You can view the TCP/IP conversations in Ascii mode (for text-based protocols, like HTTP, SMTP, POP3 and FTP.) or as hex dump. (for non-text base protocols, like DNS)

System Requirements:
SmartSniff can capture TCP/IP packets on any 32-bit Windows operating system (Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista/7) as long as WinPcap capture driver is installed and works properly with your network adapter.

Under Windows 2000/XP (or greater), SmartSniff also allows you to capture TCP/IP packets without installing any capture driver, by using ‘Raw Sockets’ method. However, this capture method has some limitations and problems:
*Outgoing UDP and ICMP packets are not captured.
*On Windows XP SP1 outgoing packets are not captured at all – Thanks to Microsoft’s bug that appeared in SP1 update… This bug was fixed on SP2 update, but under Vista, Microsoft returned back the outgoing packets bug of XP/SP1.
*On Windows Vista with SP1, only UDP packets are captured. TCP packets are not captured at all.
*On Windows 7, it seems that ‘Raw Sockets’ method works properly again, at least for now..

Using just a click of the mouse you can quickly Include or Exclude Drives, Folders and Files and save them as a backup job. When you subsequently execute BFS only files that have changed since the last backup are copied.

Also if you delete any folders or files in the source these items are also deleted in the backup destination set. This means that if you ever had to restore a folder, the contents would not have any old deleted files in them. Backup selections can be saved in Backup Jobs so that you do not need to re-select.

Included and Excluded items are shown using coloured icons in the directory listings and can be changed by right clicking on a folder or file. The backup produces a report that details each file or folder that has been copied or deleted. You can backup to a local folder, external drive, USB stick, network share or mapped drive.
