LostChatter (presented by RandomChatter)

Join Erik, Joe, and Nathan each week as they dig deep into the mysteries of the island. Unlike "recap shows," we take the new reveals presented each week and discuss how they fit into what we've already seen of the island and its inhabitants, and we take a closer look at the new questions introduced. During the off-seasons, we look at earlier events and see how they've changed in light of the newest information. More than a review show and better than a recap show, LostChatter isthe ultimate in Lost podcasts!

Hosted by Erik (RandomChatter), Joe (Trailer Trash Talk) and Nathan (Flickchart.com).
This week on LOSTChatter:

There were a lot of great things from the LOST panel at Comic Con this year! We get some major hints about what the premise of season six will be, we learn about who may or may not be returning, and Jorge Garcia asks the big question—if the first five seasons didn't count, wouldn't that be a big cheat? But before we get to that, we address an important piece of listener feedback.

This week on LOSTChatter:

We've been hearing all sorts of rumors about actors returning to reprise the roles of dead characters. Most have been shot down, but now rumblings are starting to resurface. Will this happen? Is it a good thing if it does?

Then we discuss the "recrash" theory Erik fears may happen in season six. Would this invalidate the series events up until now? Would the producers really do this?

Several characters on the show have talked about "making your own fate" and "choosing your destiny." Is Hurley able to take it so far as to actually affect the world around him through his subconscious thoughts? For all the talk about fate, we wonder if Hurley may be one of the most pivotal characters in the series.

OOPS! We had some technical issues in our finale show, so we've remixed it and posted it again for your convenience.

There are tons of things to discuss as a result of the season five finale — far too much to cover in one show. So in this episode, we give our thoughts and observations on the finale, and we give you a preview of what we'll be discussing over the next few weeks (yes, we'll be continuing LOSTChatter throughout the entire off-season!).

Nathan comes up with an utterly ridiculous idea on how the finale might end, and by the end of this episode, he's got Erik and Joe fully convinced.
This week on LostChatter:

We finally get our Daniel flashback, and I'm not sure whether it's helpful or just more confusing. It's interesting to see the circle complete between him and his mother, but is he really correct about the "variable?" And can the past actually be changed?

Join Erik, Joe, and Nathan as they discuss issues of destiny versus free will, the fate of the Oceanic Six, the upcoming "incident," and more!

LC #16: That's It?

Man, what happened with "The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham"? It had an awesome opening, and it had an awesome ending, but everything in between was bland.

We're not saying the show has jumped the shark or anything. We still love Lost. But this episode had so much potential, and instead it fell flat. Why didn't they mix the Jeremy Bentham story with the Oceanic 6 stories over the past few episodes?

Still, this episode had some good points, and it's exciting to see a glimpse of the Linus/Widmore war that's on the horizon. Join us as we look at Locke and his (short) journey from Widmore to Ben and beyond.
With Locke and Sawyer as the only season-one characters appearing, we get a good look at some of the "players" this time around. What's Widmore's connection to the island? Is Faraday really as sweet and charming as we thought he is? And, most importantly, does Joe like this season yet?

LC_012: Someone DIDN'T Like the Premiere...?

Finally! LOST has returned! Surprisingly, one of the three LostChatter hosts did not care that much for the double-header episodes. Which one of us didn't like them? And why not?
We've pretty much gotten to the point where none of the hosts' schedules are compatible with each other's due to various holiday commitments, so we're signing off until the end of the year. But I've recorded a very short holiday message I'd like everyone to listen to. I'm putting it in all four feeds to make sure everyone gets it, but it's the same file, so you only need to listen to it once.
Please check out our brief holiday episode. Thanks for listening, and stay tuned for great things ahead in 2009. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

LC_006: Welcome!

LC_006: Welcome!

If you're new to LostChatter, welcome! If you're an existing listener, welcome back! Our "experiment" with the first five LostChatter episodes earlier this year went even better than we'd hoped, and we're excited to bring the show back!

Even though ABC hasn't brought Lost back to television yet, we're hitting the microphones early and bringing the podcast back now. There's plenty to cover already, so why wait?

Each week we'll be taking a look at different puzzles and mysteries of the island, as well as a short mini-feature on a character or group. Unlike the many "recap/review" shows, our goal is to take an in-depth look at the various mysteries, events, and characters of the show and try to put the puzzle pieces together as best we can.

We're honored to have Joe from Trailer Trash Talk (another Dead Workers Party podcast) join us as a permanent host. He and I will occasionally be joined by other RC hosts such as Ren and Jeff, and we'll also have the occasional guest host on the show.

So join us in our relaunch of LostChatter, and let us know what you'd like to see on the show in the future!
