Online Ordering Now Live!!!

Woohoo! We have finally got there! This death star is now fully operational!

As you can tell we are very excited to announce that our website is now fully functioning - you can register an account with us, place orders, pay securely and track them online all from the comfort of home! Of course we would love to see you in person but if you can't get down to the shop or live too far away then please have a look around the site at the ever increasing amount of awesome gear we have in stock and we will be very happy to receive your order!

Our First Anniversary

How time flies went you're having fun.... It's hard for us to believe it but it's been a year since we moved to our current Osmaston Road shop.

The shop's changed loads over the last 12 months as we've built up the stock. We'd like to say a big thank-you to all of our customers both new and old. Your comments have been really supportive and very much appreciated. I think most people that have been visiting the shop for many years would agree that things are now better than they've ever been and hopefully they'll get even better over the next few years.

We we're planning on having a first year party, but we decided to wait until next year when we'll be celebrating our 10th anniversary. Everyone's invited so watch this space!!

Clapton Custom Shop Strat, Line 6 Spider IVs!

We have just taken delivery of an awesome Fender Eric Clapton Custom Shop Strat! It is in EC International Grey, a beautiful gunmetal grey that up till now has only been available to Clapton himself! Only being made this year, very limited, one of only a few in the UK. It comes with a very special Custom Shop case, Custom Shop Whirlwind cable, certificate and a load more goodies. It will be on the site this week but if you need any info before then just get in touch or pop in to the shop. The price is £1999.

Line 6 have just launched their new Spider IV range of amps. Building on the success of the awesome Spider IIIs, they are great range of amps from the entry level Spider IV 15 up to the monster Spider 150! We have them all in stock now, check them out here.

New Site Launched!

Well, it's been a long time without updates to the site but that is for a very good reason! If you are reading this you have found your way onto our brand new website - and very proud of it we are too!

It has been a very long and stressful 6 months to get to this point, but we think it has been worth it - hope you do too! We have tried to make the site as comprehensive and easy to use as possible, and we think it compares favourably to any in our industry. But enough about what we think - if you have any comments or suggestions about the site, please feel free to tell us!

We are adding more products to the site on a daily basis, and full online ordering and order tracking is about a month away. However, all stock and pricing information is correct, so if there is anything you want to order please get in touch and we will be happy to help.

Fender Custom Shop Dave Gilmour Relic Strat

After months of waiting we finally have the Dave Gilmour Relic Strat in stock! Painstakingly recreated from Gilmour's famous black Strat by the Fender Custom Shop, this beauty needs to be seen in the flesh to be appreciated. If you didn't know better you would be convinced that this was some amazing old guitar that had seen years of rock and roll adventure and was all the better for it!

Plays beautifully, sounds incredible, comes with a beautiful custom case and all sorts of goodies. In stock now at £2999.

Awesome New Gear In Stock

Not content with launching our amazing new website, we have added some great new lines at our shop here in Derby.

We have just taken delivery of our first batch of Boss pedals, and very cool they are too. We also now stock Roland Cube amps, awesomely portable, ideal for lugging to the next studio session!

We are proud to say we are now one of the select UK stockists of Parker guitars, and we have some pretty amazing instruments in stock. Unbelieveable finishes on some of these beauties.

Over the last month or two we have also started stocking Eden bass amps, St Blues guitars and loads of other great things too numerous to mention.

Christmas 2008 Opening Hours

In the run up to Christmas we are changing our opening hours to give you extra opportunities to visit our new store.

From the 28th of November until Christmas we will be opening late nights on a Thursday until 8pm and Sundays from 11am – 4pm.

We will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day, other than that we will be opening as usual (10am – 6pm in the week and 10am – 5:30pm on a Saturday).

Moving and Expanding

Rattle and Drum has been a busy place for the last few months. We’ve all been working hard, looking to expand the business and improve the range of products we offer.

Yesterday, we moved into new premises and opened our new shop under the name of Rattle and Drum Music. We are now an all-round musical instrument store selling guitars, basses, amps and pa, as well as expanding our range of drums and percussion.

We’re working on a new website and will be adding all our new products for sale over the internet in the coming months, but if you want to pay us a visit we are now located at 77-79 Osmaston Road, Derby, DE1 2JH.

Expect to see more news soon with details on the manufacturers we will be offering, but just to whet your appetite we will be a full Fender Custom Shop dealer, as well as Ibanez, ESP, Warwick, Marshall, Blackstar and many, many more.

Music lessons will continue at our old store for the foreseeable future and access is now through the back door rather than through the shop like before. Anyone wanting to start drum lessons should give us a call or email us through the ‘Contact Us’ page.
