Sales Vacancies Update

Many thanks to all who applied for our upcoming vacancies, the deadline has now passed and we can accept no more applicants at this time. We received well over 300 applications which was more than we expected to say the least!

Unfortunately due to the sheer volume we will not be able to personally respond to every applicant but we'd like to thank everyone who applied, it's been very difficult narrowing it down!

Sales Assistant Vacancies For 2012

We are looking for two full-time Sales Assistants to join the Rattle And Drum Music team in the New Year. One of the positions will be primarily based on the Drum floor, one on the Guitar floor. Knowledge relating to the relevant department is important but not essential. Some cross-over knowledge would be looked on very favourably.

Retail/sales experience would be advantageous but again not essential; your personal skills are the most important thing, we can teach you the rest!

Your role will mainly be shop-floor based, dealing with customers, giving advice and completing sales. You will also assist in the day to day management of the shop including display work, pricing, stocking and cleaning etc.

Applications must reach us no later than 14 December. Interviews will take place in the second half of December with employment commencing in early January.

It's nearly December and once again we will be be extending our opening hours in the run up to Christmas! From now on we are open as follows:

We are open every day from now up to and including Saturday 7th January, excluding Sunday 25th December, Monday 26th December and Sunday 1st January. We will open reduced hours on the following days.

Sabian Prize Winner

Huge Congratulations to Gerry Lobb who recently won £1500 worth of Sabian Artisan Cymbals as a prize at the Sabian Drum Clinic with Ralph Salmins and Karl Brazil.

VIP Tickets For The Nicko Clinic

A handful of VIP tickets are now available for the Nicko clinic on 13th November. The lucky few will get to meet the man himself, get stuff signed and have a photo opportunity!

It will take place at the Darwin Suite starting at 3:30pm on the day of the clinic. The tickets cost an additional £8 to those already attending the clinic or £20 in total for those who don't have their evening tickets yet. They are strictly limited and will go fast! They will initially only be available in-store to prioritise our local customers. If there are tickets left after this initial period they will be available for mail order from Monday 5th September. An Evening With Nicko McBrain

Rattle And Drum Music and Premier Percussion are proud to present an evening of drums, drumming and entertainment with Iron Maiden's legendary drummer, the one, the only, Nicko McBrain!

Guaranteed to be a fantastic evening, get your tickets early; this one's going to be popular! The date for your diary is Sunday 13 November at the Assembly Rooms Darwin Suite in Derby. Tickets are available for £12 exclusively from the shop for a limited time, they will then go on general release through the Assembly Rooms box office, so if you want to guarantee a ticket get to the shop asap!

Sabian Artist Clinic

Karl Brazil and Ralph Salmins are two of the most in-demand drummers in the UK. Karl plays with the largest touring acts in the world while Ralph may just be the busiest studio, session and film score player going!

Rattle And Drum is proud to present the Sabian Artist Clinic, where you will be able to learn more about these two fantastic drummers and the awesome gear they use.
