"I will not leave Ramoji Rao. No second thought at all. I was elected with the votes of poor people. I cannot sit quiet. I’m ready to lose my life as well in this fight. Ramoji Rao is a fraud. He feels that he is monopoly.

He feels that he is living in 1400 acre land in a mansion and none can pluck his hair. He is also feeling that no police can arrest him on any charge and his own security guards will not allow any one. He feels ‘after-all’ MPs can do nothing to him. He felt that he can pierce needles in my eyes in last elections. But he couldn’t.

God stayed on the side of Dharma. That is proved again. Adharma will go to dogs. I kept quiet for all these days after elections, as I was in the grief of YSR’s death. I will expose every inch of Ramoji’s frauds in bigger way than before", said Vundavalli Arun Kumar.

He also said, "There are many from other parties those are supporting me personally although they speak against me in media. I know many of them. The people those stand beside me in this mission will embrace dharma. And those who will fight will embrace adharma".

"Ramoji himself said openly to media that is the owner of Rs 15,000 Cr and hasn’t paid a tax of Re.1 from many years. He admitted his mistake openly, paid some penalty and why they find mistake in my allegation", added Vundavalli.

Vundavalli also said that Ramoji is a criminal on par with Dawood Ibrahim, the notorious criminal who took place in top-10 influential persons in the world. No government is being able to touch him from years. Similarly, Ramoji is very powerful here and neither state nor central government can touch him as long as a group of politicians support him just because he has News Paper and Rs 15000 Cr.

Ramoji backing a Congress CM for the first time

For the first time in his life, the Eenadu Group chairman, Ch Ramoji Rao, is carrying a Congress Chief Minister over his shoulders. Keeping aside his political convictions, which he had even admitted in the court, Ramoji is backing Chief Minister K Rosaiah from the critics.

It is clearly and easily understood that Ramoji Rao, through his columns in Eenadu is giving direction to the Chief Minister Rosaiah to act on various issues. The State government’s decision to request the CBI to probe into the Obulapuram mining irregularities was one such a decision that came from the Eenadu group.

Even when Jagan met Rosaiah in the MPs meeting with the Chief Minister, the report appeared in Eenadu gives greater image to Rosaiah. The daily stood as a strong cover for Rosaiah from Jagan and that is visible in the lettering of the report.

Eenadu carried similar supportive reports for late Dr N T Rama Rao and for some time, N Chandrababu Naidu, but never there was such a positive reporting for a Congress chief minister.

In the game for survival, morals and convictions take back seat and it is proved in the case of Ramoji Rao.

Karat discusses burning issues with Naidu

Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary Prakash Karat today had a detailed discussion with Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu on various ’burning issues’ to be raised during the Winter Session of the Parliament beginning tomorrow.

After their meeting at the TDP Supremo’s residence, Mr Naidu told reporters that they decided to raise the issue of alleged illegal mining in Anantapur district by the Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC), promoted by Karnataka Tourism Minister G Janardhan Reddy.

Both the leaders discussed to work in unison in Parliament and raise major issues concerning the people, including price rise.

Mr Naidu said the two parties had decided to press for withdrawal of the recently promulgated ordinance which required the State Government to bear the expenses if it fixed sugarcane prices lower than advised by the Centre.

Poor response for KCR’s fast-unto-death!

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao’s announcement that he would commence his fast unto death from November 29 did not cause any ripples in the political circles or among the general public. Every common man of Telangana and other parts of the State are well aware that he will not be sitting for fasting. Even he he starts, he will not be able to survive for much longer tenue.

The TRS president expected that there would be an uproar among the people and he would get repeated requests from Telangana writers, intellectuals and employees asking him to withdraw the fast. But there was only a bleak response from and few appeals from the Telangana Congress leaders,who were called "Vruddha Simhalu" who cannot bite or even move, nobody took him seriously.

MP from Guntur Rayapati Sambasiva Rao said the settlers were not afraid of KCR’s threats and fasts. They are very strong in Hyderabad and do not want the state to be split at all, he said. Apparently realising that there was hardly any impact of his fast announcement, KCR is learnt to have decided to tour different parts of Telangana to stir up the emotions of the people on the Telangana issue. But it is unlikely that there would be much response to him.

War of words between YS Jagan and Rosaiah

Verbal war between the chief minister K Rosaiah and Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy started Today in a meeting conducted by state government at Jubilee Hall. YS Jagan demanded the implementation of schemes promised by lateYSR like, nine-hours power supply to the farmers and increasing the rice-quota. YS Jagan advised Rosaiah that the nine-hours power supply to farmers can be implemented if the sale of power in open market was stopped. Rosaiah got furious over YS Jagan’s remarks. Rosaiah clarified that power sale in open market was not issued by him and the decision was taken in the year 2008.

KCR set to begin indefinite hunger strike

The Telangana Rastra Samithi chief, K Chandrasekhar Rao, is getting ready for his ‘historical’ indefinite hunger strike to achieve statehood for Telangana. His hunger strike would be on the lines of Potti Sriramulu, whose life sacrifice created Andhra State, from the composite Madras State.

Like Potti Sriramulu, the TRS chief too is getting ready to sacrifice his life and secure the Statehood for the region. He would be remembered forever by the people of Telangana region if his sacrifice brings statehood for the region.

The TRS chief has finally selected a 50-acre plot at Siddhipet for his hunger strike. A massive dais will be constructed there with all facilities. The venue would be live with people visiting the place in large numbers every day. The TRS ranks are getting ready with other arrangements like drinking water, food and first aid facilities for the visitors.

A handful of engineers too are being deployed to the venue for its design to be attractive and at the same time to inspire people for the cause.

According to the available information, KCR would launch his agitation either on November 29 or 30. Before that, he would tour entire region touching important towns to seek support from the people for the cause.

He had already alerted the Governor, Chief Minister, Prime Minister, President and the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, about his fast. It is now to be seen how far he would succeed in mobilizing peoples’ support for his hunger strike.

Get your act right: CM to Congmen

With barely a week left for GHMC poll D-Day, the Congress on Monday decided to give a collective push to the campaign and impress upon the electorate that it too is in the fray.

With the absence of a star campaigner reflecting strongly in its campaign so far, CM K Rosaiah marshalled together all leaders and ministers and practically made each one of them in-charge of a few divisions. He also asked them to bury their differences and concentrate on the poll campaigning.

Congress appeared to have woken up to the reality of its campaigning suddenly on Monday. AICC secretaries Praveen Davar, B S Krishnamurthy, deputed by the high command for the polls, convened a breakfast meet of all ministers at a hotel on Raj Bhavan road and took stock of the situation.

The matter was then discussed informally after the cabinet meet in the afternoon. Sources said Rosaiah virtually accepted the contention that the Congress campaign was going nowhere due to lack of coordination. Top party leaders including D Nagender, PCC president D Srinivas, Rajya Sabha MP K V P Ramachandra Rao, and all the ministers later met at the CM’s Ameerpet residence to discuss the situation.

According to sources, the ministers and leaders were told to aggressively campaign in the wards allotted to them. "They were told to undertake padayatras during the day and hold public meetings in the evening for the next few days," sources said.

Secretaries and joint secretaries of the state Congress were told to campaign in the wards and individual summons were sent to them to report to work immediately, sources said. Apparently, the message given by the AICC representatives was that Congress chief Sonia Gandhi was monitoring the efforts of all the leaders closely.

"This has immediately galvanised the CM, PCC chief and KVP into closing the ranks and putting a united effort as a poor showing will reflect on all of them," the source added.

Left parties, TDP resort to agitation in Andhra Pradesh districts

Demanding CBI investigation into alleged illegal iron ore mining owned by Karnataka Tourism Minister Gali Janardhan Reddy at Obulapuram in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, Telugu Desam Party(TDP), CPI and CPI(M) today resorted to agitation in four districts of Rayalaseema today.

Police said at Chittoor, as many as 150 activists belonging to TDP and Left parties had staged dharna in front of the District Collectorate office before submitting a memorandum to the District Collector, Seshadri. They also staged dharna at Tirupati.

The leaders demanded the Government to conduct a CBI enquiry into the mining and initiate measures to stop mining at Obulapuram, besides attaching mining at the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant(VSP).

At Kadapa district, as many as 150 party workers of the TDP and Left parties staged road-roko and dharna at Bedval and Mydukur.

In Ananatapur district, tension prevailed for sometime when the party workers got agitated over obstruction by the police at Tadiparthi village while they were staging road-roko. They also staged protests at Nellore and detained some iron ore loaded lorries.

As a precautionary measure, security had been tightened at all Collectorate and Revenue Divisional offices in Rayalaseema districts.

Caste is the powerful weapon in politics

It is an open secret that no political party in India fields its candidates in elections without considering the caste equations. The same trend is seen across India irrespective of state and political party. There were times when many intellectuals thought that caste is an evil born out of ignorance and illiteracy. But the funniest thing which we are seeing in our country at the present moment is even after pursuing top class education and working in the world’s best corporate companies, caste is one thing where Indians are still narrow-minded.

Now political parties are not just using caste for their poll equations, but openly using it as an ultimate weapon to counter allegations, corruption charges, political alliances and the list is never ending. The recent statement by Gali Janardhan Reddy exposed the political and power rivalry between two castes in Andhra Pradesh. Earlier Konda Surekha’s statement after submitting her resignation had the same caste angle.

Many Congress leaders criticised DS for the proposed PRP-Congress alliance . They brought in the caste factor stating that both DS and Chiranjeevi belong to the same community, that is the reason for D Srinivas’s interest in the alliance. After TDP lost in the 2009 general elections, they blamed the Lok Satta for their loss which also has an caste angle. When TDP, CPM, CPI fought against the alleged corruption and SEZ’s of the government many opposition leaders stated that the three parties belong to the same community and they are conspiring together against the government.

Even media was not spared from getting tagged with caste card by many political leaders.

Now we are at the political crossroads where caste has been developed in to a dangerous weapon from a mere tool by the political parties. If the educated youth of India who instead of leading many other people, falls into the caste trap, the very progress and democracy of our country will be at stake.

YS Jagan in dilemma over GHMC poll campaign

With the election campaigning picking up momentum and the last day for the campaign fast approaching, the Congress candidates and the leaders are hoping that jagan would campaign to garner the sympathy votes for the party.

As things stand Jagan seems to be evincing no interest in campaigning for the party at the moment. Added to it the sources close to Jagan revealed that there was no invitation to Jagan from the party leadership. According to the sources close to Jagan camp, though the election campaign started a couple of day ago with PCC chief D Srinivas and Chief Minister,Mr K Rosaiah taking part in the campaign but there is no intimation to Jagan from the party leadership on electioneering. Still stunning is the fact that the two prominent leaders in Jagan’s camp Mr Danam Nagender and Ms Sabita Indra Reddy have already started the campaign without Jagan.The Jagan camp feels that without any specific invitation if Jagan takes part in the campaign then it is not worth going for electioneering.

So his supporters are advising him to take up the campaign only after receiving any request from the leadership.On the other hand some senior Congress leaders who opposed Jagan right from the beginning are deliberately playing him down. Keeping aside all these speculations it is likely that Jagan will make a statement on GHMC electioneering on Sunday (Nov 15).The deadline for election campaign is November 21.

Naidu: I told Yeddyurappa to quit

The Telugu Desam president, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Sunday said the Karnataka Chief Minister, Mr B.S. Yeddyurappa, was in touch with him during the recent political crisis.

The TD chief revealed that Mr Yeddyurappa spoke to him at length about the crisis and how he was being troubled by a politician hailing from Andhra Pradesh. Mr Naidu was speaking during his meeting with the Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, along with leaders from other Opposition parties on the Obulapuram Mining Corporation controversy.

The TD president, however, did not reveal whether the purpose of Karnataka Chief Minister’s call was to seek assistance in tackling the crisis or just to find solace.

Significantly, the TD’s revival of the campaign against OMC coincided with the Karnataka crisis.

Mr Naidu told the Chief Minister that he had suggested to Mr Yeddyurappa it was better to quit the post rather than succumbing to pressure. "I told him that crying openly in public will bring disrepute to the post," Mr Naidu said.

The TD president also complained to the Chief Minister that a person from the AO could grow to a level wherein he made a Chief Minister of the state cry. The TD MLA, Mr A. Revanth Reddy, prompted Mr Naidu that Mr Yeddyurappa cried twice.

The senior TD leader, Mr Nagam Janardhan Reddy, explained the technical issues involved in the OMC row. He went on to give details since 1960 and with the help of maps he tried to establish encroachments. However, Mr Janardhan Reddy was not seen at the media point with Mr Naidu, Mr B.V. Raghavulu and Mr K. Narayana.

Sunil denies reports of quitting PRP

Leading industrialist Chalamalasetti Sunil today brushed aside the reports about him quitting Prajarajyam Party (PRP) and joining Telugu Desam.

He informed the mediapersons present here that the reports were baseless, politically motivated and circulated by interested parties.

He further said he was very much dedicated to the PRP and personally attached to party leader Chiranjivi.

He said, ’’In fact recently, during the internal meetings, I requested Mr Chiranjivi to concentrate on party revitalizing by constituting various committees at the grassroot level.’’ Hence the question of my leaving the party did not arise and there is not even an iota of truth in the reports, he asserted.

No place for Devender in Polit Bureau

T.D.P president N. Chandrababu Naidu announced a jumbo 179-member State committee on Monday but significantly T. Devender Goud, Tammineni Sitaram and E. Peddi Reddy who returned to party fold after a flip flop, did not find place.
Mr. Naidu told media persons that these leaders and Telugu film star and his brother in-law Balakrishna who too was expected to be accommodated, have opted out voluntarily. He said Mr. Balakrishna and Jr.NTR was keen on pursuing their film career, Mr. Goud told him that he would wait till next Mahanadu, but the real news is Goud cried a lot.
Notwithstanding the elaborate exercise that went into constitution of the State committee well past Sunday midnight there were protests. Six time MLA from Parigi in Ranga Reddy district, K. Harishwar Reddy was made a vice-president. But he was reportedly unhappy.
Another notable omission was that of former MLA of Secunderabad Talasani Srinivas Yadav. A noteworthy inclusion was that of C. M. Ramesh as vice-president. He was part of Mr. Naidu’s inner circle and selection panel that short-listed candidates in the general elections.
K. Sita Dayakar Reddy, MLA from Devarakadra in Mahbubnagar district, has taken the place of actor Roja, as the new president of Telugu Mahila. Mr. Naidu said the committee was a blend of old and new with 55 per cent representation to weaker sections.
There was adequate representation to women and youth.
There were seven new faces in the all- important Polit Bureau, including two women, Uma Madhava Reddy and Uppuleti Kalpana, Siasat Editor, Zahid Ali Khan, Ramesh Rathod MP, Parliamentary party leader, Nama Nageswara Rao, T. Bhimsen, and MLC, Sidda Raghava Rao. Pratibha Bharathi, Lal Jan Basha and Alladi Raj Kumar who were in Polit Bureau have now been made vice-presidents.
Ravula Chandrasekhara Reddy would be coordinator for subjects committee, D. Srisailam, president of SC Cell while L.V.S.R.K. Prasad would continue to be chairman of media committee.

Rosaiah writes to Sonia, regrets Khammam incident

Andhra Pradesh chief minister K Rosaiah has written a letter to AICC chief Sonia Gandhi expressing sincere regrets over the unfortunate and uncalled for incidents wherein supporters of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy tore down a banner containing her picture in Khammam and torched two APSRTC buses in Rajahmundry.
"I may be permitted to bring to your notice with deep pain and grief an incident wherein some Congress workers resorted to undisciplined and unruly behaviour of tearing down a flex banner containing pictures of various leaders, including yourself in Khammam district Congress office. In another incident in Rajahmundry, two RTC buses were burnt by Congress workers. This is an emotional act of some disgruntled elements as a mark of protest," Rosaiah said in the letter sent on Monday.
The Chief Minister said the Pradesh Congress Committee president has already issued instructions for suspension of those responsible for the Khammam incident while a criminal case has also been registered. While four persons responsible for tearing down the banner were suspended from the party, three of them were already arrested by the police.
Jaganmohan Reddy has also condemned the incidents and sought severe action against the guilty. Strict instructions have been issued for continuation of the party membership enrolment drive in the state, Rosaiah said.

The violent incidents allegedly involving Jagan’s supporters has provided a rallying point to the State Congress leaders of other groups who have now for the first time come out openly in support of Rosaiah.
V Hanumantha Rao after meeting Rosaiah said that he will remain Chief Minister till 2014 when the next election was due. When asked whether it will not be going against the people’s wishes, Hanumantha Rao quipped, "We know what the people wish and whose side they are. The people’s wish cannot be bigger than Sonia Gandhi’s decision. Whoever is blessed by Sonia will be the leader," he said,Meanwhile the Congress workers belonging to various other camps also held protest demonstrations all over the State against the incident of burning of Sonia posters. In Hyderabad, a demonstration was held in the State party headquarters Gandhi Bhavan. State minority cell president Sirajuddin who led the demonstration said the people who insulted Sonia were trying to challenge the authority of the party high command.
Jagan camp on the other hand was not in a mood to take it lying down. Jogi Ramesh, MLA and Jagan follower questioned the authority of Hanumantha Rao in declaring that Rosaiah will remain the Chief Minister till 2014. He said the senior leaders should stop making such provocative statements.

4 Jagan supporters suspended for tearing Sonia poster

The tearing of Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s flex banner at the Khammam District Congress Committee office allegedly by followers of Jaganmohan Reddy has snowballed into a major controversy with senior leaders sharpening their knives against the Jagan camp saying that no one is above the party and that even late CM Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had won polls using the name of Sonia. With V Hanumantha Rao, K Kesava Rao and G Venkataswamy demanding that indiscipline should not be tolerated, CM K Rosaiah too closed the ranks by saying that those responsible for the act would be brought to book. He asked the PCC chief to debar the Congress workers involved in the incident from the party. Acting swiftly, PCC chief D Srinivas suspended four party activists on Sunday evening. In the night, Jagan camping in Bangalore expressed deep anguish over the developments. He said any violence is unacceptable and demanded stringent punishment for the attackers. His statement came after followers of Jagan Sena burnt two RTC buses in Rajahmundry. It was Hanumantha Rao who started the ‘Sonia bhajan’ in New Delhi on Sunday morning by questioning the PCC inaction against the miscreants who tore Sonia’s poster on Friday. "No one is above the party. Can anyone win an election without the blessings of Sonia Gandhi?" he sought to know. Hanumantha Rao said he would undertake a 48-hour ‘mouna vrath’ (silent protest) as a "true disciple" of Sonia if no action was initiated against the accused. Rajya Sabha member Keshava Rao and former MP Venkataswamy said it was time for the party to take a decisive action against dissidents for resorting to acts of violence in the name of Jagan Yuva Sena. At any cost few District Party Chiefs are going ahead with the membership drive. Rival groups demands the suspension of the drive as the leadership issue has to be settlled in favour of YS Jagan.

In Rajahmundry, they demanded that all Congress MPs and MLAs resign from their posts in protest against the high command’s dilly dallying over making Jagan the CM. This led to a showdown with Amalapuram MP Harsh Kumar when, speaking to the media, he said that all the state ministers and MLAs who had threatened to quit if Jagan was not made the CM should lead from the front by resigning.

By Friday evening, Youth Congress leaders in many districts said the membership drive would not be allowed until the leadership issue was settled. But some others vowed to go ahead with it. “The drive will not be stopped as it is being done on the directive of the AICC,” said Mahbubnagar DCC chief S Prakash, a statement that was seconded by Warangal district party chief D Venkataramana Reddy.

Srikakulam district chief K Veerabhadraswamy could not make up his mind. “We have yet to decide whether to carry on with the drive or postpone it,” he said. But Friday made it clear that the state Congress is being divided into YSR followers on the one side and high command loyalists on the other.

Ministers agree to back CM

Ministers of the state cabinet on Thursday offered their total support to the Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah.Mr Rosaiah, who addressed his first full fledged cabinet meeting after the death of Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, sought the cooperation of all the ministers to provide a strong and vibrant administration and to attend to public issues on priority.“I need the cooperation of all of you as long as I am in the seat,” he said. “We are passing through difficult times. Unless everyone extends cooperation, it will be difficult for me to carry on with the work.”
A minister who attended the meeting said Mr Rosaiah had pointed out that he had become Chief Minister only on the directions of the high command and pointed out that the ministers should cooperate with him to fight the financial crunch, swine flu, and price rise. “I have no coterie,” he reminded them.
All the ministers promised to work in tandem with him. Earlier, many of them had kept away from the review meetings called by the Chief Minister, leaving him in a piquant situation. Following intervention by the high command, the ministers have fallen in line.
“We have made it clear to the Chief Minister that we have no ill will towards him,” a minister told this correspondent. “Though we had a desire to see Jagan Mohan Reddy as Chief Minister, the decision is now left to party high command.”It is learnt that the municipal administration minister, Mr Ramnarayan Reddy, lost his cool when the Chief Minister cut him short on the issue of hike in rice quota.
Mr Ramnarayan Reddy said the Chief Minister should listen to him though the final decision was his.

First Jagan, after that any thing says cadre

The Congress’s much-hyped membership drive in the run-up to its organisational elections hasn’t evoked much enthusiasm at the grassroots level in the State after the sudden demise of chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in a chopper crash recently.
In fact, the membership drive launched by the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President D Srinivas on Thursday marred by loyalists of late chief minister’s son Y S Jaganmohan Reddy (who was popularly known as Jagan) demanding the Congress High Command to make Jagan next chief minister of the state.
When the PCC chief convened a meeting with Karimnagar, Medak, Prakasam, Kurnool and Mahaboobnagar District Congress Committee leaders through video-conference, they opposed to the membership drive till the High Command announces Jagan name for the coveted post.
The members staged dharnas and protest rallies demanding high command to make Jagan as next chief minister. However, D Srinivas appealed to them that the high command would take a positive decision on successor issue. He asked them to continue the membership drive as it would help them take government programmes directly to the people and strengthen the party base at grassroots level.

Lok Satta asks Govt to honour commitment to BC, EBC students

The Lok Satta Party today demanded the immediate payment of fees and grant of scholarships to backward class (BC) and economically backward class (EBC) students.
Talking to newspersons here, party spokesmen Katari Srinivasa Rao, V Laxman Balaji and E Chennayya alleged that the Andhra Pradesh Government, which sought to gain political mileage by announcing a hike in scholarship amounts for BC students and fee reimbursement to EBC students, did not show the same alacrity in implementing the decision even four months after the start of the academic year.
They demanded the Government to issue immediate orders without falling back on technicalities like reconciliation of vote on account and full budget allocations and suggested that the budgetary allocations for payment of fees and grant of scholarships be doubled so that every eligible student derived the benefit.
Application collection from old and new students should be accelerated and enough staff deputed to bring about coordination between college managements and bank branches, the party demanded.
Pointing out that 95 per cent of weaker section students did not go beyond school education and consequently could not avail of the benefits for higher education, the Spokesmen said the overnment should, therefore, strengthen school education and enable everyone to have free and quality education without reference to caste, religion and economic status.

Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy will fly to Pavaralagutta in Kurnool district by helicopter from Idupulapaya at 9 a.m. on Friday to pay homage to his father, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, at the chopper crash site.
The visit of Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy to Pavuralagutta in the Nallamala forest on Friday, 23 days after the helicopter crash that killed his father, assumes importance because after emerging out of the forest he will address a public meeting at Nallakalva and is expected to make some important announcement considering that the close members of his family are involved in making arrangements for the meeting.
The venue was being developed to accommodate one lakh people and food would be prepared for 50,000 people.

Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Kadapa MP and son of the late YSR, has sought an audience with the Congress chief,Mrs Sonia Gandhi, who is yet to respond to the move by a section of party leaders to make him the Chief Minister.He is expected to meet her sometime in the weekend after a public meeting at Nalla Kalva near Atmakur in Kurnool district on Friday afternoon. Sources, however, said Mr Jagan Mohan is unlikely to speak at the public gathering.
Though Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy wants to meet Mrs Gandhi to thank her for coming to Hyderabad to pay homage to YSR, his camp is keenly hoping that some message would be given to him by the high command.YSR’s son is also planning to meet the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, besides Mr Ahmed Patel, Mr Pranab Mukherjee and other senior party central leaders.
The Jagan camp is now expecting a decision to come from the high command only by the end of October, when the three state Assembly elections would get over. But they want to keep the succession issue alive till then.On Friday, Mr Jagan Mohan will travel to Nalla Kalva in Nallamalai forest area where a meeting and all-religion prayers have been arranged to pay homage to YSR.

KVP counting days to go home

Congress high command is closely watching the happenings in the state and there is a talk that it is going to take some key actions to stop the noise created by Jagan camp. Ministers are meeting KVP regularly and helping KVP to run the parallel government. KVP’s position is unknown after YSR’s death and chief minister K.Rosaiah also expressed doubt on KVP’s role in the government.
Faced with the distinct possibility that the high command may take more time in deciding the fate of Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy as well as the determined bid by some party seniors to scuttle his chances, YSR loyalists are redrawing their political strategy.
A teleconference by Mr. Srinivas with chiefs of six District Congress Committees to review party’s membership drive ended abruptly after slogan shouting cadres made a strong pitch for anointment of Mr. Jagan as the Chief Minister.
Ministers, PCC official spokes person Ambati Rambabu and MLAs have started shooting words against K.Rosaiah’s age and his capability to run the party cadre in the state. Congress high command strongly believing that KVP is behind the agitations and may put a check to all these by sacking him very soon from the government positions and also from the party.

TRS MLA says scam in party

The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) MLA from Mancherial, Mr G. Arvind Reddy, has termed the party as ‘TRS Private Company’ and accused the party president, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, of making huge money in the name of Telangana.He alleged that there was a big scam in the TRS like ‘Satyam’. He said Mr Rao will sit in the jail along with Ramalinga Raju of Satyam soon and claimed that he had enough proof about scam in the party.He asked the party chief to shut down the ‘company’ in the interest of the people of Telangana.Addressing a press conference, Mr Arvind Reddy questioned if the TRS leaders are using power to fight against him, why can’t the same power be used for the Telangana cause.
