We now have definitive proof that the PS5 version of Gears of War: E-Day was cancelled last minute before the Xbox Showcase this weekend.

In a delisted Xbox Podcast video, spotted by fans on ResetEra before it was removed, Microsoft has accidentally uploaded a video clip clearly showing a PS5 logo at the end of the third-person shooter’s trailer.

Movement on the PS Store suggests PS3 classics Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 could be coming to the PS5 and PS4 any day now – potentially as soon as tomorrow, after the Nintendo Direct.

Both games – released in 2010 and 2012 respectively – were rated for release in Korea a little over a month ago, although the news wasn’t widely picked up. I certainly missed it, anyway.

As much as we might want to know more about Persona 6 following its teaser trailer yesterday, Atlus has suggested it's going to remain tight-lipped on the project until after Persona 4 Revival releases.

P Studio director Kazuhisa Wada says as much in a press release sharing the latest surrounding the Persona series (via GamesRadar): "We are delighted to officially announce our work on the next instalment of the Persona series and look forward to sharing the incredible efforts that the entire team is putting into Persona 6 for its release after Persona 4 Revival."

We already knew that September's release schedule was bordering on absurd, but now that we're done with all of the summer gaming events — State of Play, Summer Game Fest, and the Xbox Games Showcase — it's basically the whole of the autumn / fall that looks insane.

Sabotage is tying a bow on its acclaimed turn-based title Sea of Stars and turning its attention to a new project with the release of a Sunset Edition for the RPG.

Available now on PS5 and PS4, the new version adds a cinematic introduction to the start of the game, which the team says is its "biggest budget" cutscene to date. A new key art, which is the lead image of this article and can be seen in the YouTube video above, has also debuted today. Then, in the game itself, the standard difficulty option has had some balance changes.

PowerWash Simulator 2 is about to get its biggest licenced DLC to date with Star Wars, and we now have a release date.

Here’s a weird one: Ninja Theory has renamed its cinematic story game from Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 to Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga today. (No, I’m not using roman numerals, they’re bad for SEO.)

I assume this change is designed to separate the sequel from the new game Senua, which sounds like it’ll be more of a self-contained experience.

You can certainly tell that Exodus is being spearheaded by ex-Mass Effect developers, because it looks near identical to BioWare's beloved series in terms of structure.

Halo: Campaign Evolved has been available for pre-order on PS5 for less than 24 hours, and that was more than enough time for its considerable Collector's Edition to completely sell out.

The physical Collector's Edition has been an exclusive offering on the Xbox Game Studios Shop, and both the listings in the USA and Europe are already out of stock. You can sign up to receive notifications should they come back into stock, but there's no guarantee that'll actually happen.

Playground Games has just wrapped up confirming Fable for a PS5 release on 23rd February 2027, and with it, PS Store pre-orders have gone live.
