News for 2013

Many of you will be pleased to hear the digger has not been in action this Winter.

The main changes have taken place on Heron lake. Due to fish welfare we have taken the decision to remove the majority of the pads running through the centre of heron at the end near the lawns. There are still some pads there. This decision has been made mainly due to them getting very thick and we have been suffering too many tethers and lost fish. To prevent any cross casting from fishing on both banks the swims opposite the lawns have been removed. This then gives the lawns swims the whole width of the lake and much more water to fish. Some other swims across the lake have been removed also to give each swim more water. This hopefully will result in a much better fishing experience and also with less anglers on the lake. The lawns swims are also to be levelled getting you closer to the water and the swims given a re-vamp with a hard firm base for your your pod and a nice swim to fish from.

There will be a price increase on both Heron and Broadwing to £12 per 12 hour period and therefore £24 per 24 hours.(There will be less anglers on the lake and this is the first price increase for several years)

Grove and Spring will remain at £10 per 12 hours.

We re-open for day tickets on 15th March 2013 and bookings are already being taken.

Our tackle shop/reception is currently open Mon to Fri 9-5 for any bits. We are now able to provide a much larger selection of bait/tackle/food than was previously on offer. There is also a microwave available for use by anglers. So there is no need to go to the tackle shop before you come as you will be able to get everything you need right here!

We limit the number of tickets allowed on each lake so to avoid disappointment please telephone us to book your carp fishing ticket (Spring, Grove, Heron & Broadwing) in advance to secure your place on the lake, especially at weekends!

Remember though that in order to limit anglers on the lake your day ticket will start at 7am or 6pm.

We have also taken the decision to stop holding matches on any of the coarse lakes.
