As mentioned at my doll blog, the old theme of this site was no longer supported and was not working properly, so I ended up making a quick update ^^;

This recipe is adapted from the 3 Ingredients Soufflé Cheesecake by Ochikeron.

We enjoyed it so much that I had to try to make a green tea version of it, and thankfully it worked out well in my personal opinion!

If you prefer a stronger green tea flavour please feel free to add a little more to taste. But please note if you add too much eventually it may become bitter.

Ingredients:
1 & 1/2 teaspoons of Matcha powder (unsweetened green tea powder)
White chocolate 120 grams
3 eggs, separated (room temperature)
Cream cheese 125 grams (room temperature)

Tools:
15 cm cake pan
Parchment paper
A larger cake pan – for water bath
Spatula (1 or 2)
Egg beater or Whisk
Teaspoon

Instructions:
1. Cut a strip wider than the side of the cake pan, fold about 1 cm and trim around the bottom, you may need to cut another small strip to make it fit.
2. Trace the bottom of the 15 cm cake pan on a piece of parchment paper and cut it out.
3. Line the cake pan and brush with oil. Brushing the joined area of the strip will make it “stick” together.
4. Boil water for the water bath. Preheat oven to 338 F
5. Melt white chocolate in a bowl placed over a pot of hot water (not boiling)
6. When chocolate melted completely, add room temperature cream cheese, mix well with a spatula
7. Add 1 & 1/2 teaspoons of unsweetened Matcha (green tea powder) and mix well again.
8. Remove from heat and add egg yolks, mix well.
Pass the green tea mixture through a sieve using a spatula for a smooth texture.
9. With a clean spatula (use a clean one or wash the one you used) scrape the bottom of the sieve as much as possible.
10. In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
11. Fold the egg whites in 3 parts into the green tea mixture. For the last mix, I poured the green tea mixture into the beaten egg whites.
12. As soon as the mixture looks combined, pour into the cake pan, drop the pan a few times on the table to remove large air bubbles.
13. Put cake pan into a larger pan, and then into the hot oven, carefully add up to 2 cm of hot water into the larger pan.
14. Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes, then turn on broiler for 2 minutes then turn off oven and leave door close for 15 minutes. (updated instructions!)
15. Lastly, turn oven off and leave the cake in it for another 15 minutes, and then cool completely on a wire rack before putting into the fridge to chill.
16. Important, chill completely in the fridge before removing parchment paper!

Aaaah…. I don’t update art posts often enough ^o^; Hope you like this quick art! My doll blog, and Ginko and Yoshi’s page has finally been updated as well ^o^/

As it turns out I was able to bug my husband to drive me to check out this year’s Rabbit Festival again ^o^! 

It was rainy when I arrived so I didn’t take a picture of the outside, like last year (click to see last year’s post).

I posted some photos on this blog entry, but if you want to see all the photos you can check out this album on flickr — also if you see any of your bunnies and would like to have a version without my URL, please leave a comment, I’ll try to send it to you, ideally I would like some kind of proof that the bunny is yours ^^; Some of the photos have been cropped so what you see may be the biggest size there is.

It feels like there was more people/bunnies compared to last year :)

Head bumps and nose boops!

I’m happy to say this year, other than checking out cute bunnies, I also visited a friend, Becky and her daughter whom I was able to befriend last year, they were volunteering at the festival. :)

Sundae (also Becky and her daughter’s bunny) won the banana eating contest (she poses next to her prize)! I was informed that Sundae decided she likes her ears to be different directions XD

Solving puzzles

It was my first time selling slightly larger prints of Fan Art, and first time Becky vended at the AR (on very short notice >_<;) I feel like I have a lot more to learn! Compared to a lot of other artists in the area, my work is not as impressive…… ^^;

Taiga sold well (Power of Taiga <3), I was very pleased when people asked for Popura! I hope to bring better work next time!  I was also able to do a couple commissions on day 2 and 3 with my limited copic markers ^^; I was very distracted by BlytheCon Vancouver I’m heavily involved in only one weekend before AR, so I was still somewhat in a zombie state ToT; but generally had a nice time interacting with some of the lovely people who came by :D

After being asked a couple times on the first day if I drew the artwork I was selling (o_o;;) I decided to start doodling at the booth as a sample, inspired by Matthew(I hope I recalled correctly!), a Seattle cosplayer who was cosplaying as Accelerator of Toaru Kagaku no Railgun ^o^ I was reminded I really adored Misaka and found Kuroko really amusing hence ^o^)/ Also thankfully my markers allowed me to do this ^o^;

Other commission in progress – Owari no Seraph, Yuu and Mika, had to sketch this one twice before inking and colouring, but thankfully 2nd attempt was okay ^o^/

I was re-commissioned by the two people who asked me for commissions on day 2 so that made me really happy — thank you!

You can see a cropped preview here (Kuroko Tetsuya from Kuroko no basket, Ruby and Jaune from RWBY) by the time I was done, I just hung out at my booth in a slight daze ^o^; The RWBY fan art made me a little sad (made me remember Monty Oum), I hope I did the characters justice!

As always, each experience made me think how I will probably try to do my next one differently, hopefully better.

And I hope to see you at Anime Revolution 2016! :)

I was super amused about Usagi’s voice actress… I can only picture Usagi as Ebichu when I don’t look at the screen ^o^;

Initially her mouth was different, I changed it, as all the mouths I had been drawing are all “O” mouths ^^;
