Choose Mike's Adventure

Back in the comic strip's original run, I made a "Choose your own adventure" plotline. Majority of the people highly enjoyed what became of it, while a few asshats called me being lazy, that I was telling the audience to write for me. Now I don't know about you, but I had to come up with all options and then write a comic strip as a result of each comic strip. That doesn't sound lazy to me. I had an idea in my head for each possible route the comic would take, and still, I was being sloppy of a writer. Well screw those people, we're doing it again. And since this version of P&N is a lot more character driven, things will be a lot more cannon. So choose wisely. Pick which plot you would want to see happen with Mike� It can be funny, serious, both, neither, who cares? It will be interesting to say the least.

This strip is a bit self-reflective. When I did the original run of Punks and Nerds, a lot of the humor was sexual and gross. A lot of criticism that I read or was told, was that such humor is often only found funny to those people who are deprived of sex. Now because Mike partially represents a part of the audience, I threw such criticism at him, and as you can see, it shut him up instantly. I think while it can be true, juvenile humor attracts a younger crowd that are doped up in puberty land, there are still people who simply finds humor in the low-brow. I know just as many people who are sexed up beyond belief that love such humor as those who are dried up and waiting for their next lay. And same goes for the opposite; I know people that once they have had intimate relationships, they move on from such humor.

Please enjoy this Beatles illustration I made during the week. It's been getting positive feedback with people I know, and I'm happy with it. A friend printed copies for me, and it just makes me think it might be of high quality enough to print a limited run of like... Hmm, 100? Because if you don't like The Beatles, I'm pretty sure your parents do (I know mine do, as does all my aunts and uncles). So, it would be a nice gift. Let me know if that's an idea, to do a limited print run, number them, and ship them to you. E-mail me your thoughts, how much you'd be willing to buy them at, so I can find a safe price range, and then find someone to print them for me. If this goes well, I'd be more than willing to keep making posters/prints like these. It was really fun to make, and even more rewarding when it was finished and came out the way it did.
