June 2009 - Puddlesuit Newsletter (PDF)

What happened
to the spring? I'm
sure you are all
feeling the same as I am...the last
few months have passed in the
blink of an eye! Preschool has
been lively and fun and messy
this last month, so many things
going on and so many things to
think about. The children are as
ever, delightful and full of ideas
and observations; they are growing
so quickly and changing just
as rapidly. Just when you think
you've figured it all out they are
on to the next thing. It's a fact of
life with young children...they
keep us on our toes!<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/puddlesuit/~4/Lo6vmxgZj3U" height="1" width="1"/>

May 2009 - Puddlesuit Newsletter (PDF)

Hi there Lansdowne
Families,
Another great month has
sped by and I’m amazed at how your
children are growing and becoming so
independent. Before we know it this
school year will be over and your little
ones will be moving on to new endeavors.
With that in mind I am trying to
prepare the fours class for Kindergarten.
Having the fours class come in on their
own (with drop off at the top of the steps)
has been working great.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/puddlesuit/~4/BaOixmU6UlM" height="1" width="1"/>

April 2009 - Puddlesuit Newsletter (PDF)

The past month has
whizzed by; it’s hard to remember
what we did way back in the beginning
of March. What I can tell
you is this: it’s been a great
month filled with new interests
and endeavors.
The field trip to the Compost
Education Centre was fabulous.
The earth educator who facilitated
our program was enthusiastic
and geared the program
specifically to the four year olds
developmental levels. She used
sock puppets, songs, repetition
and clear, interesting information
to help our class form an understanding
of what Worm Composting
is all about.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/puddlesuit/~4/If0iagRp2Bk" height="1" width="1"/>

This month we have been busy
with all matter of things. We are
watching our amaryllis bulb
grow and flourish. The children
have been making predictions
about when it will bloom, what
colour and how tall it will be,
what it will look like...it has
been very exciting. Sealed with
a kiss, we mailed valentines
that we had made. We’ve also
been sharing our favourite
books at library time and having
a lot of fun talking about
what we love about each one.
We also planned and opened
the Land of Nowhere Land
Restaurant.<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/puddlesuit/~4/3YbNvBTe_2g" height="1" width="1"/>

February 2009 - Puddlesuit Newsletter (PDF)

Finally!! The end
of January, spring
is within sight. I
read the other day that the most
desolate day of the year is January
28th....something to do with
extended period of low light and
the crash after Christmas vacation.
All I know is that I am always
overjoyed to see the first day of
February!<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/puddlesuit/~4/IENyWMulqPg" height="1" width="1"/>
