With few exceptions, the combat in Chains of Olympus is just as you’ve come to know and love. The controls are tight and in general quite good. Learning to evade attacks requires a bit of an adjustment, given that you need to hold both of the shoulder buttons and then move the analog stick, but you get used to it and it works fine. Kratos can make light and heavy attacks using his blades of chaos, and you can perform combos by pressing specific, simple button patterns. As soon as the opening cutscene ends, you’re thrown right into the middle of an epic battle in which you must defend Attica from the Persian Army and a basilisk, a huge, reptilian beast that the Persian forces unleashed on the city.

During the course of the game you’ll fight your way through Attica, some enormous caves, and eventually Hades. Each level is linear, though there are a few branching paths that can be explored to find bonus items. Chains of Olympus is much more combat-oriented than God of War II. You sometimes have to manipulate statues and other items to reflect light or activate a pressure switch to open doors, and you’ll find yourself doing a bit of platforming and swimming, but most often you’re on good old terra firma while battling foot soldiers, sirens, medusas, cyclopes, and other mythical creatures so that you can open a door or break through a magical barrier to get to the next area. The heavier focus on action certainly keeps things moving, and the combat is as awesome as ever, but the occasional bit of puzzle-solving and high-wire acrobatics is missed here. This is really one of the most must-have games in the history of Playstation, specially PSP.

Dissidia is an action game produced by Square Enix for the PlayStation Portable as part of the campaign of the Final Fantasy series 20th anniversary. Information on the game was first released during the “Square Enix Party” event of May 2007. The game features characters from different Final Fantasy games and centers around a great conflict between the heroes and villains, as the god of discord, Chaos, tries to wrestle control of their worlds from the forces of good. This is really one of the best PSP games out there!

Similar to many fighting games, the aim is for the player to reduce their opponent’s HP to zero. A character whose BP total has been depleted is forced into “Break mode”,, all attacks made against them cause critical damage, and the opponent gets a large boost to their BP. A character’s offensive power is shown in numerical form called BP or “Brave Points”. Now this is a very cool and awesome fighting game, isn’t it?

Warped consists of two main modes of gameplay: a hub room and the levels. The hub room is called the Time Twister, and is split into five areas, each containing a boss fight and 5 levels each. Only one area in the hub is accessible, but more are opened as the areas are completed. The levels featuring Crash largely follow the “follow-the-path” gameplay seen in previous games in the series, but other modes, such as riding a biplane, jetski, baby dinosaur, tiger, and motorcycle can be seen along with this. Another new feature is the ability to gain new abilities by defeating a boss. These abilities are a stronger belly-flop, a double jump, a longer spinning attack, faster running speed and a bazooka which fires wumpa fruit. This game is truly awesome and fantastic that PSP gamers will surely enjoy!
