The device from the audio experts has a huge number of tricks, but it needs to have for its £300 price tag, ouch.

The Bang & Olufsen BeoTime is a wireless alarm clock that also allows you to control your Bang & Olufsen’s home entertainment system, yes ok a remote control. The device has a built-in alarm tone allowing you to choose which tone you wish to be woken up too.

The BeoTime can also switch on your BeoVision 10 TV, or sound system, the device is very small but very clever. The BeoTime is very light as it is made from aluminum, and the D-pad has a nice quality feel to it, again, it needs to have for the price.

There are three small screens that are all backlit and will dim depending on the ambient light. The Bang & Olufsen BeoTime even has an internal accelerometer, so it knows which way to set the screens.

Earlier today we briefly introduced you to a new device made by Peek, this device is a dedicated Twitter device which is called the TwitterPeek, a review has now shown up on SlashGear.

The review however has not came back to favorably, the review was actually carried out by PC Mag and can be seen here.

One problem with the device is the fact that all Tweets are truncated, therefore require a user to select a particular Tweet to view it, I would imagine this would become very annoying very fast, another problem occurs when you choose to follow someone on Twitter, you can only see Tweet’s made since following the user, any Tweet’s prior to this are invisible to you.

There are a lot more problems with device, including lack of search functionality and the overall speed of the device, all in all it seems that the functionality this dedicated device offers is perhaps worse then smartphone applications offer, check out SlashGear for more.

We have a hands-on review for you to read now, on the recently released update for Apple TV. Version 3.0 gives you a selection of new features for you to play around with, most notably a big interface makeover for the main menu, as well as support for iTunes LP.

The review comes from MacVideo, who have given us their impressions following the update last week. Once you have updated to 3.0, you’ll see that the ‘two column grid’ has now been replaced by a brand new menu split up into seven categories (Movies, TV Shows, Music, Podcasts, Photos, Internet, and Settings) - which is much more ideal and stylish for those with big widescreen tvs.

If you are planning to pick up an Apple TV set in the future, or just havent updated your software yet, you should check out the full review over at MacVideo for full details.

As reported from Apple Insider, Apple have altered the terms and conditions for iTunes, which is clear indication that an update is on the way soon.

Two new features that have been confirmed is support for iTunes LP and iTunes Extras content. iTunes LP, which was announced at their recent media event, encourages users to purchase full albums, by offering bonus and extra content that you wouldn’t normally get when purchasing somewhere else.

Head over to Apple Insider, to see a list of just some of the artists that will be providing extra content for the iTunes LP service.

The models which are being recalled were all built in 2003 and sold between September 2003 through to December 2007 for around $50, there are said to be 68,700 affected surge protectors in all.

According to SlashGear the exact reason for the recall is to do with the 360-degree rotating power outlets, over time these can deteriorate and then cause a risk of electric shock.

For more information regarding the recall check out SlashGear’s article, if you are unsure whether your model is effected I recommend contacting Belkin Support.

Tech Radar has been spending some time with the new camera and thought they would offer their readers an extensive review.

They start off by letting us know that the Pentax K-x is a DSLR for beginners, so means that it is simple to use and will not break the bank. The price is just £599, that does sound a lot at first, but you have to consider how much camera you are getting for that price.

The Pentax K-x and the Pentax K-m look very much the same when side-by-side, they both have a 2.7-inch LCD screen and the button layouts also look the same. However, the similarities end there, all the hardware inside is different.

The Pentax K-x comes with the PRIME II engine and an upgraded 12.4MP sensor. The new camera’s sensor is a CMOS chip, this allows for HD Video. Read Tech Radar’s review and their final thoughts on the Pentax K-x.

The reason for the recall is because there have been approximately 10 reports of batteries overheating, this has led to eight fires which have caused property damage.

So far there have been no injuries caused by these fires, however both Coby Electronics and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission feel it is necessary to recall the products.

For more information regarding the recall check out SlashGear’s article here, if you are in doubt as to whether your model is affected we recommend not using the product again before contacting Coby Electronics.

Do you own an affected model? If so, how helpful have Coby Electronics been?

Canon has launched a website for the new camera and has offered us a few spec details as well as two videos.

Engadget have been taking a closer look to see what is new with the EOS-1D Mark IV. The first thing that you need to know is its 16.1 megapixel APS-H CMOS sensor. This is just the start; it gets better from here such as its ISO range of 100 to 12,800 native, which goes up to 102,400. This is hitting on Nikon territory.

Other features include 45-point area customizable autofocus, dual Digic 4 processors, Wi-Fi, 1080p HD video and much more. The new camera is due out in December, with a price estimated at $4,999. That price is for the body only.

We know that the details are somewhat vague, so why not watch a couple of videos of the Canon EOS-1D Mark IV to give you a better insight of the new camera.

We have a hands-on photo gallery for you to check out now, for the newly announced Nikon D3S dslr Camera. The camera will be available in December and is an upgrade to their popular ‘DS’ range.

The hands-on review and photos come to us courtesy of Pocket-Lint, who have uploaded a nice collection of images of the D3S for everyone to enjoy.

Aside from the features mentioned in our previous report here, this beast will also be able to record AVI videos at a resolution of 720p, at 24fps.

I suppose the only downside is it’s rather beefy £4199.99 price tag, but it still shouldn’t put off the hardcore photographers out there.

Head over to Pocket-Lint for the gallery of photos.

WaterField Designs have announced the release of a cool looking Suede Jacket case for the Zune HD. The case has a minimalist look to it, and the soft Suede material is scratch-free unlike other device cases on the market. There are two versions, one with or one without a pocket.

The Zune HD suede jacket cases from WaterField Designs have no seams on the outside as all of the stitching is on the inside, which gives the case more of a quality feel. Normally when you wish to protect a device such as this Zune HD, they are often bulky, taking away the original sleek design. These cases help keep the Zune HD look slim as it should be, oh did we forget to mention that it doubles up as a screen cleaner.

The case with the pockets is ideal to keep cash and credit cards in; you can even store your earbuds in there as well. The Suede Jacket Case for the Zune HD costs just $9; the version with the pockets costs just $13. The case only comes in black.
