Finally I have some time for open source work. Expect updates to most of my projects in the coming weeks. (2008-03-22)

A few days ago I gave a presentation at this year’s RubyEnRails. I wasn’t in my best shape, but I hope people enjoyed it nonetheless. I had a lot of fun at the conference and look forward to the next one! (2008-06-12)

On a somewhat related note, the Dutch government has decided to switch back to voting with pencil and paper due to security concerns with electronic voting.

If you use Debian, or a derivative such as Ubuntu, you should read the key rollover documentation related to advisory DSA-1571. Or be compromised, if that’s your thing. (2008-05-16)

Oh, right, Cristi released braid 0.4 a few weeks ago. Be sure to check the the usage and examples page on the wiki. (2008-05-14)

… the real threat is crap music. ― Jah Wobble

Cuzillion looks like a really useful tool for reducing page load times. (via Fingertips)

I gave a very brief demonstration of braid at last night’s Amsterdam.rb. A new release should be out soon, for now you can use Cristi’s branch. (2008-04-29)

It’s taken me all my life to learn what not to play. ― Dizzy Gillespie

Here’s are some visualisations of rap in charts and graphs, in case you hadn’t seen them before. I especially like the Souls of Mischief integral.

KDE and GNOME will co-host their next flagship conferences. How cool is that?

So much for the liberal media, indeed.

Seen in a torch protest sign: “Would we have allowed Nazi Germany to host the Olympics?” Ummm…

Okay, so Rails is moving from Subversion to GitHub, and from Trac to Lighthouse.
I think GitHub already proved it’s worth before the official launch, though Lighthouse has yet to impress me.

Wow, I just found out Bill Cosby made some pretty good music. Case in point, Martin’s Funeral.

Programming in Factor is really fun once you get the hang of it.

My lazy_sweeper and has_uuid Rails plugins just found their way to GitHub.
